Cabe stopped after they dropped Paige Murphy back at her house at a taco restaurant he loved. It was a nice day and Paige decided to just sit in the SUV.

Cabe placed a takeout order for them and made sure to get Allie vegan tacos. Cabe walked into the restroom since he had to wait and pulled his phone out. He entered a password and the phone's interface switched to an encrypted Homeland screen. Cabe pulled up a contact and hit the dial icon.

"Cabe, what's up?" Nick asked as he answered.

"Hey Nick, I don't have a lot of time. I need to get something off of my chest. It just reminds me of all the favors we always did for each other." Cabe told him.

"Brother, for you, I'll always listen." Nick smiled.

Cabe gave him the information about Clyde and Tim then told him what happened.

Nick swore.

"I understand Cabe. Someone like that makes you just want to break a head or two." Nick told him.

"It sure does brother. Too bad we can't do that. Thanks for letting me blow off steam about it." Cabe told him.

"Anytime brother. I can't wait to tell Simone, she'll go ballistic." Nick laughed.

"That's a pretty big word for you Nick, have you been reading the dictionary?" Cabe joked with him.

"Whatever grandpa." Nick laughed. With only four years between them they loved to tease each other.

Paige and Cabe walked into Walter's room nearly seven hours after they had left and found Walter alone and working on his laptop.

"Walter." Paige said with a grin while quickly moving across the floor.

Walter barely had time to smile before she was there next to the bed and kissing him.

"Well you certainly seem happier." Walter smiled as she broke the kiss. "Everything go okay then?"

"It went surprisingly well. But I need to use the restroom first." Paige smiled. She handed him her phone before she left them alone.

"The guys go back to CP's offices?" Cabe asked as he sat in a chair next to the bed.

"Yes, Happy has that job she needs to be working on and Sylvester went with them because he didn't have his work laptop to work on a programming job he has. Mmm you went to Tacos La Güera." Walter noticed the bags he was holding. He hooked the phone up to his laptop and transferred a video from it to the laptop and then put it on Paige Murphy's website to be used later.

Cabe grinned as he held up the sacks.

"Well I had my doubts but I have to agree with you and Paige, neither the other Paige or Ginger seemed to know what was going on. As law enforcement I still have my doubts, but I'm comfortable enough with your decision. Paige said she isn't interested in pressing charges against Tim or Clyde. Are you going to be okay with that?" Cabe asked.

"Do I have a choice?" Walter smiled. "But yes, for the most part I am okay with it." Walter nodded.

"And you're sure that at 6 pm this will all be switched?" Cabe asked.

Walter nodded as he looked at the tracker on his laptop.

"The worm is almost two hours ahead of the projected schedule. More people than I thought have left their systems online so it isn't taking as long, no waiting for them to log back into their networks. I'm thinking of trying to write code to analyze how this originally propagated. It might be interesting to understand in case we ever have a need to disseminate something and we're required to give a timeline on how long it will take." Walter told him.

"You lost me, but if you say it is interesting and needed then that is good enough for me." Cabe laughed.

Walter smiled at him.

"So how did things go with Happy?" Paige asked as she came out of the restroom.

"Really well actually. Toby decided to hypnotize her here and we learned how upset she still is with her Dad. She might have forgiven what he did on the surface but down deep underneath it she is still so mad. And even though she was wanting to try and make things right between us she was still angry over how everything happened. So when I compared her to what her Dad did it was a domino effect." Walter told her as she sat next to Cabe.

"Cabe said everything went well with Paige and Ginger." Walter smiled.

Paige nodded and began explaining what happened.

"And the best part of it. If you are agreeable, I'd like to become a full investment partner with you in Scorpion." Paige told him.

"You'll always be my partner." Walter smiled.

Cabe laughed even as Paige shook her head.

"You don't understand. I want to invest money into Scorpion, giving us the capital to hire employees." Paige smiled.

Walter frowned for about a half second and then he nodded.

"Ginger paid you off?" Walter asked.

"No, not a pay off. She said I was free to go to the DA and file charges, she just didn't want to be dragged into anything. And she was sure if I sued Tim and Clyde civilly that I'd win and my attorney would probably drag her into it. So she wrote Paige and I a check. Paige can now get her masters and I can help rebuild what I helped to hurt." Paige told him before she pulled the check out and gave it to him. "I think she meant some of it was for you but she didn't say how much, we'll have to figure that out together."

Walter smiled as he shook his head.

"Actually I think what she might have been more concerned with is Richard. She knows how much he values me. She wouldn't want to alienate him. By doing this it separates her from them even more and he won't be angry. And I might have been angered by what they did, but it was you and Ralph who have been harmed. I helped to fix this because I love you, not for money. But I will gladly accept you as my investment partner if you are sure that is what you want." Walter told her as he handed the check back to her.

"What's mine is yours." Paige smiled.

"Are we getting back to the proposal thing?" Walter grinned.

"What? You proposed?" Cabe said excitedly.

Paige and Walter laughed as they both shook their heads. Paige quickly told the story from when she talked with Walter before anyone showed up.

Ralph and Allie entered the room just minutes after Paige finished the story.

"Yes, tacos!" Ralph grinned as everyone laughed.

The small family sat down and enjoyed their dinner. They all looked to Walter's laptop as it began beeping. Walter brushed off his hands and pulled the laptop down to look at.

"The worm is reporting 100% complete restoration." Walter told them before he triggered the software change that pulled up the new webpage on every computer connected to it or any computer that comes to visit in the future.

Paige Murphy had made a short video with Paige's phone which Walter had uploaded. She explained how the webmaster who had control of the website had played her and tricked everyone who had come to enjoy her content. She explained that the images and videos had now been replaced with the proper images and videos. She apologized that this happened but promised them she had no knowledge of it. She told them she was taking a break so she could reevaluate how she was used and if she wanted to resume her shows. She then promised she would come back in a month to leave another video to explain her decision and what if any schedule she planned to resume. She promised that anyone who had made payments for that month would get a reverse charge to their cards within 10 business days.

Tim pulled up to the gate house outside of the estates he lived in with Ginger.

"Hey Mark." Tim waved at him.

"Hey Tim. How's it going?" Mark asked.

"Pretty good day so far. How about you?" Tim asked.

"Well, except for this, it has been a pretty good day." Mark told him.

"Except for what?" Tim frowned.

"Yeah. About that. I'm sorry Tim, Ms LeBeau has issued an order with management. You aren't allowed past the gate. You'll need to turn around and leave." Mark told him.

"What? That has to be a mistake. Call her." Tim told him.

"Sorry, management said we can't call her on your behalf." Mark told him and gestured for him to turn around.

Tim swore but checked his mirrors and backed up. He swung the car out of the entrance and pulled up along the curb to park. He got his phone out and called Ginger's phone but he heard it click twice.

"LeBeau residence." Debra said as she answered the phone.

"Debra, let me speak to Ginger." Tim said angrily.

"I'm sorry Mr Armstrong. Ms LeBeau said she wasn't taking your phone calls. She had all your things delivered to a storage unit. You can go there and make arrangements before the end of the month." Debra told him.

"This isn't acceptable Debra. Put her on the phone." Tim demanded.

"She knows what you did with Clyde and Paige. If you persist in trying to contact her, you'll hear from her attorney." Debra said and hung up after giving him the address of the storage unit.

Tim sighed as he wondered how she found out. After looking at his watch Tim put the car in gear and headed for Clyde's work.

Tim had to wait until Clyde got off work before they could talk and Clyde assured him he had no idea how Ginger found out. Clyde offered him a spare bedroom until he found a place to stay so Tim followed him home.

"We'll have to call Paige and find out if she knows." Clyde told Tim as they walked into his home.

"She knows." A deep male voice said as the door of the house shut.

"Who's there?" Tim and Clyde said together as they moved towards the front room.

"Draw that gun Mr Armstrong and your brains will be all over the place." A strong female voice told him as an audible click was heard.

Tim's hand froze as it had started to go under his jacket. He knew that sound, the safety was released on a 9 mm handgun.

"Well, you seem to have us at a disadvantage." Tim said exploratorially.

"And that's the way it is going to stay." A higher but still baritone male voice said as they stepped on into the front room.

They saw a man much older than themselves sitting on a sofa and a man about ten years older than themselves not far away from him. The younger man pointed to the center of the room and Tim and Clyde walked on out.

They saw a woman come out of the doorway after them with her gun trained on them.

"Are you always so tough when you have a gun on someone?" Tim smarted off.

The older man on the couch laughed.

"Boy, even if you were ten years younger and without that shrapnel in your back she'd kick your miserable arse." The older man told him as he stood up.

"Right." Tim sneered.

The woman holstered her gun with shocking speed and then closed the distance between them. Her fist flashed out and cracked Tim hard across the chin.

Clyde's eyes went wide and he moved away from them but not too far as the other man's gun was still on him.

Tim swung a bit too wildly and the woman ducked and came up and clocked him with an uppercut. Tim's head whipped back and he fell to the floor.

"That's enough, I think you educated him enough for now." The older man grinned. "Now we're going to play a game of a few questions and you are going to answer them. Play it straight, answer them honestly and you get to live another day. For each lie you'll both receive a bullet wound. Unlike baseball you'll get four strikes. That's one bullet in each limb. The fifth will be in your other extremity." The old man told Clyde.

"Ask, I'll answer you truthfully." Clyde said while shaking. Tim just lay there trying to recover.

"Good boy. We know the two of you are the so-called brains behind this little charade, but what about Ginger LeBeau and Paige Murphy?" The older man asked.

"Both are innocent and we never told them about what we were doing." Clyde answered quickly.

"Good boy. Do you know the woman you perpetrated this on?" The man asked.

"I just know her as an ex of Tim's." Clyde said as he shook his head.

"Where are all the backups of what you have done?" The man asked.

"Only on my computer I swear." Clyde told him.

"What about Florence Tipton?" The old man asked.

"She knew what we wanted it for, she didn't care. At first she just wanted money to pay a hospital bill. About three weeks ago she had contacted Tim wanting to know when it would happen. Something about wanting Walter and Paige to break up. But Tim blew her off." Clyde explained.

"Good boy. Now we come to the part about what you are going to do." The man told him.

"Whatever you want." Clyde told him.

"All the money you've made from this woman with her website, you are going to transfer that to her account. Even if you need to take out a loan. You are then going to completely wipe your hard drive. If you ever do something like this again, our next visit won't be as polite as this one. Don't touch her website, it will be dealt with. And it is my guess you might expect a class action lawsuit against you by the people you duped into paying for the content." The older man said as the three of them started to leave.

"Uh, sir, did you forget?" The younger man asked.

The older man snapped his fingers.

"I almost did, thanks for reminding me." The older man told him and walked back out to where Clyde stood. "The Father of the young lady whose face you put on those images wanted me to give you something." The older man slugged Clyde hard in the gut.

Clyde doubled over groaning and nearly puked as he gasped for breath. He felt his hair pulled hard, up into a bunch and then an irresistible pull and he had to stand halfway upright. His face was red and he was panting and groaning as he looked at the older man.

"You took that pretty good. If you ever, ever do something against this young lady or her family." The older man grinned at him and then his leather gloved fist crashed into the side of his head.

Clyde fell like a tree cut in half.

The older man stepped over and grabbed Tim by the hair as he laid there.

"As a service man you should have known better." The old man told him before his fist slammed into the side of Tim's head.

The older man nodded at the woman and she pulled a small device out of her pocket and clicked a button. An electro-magnetic pulse flashed out and every electronic device, magnetic strip, everything susceptible to electro-magnetic force within five hundred feet was rendered useless.

The trio walked out of the house and were walking down the sidewalk when the neighbors on both sides of the house came out looking around wondering what happened.

The younger man looked up at the closest house.

"Hey, do you know the time? My watch isn't working." The younger man asked.

"I think it is just past five. Something happened, my computer just stopped working." The man said as they all looked around.

"Weird, oh man, I hope my car is okay." The younger man said. They walked six houses down and got in the car and left.

Greetings! I hope this finds you all well! For those new to my stories Nick, Simone and Rusty are OCs of mine from Cabe's Marine days. Rusty(the older man) was their commanding officer. They appear in my stories from time to time.

Lucy - Right? Kind of worried me at first. Was this something along the lines you were looking for? hehe

2LawDog - Like Tim, when they first introduced Florence, I thought the character was interesting but then they had to use her as a foil. *sigh* For Clyde, mostly greed and the sense he was getting away with something. Tim was pure revenge...and Florence, well...now we know. Yep, Ginger has a pretty good head for business, some of that came at great cost. Yeah, she's fairly jaded on "romantic love".

Railman - She didn't necessarily want that with Tim, but she's fairly pragmatic and figures if things stay within a certain boundary she'd be okay with them. But like most people, give them an inch...they'll take a mile. Walter's insight might also account for how mellow she was, at least with Cabe and the Paiges.

JerBr23 - She was paid indeed! lol

LouBe - hehe Well not a big twist this time...just her not being completely honest perhaps as to why she's being so mellow and generous? Unedited is a fine word or maybe raw or original? Well 2 of the trio have certainly experienced some consequences and we did get to see it...but what of Florence? Well of course the stooges are still the stooges so...lol Definitely feeling cooped up. Would feel as bad if the tech would just hurry up and call to schedule a trip out. *sigh*

RiseofDespair - Well there are only 2 more chapters so, 4 more days? hehe Hopefully there will be another story in the near future to finish up the loose ends.

MareeAnne - Plots should be thick like peanut butter! lol So glad you are!

Margaret - Glad to see you back! Glad you liked the 2 chapters! Thank you, it is frustrating being stuck in the same 3 rooms. lol

Susan - hehe Like peanut butter it did! lol I'll gladly leave all the computer stuff to Walter and Ralph! lol Where is Florence?

Marie Mac - Oh, I remember you talking about that when I mentioned someone had taken the first 27 chapters of Secrets. There are some amazing things in the past for sure. Anderson Cooper recently found out his great grandfather, might have been an uncle, I'm hazy at the moment, and not sure if 1 great or more, had been a rich southern farmer and owned 12 slaves. He was pretty appalled by it. And then he was shocked, amazed and rather happy that 1 of the slaves had actually beaten this ancestor to death. Of course the slave was immediately hung without a trial. And yes, the truth will always be stranger than fiction, no doubt!

To the Adventure! -Tim
