Point of view change.

He exhaled as he looked at the various ships docked on the Royal space station and while the space station was impressive it paled when compared to the different ships next to it.

He could feel one of his three hearts beat faster as the other two tried to calm him down, this was it, he had con convince the Admiral the ruler of Fleet space to allow his race into the fleet, only then could his planet and his people be safe from the pyrates and slavers that continued to attack them.

He knew that if he succeeded his entire world would be enslaved to the fleet and the admiral, but the way the fleet treated its salves was better than the fate that awaited them when the pyrates or slavers captured them.

His world had seen what happened to the Uni after they were conquered by the fleet.

Unlike the Republic that had promised to protect them the fleet had kept several ships over the Uni homeworld and protected it from the pyrates.

From what little communication they had with the Uni leaders, they had discovered that the ones that had made contact with them were machines.

While surprising this wasn't what made his world's governments choose to present their world to the Admiral.

They had both seen and heard how the Uni were being treated, videos sent by the Uni showed how the drones brought with them food and building materials, as well as technology and medicine.

When a Uni child asked the drones why they were just giving this to them if they were slaves, the drone answered the boy by saying that the appearance and treatment of one's slaves displayed the owner's wealth and status.

It wasn't until the Uni began to leave their world and return to it that his leaders chose to try and contact the ships that were still guarding the Uni homeworld.

The ships ignored their attempts to make contact with them, even while his people called for help when the slavers and pyrates realized that his world was unprotected by the fleet.

Finally, after months of secret and what could only be called miracles, the world government managed to repair an old starship so that they could make contact with the ships.

It was only then that he felt despair, the drones just said to them to go away as they were coming close to a world that belonged to the fleet.

He tried to reason with them, to offer technology and his people to the drones, but the drones simply said that his world had nothing the fleet wanted.

Had it not been for his friend who he once believed was dead speaking for him and his world the drones would have ignored him after that.

The drones then told him that since a servant of the admiral believed that his people were worthy of being heard he could make try and convince the admiral.

He can still remember seeing how a single unpiloted ship separated itself from the massive starship and placed itself next to his ship.

The moment he entered the single-person craft it entered hyperspace and brought him to the cross station.

Now he had to use everything he had learned to prove himself, not to prove that his people and the world were worth protecting, because if he failed, then there would soon be nothing left.

He could feel his breath leave his body as nine gargantuan ships covered with weapons and strange skulls passed by the ship he was in.

They weren't alone as ships that looked as if they were made of gold and were so large that he felt that the craft he was in was nothing but a speck of dust.

If the admiral had control over these monsters then why would he need to crush anyone, as no one would be stupid enough to try and rebel against him?

He felt his shi dock into the space station and as he heard a drone announce that everyone could leave the ship he couldn't help but tremble with fear.

As he exited the ship once again he felt his breath leave him, on one side of the hall was a massive ocean where strange beasts swam.

On the other side, of the hallway, people that varied in appearance and couldn't possibly be the same species leisurely passed the time.

He held onto the papers in his hands tightly, in them were the many worlds that were once a part of the union that had been rendered lifeless by the pyrates and their masters.

He was going to use them as proof of what awaited his people if the fleet didn't help them.

He did have a plan b, but it was insane and wouldn't ever work as he had just made it up when he heard the red-skinned woman's plan.

If the admiral said no, then he would offer the dead worlds to the admiral in exchange for weapons and resources as well as protection.

He knew that the chances of getting any protection if he was rejected were nothing but a fantasy, but resources and technology might be possible.

As he walked he couldn't help but gasp at each corner he passed, each hall was different from the last and while each hall had diverse races in it, the environment in each hall was different.

One hall felt so cold that it practically froze him in place and forced him to walk faster, while another was so hot that he almost fainted.

One hall had creatures with powerful bodies walking in it and while he knew that these creatures were prone to anger, for whatever reason the creatures he had seen weren't attacking each other.

"Well wish me luck." Tali said to him and his companions as she walked into a room filled with people.

"So where are you headed." the red-skinned woman asked him.

'I was told to present my case to the Admiral" he answered.

"So do you know where he is?" she asked him.

It was a stupid question, of course, he didn't know where the admiral was after all the drone had just told him to go and talk to him.

The ship that had taken him to cross station had said to wait for the ship that was going to the royal station.

"No" he said to her as fear began to creep in.

"Okay, then let's ask," the red-skinned woman said before he watched her lift her hand and grab a drone that was flying above them.

'Excuse me, but my friend here has an appointment with the Admiral and unfortunately, he doesn't know where to go." she said to the drone who immediately scanned him with a green light.

"The admiral has been made aware of your arrival, head straight and you will find yourself at the bridge, don't touch anything unless you are told to do so." the drone said to him with a mechanical voice before flying away.

He passed by what looked like a series of windows and he couldn't help but open his mouth in amazement at the sight before him.

Several domes filled with what looked like different environments were floating next to the royal station each one was connected to another space station, but next to it were what looked like trees.

No there was no way that trees could grow in space and yet he was seeing them with his own eyes.

The trees were massive and even had ships flying around them, he wished that he could explore them one day, maybe if he was lucky he could bring his children with him.

If he ever had any.

He arrived at a simple-looking door that slid to the side and allowed him in, as he walked in he found a man that looked similar to the various creatures he had seen before.

Yet the creature in front of him wasn't remarkable in the slightest and when compared to everyone else he had seen until now, he was disappointing to look at.

"So are you three together or did you just come in all at once." the admiral asked them.

He turned around and found the muscular man and red-skinned woman standing behind him.

"The door opened and we came in, were we supposed to wait outside?" the muscular man said to the creature inside the room.

"Normally yes, but since none of you knew the rules I'll ignore it this time." the admiral said to them.

"Now sir... you want your world to be allowed into the fleet." the creature said to him.

He could feel the creature look looking at him, as its eyes scanned his body.

He then noticed that several different lights passed over him and something appeared in front of what he now knew was the admiral.

"No, the answer is no." he felt his soul suddenly be filled with pain.

"I can tell that you don't understand so I'll explain."

"The fleet is made of different races that all share one thing in common, they are all compatible, meaning that they all can reproduce with each other."

"Meaning that my organs can be used in an emergency to replace an organ or organs of the woman and man next to you."

"Your species has to match everyone else, it doesn't have to be perfect as you have seen while coming here, but it has to match one way or another."

"And unfortunately your species doesn't mix with ours." the admiral said to him coldly.

He swallowed, the admiral's words were clear and left no room for arguments, but maybe just maybe his stupid idea would work.

"I know of several dead worlds that once had life, in exchange for technology- resources and protection I can tell you where they are." he said to the admiral who just looked at him coldly.

"I'm listening." the admiral said to him.

He began to tell the admiral about the other races that were once part of the union and how they were enslaved or killed off by the pyrates and slavers.

He explained that while the fleet's scout ships did pass by his world they didn't find any of the worlds he was speaking of.

"Deal, but if this is going to work, you and by that, I mean everyone that belongs to your race, can't ever tell anyone that you don't match anyone else."

"The Uni said that you were worth speaking to and so I allowed you to enter this far into Fleet space."

"And I take it that since you came with them you are at the very least pleasing to be with, so I'll give you everything you asked for."

the admiral's expression quickly changed and became something that sent chills into his very being.

"If one just one of your kind does or tries something from here to ten years, your kind will lose any trade- protection and everything else that you may have gained because I allowed you to hide with us." the admiral said to him.

The screens behind the admiral showed the image of his world being attacked b what looked like pirate ships, that were now being fired upon by several massive ships that had suddenly emerged from what looked like a tear in reality.

'We're done go, explore the station or every other ship" the admiral said to him before he turned his attention to the red-skinned woman.

'So I hear that you want a ship to explore outside of fleet space and find planets and the people that were stolen from my worlds."

"There's your first job, standing next to you there are a lot of different ships at the bottom of the station pick one."

"The moment the ship undocks from the station you are responsible for it, it's up to you to fill it with the drones and people that you need, as for medicine- food- weapons, and vehicles the ships are full of them."

"You will be paid depending on what you find, be they asteroids with valuable minerals- threats to the fleet- planets or races that belong to me but they don't know it yet."

The red-skinned woman just looked at the admiral with wide eyes and an open mouth.

"What, did you think I wouldn't know the reason people come to see me?"

"Now go on, I still have a lot of meetings to do." he said to the red-skinned woman.
