I woke up in a hospital bed, in the arms of someone who I assumed to be my new mother. That was strange to me, but after I thought about it, I guess the most powerful being in this universe does not need to have one gender. I saw my mother trying to talk to me, but I ignored it as she would tell me nothing important right now, as to her I was a baby that was just born with no mental capacity for thinking logically. As she was talking I pulled up my Character sheet.

Skills:

I had a very mixed set of stats. I assumed that my INT, WIS, and LUC stayed the same because I only changed my physical body, not my mind. What caught my eye was my race and the secondary stats. I'm not sure what a shard of the cosmos is. It could be what half-human children of Chaos are, or something else entirely. I tried asking the system about it, but it didn't respond. The Secondary stats make sense because of something like creativity. How would you base that on the Primary stats?

I saw that I had 12 stat points to use. I'm not sure why 12 but I will go with it. I decided to hold on to the stat points, because getting them early on is easier than later, and I can use them in an emergency.

I saw one of the nurses come toward me and as she picked me up, I fell asleep.

*TIMESKIP 5 years*

I have grown over the last few years, as most of my physical stats have increased to 4, except my endurance, which has grown to 6. I'm not sure why my END is so high compared to everything else, but I think it has to do with me being a Shard of the Universe, whatever that is.

Anyway I woke up on my 5th birthday to this message:

These were all good options, though I didn't like the note at the end of the third one. Before I made my decision, I had to ask the system a few questions.

"System, what can I get from a loot box?" I ask. The hardest part of my life so far has been dyslexia and ADHD. My dyslexia isn't as bad as Percy described in the books, but it was still there. Anyway, this is what the system said:

Loot boxes can hold any item from across the omniverse as long as it holds some value there, so a rock can't be chosen, but a rock that isn't affected by gravity can, and stuff like that. Items can only be from universes that you know. (Note: Some items will be scaled to your level, so you can't just go around getting an infinity stone and destroy your enemy with a light movement)

"And could you also describe what a boon is?"

A Boon can be any sort of modifier to you. A Boon can be something like a +3% Cooking experience, to something like all vampires around you gain 300% stats. Almost anything is possible with boons. The trick is finding the right one.

Those could be useful, but I was thinking about either the loot boxes or the ability points. The loot boxes could be nice because I could get a real weapon, other than Riptide. Oh yeah! I forgot to mention that I was Percy Jackson in this world. My mother somehow ended up having a child with Chaos, and not Poseidon. There has been no sign of Gabe yet, but I think we will start living here when I'm 8, and I'm not planning to put up with any of his shit.

Anyway, I think I'm going to pick the loot boxes.

As the system said this, and I kid you not, an item box from Mario Kart came up and was rolling through images too fast for me to see them, though at one point there was a flash of pure light, that flooded the room, blinding me for a moment.

The box disappeared and in its place was a pink sword. And I mean PINK. The entire sword was pink except for the location where the guard, hilt, and blade meet. In that spot was a yellow star that I think gave it its name.

The sword was floating in the air for a few seconds, and I was sitting at the edge of my bed at this point, so when gravity took over, the sword fell to the carpet with a dull thump, the sharp edge of the sword cutting into the carpet ever so slightly. This of course got the attention of my mom, who was cooking some sticky buns for my birthday, and now she was coming around the counter to check on me.

I quickly grabbed the sword and put it in my inventory, which I discovered I had about a year into my new life. I quickly moved to the place where my sword was and made it seem like I got out of bed loudly today. I made myself look excited as it's my birthday. I didn't have to try hard to look happy, as the free item thing I got for surviving 5 years, would be enough to make anybody smile.

Sally Jackson came in, saw me smiling, then she smiled herself and said, "Come on Percy, food is ready".

*Line break, Later that day*

I finally got some alone time after I opened presents from my mother, which turned out to be some toys and a children's book that I couldn't even read and my mother had to do it for me. When I did try to read it I got this notification:

I thought the 70% was a bit high but moving on, I opened the 2nd box, and like before the Mario Kart box appeared and moved through a bunch of images. I kept my eyes nearly shut just incase if something like that bright light came on again, but it didn't.

Not knowing what it is, I opened my inventory… and nearly died of shock. This was Thanos' ship. I have the full thing just sitting in my inventory. Some items in the inventory have a little 3-dot icon, meaning they can be used in some way while in the inventory. Take food as an example. You could 'consume' the food, gaining some HP, SP, MP, or other effects while it's in the inventory. So when I saw the same 3-dots, I immediately pressed the button and 3 options came up.

I was about to press the visit button with no 2nd thoughts, but then I saw that the ship had an option to travel the Astral. Not knowing what the astral was, I asked the system.

That was disappointing, but not thinking much of it I decided to enter the ship.

A/N: That's the end of the chapter here. As I said before, a lot of the story is truly random, and I spent a good chunk of yesterday and today making a list of stuff Percy here could get from a loot box. So imagine my surprise when it rolled Thanos' ship, which had one of the lowest chances. So now I need to incorporate that into the story. Also to anybody who read the original chapter 1, I removed the Way of Dodging as someone gave me a few good reasons for them to pick the Way of Movement over it, and then that got me thinking, and so I just decided to remove it.
