There are two ways of leaving any galaxy.

You can either just fly out of it or use whatever faster than light you have to but unless you know where you are going you might end up drifting for years without ever reaching another galaxy.

The other way is by using the paths- tendrils or whatever you want to call the tunnels that connect the galaxies.

They make traveling from one galaxy to another something that's almost instantaneous, as a trip that would have taken generations is reduced to just a couple of hours.

The bubbles

Think of every bubble as a pocket dimension, all of the stories- movies, and books about a franchise are contained inside one.

Regardless of how big a story is, like for example Startreck- Star wars and 40K, they are all contained in their separate bubbles.

It is possible to leave the bubbles but the closer anyone gets to the edges of the bubbles the more and more insane things get.

The combination of different energies creates all sorts of anomalies, making mutations and insanity a common thing.

"What now?' she said t herself as she sat down on a chair looking at the various races walking around the space station.

Cross station was one of many, it was a space station that was placed in an area that connected colony ships- planets or Greater Stations to each other.

To put it simply the Cross Station's only purpose was to help regulate the traffic entering and leaving a system, as well as to provide a place for the people traveling to rest before they continued going wherever they were headed.

She continued to watch the people walking and going about their business and her attention soon turned to a man or what she believed to be a man as he sat next to her.

The man was covered in feathers from head to toe, and while she expected to see a beak instead of lips, she found that the man didn't have a beak but instead had a small line that acted as his mouth.

"First time," she said to him.

"Yes, I never expected to be allowed to enter so deep into fleet space.' the creature said to her, his voice sounding like some combination of a moan and squeak that were somehow blended.

"I'm sorry?" she asked him genuinely confused at his choice of words.

"Oh I'm here to present my race to the Admiral." the man said to her and she immediately felt pity for the man.

If he was here to offer his race then that meant that the drones had already deemed his race- his planet and everything that they represented as useless for the fleet.

Even if he had been allowed to enter fleet space, it was only because the Admiral was willing to humor him, and even then the Admiral's decision had already been made.

If the drones deemed a race as unworthy of being slaves, then that was because the Admiral had ordered them to do so, the drones searched for the planets and races that he wanted.

"So then that means that you are headed towards the royal station." a woman said to the man as she walked up to him.

'Yes." the creature answered the woman who wore a suit that covered her from head to toe.

"Oh where are my manners, I am Tali'Zorah, I am a Quarian" Tali introduced herself to them.

The creature looked at the Quarian for a long moment, it was as if he was trying to understand what Tali expected him to do next.

"I am." the creature said before his feathers lifted and he began to shake his body.

Forgive me but I am unable to speak my name in your language but rest assured that I did introduce myself." the creatures explained to Tali.

"I see, I find that it's better to talk to someone when you are nervous." Tali said to the creature who just looked at her.

"I'm going to meet with the Admiral, you see I was picked as a representative for my people and so it's up o me to prove that we deserve a Colony Ship."

As Tali spoke she began to use some sort of holographic machine that was on her wrist to show them the size difference between a regular ship- a space station and a colony ship.

She felt her eyes widen as she watched the image in front of her, that thing couldn't even be called a ship anymore.

The image in front of her couldn't have been right because if it was then the ship that Tali was trying to convince the admiral to give to her people was the size of a planet.

A lowed grow made everyone turn and a man that wasn't wearing anything but a loincloth sat near them.

The man's powerful body was on full display and she could see the man's impressive muscles despite him sitting in a rather relaxed matter.

The man notice them staring at him and said. "What it's been a long day."

"So where are you heading?" the creature asked her.

"Me, well I'm" she hesitated for a moment after all she had nowhere to go right now.

"I heard that the Admiral pays for information, like where valuable planets are and where people that belong to him are being kept by others."

"So I'm going to try and get him to give me a ship or allow me to leave so that I can find them for him." she said to them, it was a complete lie, but she couldn't help but feel insignificant when compared to the two people in front of her.

'What's this about exploring." the muscular man said before he stood up and walked towards her.

'Look if you're going out there, then you are going to need someone that can fight and I'm good at that, real good." he said to her as he showed her his muscles.

'I can't accept your offer, after all, have you ever heard of anyone leaving fleet space?' she said to the man, who didn't care about the fact that she had just rejected him.

She was about to say something when she noticed that the man's expression changed and he immediately turned to look at someone or something that she couldn't see.

"What the hell?" she heard him say.

Because of how big the man in front of her was she wasn't able to see what he was looking at and so she had no choice but to stand up so that she could see what he was looking at.

She found several different races whose appearance and way of dress contradicted one another, but it was the fact that they were together that allowed her to notice something that she normally wouldn't have been able to notice

All of the beings had a way of controlling the environment around them, some could move things without touching them, while others made things appear out of nowhere.

Some of the beings wore robes that covered them from head to toe and so it was impossible to see what they looked like, others didn't wear clothes but instead used light to cover themselves.

Others wore armor that was better suited for soldiers, while others wore what looked like plants that seemed to crawl around them.

The temperatures seemed to drop as men and women dressed in black and red robes walked in but kept their distance from the first group.

It was then that she decided that she should leave the station before the two groups tried to kill each other.
