To say Andy was in love with Miranda was an understatement. But she simply wasn't brave enough to act on her feelings in any way, especially since she was still working for her. No matter what, she thoroughly enjoyed the closeness between them whenever she got the chance to. For example, being physically close in the elevator, at events (when she had to whisper names into her ear) or during the runthrough while taking notes.

But she'd also grown closer to Miranda on a more personal level. She had the privilege to spend time with her daughters when Cara wasn't available and she knew that was the highest praise she could get from her. That level of trust was incredible. She also got to see Miranda interact with the twins and see a more personal side of her during these times. The twins had started to love her and they texted her regularly about how much they missed her or sometimes asked what kind of mood their mom would be in if she got home.

Andy was happy with their relationship and didn't want to lose being so close to her. "Ughh! Nigel, did you see what she was wearing today?" Andy asked while they are lunch together.

"I did." His answer was short and he raised his eyebrow in a questioning way. He knew about Andy's feelings for their boss and smirked.

"Oh my god, Nigel. You're doing it on purpose, right?" Andy said as it dawned on her.

"Whatever are you talking about?" Nigel said innocently as he took another bite of his salad.

"You know exactly what I mean. You are responsible for Miranda's wardrobe." Andy frowned. "She's been dressing extra sexy lately. So, just admit it. It's you isn't it, choosing sexy clothes? You're trying to kill me?" She whispered over the table.

"Well, I wouldn't say that, I was just thinking that you would enjoy having something exquisite to look at while you're at work," Nigel chuckled.

"Well I do...but...ugh!" Andy brushed her hand through her bangs in frustration. "It's getting harder every day not to pounce on her. I mean, come on, Nigel. That low-cut wrap-around dress today." She whined.

"Mmm. Fits her like a glove, I'm proud of that look, to be honest." Nigel teased. "But just wait for the wrap-around blouse I've chosen for tomorrow's outfit. And the skirt is extra short." He said trying to get into Andy's head.

"Oh my god! I...I won't survive that. I wish I knew if there was even the slightest chance, you know, that she may think about me the way I do about her. But I know it's just wishful thinking." Andy said sadly, wiping her mouth since she finished her clam chowder.

"Not in that outfit or those shoes Six." Nigel glanced at his watch. "Oh shoot, let's go. We're late."

"Shit," Andy responded and they hurried back into the office. "Do you think you can help me?" She asked on their way back to Runway.

"Do I ever?" Nigel said getting excited. "Let me put together some clothes for you for tomorrow. Make sure you make an appointment with Serena for your hair and makeup and you will be one of us...uhm...you know, fashion-wise," he said and they both chuckled.

"Alright, let's get back to the dragon's lair first," Andy said

They exited the elevator and rushed down the corridor, arriving at the runthrough.

An hour later they'd made it through the runthrough and Andy was about to sit at her desk to write her notes when she was called back into Miranda's office.

"Andrea?" She rushed towards Miranda's office and was asked for coffee before the beautiful silver-haired woman looked up. "Also make sure to make reservations for me and my lawyer tomorrow at noon, at that Italian place I like," Miranda demanded.

Andy knew this was about the divorce and she was more than happy she was in the process of getting rid of the poor excuse of a man she was married to. Well, not for long. She thought, nodding at the woman and grabbing her purse quickly before leaving the office.

She made the reservations while she was on the way to Starbucks. As she was finishing on the phone she went inside Starbucks and the person who held the door open let go so suddenly that Andy, who wasn't paying attention, got hit right in the head by the door. She fell backwards and hit the sidewalk hard so she was flat on her back.

"Oh my god! Miss, are you okay?" A woman asked. Opening her eyes, she saw her kneeling by her side. Andy groaned and blinked a few times. "I think we need to call an ambulance."

"No...no ambulance. I'm fine...see..." She sat up to prove she was okay. "Just fine," Andy said. She stood up and swayed slightly, the woman holding following her up and holding her steady. Regaining her balance, she raised a hand and felt a big bump on the back of her head. Pulling her compact from her purse, she realised that luckily she only had a red mark on her forehead. She could just cover it up with some makeup and no one would be any the wiser. She checked her watch and cursed. "Uhm, thank you, you were very kind but I'm okay, I gotta hurry back to work. Thank you again," she said as she made her way to order Miranda's coffee.

Once back she hurried to the outer office. "Emily, take her coffee. I fell and I look like shit with my mark on the forehead. Please, she's already waiting. Tell her I've made the reservations she asked for." Andy shrieked.

Emily almost freaked out. "Oh my god, don't let her see that. Give me that coffee and make sure you go to Serena to let her cover up the bruise."

Although Miranda was confused momentarily when Emily brought the coffee, she didn't care and just waved her off. She would be leaving the office soon enough anyway and couldn't be bothered by her blathering.

Andy was back in the office in no time and her mark was beautifully covered up. They also talked about the next day and her little makeover. Serena had great plans for her already. She started typing up her notes from this afternoon.

Miranda walked out of her office. "I'm leaving for today," she said but Andy kept hearing her voice even though she didn't talk. -I can't wait to get home tonight and see my angels. I wonder what Cara cooked for dinner- Andy was shocked for a moment but grabbed her coat and bag. She helped her inside when again she heard Miranda's voice. -She smells so good, but I wish she wouldn't wear that hideous skirt, I'm certain Chanel would suit her-

"Roy's, downstairs," Andy said still confused as hell. "See you tomorrow Miranda."

"Goodbye," Miranda whispered airily. Andy heard her before she finally went into the elevator. -I hope we still have enough dog food at home, Patricia will be mad if we don't. I'll just send Cara tomorrow if we're short.-

"Did you hear her talk about dog food?" Andy asked Emily.

"Andy, did you hit your head a bit too hard? Miranda didn't talk about dog food. She just said goodbye." Emily said. "You should go home tonight. I'll wait for the book."

"No, no need. I'll do it. I'm fine I promise." Andy answered hastily and sent Emily home. She waited for the book and finished her notes during that time. She called Roy and was glad he wasn't too far away and he would pick her up.

Once at the townhouse, Andy put the book on the table and put the clothes in the closet to her left as she was told. "Andrea?" She was kind of scared to go and couldn't; just ask what she wanted. What if she heard her voice again even though she wasn't talking? Maybe she did have a mild concussion. She shook her head and went into the kitchen where Miranda was seated. "Ah, there you are. I need you to get me 15 skirts from Ralph Lauren's department tomorrow morning." Miranda explained.

Andy smiled at her and nodded. "Alright, I'll do that first thing before I'll go into the office."

"Good and make sure Roy drives you," Miranda said and suddenly Andy heard. -So you will be safe. I wanted to ask her something else but I forgot what...shoot...think Miranda...think before she leaves-

That's when it hit Andy. She was able to hear what Miranda was thinking. She wanted to burst out with an "Oh my god" but then realised that she had to stay calm. "Uhm anything else I maybe can help you with?" She queried, watching Miranda start to frown.

-yes there was something but I can't...was it something for work? No, it had to do with the twins- Miranda thought.

Since Andy heard she knew what she was about to ask. "Oh, by the way, I made sure that the arrangements for the girl's trip to their grandma are made and Cara said she will pack their belongings before the weekend."

-right, the train tickets for the girls. That was it- "Acceptable, that's all," Miranda said dismissively. -Gosh that was almost embarrassing. Thank god she's so efficient.-

Andy stopped in her tracks when she heard Miranda's thoughts and smiled before she kept on walking. So she thought she was efficient? Andy loved it. On the way home, she was wondering what had caused her to hear Miranda's thoughts so suddenly. And why it was only hers and no one else's. In a small way, she was glad she'd be able to hear what Miranda needed before she could verbalise it. But she knew it would be also hard because she would hear the unfiltered truth about anything and everything.

Suddenly she wasn't so sure if it was a good thing to hear everything she thought...
