Shikaku's P.O.V

'I was worried, Shikamaru never yells like this. Something had to be truly wrong for him to be like this. I just never expected for it to be this.'

I knew exactly who she was as soon as I laid eyes on her. She looks so much like her parents it's a miracle no one has figured out who they were yet. It broke my heart to see her in such a state. Her parents where close friends of mine and heros to the village. To think this is how she would end up in a village she helped save is disheartening.

Aas I go to pick her up to take her back to the house I notice how thin she is. She may only be 5 but she shouldn't be this tiny. All I could think is how the old Hokage could let this happen to our young hime. I plan to find out soon.

When I got back to the house I was never more glad for the wonderful woman I married. she already had a room ready and everything needed to treat the young girl in my arms. With my son right be hind me I carried the young girl into the room.

3rd person P.O.V

"Lay her on the bed and get out, the both of you. Shikaku you go get something for her to eat and the Hokage I know who this girl is and I want to know how he could let this happen. I'll get her cleaned up a treated while you do that."

Yoshino turned to me look at me like I shouldn't be there and yelled,

" What are you still doing here do as I asked right now!"

"What a drag." Shikaku mumbled as he left to do as his wife ordered.

Shikaku's first stop was the Hokage tower to speak with the Hokage about the young girl currently fighting for her life in his house. He knocked on a door and waited to be granted entry.

"Enter." He heard from the other side of the door after a second. he entered the door to find an old man sitting behind a large desk doing paper work. The old man was wareing robes and a hat with the kanji for fire on it. He was the 3rd hokage, l leader of the village hidden in the leaves.

"What can I do for you shikaku?" The old Hokage asked.

"Could we speak privately please?" Shikaku asked. Hiruzen raised a brow at this but waved his hand signaling the hidden ANBU to leave.

Once they were along Shikaku told the old Hokage what was going on. Hiruzen looked as though he would pass out at any moment.

"Please take me to her, I have been looking for her for weeks. It seems the orphanage kicked her out a while back and hid it from me. I've been looking for her sence I found out she wasn't there anymore." He asked.

Shikaku seeing the truth in his Hokage's eyes nodded his head and led him out of the tower. Their first stop was a a small ramen bar. Both thinking of the young girls parents and their love for this place and how she was sure to love it just as much as them.

Hoping against all hope the young hime would be ok they were lost in thought as they walked back to the Nara compound.

'I don't give a fuck what the council says at this point. I will do all that I can to help her from now on. Please forgive me for not doing something sooner.' Thought Shikaku.

'Please forgive this old fool for not doing something much sooner. Minato, Kushina I have failed. Let us hope it is not to later for us to save you baby girl.' Thought the old Hokage.
