Down the hall, Belle and Madison walked down along with Cogsworth, Lumiere, and the Sultan. The clock was lecturing as he was showing Belle and Petite around as they came to a hall where the Suits of Armor stand at each side of the wall. Madison looked back to see the helmets moved as they were staring at her and Belle.
"As you can see, the pseudo facade was stripped away to reveal a minimalist rococo design. Note the unusual inverted vaulted ceilings. This is yet another example of the neo-classic baroque period, and as I always say, if it's not baroque, don't fix it! Ha ha ha. Now then, where was I?" Cogsworth lectured but as he turned his head, he saw the helmets of the Suits of Armor watching Belle and Madison.
"As you were!" he spoke and armor quickly snapped back to face forward, "Now then, if I may draw your attention to the flying buttresses above the... mademoiselles?"
Madison stood her ground as she knew this part. The West Wing. She saw Belle going up the stairs until she heard barking. Madison turned to see Lumiere, Cogsworth, and Sultan quickly ran up to them and jump in front of Belle's path.
"What's up there?" Belle asked as she was looking up.
"Where? Up there? Nothing. Absolutely nothing of interest at all in the West Wing. Dusty, dull, very boring." said Cogsworth until Lumiere shakes his head but Cogsworth nudges him to nod in agreement.
"Oh, so that's the West Wing." said Belle as she was interested.
"Nice going." said Lumiere as he glares at Cogsworth.
Madison stood close to Belle, feeling nervous about the Beast's warning.
"I wonder what he's hiding up there." Belle wondered with curiosity.
"Hiding? The master is hiding nothing." said Lumiere.
"Then it wouldn't be forbidden." she said as she steps over them, but they dash up and block her again.
"Belle, I really think you should listen." Madison tried to warn but she wouldn't listen.
"Perhaps mademoiselle would like to see something else. We have exquisite tapestries dating all the way back to…" Cogsworth said as he tries to stop Belle.
"Maybe later." she said as she steps over them again, but the candelabrum and the clock blocked her again.
"Uh, the-the gardens, the art room, or-or the-the library, perhaps?" Lumiere spoke.
"You have a library?" said Belle as she looked interested.
"And an art room?" Madison spoke with excitement.
Cogsworth looked thrill that he has found something to interest them. "Oh yes! Indeed!"
"With books!"
"Gads of books!"
"Mountains of books!"
"Cascades..."
"…of books!"
"Swamps of books!"
"More books than you'll ever be able to read in a lifetime! Books on every subject ever studied, by every author who ever set pen to paper..."
"And as for the art room, there are canvases, paint, pastels..."
Both Cogsworth and Lumiere kept on talking as they walked off to show Belle and Madison the rooms. Madison was about to follow them but turned her head to see Belle going up the steps.
"Belle, wait! Remember the Beast's warning? We can't go to the West Wing, it's forbidden." said Madison as she grabbed Belle's hand in worry.
"I'm just curious Madison. I just wanted a quick look."
"I'm not so sure this is a good idea." she said but saw Belle going up. "Oh, wait up." she groaned and quickly follow her.
The two came to a hallway, seeing broken statues and broken vases. They stopped to look in a mirror that has been shattered into several pieces, each one reflecting their concerned and worried looks. They reached to the end of the hall and found a closed door with gargoyle handles. Madison was shaking and back away a little.
"Aren't you coming?" Belle asked but Madison shook her head.
"I'm not going in there. I'm staying right here. Call me coward if you want but I am not going in there!" she whispered and turn away.
Belle shrugged her shoulders and look at the doors. She took a deep breath and open the doors.
Madison turned her head to see Belle entered the room. Her heart was pounding but took a step close and peeked through the doors. Seeing Belle looking around until she spotted a glow. She watched Belle turned to see a glowing rose in a jar by a small table near the balcony. Madison's heart was racing as she saw Belle lifted the jar off and was about to touch it. Until a shadow covered her.
"Belle, watch out!" Madison screamed through the doors and Belle gasped.
It was the Beast as he was in the balcony, looking at Belle and growled. The Beast jumps into the room, then slams the jar back on the rose. He then turns his attention to Belle as the girl move back away.
"Why did you come here?" he growled.
"I'm... I'm sorry."
"I warned you never to come here!"
"I didn't mean any harm."
"Do you realize what you could have done?!" the Beast growled in anger and thrashed a furniture.
"Please stop!" Belle begged.
"Get out! Get out!" he roared.
Madison stepped back as she was Belle coming towards the door and open.
"Come on, Belle!" Madison quickly grabbed her hand and the two ran off.
They reached to the stairways as the girls grabbed their cloaks and wrapped around them. They rush down the stairs and bursting past Lumiere and Cogsworth.
"Wh- Where are you two going?!" Lumiere asked.
"Promise or no promise, we can't stay here another minute!" said Belle as she opened the door.
The wind was blowing hard, and Madison tried to stay warm from her cloak. The girls looked at each other and exit the room, hearing Cogsworth's words for not them to leave. They quickly reached to Pierre who was standing, quickly got on his back, and rode off.
