Summary: The Labyrinth of the Ancients falls to Rhea and her team but before they proceed further into the Crystal Tower, precautions must be taken.

The Labyrinth proved to be everything and more that Rhea had hoped for. Leading the first to step foot into the space in ages brought forth a rush she could scarcely describe. The defenses within were, indeed, formidable but like primals and Garleans alike, they too fell to her arcane mastery and the skills of those she brought with her.

When at last the final defender had been defeated, a 'champion of eld' as G'raha described him, the rest of their expeditionary group joined her. Through the gateway ahead, the base of the Crystal Tower itself shone through. They were close, very close. Still, it would not do to blindly begin traipsing through without taking the cautionary steps they had thus far.

Returning to Saint Coinach's Find, Rhea's team settled in for some much needed rest while she attended NOAH to help plan the next leg of their excavations. As expected, everyone had come to the same conclusion: the Tower had not only been unearthed but, somehow, awakened. If what they'd experienced was any indication, it was clear that a power lay within the tower that needed to be contained and put to rest once more. In short, no one could be granted access to what the Tower, by all historical accounts, could do or the limitless energies it contained.

With all in agreement, a new plan was put into motion: to deactivate and seal the tower, lest it truly fall into the wrong hands. However this would take some time and work on Cid's part to investigate as much as he could with what had already been cleared. Unfortunately, that left Rhea quite at odds, along with G'raha - though for entirely different reasons. It was almost adorable, and wholly amusing, the way he pouted like a kit who got his toy taken away. He wanted to go off and train, an endeavor Rhea supported, so that he could better handle himself and traverse the tower. Rammbroes, however, told him that his expertise was too invaluable and that he needed to remain to aid Cid in his investigations and planning.

So it was, sulking as he did, G'raha gave in - not without a grumpy comment, however - and stayed with the team. Rhea, however, was not looking forward to the time it would take them to devise their plans and she began to wonder what she would do with her time. She had experience with the excavations themselves, as well as defeating defenses, but when it came to the technical side of things, she was practically useless. Her father was the one, after all, who had the passion between the two of them for the ancient Allagans.

Thankfully, a timely linkshell call from Tataru cleared up her near future plans quite rapidly. No rest for the wicked, it would seem, for a primal had been called forth in the Shroud and who else should Gridania call upon but the Scions of the Seventh Dawn and their very own primal slayer.

Bidding farewell to her friends, she departed but she knew as she looked up at the crystalline structure that she would be back. Soon she would step foot into its glimmering halls and would learn its secrets enough so that none could take advantage of this monumental legacy of the Allagan Empire.
