Naruko's P.O.V

"Why do they hate me?" I cried into the furry form of the greate being sealed inside of me. Some would think I was insane for looking to the nine tailed fox for comfort. He was my very first friend and has always been there for me. From the very start he was there taking care of me when no one else would.

Flashback

I was just kicked out of the orphanage and was all alone. It was cold out as it was fall. I was so scared and hungry, what 4 year old wouldn't be at that point. I haven't eaten in a few days so I went to the market to see if I might be able to get something to eat. I was being careful like always, for some reason everyone seems to hate me. I wasn't careful enough though and got caught and dragged to an ally away from the main market.

"MONSTER!"

"DEMON WHORE!"

"JUST DIE ALREADY YOU BITCH!"

The men yelled as they beat me. this kept going on for a while before one of the men said to the others,

"Oui! Why don't we have some fun with the bitch of a demon whore before we finish her off for good?

I didn't know what it meant but the smiles they wore said it wouldn't be good for me at all.

One of the men pind my arms down while the others pined my legs and ripped at my clothes. The first guy was undoing his pants and crawling on top of me. I have no idea what he was doing but it was the most painful thing I have ever felt. I am no stranger to pain, beatings we're a normal thing in my life at the orphanage, but this pain was just far to much for me to handle.

I don't remember closing my eyes or how I got away from the men hurting me but when I opened my eyes I was in a strange place. It looked like a sewer with water up to my ankles. I didn't feel scared though, there was a feeling of life coming from this place. I felt it strongly from down the hall so I followed the feeling.

when I got to where the feeling was strongest I was Infront of a large cage with a slip of paper on it. There was something written on it but I can't read konji yet so I don't know what it says.

"Hello is anyone there?" I called to the gate.

"Hello kit, I have been waiting to see you face to face. I am truly sorry it took so long and that it had to be such a great trauma that brought you here. Haf you farther not been so cautious I would have helped more, but this seal is to strong and I am powerless to protect you." A strong yet sad voice said back

I slowly walked closer to the gate to see who was talking. I was not expecting to come face to face with the 9 tailed fox. He said my father sealed him so I ask him

"Who is my father? You said he sealed you here would you please tell me who he is?"

"Sadly it is to early for you to know who he is just yet, it is not safe. and should anyone find out you speak with me they would hurt you more. Don't let anyone find out just yet. For now please come closer I'll help you get away from those men and heal you as much as I can. It will feel strange but don't fight it ok it will only hurt you if you do." He pulled me to him with one tail and stopped it around me I felt his power then and it was terrifying but I knew I was perfectly safe with this great being. My very first friend.

End flashback

Shikamaru's P.O.V

Mom had finished cleaning and treating the girl I found and was now cleaning herself up. She had me sit here and watch over the girl I case she woke up. Now that she's clean I can see that she has bright blond hair the color of the sun, her skin was sun kissed tan. She has these scars on her face that look like whiskers. 'Kind of cute.' hold up brain where did that come from.

"What a drag." I day to myself looking up. When I look back to the girl she seems to be having a bad dream, not that I could blame her with how badly she was hurt. I notice some of the smaller cuts have already healed for the most part. ' Strange I know our medicine works wonders but it doesn't work that fast. I wonder how she's healing so fast.'

Just as that thought crossed my mind she opens her eyes and my breath cought in my lungs. She had the most beautiful bule eyes I have ever seen. Like the ocean on a clear day with not waves.

3rd person P.O.V

Naruko looked around the room she was in wondering how she got there. Last she remembered she was being chased by some villagers that had been beating her. She ran to the forest to lose them and got lost herself.

Looking around she noticed another person in the room. He seems to be about the same age as Naruko. She wonders if he will be a friend or if he will be cruel like every one else.

Shikamaru see the hope and fear in her eyes and gave a gentle smile.

"Hi my name is Shikamaru I found you in the forest and got help. My mom treated you while my dad went to get something to eat, he should be back soon actually. What is your name?" He told her hopping it would help out her at ease to know they were helping her. It seemed to work cause after a few seconds she gave the brightest smile he had ever seen and said,

" Hi I'm Naruko Uzumaki, thank you for helping me. It's very nice to meet you."

"It's nice to meet you to." he smiled back at her. For some reason he felt as if the world had just shifted and didn't know if he should be sacred or not. Shikamaru decided that if she was in his life then he had no reason to be scared of the feeling he was getting.
