Just as they were about to leave, they hear a roar, a blue wave washing over them. To Ash and Goh, it was a familiar roar.
"That's-" Goh gasps as the water churns.
A twister of water rose up before Lugia flashily appears, wings flapping a few times.
Gary and Horace stare in awe.
However, Lugia looked pretty tired.
Ash steps forward, "Guys... Let me handle this."
"Ash?/Ashy?" Goh and Gary blink as they see Ash's eyes flicker blue.
"Don't record this. It's a private matter, and I don't want Lugia to have to erase your memories of this."
Horace sheepishly puts down his rotom-phone.
Walking up to the Legendary, Ash smiles, "Long time no see, Lugia."
"Yes...it's been a long time, Chosen One," Lugia answers.
"!" the others are just surprised to hear a Legendary Pokemon talk. And what's this about the Chosen One?!
"What are you doing here? I thought you were in Shamouti or the Whirl Islands."
"I wanted to give you a gift."
"Gift?" Ash tilts his head.
"A Silver Wing and a miniaturized Tidal Bell so that you may summon me should you need me. I'll even drag my kids along."
"...By "kids" you mean Moltres, Aritcuno, and Zapdos?"
Ash only gets a nod, and he sighs.
Then Ash takes off his backpack and gets something out, "Let me heal you first."
He takes out an Ocarina and starts playing a song. Lugia's song to be exact.
As the song is played, Lugia's body is steadily covered in a blue aura before it bursts, leaving Lugia fully healed as the song ended.
Pikachu put away the Ocarina as Lugia gave Ash his gifts.
Lugia softly headbutted Ash, the aura between them giving off tiny blue sparks.
"That's aura, isn't it..." Gary mutters under his breath.
"Hopefully, my brother remembers to drop a Rainbow Wing for you next time."
"Pfftt... Yeah! I hope so too!" Ash laughs. The only reason Ho-Oh didn't drop a feather for him was just because he forgot!
"'Til we meet again."
"'Til we meet again," Ash smiles as Lugia goes back into the water, and dives deep, disappearing into the depths.
On the way back to land, Gary grabs Ash's rotom-phone and puts his number in before shoving it into Ash's hands.
"Call me. Or text," Gary glares, growling, "We have a lot to talk about, Ashy-boy."
Ash gulps, saluting as he doesn't want to deal with an angry Gary, "Yes sir!"
"Good..." Gary nods.
"Ash~, why didn't you tell me you had aura powers like Lucario?" Goh whines.
"Would you actually believe me if I told you?" Ash counter back, his face completely serious.
"Uh..." Goh sweat-drops.
"Exactly."
"Pika!"
Then Ash sighs, "If Project Mew turns out to be a plot to...I don't know~ take over or destroy the world again, I expect you guys to help me kick some butt, OK?"
Gary, Goh, and Horace gulp before saluting, "Yes sir!"
"Good," Ash smiles.
"Horace, why did you agree to it too?" Goh asks.
"Because... if it is an evil plot, I would want to help too."
"Oh...OK then!" Goh smiles.
