AN: This is my first time really writing something, so if you see any mistakes please let me know. Also, there will be crossovers, but I will not be doing Magnus chase, as I never read the series, though there might be some references to it.

I open my 'eyes' and look at my 'surroundings'. I use the Apostrophe because I'm pretty sure that I don't have eyes or a surrounding, as what I can see is just nothing in any direction I attempt to look at. I try turning around one last time, just in case I see something I missed before, which however unlikely it was, I saw something, and that something was BRIGHT. Looking back on this, I'm pretty sure that it was about as bright as a lightbulb, but compared to the infinite black void I was in, it felt like a supernova going off in front of my eyes.

Welcome, user! Please select a world to be reincarnated into!

As this floating box appears and my vision starts to turn back to normal, I think back through my memories, and realize that I can't remember any personal things about my life. I can remember facts and information, but I can't remember a single part of my life. Not even my name.

I start to panic, and if I was breathing, I would be hyperventilating. All of a sudden, a calm washed over me, and I knew that my past life didn't matter to me. I was in the here and now, not in the past and I'm pretty sure I died because people don't just end up here while alive, unless I'm missing some very crucial information, but at this point, anything could be possible.

Looking back over at the list, I saw there were many options for me to choose from;

MCU: DIFF 8

Lord of the Rings: DIFF 9

The Cosmere: DIFF 5-10*

Gravity Falls: DIFF 2

Pokémon: DIFF 2

Legend of Zelda: DIFF 3-8**

Elder Scrolls: DIFF 8-10**

Star Wars: DIFF 9

ECT…

* = depending on location

** = depending on time

Scrolling through the list, I saw that there were millions of options for me to choose from, some were books from Earth, while others I had never heard of before. There were some obscure ones that I have memories of reading, but not whether I liked the book or not, or where I read it.

At the bottom of the list, four options caught my eye.

Random world: DIFF 0-Infinity

Random Known World: 2-10

Random Unknown World: 0-Infinity

Home of the [REDACTED]: Requirements: Reach Level ?. DIFF -Infinity

The Redacted one was interesting because it was the only world that had a requirement and had a difficulty of negative infinity which was the only world in the negatives, but I couldn't see the level counter, but the fact that it has a requirement could mean I get to come back to this screen. I was also sure that the reason the random unknown world is 2-10 and not through infinity is that I only know books that have a difficulty of 10.

After looking around through my options, I decided on picking the random known worlds, because I couldn't decide on a world. In some worlds, the opportunity for power is almost limitless, but that comes with a lot of danger. So I picked the known worlds because I read a lot of fantasy and that means a high chance of a world with magic, and also so that I could predict an event before it could happen. I selected it and a giant wheel appeared. It seemed to go up for miles but was about 5 feet across. And when I looked at the side of the wheel, the far end of it was about what looked like 3 miles away. There was a small arrow pointing to the option it picked, which was on 'The Wheel of Time'. There was a screen next to me with a big glowing button that said: SPIN.

I mentally pressed the button and the giant wheel started spinning. It wasn't a slow build-up to speed, it was more like it was always spinning and just decided to show me now. It was doing multiple rotations a second which was impressive for its size. It eventually slowed down and ended up landing on PERCY JACKSON AND THE OLYMPIANS, which I thought was alright, I remember the books well enough, and some extra greek myths on the side so this was going to be easy I thought until I saw the difficulty rating next to it which was eight. That makes this a little harder than it needs to be.

As I was thinking, another screen came up.

Please pick a divine parent:

Looking through the list, I saw every single greek, Norse, Roman, and other gods from any pantheon you can think of. I even saw just God with a capital G on the list, but I didn't want to deal with any of that so I moved on. I decided to stay in the greek world for a while until I was strong enough to go out and do things without fear.

I continued scrolling through the list and saw some weird ones that I've never heard of, like Koalemos the god of stupidity or, Pyrrhichos the god of the rustic dance, whatever that means.

Eventually, I saw that I had moved on from the massive list of gods and goddesses and started to see titans. I was considering picking Kronos as my parent but decided that if I did that, Zeus would smite me down instantly, so I skipped the titans.

Close to the bottom, were primordials, which I did not realize were options. That means things got a lot more interesting. If I pick a primordial as my parent, I could gain a lot of knowledge and skill in one general area, like if I picked Erebus, then my control over shadows and darkness would be massive, but that would be limiting my growth in other areas.

I continued looking through this list until I hit the bottom, which said Chaos on it. That caught my attention, as in the myths, chaos is said to be the void that everything else came from. So if I picked that, one of three things would happen. One is that I get some abilities related to the void which would be cool but would still have the same problem as if I picked any other divine parent. Number 2 is I get a lot of power in one random element, which has the same problem as before. Or number 3, which would mean I could get access to every different kind of ability and magic, which is the option I would be hoping for as it would allow me to become skilled in all forms of magic, and not just be stuck using one.

Not seeing any other option, I mentally selected Chaos and got a prompt:

Are you sure you want to pick Chaos as your parent? This will come with the added effects of:

Base Demi(god?) scent will be increased by 273% of a child of Zeus.

Access to the Chaos System and all of the benefits of the Chaos System.

Looking over the effects I decided that it looked good, even if it came with a large increase in my scent, so I said yes.

Chaos selected as divine parent!

Done!

You now have the Chaos system. This can be used to get upgrades and new abilities.

You must pick 3 boons:

1. Way of the Mind - You will gain twice the mana for every INT stat compared to a regular demigod. (Base +10)

2. Way of Strength - When attacking, you will have a 3x strength boost.

3. Way of Movement - You will gain twice the speed you would normally get from increasing your agility.

4. Way of Luck - Lucky things, such as better loot or more critical strikes will happen more often

I was not aware that I would get any boons, much less three! Looking over the options, I ruled out the Way of Luck, as I didn't want to base my setup on random chance. I wanted the Way of Movement, as just going fast is fun, and it would help me in dodging attacks.. So I picked that one first.

As I had ruled out luck, I picked Way of the Mind and Strength.

Validating choices…

You have 1 ability point and 12 stat points to use.

In most games, ability points are good because it gives access to really powerful boosts for your character, while stat points are still good, they only boost a stat. I decided to use the ability points, then select the stats I want to increase based on that. I thought about using my ability points and a screen came up.

As our version of abilities is different than most, we thought it would be best to give you a tutorial.

Who is 'we', I thought.

That is not important until much later.

I thought that was strange, but I let it go for now, and wanted to get on with the tutorial.

To start, your abilities don't have any sort of skill tree. Instead, when you want to use one, we will randomly select 3 different Greek deities for you to choose from. You can select 1, but there are 1 time-use items you can use to increase that, and other items enable other pantheons that can be obtained.

You can pick every god up to 3 times. The first will give you their blessing. The second will have you become their heir. And the 3rd will have you take full control of their domains. The deity can not remove any of these. You can still receive blessings normally. Once you have picked a god 3 times, they will be removed from the list.

Sounds simple enough. I once again mentally thought about using an ability point, and another screen came up showing my options:

Option 1: Eris

Eris is the goddess of discord, strife, contention, and rivalry.

Getting a blessing from Eris will give you: [Rivalry Sense]

[Rivalry Sense]: This allows you to use your aura to sense who the person you targeted hates, and if possible, can expand this hate to the point that this person will try to do anything to kill them.

Option 2: Atë

Atë is the god of delusion, infatuation, blind folly, recklessness, and ruin.

Getting a blessing from Atë will give you: The [Reckless] ability

[Reckless]: When you use this ability on an enemy, their strength will increase by 25%, but they will make more errors in combat.

Option 3: Panacea

Panacea is the goddess of healing

Getting a blessing from Panacea will give you: An additional +5 Hp regen per END point.

Looking over all of the options I thought that panacea's blessing would be the best, because the first one was not that useful, and the 2nd one is just more likely to get me killed than anything. Before I picked anything, I asked the system what an aura was, and I got this:

An aura is something that all living beings have, and even some that aren't living, such as Talos. The aura is a manifestation of the soul on physical reality. This can have effects on others if you have an ability that causes it. If any ability is aura related, upon selection you will receive the skills [Aura manipulation] and [Aura Sense].

That was interesting. The books never talked about anything like that… wait no, they did. Near the end of the 5th book, someone told Percy that they would get incinerated by being in the presence of a titan. That might of been a reference to auras. I tried mentally clicking on the two skills, but nothing showed up. I decided to tuck that away for later use.

I clicked on Panacea and it was accepted. Then this message came up:

Have fun.

Somehow those 2 words seemed sinister, but before I could comment on it, I blacked out, if that was even a thing here.

A.N

For this story, I am actually basing many things that happen off of random chance, such as loot, the gods he gets from his ability points, and a few other things. His luck stat will actually affect how this story goes, if it's higher I will make the random chance rolls better in his favor. The reason I'm doing this is that a lot of the gamer stories I have read just make luck a thing that is kinda just there. I want it to have a real effect. Also on my list of gods and goddesses, I have every single one I could find, most of which are not in the books. You don't really need to know anything about them, as I will provide their domains, like in the one above.
