"Take me out tonight
Where there's music and there's people
And they're young and alive
Driving in your car
I never, never want to go home
Because I haven't got one
Anymore"
Alexander was like your typical sixteen year old teenager cruising during the night; who was sitting in the passenger side along with his best friend Quinn as the driver with no sense of direction. Only the stereo playing The Smiths.
"Can you change it Quinn?"
Alex was looking at Quinn only for her to glance at him.
" I like them, Al. Besides this song reminds me of you."
She prettily smiled at him. Alex felt good to know she did care for him.
"Thanks. I just think this song is a bit morbid that's all."
"Probably. That's the beauty of it that life isn't always beautiful but you got to make the best of it everyday."
That's what he always liked about his friend Quinn but he be kidding himself that he doesn't see her beyond the friendship status.
"Quinn?"
" Yes, Al?" She glances at him but kept her eyes on the road.
" Can you stop the car."
"No can do."
"Please Quinn."
"Just say it, Al."
"I got a confession to make and I hope what I say doesn't change our friendship.
"Okay, say it." She dubiously says.
" I love you more than friends."
"What!" She immediately slammed the brakes and turned to him.
"You don't have to say anything but I'm putting myself out there for you to know. I really love you Quinn Fontana."
Instead of saying anything to Alex, Quinn unbuckles her seatbelt for her to lunge towards him only to kiss him.
" I love you too silly."
He had a grin on his face but just seeing Quinn's royal azure blue eyes were sparkling like diamonds.
"I take this means you like me too."
Quinn nods.
"Let me take you on date right now?"
"Okay." She says, as she buckled up her seatbelt on.
It was too late for the recent couple to drive away for they saw a double - decker bus ram into them.
"And if a double-decker bus
Crashes into us
To die by your side
Is such a heavenly way to die
And if a ten ton truck
Kills the both of us
To die by your side
Well, the pleasure, the privilege is mine"
"Quinn?" He rasped out.
She didn't move for he tried to get to her but he was stuck.
"Quinn"
The song kept on replaying over and over.
It seems forever to Alex. He saw the paramedics and the firefighters.
One of them came to get him out but he shook his head for he was more worried over Quinn.
"Save her first."
Alex was no fool for he can see the blood coming out of his lips.
Oh, there is a light and it never goes out
There is a light and it never goes out
There is a light and it never goes out
There is a light and it never goes out
There is a light and it never goes out
There is a light and it never goes out
There is a light and it never goes out
There is a light and it never goes out
"She's alive. Gently place her on the gurney." An unknown male paramedic spoke.
Alex saw they were taking her away from his reach at least she won't see him this way.
Alex was happy knowing that Quinn was alive barely but unlike him he won't make it to the hospital.
