Shikamaru was laying in the forest hiding from his mother.

'Why does my mom have to be such a drag?' I thought as I watched the clouds drift lazily up in the sky.

'What is the point of me learning to cook? Honestly I'm only 5 years old, and it's not like I won't be married by the time I would need to cook for myself. What's the point in learning now anyways?'

Laying there watching the clouds is all I want to do right now. Yeah I know I need to get stronger and smarter, I am the hair to my clan after all, but right now I'm perfectly happy to just be lazy and watch the clouds.

I was thinking of how I wanted my life to go and planing just how to make it go the way I want when the buck of my family's deer grabbed my shirt sleeve in it's mouth and tried to drag me. He seemed rather frantic so I followed him. I had to run to keep up with the large buck. 'what a drag.' I thought.

For all my knowledge and for thought of what the greate deer could want to show me and never expected it to be a girl. she looked to be on the brink of death, the only thing I could think to do was run to my dad. He would know what to do.

I ran faster than I ever had. When I reached the house I slammed the door open starting my mom, she tried to grab me but I dozed her and yelled, " Dad I need you help!"

My mom looked surprised at my yelling.

' Probably cause I never yell like that." I thought.

My dad appeared in front of me and asked

" What's wrong Shika, why are you yelling?"

" Dad, I was watching the clouds in the forest when the buck came up to me and tried to drag me away. He seemed really frantic so I followed him. When he finally stopped there was a girl on the ground and she didn't look good at all. she was covered in blood and barely breathing. You have to help her, please!" I said in a rush.

My mom froze for a second then started rushing around getting medical supplies together. My dad asked me to take him to where the girl was, I showed him where she was. When he saw her he froze and looked to be in a great deal of pain I didn't understand why. I though he might have felt bad for the young girl.

Little did I know that this one moment would change everything. Not just in my life but for the world as well.
