Sasuke was annoyed that Sakura would be concealing her chakra, if he knew that she was nearby he wouldn't have said the things he said. He could now sense her chakra.

In the corner of his eye, he could see it running down to her fist with a shade of glowing blue. He wasn't brave enough to look at her.

"Sasuke," Sakura began "as you stated before," said Sakura calmly. She now turns to face Sasuke "I'm not your woman," Sakura repeats exactly what Sasuke said when they were meeting up with Naruto. Sakura's facial expression now changes to someone that could kill anyone at any second. "So, what gives you the right to give me away?"

"Sakura," said Sasuke calmly, still unwilling to face her "We have more important things to discuss,"

Sasuke knew avoiding her gaze any longer wouldn't help. He had to acknowledge her and resolve this situation fast. Sasuke sighed and turn to face Sakura. "We will continue this private conversation back home," said Sasuke calmly. They both hold their gaze toward each other, unwilling to be the first one to look away.

"You both sound like a married couple already," said Kakashi. Both of them lost their gaze and face Kakashi at the same time. They were in shock and blushing. "Which will make this mission a lot easier," Kakashi continued.

Sasuke was wondering what Kakashi was talking about and then it hits him 'No,' reflecting on his own mission report he realised this could be bad.

"Kakashi what kind of mission is this?" asked Sakura.

Kakashi handed Sakura the report and Sakura started reading it

There have been 10 cases so far, all targets are couples. It seems that the women are under some kind of control – could be genjutsu. It has been controlling their action and led to them killing their partner. Cause unknown, the only common factor is that the relationships had a toxic past.

"As you can see, it seems to be some kind of genjutsu," Kakashi started "Which is why I selected you Sakura," Sakura has had great genjutsu resistance throughout the years and would be a great candidate for this mission.

"And you can see why I have selected Sasuke," said Kakashi. Sasuke's ability to go into people's minds and the ability to see their memories would be making him essential. "Here, this is what your mission will be," said Kakashi. Handing the mission report to them. They both started reading it.

"A married couple?" said Sakura out loud, she blushed at the thought. Sasuke on the other hand was worried. He knew if they were going into this together as a married couple, they would be the target. Which would mean Sakura would be…

"So, you would be using me as bait?" asked Sakura. This didn't surprise Sasuke at all, Sakura is very quick to catch on.

"With both your skills you should be fine," said Kakashi. Concerns started to cross Sakura's mind. Reflecting on the mission report stating a 'toxic past' and 'killing their partner' Sakura decided to voice her concerns.

"As you know, Sasuke and I have had," Sakura said in a worrying tone, "negative events in the past,"

She took her time and continued "What if it's not genjutsu, and that I become like the other woman?"

"That's why you would be the perfect bait and Sasuke will be with you," said Kakashi. Trying to reassure her. "If it comes to that, he will stop you,"

"Ok," said Sakura, still unsure. "When are we leaving?"

"Tomorrow afternoon," said Kakashi. "Enough time for both of you to go out and have some fun tonight,"

Both acknowledged Kakashi and headed out of the office.

They started walking back to Sakura's house, Sasuke was stuck in his thoughts. He was worried that this mission could cause strain on their relationship. He looked at Sakura admiring her existence 'I need to focus on this mission, whatever events happen, even if it damages our relationship, we will be able to overcome it,'

Sakura was also worried, 'What if Sasuke has to kill me or even worst, I end up killing him? I need to stop worrying. Think about the positive…. We will be traveling as married couples….' Sakura blush at the thought.

The sun was starting to set, the sky looked beautiful with its amber colours. Sakura stops to look at the sky. Sasuke stops as well to join her, he looks up.

"It's beautiful," said Sasuke, this surprised Sakura. She turns to him to look at him, he moves his gaze to Sakura and Sakura smiles at him. Sasuke gives her a smile back.
