Disclaimer: Buffy the vampire slayer doesnt belong to me(which is probably a good thing, i get the feeling i would mess it up completely)
The Worlds Fate - The Slayers Destiny
The World is shaped through Storys, they change us and give us reasons to Hope…to Believe.
They tell tales of good against evil, of those who stand up to defeat those who try to extinguish the light.
When the darkness raises its claws, those Heroes stand tall against it.
They risk their lifes for those who can not fight, to Protect the Light for others to Walk in.
But every story that is written or told...has a dark stain that is hidden from Sight.
In all of those tales, there is a part that has never been told, a part that sometimes gets erased so it can stay a Story that inspires and brings Light.
Once Upon A Time, there was a Girl, chosen to fight evil.
Like many before and after her, this girl had to shoulder the weight of the world.
However, she was different than those who were chosen before her.
She did not fear death, nor those who could bring it.
She feared nothing even before she was chosen.
This girl was destined to fight Vampires, Demons and the Forces of Evil for as long as she would be able to do.
One day, her destiny began as the blood of another girl drenched the Earth.
On this day, when one's life ended, her destiny began as a Slayer.
Strong enough to endure what the depths of hell threw at the world, Slayers fought evil wherever it was.
Alone, this girl stood tall against monsters and demons, this girl didnt run from evil, she stood in front of it and held it back from swallowing everything good.
A girl who had lost everything that mattered to her.
All she had left was her power and her own will.
Nothing could stop her on her way to fight evil...except herself.
The power she possessed was great, strong enough to battle hell's creatures.
Through this Power, she felt like she could make the World into a Place that would not turn her away, a world that would not leave her...a world that she could shape however she thought was right.
She had the Power to save the world.
But it was never her Goal to save the world, nor those in it.
Her Goal was Destiny, change her Destiny, shape destiny, have it bow down to her will…it became her Sole purpose.
The more she sought out to change Destiny, the stronger she got and the more she hungered for greater power, greater control of Destiny.
Soon the only thing that mattered to her was strength and power, she sought it more than anything in this world, lost herself in the feeling of it.
She held the Destiny of Good and Evil in her hands, the Girl coming from Nothing was everything.
Her thirst for power drove her to places beyond the limits of the known world.
The Watchers, tasked to Guide Slayers like her, feared her and tried to stop the madness that fell onto her mind out of good intentions...but it was too late.
They realized their Mistake too late, interfered too late.
Saw too late how far gone she was, how the Power Corrupted her long ago.
The Slayer had learned too much without them, including the almost limitless power of the Dark.
The power of the Slayer and Dark magic ran through her blood, something that should never happen.
The Watchers were no opponents for her Powers and fell one by one at the hands of her thirst.
She felt betrayed by the World and by the Watchers who she felt should thank her for her sacrifices and the just world she wanted to build.
Betrayed, her Vengeance knew no limits.
The Woman destined to Protect the world from Evil…became the very Evil that she was Destined to fight once.
But even though she was strong, Death is a Force stronger than anything.
Soon she used her powers to fight good and evil in her Bloodlust, seeking even more Power...Power to challenge the Gods even.
For that she was ready to sacrifice everything.
Her madness created a monster within her, a monster that would destroy her.
One Day, all her Power was not enough to save her.
She fell as Good and Evil faced her in a Desperate attempt to save both their worlds.
Death was ready to take its hold on her.
The Order of The Watchers only saw one way to make sure that nobody would walk the same path she walked...they had to erase every trace of her.
They had to make sure that nobody would ever know she existed.
To prevent history from repeating itself, they had to destroy the legacy and legend of one of the Greatest and strongest slayers in the world.
But Unbeknown to them, their hands didn't act on their own…Powers greater than them, had worked to archive this Goal because even to them…the Slayer was a Danger.
Powers above and Between the Worlds also erased the Slayer from their plane of Existence to prevent Destruction of all Life.
The Slayer that fell into Eternal Darkness and could have destroyed the world, was wiped from the past, present and future...or so they thought.
Not even Death was able to contain her forever, her spirit and will could not be stopped...even in the dark places were Death lies.
A Part of Her resisted the call from Death, it hid where nobody would look...feeding on the Ancient First Evil in the world…waiting.
One Day she was found...one trace of her existence was left and it was enough to guide someone to her.
The day the First evil was destroyed , created an opening for her to Escape, it was the day were she would rise from the Death.
Her long slumber was not enough to stop her madness, her hatred for the world was stronger than ever before.
She would not stop, not before the world would be covered in flames and ashes.
Not Until the world would be Reborn with her as a God.
Chapter 1
Forgotten Evil
Somewhere in a Monastery, deep in Romania….Thirteen months after the fall of Sunnydale.
Beyond the woods, near a deep cliff at the top of a Canyon, an old monastery stood tall. engulfed in the moonlight.
Behind its Gates, Brothers of The Order of St. Dumas lived there.
The Order Guarded relics and books that held secrets and magical spells that could shatter the world of the Living and those Beyond.
They were Guardians and protectors, soldiers of the Light in a never ending fight against Evil. Their sacrifices made it possible for the innocent to live, to dream and to prosper every day. They watched over knowledge that was long forgotten…but not tonight.
Tonight the walls were drenched, the peace was Disturbed.
Inside, behind those walls waged a War, A fight between good and Evil.
Tonight, monks were Scattered around, lying in their own blood.
Their robes had cuts from blades and claws, their limbs were ripped from the bodies.
The Moonlight drew long shadows while the howling wind carried away the screams and growls between those walls.
The Smell of Burning flesh and bones filled the air, Ashes fell like snowflakes to the ground.
Once a holy sanctuary, now it was a place filled with Corpses, Darkness and Death.
"Wherever evil roams, the Gods will extinguish it" The lone voice of a Monk echoed through the Darkened halls. "Begone evil, whatever witchcraft you used to pass the seal, it wont be strong enough to defeat Gods holy Warriors." He held his Cross staff in front of him as it started to glow from the magic passing through it.
Three vampires, creatures of the Night, attacked him, but they were thrown away by an Invisible barrier that shielded the Monk.
"No Evil shall pass, your tricks wont work in these Rooms" The monk screamed, sweat dripping from his forehead.
A hollow laugh rang beneath the growls of the creatures trying to circle around the man "Oh little monk, I didn't do anything yet…no trick or anything. That was not even necessary, because it was your kind that granted me entrance to your holy grounds and let me open the Barrier, it was you who let Evil in" A Woman's voice no doubt about it.
"LIES, not one of my brothers would have let you pass…LIES" The monk screamed and drove the staff into the ground.
The whole Monastery shook from the force of it as a gust of Air shot from the staff, sending the Vampires flying.
But suddenly, out of the shadows, a hand was on his throat and lifted him up "My, what a temper you have" The Hand squeezed his throat harder, he gasped for Air "There is no need for such an outburst my little monk. It does not matter what you think or believe, the simple truth is that you opened Pandora's box long ago. Arrogance, self-righteousness…you are always your own worst Enemy." A crack of Lightning in the Distance Rang hollow.
"Those like you, they feared the Darkness and weren't brave enough to stand against it on their own…you made warriors out of the innocent, because you were afraid to fight Evil yourself" The woman laughed while she was still hidden in the shadows the Moonlight didn't dare to cross "You hide behind those symbols while you let others be your sacrifice. Like pigs just waiting to get slaughtered, you shove them in front of you" She pointed at the staff before swiping it out of the Monks hands as if it was nothing, as if it held no Power. It fell to the ground and shattered into pieces.
"Behind books and false faith to redeem yourself. The world had a long time to shine in a light that you wanted to control, that you created. Faith and Beliefs in Gods that just watch the world crumble, that is all you have."
The Monk grew weaker beneath the Womans grip, his grasping for Air became shallower "This world does not belong to weak people who pray and follow. It belongs to those who have power and take what they want, those who stand up and fight…The World belongs to ME."
The Woman threw the monk across the room and against the wide Doors behind him, destroying them with his body as he crashed into it.
Beyond the broken doors there was a Large room with Books and Artifacts from all over the world. In it was a platform which held a Round object on a Pedestal that seemed to float in the air. "There it is" The womans voice was a sweet as sugar, the Monk looked on in Panic.
Hidden in the Shadows, the Presence of the Woman walked past the monk, he grabbed what he hoped was her leg.
From the shadows came the scream of another woman suddenly, like Acid that burns the Skin
"HOW DARE YOU." But the first woman just laughed at the Monk "Let him be Magna, his gods have already abandoned him long ago, he can not hurt even a Fly."
"Don't" the Monk said with a weak voice, looking up into the shadows "There is nothing for you here at all, whatever you seek is not to be found in this place. All you find here are books and symbols."
"Hm, and what about THAT little Monk?" They both knew what she meant, the monks feeble attempt at trickery, pointless despite his tries "It is an empty artifact that serves you no purpose, it is nothing you need."
"Wrong…it is everything I need" She pointed at the Platform, her hand leaving the Shadows "You see little monk, it is true that THIS wont do me any good…Not alone."
"But after I find the other pieces…I will have Everything I need. I know its purpose because I know the history that was erased."
The Woman finally left the Shadows that only seemed to be there for her completely. Almost as if they wanted to Shield her from the Eyes of the World itself. She kneeled in front of the Monk. Her Skin had a purple tone, the veins around her face were black as if her blood was Darkness itself. The Womans eyes looked like Pulsating Blood as her Pupils studied the Man.
Her diabolical grin scared the monk, he felt the darkness deep in his soul as he felt his whole body become cold and heavy.
The monks eyes widened at the look of the Woman but even more at her words, "Once its complete again, it will help me bring this world to its knees. I will reshape the Cosmos, The universe and the Worlds beneath with it."
"Magna" Commanded the Woman without taking her eyes of the Monk.
"Bring her the Sword Pommel" The Other Woman, still hidden in the Shadows, ordered.
Vampires rushed towards the Pedestal, the monks eyes followed them hopeless at first…but as the Vampires reached towards the Object, a smile appeared on the Monks bruised face.
In an instant the Vampires Burned to ashes, a yellow magical barrier appeared around the Round Pedestal.
"There is nothing here for you that someone like you can get for their own dark and selfish reasons. All this bloodshed for nothing…crawl back into your hole, Demon." The Monk taunted, knowing fully well that his body was too damaged to survive.
The Grin on the Womans face died, she stared at the barrier with an angry expression.
"It doesn't matter if you know about the Blade, it is out of your reach…The powers will never abandon those who believe in them."
Suddenly the Womans fingers grasped the neck of the monk, she lifted him up with ease. A Grin appeared on the Womans face again, as she walked towards the Barrier.
"Oh poor me, I came so far, and now can not get what I came for…oh what will I do now?" The Womans Grin never left her face as she took a few steps forward.
"Tell me Monk, what do you think will happen if you touch the Barrier? Will it burn you too. Is your faith in them enough? Is their faith in you strong enough? Do they care about you at all? Or was you begging and praying to them, only there to fuel their egos?" She taunted, taking another step.
"That is the trick with faith isn't it…you don't know if its enough, if your faith pleases those you put it into…if it will make you worthy, bring the salvation you desperately and fearful seek…or if it burns you and turns you to nothing but ashes."
Right before the Barrier the woman stopped.
"What makes you think this barrier will stop what I have planed? Look around you, everyone of you believed this place was safe, that you can protect this relic because Higher powers are on your side. Now all of your Brothers are dead, so what makes you think I wont find a way to get past this?"
With all the strength he could muster, the Monk smiled "Because it is not meant for us or anybody else Witch…we made sure of it."
The Monk grabbed the Womans arm with both of his hands, bringing himself closer to her face. He looked deep in the Womans eyes, defiant till the last breath in his eyes. "Only the Slayer can overcome the Barrier. Only the Chosen one is able to reach this. There is only one being in the World that can make the Blade whole again...and she is on our side. No matter what you do…it will fail."
With every piercing word, the Womans face got angrier, it was as if she was Struggling with herself inside. The Words of the Monk wiped the grin of her face, the Shadows danced again and hid her in the Dark where only her Eye remained like a glowing fire full of hatred.
"Even after she activated all the Potentials in the world, it is only her who can cross the barrier because she is the True one, chosen by the Protectors ways. So begone Demon, you're weak against the Powers that lead us. You are nothing against those who have been chosen."
The Silence in the Room grew, the Monk started to fade. He knew it was done, the world was safe, his sacrifice and that of his Brothers would be worth it. This being in front of him was just another demon, a monster that wanted more power than it deserves. But there was not Greater Power than the Gods, evil would always fail against those who believed in them.
Then the sound of her laugh came through with such force that the Monk thought the whole world was trembling from it.
It shook him awake before he could fade. The Womans free hand reached towards the Barrier while her Laugh echoed through the Monks ears and the monastery like a cold wind.
Her hand passed right through the Barrier without burning it, she clenched her fist and ripped the object that was on the pedestal from it. "I was Chosen once" She whispered, The woman strengthened her grip on the Monks neck. His eyes widened as he looked at the object in the Womans hand.
He couldn't understand, his mind started to drift away, but the Womans words he still could hear. "I gave this world everything, you and everybody else took all I had from me. And what was the thanks I got? You erased me and the sacrifices I made. You stole my world from me, my legacy…MY POWER. The world will burn and the Slayer will not be able to stop me.
She will join me or die…for I am her Queen and soon…the Ruler of all."
She clenched her fist and with a sick sound, the Monks neck broke under her grip. The Woman dropped the lifeless body and stared at the object in her hand, it was round and had holes all around itself. It looked old but seemed to have been created with much care and purpose. Black smoke came out of the holes, danced around the object as if they belonged to it.
The Womans hollow laugh got carried away from the wind. She walked past the growling monsters and vampires. "Burn it all to the ground, I have all I need from this place."
The sound of Fire burning away everything echoed through the monastery, while the Woman's laughter tore into the night.
The world had once forgotten about her, but she had returned, and would make sure that this would never happen again.
Not in HER world.

Authors Notes
-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-
So I want to "Officially" Welcome you all to my First Lengthy Fanfiction ever.
It has been a blast to Outline this, to come up with Plot points, dialogue…and writing it.
I want to use the Author notes to give some insight on my ideas, my opinions and so on when it comes to this Story, Buffy or General things when there is something to tell.
I like the idea of some kind of Behind the Scenes stuff, giving you guys a look at how things are the way they are and so on.
Telling you why I did something, how I feel about this or that.
Of course if that is not something you like to read or so, feel free to tell me.
Then I will drop that, I don't want to waste your time with useless talking after all.
So to the first BTS stuff of the First chapter.
Since the history of the slayers has many holes i thought it would be nice to fill it a bit and use a Slayer as the big bad.
Seemed like a cool idea to have Buffy fight against someone who is on her "level".
There is much potential to be found in the Buffy universes, which helps Fanfiction writers well developing their own plot.
I actually had planned to write a whole Backstory on this Slayer…and yes I will tell you right now that this is not some trick or so.
This big bad is a Slayer.
I was worried fleshing her backstory out, would made her Sympathic in some kind of way and I didn't want that.
She needs to be the big bad without a doubt and a fleshed out backstory might ruin that.
This one needs to be someone who tasted Power and was corrupted by it.
Of course every Slayer is kind of Tragic because you don't choose it, you get thrown into it.
But in this case I really wanted to have a "pure" evil Big Bad.
As for the unknown character named Magna.
She was initially planned to be Cecily aka Halfrek.
I always thought they wasted potential with her and Spikes History.
Halfrek/Cecily could have been made more important especially for season 6-7...but okay.
I know some comic touched the subject more but not good enough for me.
I had her planned in for a long time until I realized that I simply don't have anything going with her.
I didn't have anything planned involving her and Spike so I changed the character to Magna.
The idea to make Halfrek and Cecily two different characters I still there since the show never fully pointed it out as far as I remember.
So maybe the idea can be used by me some day or by someone else…I don't know.
Maybe I still turn Magna into Cecily in the future of this story, but at the moment where I am, there is no real interaction with her and Spike that needs her to be this character.
It plays no role to anything at the moment.
Since English is not my first language im worried that the dialogue, speech patterns and so on dont work as i intend it.
I have it all in my head and until i write it, everything makes sense or feels pretty good.
But every writer knows that the moment you start to actually write, it isnt as easy as it seems. :)
So im open for every advice on the writing itself, the flow of my writing and stuff.
I don't intend to have someone as beta writer because already putting this chapter out, puts a lot of stress on me to finish it.
I need this because I do want to finish it, but I don't want to force anything so I feel like with a beta writer and all, this would force me to an uncomfortable extent and make things only worse.
I decided to post this chapter as a kind of kick in the ass to tell myself not to abandon the story again, not to let it sit here and work on it, no matter how long it takes.
I already feel bad enough if one person likes this story and wants it to continue fast, so im already stressing myself out as it is, a beta reader who waits for me to finish and all…ten times worse and it feels like I waste someones time with it.
Anyway, this is it for the moment…not much to say outside of this stuff.I so hope that I manage to keep this going, but life hasn't become calmer since I first outlined it.
However im determined to finish it finally, we will see.
Until the next time, please stay safe and happy.
