Geryon sat in his room reading a book while Zero was sound asleep next to him on the ground. He then bookmarked where he stopped and got up from his chair. He paced back and forth as he pondered something. A knock was then heard at the door and Stella entered. "Hope I am not interrupting your planning stages for your work," she said.

"Not at all," Geryon reassured. "Just pondering something else."

"You're always doing that. What's going on?"

"Something has come to mind since I came here. Can I ask you perhaps a personal question?"

"Anything for a friend." Geryon gulped as he regained his courage.

"OK. Here goes. Did you really hate Stolas?"

"Whatever do you mean?"

"I just don't understand why you agreed to divorce him. Please don't take this the wrong way or anything. I just want to know." Stella sighed and looked at Geryon.

"He agreed to this marriage proposal because our goal was to birth an heir to the Goetia family. He had to endure some of my constant insults and cruelty just for her to have a normal life. So, he wanted me out of his life."

"Yet you still live with him." Geryon looked down depressingly towards the ground. "You have grown up after all."

"Yes. But I never forgot about you since you left that day years ago. I mean here you are as an inventor and me as a princess of Hell. It made me wonder; why the fuck did I agree to this whole arrangement in the first place?" Stella walked up to Geryon and lifted his head to meet his teary eyes. "I tried for so many years to convince my family to find you, but convincing them was never enough. So, I moved on."

"Did you really want to make Stolas pay for what he did?"

"He didn't tell you?"

"Tell me what?"

"That he had a relationship with an Imp."

"What?!" Geryon became angry and turned away from Stella. "How could he do this to you? Does Octavia know too?"

"No. It's probably for the best that she didn't." Geryon walked towards a window in his room to look outside with his hands behind his back. "I'm sorry for bringing it up."

"No worries. I just need to be alone. Let me take a stroll outside alone to clear my head." Geryon walked past Stella as he went outside leaving her alone in the room. She became worried about her childhood friend as she sat on a chair.

Stella

There were those who deny at what I do I am a princess

For my talents are renowned far and wide

When comes to surprises in the moonlit night

I accel without even knowing it

With a slightest little effort of my beautiful charms

I have seen others fear me when I am out

With a wave of my hand and well-placed 'hello'

I have swept the very bravest off their feet

Yet year after year, it's the same thing

And I grew so lonely without him

And I, Stella, the princess of Hell

Have grown so tired of everything I do

Oh, somewhere deep inside of this flesh

An emptiness begins to grow

There's something out here that I don't know

A longing that I've forgotten now

I was a good friend and a demon with a passion

And I'll scare anyone who gets in my way

To a human in Kentucky, I'm Miss Unlucky

And I am now known to the Goetia family

And since he's an inventor he can use a robot's head

To recite Shakespearean quotations

No animal or demon can invent like he can

With the fury of his recitations

But who in the family would ever understand

That an inventor with a birds grin

Would I tire of this position? If I only understood

I'd give it all up if he only could

Oh, there's an empty place in his heart

That calls out for something unknown

The fame and praise comes from me right now

Does nothing for his empty tears

Stella covered her face as she began to cry. Octavia was hiding outside of the room as she spied on her mother. "I know how you feel, mommy," she whispered to herself as she walked past the room.

Geryon strolled through the garden alone as he thought of what Stella explained to him about her agreement with Stolas to the divorce. He felt a little down and bad about it. Octavia rushed towards him and stopped him. "Geryon!"

"What is it Octavia?" Geryon asked; sadly.

"My mother sounded upset. Like she regretted something."

"She told me the reason why your father wanted a divorce. I didn't mean to hurt her."

"Not to worry. I have an idea. She is hosting a masquerade party tonight and you're invited." Octavia then handed an invitation envelope to Geryon who then had a look of concern.

"What is it with her and parties?"

"She likes hosting parties." Geryon then understood the explanation.

"What's your plan?" Octavia then began to explain her plan to Geryon as he listened.

People at the party wore masks on their faces as they had fun at the party. Some of the guests danced with their partners on the dance floor while others had drinks. The guests raised their glasses and cheered. Octavia stood hoping Geryon would show up as planned. Stolas took a sip of his drink as some guests enjoyed the party. He noticed Stella sitting alone with a glass in hand at a table. "Think about it, dad," Octavia said. "Geryon and mother together forever in the future. It only takes a little push."

"If it is the only way to make her happy than being with me," Stolas said as he looked around. "Where is Geryon anyways?"

"He said he is coming. I hope." Geryon entered the party room as the music stopped. The guests turned to see him as it made him a little nervous. The party then resumed before he decided to take the stage. He handed a sheet of music to the conductor and whispered in his ear. The conductor nodded as Geryon stood in front of a microphone stand. He tapped on it to see if it was on and cleared his throat.

"Uh, hello," Geryon greeted. It got the guests attention. He looked at Stella who noticed him, then back at the crowd. She didn't know who he was with the mask on. "I would like to dedicate a song to someone I care about all those years." A spotlight lit up over him before he could do anything. He closed his eyes and signaled the conductor to play.

Geryon

Night time arrives, heightens each sensation

Darkness stirs and wakes imagination

Silently unaware abandon their defenses

Geryon turned to look at Stella who was in the audience. He decided to detach the microphone from the stand and slowly walk off the stage to her as he sang.

Slowly, gently, night unfurled its beauty

Grasp it, sense it, tremulous and sweet

Turn your face away from the garish light of day

Turn your thoughts away from cold, unfeeling light

And listen to my song of the night

Close your eyes and surrender to your darkest fears

Purge your thoughts of a life you knew before

Close your eyes, let your spirit spread its wings

And you'll live as you never lived before

Geryon offered his hand to Stella as she took it slowly. She then walked with Geryon as he continued to sing.

Softly, deftly, music shall control you

Hear it, feel it, closing in around you

Open up your mind, let your fantasies come alive

In the darkness which you know you cannot fight

The darkness of my song of the night

Geryon smiled as Stella was amazed with Geryon's singing even as she didn't know it's him.

Let your mind start a journey through a whole new world

Leave all thoughts of the life you lived before

Let your soul tell you where you should be

Only then can you belong to me

Floating, falling, sweet intoxication

Touch me, trust me, savor every moment

Let our dream begin, let your heart decide your fate

To the power of the song I am singing now

The power of my song of the night

Stella had tears in her eyes to the most romantic song ever sung. She wanted to remove the mask to see who the person was, but resisted the urge. Stolas and Octavia were both impressed with the song as they stood in the back of the audience.

You alone can decide your own fate

And help me sing my song of the night

The audience clapped as Geryon rushed back to the stage and put the microphone back on the stand. He then took a bow before leaving the stage. The party then resumed as a random song was played. Geryon walked towards the balcony of the party room to gaze at the starry sky. Stella secretly followed and closed the door behind her. "That was the most lovely song I have ever heard in my life," she complimented. Geryon turned to meet Stella with a smile.

"I wrote it myself actually," Geryon said. He then looked at the time on his phone and saw that it was past midnight. "Midnight. Which means our identities must be revealed."

"You first." Geryon placed his hand on his mask and slowly took it off to reveal his face to Stella. Tears came out of her eyes as she removed her mask next. "It was you, Geryon. The whole time."

"Took the time to write it as a poem and make it into a song." Stella then rushed to Geryon to hug him.

"That was the you I remembered when we were kids. You were always a good singer back then. But I see that you have improved." Geryon then had an idea pop up in his head.

"How would you feel if we ran away from all of this? We can visit my home. I could show you things I can do and make."

"Are you asking me out?" Geryon chuckled nervously.

"I am, my princess." Stella then smiled at the thought.

"I would love that, my dear Geryon."
