Five years after that night, Marinette was leaving school when Alya walked up to her in the main courtyard.
"Hey girl," said Alya as she gave her friend a hug.
"Hey, how did you do on that math test?" asked Marinette.
"I got a B, what about you?" asked Alya.
"An A like normal," said Marinette with a smile. However, that smile soon dropped when she heard Cloe's voice from behind them.
"I don't know why you are still friends with the freak girl, Alya," said Chloe as she approached the two with Sabrina at her heels.
"You know you're going to push your luck and catch Dupain-Cheng's eye disease one of these days, right?" she asked.
"I would rather have two different eye colors than a face made of plastic," said Alya with a smug smile.
"You!" said Chloe as her face went bright red while the other two left laughing.
"Nice come back, Alya," said Marinette.
"It was nothing, by the way you want to come over this evening, the rest of the family is going to be gone and I have that movie you have been wanting to watch," said Alya.
"Can't, I have to watch the bakery for my parents," said Marinette.
"They're going out this evening and I have to wait for a pickup," she said.
"Too bad, guess we'll have to wait till next time then," said Alya before they separated at a crosswalk. However, as soon as Alya was out of sight, Marinette's happy expression dropped.
"This eye is still causing me trouble," she said while placing a hand over her green eye.
"I guess the only good thing about it is that it reminds me of Adrien every time I see it," she said before heading home. Unbeknownst to her, Master Fu had been following her since she left the school.
"Are you sure she is the right one?" asked Wayzz.
"I am, she will make a great Ladybug, and I'm sure she will also lead us to our Cat Noir too," said Master Fu with a smile.
