Sakura was walking to the door like a robot. Still red in the face. 'Sakura, breathe, breathe,'
She opens the door and sees a Naruto standing there.
"What gives Sakura? What was taking so long?" said Naruto. Naruto saw a flushed Sakura and a smirking Sasuke. "What were you guys doing?" said Naruto. He sees the fallen dining chair in the background and starts to put pieces together and come up with his conclusion, "Eeeh! Sasuke! I was getting a bit worried you weren't a normal guy, but it seems like even you have urges,"
This pissed Sasuke off, Sasuke was about to give back a smart-arse comment, but it was too late. Sakura radiated chakra all over her body and was ready to kill someone. She strikes Naruto with one punch which makes Sasuke smirk, then Sakura turns around and starts walking toward the bathroom, giving Sasuke a death glance.
Sasuke sighed, then headed toward Naruto to help him up.
"Yeah, I kind of deserved that one," said Naruto.
"You think?" said Sasuke. Helping him up, they both headed back inside.
Sasuke picks up the dining chair and puts it back in place.
"I brought the sake," said Naruto. Sasuke went to the cupboards and took out three small glasses.
Sakura was standing in front of the bathroom sink, the tap running. She cups the water with her hands and raises her face. She touches her lips with her fingertips 'did that actually happen,' she becomes red in the face again. 'eee!' that was too much for Sakura. She has always wanted to be intimate with Sasuke, but not in the direction it was heading or more like the speed of it, and she felt overwhelmed. Then she recalls what he said. "Maybe next time," this thought made her heart beat faster. Sakura took a breath, wondering what to do. 'I need to pretend that nothing happened and if something like that happens again. I'll deal with it then.' She took that moment to compose herself and decided to go back out there to join them.
Sakura sees Sasuke pouring Sake into three glasses,
"Oi Sakura, come and join us," said Naruto. Sakura walked towards the table, took the cup with sake, and drank it in one hit.
"I'm sorry about before," said Naruto sincerely.
"You should be," said Sakura. She then sits down, grabs the sake bottle, pours it into her glass, and then drinks it in one go again.
"You may need to slow it down, Sakura," said Naruto. "We have all night,"
Sakura gave Naruto the evil eye and poured another one. This time she took her time to drink it.
"Where is Hinata?" asked Sakura.
"She had some errands to do. She will be joining us later," said Naruto. "Shall we toast for Team 7 get-together?"
"But Kakashi isn't here," said Sakura.
"Yeah, I tried to get him to come, but he still has work to do," said Naruto. "Someone broke the Hokage's office door," Sakura blushed from embarrassment. She was the one who broke it.
"Well, it can't be helped," said Sakura sheepishly.
All three toasted their drinks.
"I was hoping to catch Sasuke when I was there, but Kakashi said you had already left," said Naruto. "He told me you're both are going on a mission together. What gives? Why can't I join the mission,"
Sasuke and Sakura both blushed.
"um, it's a two-man team mission," said Sakura, "and you have your wife to take care of,"
Naruto sighed. "Speaking of which, we should start to head out and meet with her," said Naruto. The three finished their drinks and headed towards the door.
"Where are we meeting her?" asked Sakura. While putting on her shoes. She then locks the door behind them.
"At Ichiraku Ramen," said Naruto. Sasuke and Sakura looked at each other, thinking the same thing, 'of course, that's where they were going,' they started walking towards Ichiraku ramen.
"Ichiraku ramen has changed a bit since you were last here, Sasuke," said Naruto.
"Yeah, they had to," said Sakura. "People keep flocking to it because of Naruto."
"he he he," Said Naruto.
They arrived at Ichiraku Ramen. Hinata was standing in front of it, waving them down. Naruto ran toward his wife and hugged her.
"How did it go?" asked Naruto.
"Um, we'll talk about it later, ok," said Hinata, slightly blushing. Naruto looked confused but acknowledged Hinata's request.
"Come on, guys, let's eat," said Naruto. They all went in and sat down and started to order.
Their order started to come in, and of course, all had ramen. They served the drinks. Three of them had a beer, and one had green tea.
"You're not drinking Hinata?" asked Sakura.
"Um, not today," said Hinata. Hoping Sakura wasn't going to press on the matter.
"More, please!" said Naruto. Naruto had finished his plate.
"Me too," said Hinata. Sasuke and Sakura turned to look at Hinata. She had finished her plate. Sakura looked at her plate and noticed that she barely touched it.
"Ah, Hinata are we doing the challenge tonight?" asked Naruto.
"he he, yep," said Hinata.
The couple ordered 10 more plates, while Sasuke and Sakura were taking their time to eat their food. This continued for a while till Ino and Sai came past.
"Hi guys," said Ino. Ino and Sai walk toward the table. Sai waves his hand to everyone and then makes eye contact with Sasuke. There was a moment of awkwardness in both staring at each other. Sai gave Sasuke a nod in the form of acknowledgment, 'Welcome back,' Sasuke returned the gesture and nodded back, 'Thank you.'. Ino notices the number of plates Hinata had piled up.
"Damn Hinata, I think you have beaten Choji's record," said Ino.
"Not yet," said Hinata. Hinata waved down the server to order another round for herself.
"You should Join us," said Naruto. Sai and Ino joined the table and ordered a round of ramen. Sakura and Sasuke were done with their meal and ordered some sake for the table. Sakura was starting to get red in the face.
"Done!" yelled Hinata. Hinata had beaten Choji's record. A congratulatory banning came up, and the owners took a picture of Hinata.
Hinata joins back the table. Everyone except Hinata had a round of sake, and Naruto was starting to go red in the face. At that moment.
"I think I'm going to be sick," said Hinata. Hinata rushes to go to the toilet.
"I'll join you," said Sakura. Sakura stood up too quickly and lost balance. Sasuke caught Sakura's arm to help her keep stable.
"You, ok?" asked Sasuke.
"I'm fine," said Sakura in her drunken voice.
"I'll come too," said Ino. Ino Helped Sakura to the bathroom to see if Hinata was all right.
When Ino and Sakura enter the bathroom, they could hear Hinata vomiting in the background,
"Hey Hinata, are you ok?" asked Ino.
"Yeah, I'll be out in a sec," Said Hinata. Sakura was starting to get sick as well and went into the other toilet and started to vomit.
Ino stood there in horror. 'Damn, now I have another one to look after.'
Hinata came out of the toilet and rinsed her face.
"Do you think you got food poison?" asked Ino. "or you just overate,"
"Um, it's nothing like that." Said Hinata, red in the face.
"Eh, what do you mean?" asked Ino. Sakura came out of the stall and washed her face.
"You went to the doctor before dining, didn't you?" asked Sakura. Hinata went even redder.
"You know, don't you?" asked Hinata. Sakura nodded.
"I'm a medical ninja, of course, I know," said Sakura.
"What's going on here," asked Ino.
"I haven't told Naruto yet," said Hinata.
"Hey! You guys are going to fill me in here?" said Ino
Sakura gave Hinata a look to say, 'can I tell Ino?' Hinata gave her a nod to say yes.
"Hinata is pregnant," said Sakura.
"W-What!" said Ino. "Oh my god, congratulations!"
"Calm down. As I said. I haven't told Naruto yet," said Hinata.
"How many weeks are you in?" asked Ino.
"I'm not sure," said Hinata.
"Can I check?" asked Sakura. Hinata nodded, and Sakura started to scan Hinata's belly with her chakra. "It seems like it's six weeks in," said Sakura. Ino was squealing with excitement in the background.
"We should probably join back with the boys," said Hinata. They start to head out of the bathroom, but Sakura stabled. Ino caught Sakura.
"I think I might have had too much," said Sakura laughing "he heh, we almost kissed, hahaha," this surprised Ino and Hinata, and they smiled at each other.
"I think it's time for you to go home, Sakura," said Ino.
The boys saw the girls coming out of the bathroom door with Hinata and Ino carrying Sakura.
"I think we need to take Sakura home," said Hinata.
"Oi, Sasuke! Come and help to carry your women," said Ino.
"She is not my woman," said Sasuke. Ino gave Sasuke the evil eye. He sighed and came to help carry Sakura.
"I got her," said Sasuke. He picked her up with his one hand and tossed her over his should. 'Damn, she is heavy,' they all left the restaurant and started to walk through the city.
Naruto started to stable as well. He sat down next to a shop.
"Hey guys, let's take a break, ok?" said Naruto. Sasuke looked at the rest of them, implying someone needed to help Naruto.
"Sai, can you help Naruto, please," asked Ino. 'The last thing we need is to have Hinata carry him in that condition.' Sai nodded, grabbed Naruto over his shoulders, and started to carry him.
"Oi! What gives," shouted Naruto.
"You are drunk, stupid," said Sai. This made Sasuke laugh a little.
"I'm not. I'm fine!" said Naruto. Everyone responded with yeah, yeah, Naruto. Naruto looked at Sasuke and Sakura.
"It isn't fair!" said Naruto. "I want to join the mission! I'll go to Kakashi tomorrow to ask to join," Sakura started to come too.
"You can't. It's a two-man mission," said Sakura.
"But Kakashi wouldn't mind if I joined," said Naruto.
"You need to take care of Hinata," said Sakura.
"What do you mean," said Naruto. All three girls froze. 'Damn, we need to think fast,'
"Naruto, there is a reason it is a two-man mission," said Ino. Naruto turns to Ino for an explanation.
"Sasuke and Sakura are required to be a married couple for it," said Ino. Sasuke and Sakura blushed, and Naruto and Hinata responded with surprise.
*BANG*
"What was that," responded everyone.
"Oh no!" said Ino. "That sounds like it came from the flower shop," Ino started to run towards the shop. The others followed.
Two figures had broken into the flower shop.
"Oi," Scream Ino. The two started to run off.
"Hey! Sai! Put me down and let's go after them," said Naruto. Sai put Naruto down, and they both went after them.
Ino went into the shop, glass everywhere. Hinata and Sasuke (still carrying Sakura) went in after her. Ino looked destroyed by the damage.
"Hey, Sasuke put Sakura down over here," said Hinata. Sasuke complied and placed a half-asleep Sakura at the back of the shop on a soft sofa chair.
"I'll look after her," said Hinata. Sasuke headed toward Ino to see if he could help with anything.
"Anything stolen?" asked Sasuke.
"It doesn't look like it, just damage. I don't think they had enough time to steal anything," said Ino.
"Ino, how did you know about the mission," asked Sasuke.
"Oh, I am your point of contact. I wasn't going to say anything till tomorrow, but I needed to take the heat away from Hinata," said Ino. Sasuke looked at Hinata and Sakura. At that moment, he figured it out.
"Hinata is pregnant?" asked Sasuke
"Eehhh, please keep it to yourself. Naruto doesn't know yet," said Ino. Sasuke acknowledged the request and nodded to Ino.
"Why do you say Sakura isn't your woman," asked Ino. This surprised Sasuke, who took a moment to find the right words.
"Because I don't have the right to," said Sasuke. "I'm on a journey of redemption, and I need to make amends to her before I can call her mine," this surprised Ino.
"You are aware that every time you say that, it hurts Sakura," said Ino. A sense of realisation hits Sasuke. 'It hurts her,'. Sasuke looked at Sakura and felt a wave of pain, knowing how much pain he had caused her. He started looking around the room at all the flowers.
"Ino," said Sasuke. Ino responds with a 'hmm' sound. "Which flower represents forgiveness?"
"Huh!" said Ino. "um, there are the ones you are looking at right now, Lily of the valley."
"As I can remember, Lily of the valley is the best apology flower, if you don't know how to apologise to someone you hurt." Said Ino. She then continues. "This delicate white flower represents rebirth, and it's great for a broken relationship that you want to repair," Ino looked at Sasuke and gave him a smirk. "It can express the start of a new chapter in the relationship and leave the past behind."
Naruto and Sai return to the shop,
"We got them. They are in police custody," said Sai.
"Thanks, honey," said Ino. Sasuke looked at the asleep Sakura.
"I should go and take her home," said Sasuke.
"We got it under control over here," said Ino. Sasuke went over to Sakura and picked her up. Naruto noticed something in Sasuke's hand and was about to say something. Ino cut him off.
"Meet me before you go on your mission tomorrow," said Ino. Sasuke gave her a nod.
Sasuke, while carrying Sakura, left the flower shop and headed back home. Sasuke could hear Sakura making weird noises on the way home.
They arrive at Sakura's home, and Sasuke opens the door and locks it. He takes Sakura to her room and places her in her bed. He leaned down to brush the hair off her face and was about to get up. Sakura grabs his hand and pulls him down.
"Don't go," mutter Sakura. Sasuke was on top of her. He moved, so he was on her side.
"Go back to sleep, Sakura," said Sasuke. He lay there waiting for her to close her eyes again. Then he realises he still has the flowers in his hand. He got and went into the kitchen and found a vase to put the flowers in. he could hear Sakura in the other room. "Please don't go, I'll scream". 'Is she having a nightmare of that night,' wondered Sasuke? He sighed and went back to Sakura's room.
He lay next to her and held her.
"I'm not going anywhere, Sakura," he said. That night he slept next to Sakura.
