Chapter 9:

Edward woke up feeling hungry and confused. In his panic he grabbed his phone to see it was a day later. Then he processed what happened, he was put asleep for a whole day! Someone from the band of monsters, who is keeping his Bella captive, has the ability to knock them out. So just grabbing Bella during the meeting and running away will be an even more tricky feat.

"Come now, Edward, everyone needs to go hunting."

Edward was startled by Carlisle and the rest of the family staring at him. They all looked at him cautiously as if he would…

'Edward,' Jasper thought, 'I could feel your hunger from my study.'

'Oh right,' Edward thought, 'I feel like I haven't eaten in a month.'

The Cullens and Edward went out to make sure they wouldn't attack anyone during the meeting. Once they were back Edward smelled some baked goods in the air.

'Were Emmet and Esme baking?' Edward thought, looking at the two confused.

"Why are you two baking right now?" Edward asked.

He received glares from everyone except Emmet and Esme.

"Well," Esme replied, "since the meeting is taking place here, Emmet and I got a list from everyone attending on what they want to eat during it."

"What?" Edward said excitedly. "Does that mean Bella will be finally coming back to us?"

Esme let out a soft laugh, before saying, "No Edward she'll be explaining her side of the breakup and what she had to deal with. Then we'll be talking mostly to her team."

Edward's shoulders dropped a little, but then had a thought.

'Oh! My family and this band of monsters will be talking about mine and Bella's marriage plan.'

"You still need to pack your stuff," Carlisle said, "and pick wherever you want to live."

'For mine and Bella's honeymoon year! Of course. I'll just go pack then.'

Edward happily walked back to his room, making the rest of the Cullens feel disturbed by this so Alice called Sam to warn them ahead of time just in case he does something stupid.

-Two days later-

Bella stared up at the Cullens' house. Younger her always dreamed about living here with the Cullens one day with sparkling skin and yellow eyes. Now she shuddered at the thought of being with the stupid mind reader.

"Are you nervous love?" Tom asked, pulling her close to him. "Are you thinking about Alice's warning?"

Then there was Alice's clear warning about Edork's sudden mood swings after he was being informed about where the meeting was being held at their place. Bella just knows he'll try something stupid during this meeting.

"I was just thinking about everything I had to deal with," Bella answered, "and what I could've been at this moment."

"Do you feel any regrets about where your life went then?" Mina asked. She looked more concerned than being as angry as she was this morning.

"No," Bella replied, "it led me to all of you."

Mina and Tom smiled at her before their attention was drawn to the pack going into the building. Everyone had their game face on as they also entered the building.

Rosalie and Alice were waiting for them at the front door. Bella gave them a polite smile as she, her team, and Sam's pack were guided to the living room. Emmet and Esme had multiple tables laid out filled with foods and beautiful desserts. There was also a table reserved for multiple drinks and cups.

'Wow they really out did themselves,' Bella thought as Tom's, Skinner's, and Orlando's eyes widened with excitement at the food. Nemo and Arronax looked impressed by a lot of the sea food options, and there was an indescribable look of hunger from Jekyll's and Utterson's faces. Allan and Griffin looked impressed by the food. Mina was also impressed, but was dead focused on the task at hand.

"Thank you for making food for us Mrs. Cullen," Mina said as she took a seat her team followed her actions along with Sam's pack. The Cullens sat opposite from them when everyone noticed that Edward wasn't there. Suddenly there was loud howling and cursing.

"PUT ME DOWN YOU FUCKING BRAT!" Charlie's voice shouted as it got closer with footsteps accompanying it. Bella stood from her seat as Edork walked through the door with her dad flung over his shoulder.

"Dad!" Bella exclaimed as Carlisle shouted, "What are you doing Edward?!"

"It's fine Carlisle~!" Edork said cheerfully, putting the man down, who quickly got away from him and closer to his daughter. "He needs to be here to talk about mine and Bella's marriage."

"So you kidnapping the chief of police in broad daylight is acceptable?!" Carlisle growled out. "Over a fictional wedding you made up?"

"Is…" Edork asked, clearly confused, "is this meeting not about how Bella is divorcing Sawyer here, quitting this crazy team and becoming my wife?"

He was given an answer by multiple shifters and the league nearly choked on their drinks while his family and Bella looked at him horrified. Their outrage thoughts made Edork look uncomfortable as it dawned on him.

"Isn't it?" Edork asked hopefully.

"No!" Everyone shouted at him followed by Carlisle saying, "Sit down now. You're just embarrassing us and yourself."

Edork took a seat, keeping his head down. The others glared at him before focusing on each other more calmly. Well Bella was fretting over her dad along with Billy and Jacob.

"I'm fine," Charlie huffed, "mostly angry that he kidnapped me from my home, but fine."

"Sorry Charlie," Mina said, managing to make Bella pull back, "but Bella and Jacob did watch a vampire tear your arm off along with getting a tree trunk embedded in your stomach."

"WHAT?!" All of the Cullens exclaimed in shock. All they heard and saw was Charlie's missing arm, but a tree trunk was embedded into his stomach?

"Surely you all are exaggerating," Edork said with an ease, "if that happened then Charlie wouldn't be-"

"Shut up Edward." Rosalie hissed out coldly. "We have enough of your excuses and lies. Now Bella…"

Rosalie turned to Bella, who looked back at her with equal respect.

"Didn't you want us to leave," Rosalie continued, "because we scared you at your party?"

The Cullens looked tense waiting for her reply, she knew that they now know the truth, but she guessed it was the guilt making all of them anxious. She studied each Cullens before landing on her ex. He looked the most tense out of all of them, but then again his towers of lies were about to finally crumble down.

"No I didn't want any of you to leave," Bella answered, "in fact; I remember telling both Carlisle and Edward here to tell Jasper that I didn't hold any harsh feelings towards him. Did neither one of you tell him?"

"How could we," Carlisle growled, "if a certain someone made him run away, followed by Alice then the rest of us after he dropped you off. Which was very odd that he decided to stay behind for a couple more days."

Bella stared at the vampire slowly sinking in his seat. Before letting out the most bitter laugh.

"Oh you son of a bitch," Bella sighed angrily, "of course you lied to them to make them leave, that is your personal M.O. huh?"

"What does she mean?" Esme asked, her voice was so cold the room thought she was about to kill him.

"Oh when that James fellow started to hunt Bella," Charlie explained, "Edward here apparently read my mind when Bella was packing and instructed her on what to say in order to make me let her go."

There was hissed of displeasure at hearing Charlie's answer. Edork flinched from their sudden anger, until Bella put her hand up causing everyone to look at her.

"Before you lecture him," Bella said, "let me explain how our breakup went."
