Chapter 4
Ria woke to a very relaxed but tense feeling in her body as she remembered what happened the day before. She was in Ame with people who wanted to train her and then start a war to unite the world under one banner.
'Good morning Kurama.' "Morning kit." Ria heard her biju respond as she walked out of her room and into the kitchen. The clock read 6:03 as Ria found the coffee maker and satrted a pot while turning on the stove and making a few eggs.
"Why are you up so early?" A monotone voice asked from the hallway where the bedrooms are. When Ria turned she saw the one and only Itachi Uchiha looking at her. "Im making food then I'm going to walk around unless you have plans for me." Ria said as she scooped her eggs onto a plate.
"We are going to start your training today." He said and Ria nodded. "Whats the schedule you have made?" She asked and Itachi took a seat across from her.
"You will have warmups from 8:00-8:15, strength and endurance from 8:15-10:30 with me.Kenjutsu with Kisame from 10:30-1:00, and lunch. From 1:45-3:45 you will have taijutsu, and 4:00-7:00 is ninjutsu, then dinner and whatever you want." Itachi said and Ria's mouth gaped.
"This is what ninja training by S class criminals looks like." Kurama snorted snapping Ria out of beat 'fish out of water' state. "Then what can I wear Itachi-San?" Ria asked the young Uchiha.
"Follow me." He said as he stood forcing Ria to leave her breakfast behind as she followed Itachi through the tower and into a room that had the headbands of every village, uniforms, civilian clothes, many black cloaks with red clouds, and weapons. Itachi walked over to the rack that held the cloaks and threw one at Ria. "You will wear this over your other gear. Take some time to figure out what feels right. We will start your training tomorrow." Itachi said as he left Ria in the room.
Ria decided that she would just pick everything up and see what felt right. She found she disliked senbon and shurikan but kunai felt good in her hand. Swords seemed to be her calling for a weapon. They weren't too heavy but not too light, had some range to them, and seemed to flow well with how Ria moved.
For clothes she decided on black thigh high stockings, black biker shorts, a loose fitting 3/4 white blouse, and black shoes over sandels. She tossed in her Akatsuki cloak and walked into the room where Itachi said he would be waiting and soon saw him with many others.
"Good choices Ria-chan." Itachi said as he looked over his new student. "Im glad you took to swords aswell." Kisame snickered. "Will make me get to work you into the ground that much more."
"She's cute un." A blonde with a ponytail said before he was slapped by a shirtless silver haired man. "Na, im calling fucking dibs on her pretty ass." He said.
"Deidara... Hidan... shut up." A buff guy with green eyes and a mask said as he withdrew some bills from his pocket and started counting.
"Lets go meat Leader Ria." Itachi said as Ria followed him out of the room and toward the elevator. "Who have i not met?" Ria asked as she looked up at Itachi. "You are about to meet Konan and Nagato, so only Zetsu and Tobi." He said. "Don't make Nagato mad, and refer to him as leader." Itachi said and Ria nodded and stepped inside the elevator.
Soon the two arrived at the top of the tower and stepped out to see a lounge that opened to a balcony where the whole of Ame could be seen. On the balcony Ria could see a man who had many piercings with orange hair, and a female with light blue hair and a paper rose in her hair.
"Is this the girl Itachi." The woman asked as she descended the steps until she was only a few feet away from Ria and Itachi. "Yes Lady Konan. This is Ria Namikaze. Vessel for the soul of the kyubi." Itachi said as Konan gave Ria a smile.
"As you can guess thanks to Itachi, my name is Konan, and up their is Pain. You will refer to him as leader. Understood." Konan said as Ria nodded. "Yes Konan-San." She said as Konan ruffled her hair. "Don't be like that. Itachi and Kakuzu are enough." She said. "You're dismissed Itachi." Konan said as Itachi left. "Pain, come meet her."
"After those words Pain descended from the balcony. "You may call me Pain or leader, do you understand?" He asked and Ria gave a firm nod of her head. "Yes leader." She responded getting a small smile from Pain.
"You learn fast. Thats good." Pain said before he turned away and stared at the rainy sky's of Ame. "You have use to us thanks to the pain Konoha made you feel... yet you fought and won by yourself... I'd like for you to train yourself to a high level and win the chunin exams that are scheduled to be in Konoha in two years from now." Pain said as Ria thought over what he said.
'I can go back and beat them, show them what they missed out on having... yeah I'd like that.' And a smile formed on Ria's face. "I understand the mission Leader-Sama." Ria said. "Good, now get to it." And with that Ria was off.
Timeskip 1 year
Ria had improved leaps and bounds now over a year of training with Itachi and Kisame. Her kenjutsu was still not as good as her teachers but that was only natural. According to Itachi ninjutsu and genjutsuwas definitely her calling.
Flashback
"Come here Ria." Itachi said as Ria walked over to where her sensei was standing. "Yes sensei?" Ria questioned as Itachi held out a piece of paper. "This is called chakra paper. By channeling chakra into the paper it can tell you your element." He said as his paper ripped into three parts, one much larger then the others. The large one burnt to a crisp, another soaked itself, and one split in two straight down the center. "As you can see I have fire as my main affinity which minor affinites for wind and water."
"So you want to know my elements so we can begin training?" Ria asked and Itachi nodded as he slipped a piece of paper into her hand and without being told she channeled chakra into the paper and it split directly down the center and both sides ignited and disintegrated. "That means wind and fire right?" Ria asked and Itachi nodded before he looked at where the paper should have been.
'Kekkei genkai perhaps?' Itachi thought to himself as he looked at his student. "We are going to see leader for a moment." Itachi said as he took Ria up the tower and into Pains office.
"Itachi." Pain said monotonously. "Leader-sama, id like you to see if Ria has a kekkei genkai." Itachi said as Pain gave him a confused look. "Take a look for yourself." As he handed Ria another piece of paper and she channeled chakra into it as the same thing that happened before happened again.
"I believe that is the scorch release." Pain said as another one of his paths jumped out from a wall. "Ria, shoot that chakra at my path." He said as Ria held her hand a few inches from the path and channeled her chakra as the path absorbed it. "That is most definitely scorch release. Looks like she has one more thing you can help teach thanks to your affinity of fire." Pain said as Itachi took Ria out of the room.
"Well your training just got harder." Was all Itachi said as the two went back to the training grounds.
Flashback end
After learning of Ria's kekkei genkai Itachi took her training went from a hundred to a hundred and fifty. Ria still couldnt really do taijutsu but her ninjutsu was easily equal to that of a low jonin and Itachi had started training her in genjutsu over the last year and she could only get better from here.
Thanks to her improvement Pain had decided to make an announcement to the group as they all met in the lounge.
"I thank you all for showing up for this very special occasion." Pain said as he was brought in via wheelchair by Konan.
"Greetings Leader." Was the universal greeting of all the members in the room. "Today we have our newest member officially joining our ranks." As a round of cheers and claps sounded and Itachi pushed aria foward as she stumbled into the the center of the circle that had formed. "Please kneel." Pain said to aria as she complied with the order.
"Do you swear to be loyal to the Akatsuki." Pain said and Ria nodded. "I do." "Do you swear to give your life and put aside your morals for our cause of creating true peace when we declare war on the world." And without hesitation Ria nodded again. "I do." She said
"Please rise." And Ria stood to her feet and Nagato held out his hand. Inside was a silver ring with a yellow center and the kanji for fox (狐) written in the center. "Now i present you your ring. You are now the fox of Akatsuki. You will partner with Itachi and Kisame for the time being." He said as the cheers erupted all around the room. "Now we celebrate the eleventh member of the Akatsuki!" Nagato yelled as his oaths brought in trays of food and pitchers of drinks.
To say the night was amazing was simply an understatement and Ria made sure to enjoy herself.
"Make sure you get some sleep tonight. Kisame and I leave to scout Iwa in a week and you still have more training to do." And with that Ria watched Itachi head to his room and she started to debate weather or not she was ready for bed but decided to stay up a little.
Over the next hour Ria learned what alcohol really did to a person and lets say she knew she was waiting a few years before she started drinking after hearing some of the more... disturbing... things Hidan had done over his life in combat and with women.
'When Obito acts like Tobi could definitely be a jester.' Ria thought as she watched the man toss on his orange spiral mask and start making jokes while doing a ton of random dance moves and before Ria could decid to end the night she fell asleep on the couch with the biggest smile her face could muster.
When everyone noticed her asleep Konan picked Ria up and took her into her room and layed her in bed. After observing the girl Konan pulled the comforter up the red heads body as she clutched it and went into a fetal position as soft breathes could be heard. "Good night Ria-chan." Konan said as she left the room.
