Sharing Stories - And Experiences Too

Back in the big empty room, Yuki and Saiki were the only people inside.

The door that they used to enter the room had sunk into the floor and the pair just watched it go.

'There goes the door,' Saiki remarked,

"I can always make another," Yuki said, "In the meantime, why don't we sit somewhere comfortable,"

Upon finishing her sentence, two armchairs and a coffee table manifested from the floor and Saiki stared at the sudden appearance of furniture.

Yuki was the first to sit down, and Saiki sat down on the opposite chair.

"So, should I be the one to start or do you want to go first?" Yuki inquired,

'You brought me here, so you go first' Saiki responded,

"Fair enough," Yuki said, "The power that I hold before you is called 'Alteration',"

'Alteration?' Saiki repeated,

"Yep, it may not seem much at first. But with the right amount of knowledge and time. It can be quite powerful compared to the powers you wield," Yuki openly stated,

'Don't push your luck. I'm stronger than you think,' Saiki sternly said,

"I'm not boasting my power, Saiki," Yuki said, "My point is that my ability to alter anything is very dependent on my Imagination. As far as I know, I can use this power on myself. For example,"

The coffee table in between them started to float from the floor and Saiki just started at the floating coffee table and then back at Yuki, 'Let me guess, you've altered yourself into becoming a psychic,'

"Pretty much," Yuki said, and drops the coffee table down, "But this is just the tip of the iceberg,"

Yuki then demonstrated several more of her tricks to Saiki.

The first was an alteration for super strength as she held up the coffee table on one hand and her armchair in the other.

The second is an alteration for intangibility. Yuki phases her right hand through the coffee table and even phases through Saiki's body before going to back to her armchair.

The third is an alteration for creation and restoration. Yuki creates a glass on hand, smashes it into pieces, and gathered the pieces onto a single piece of cloth. She then covered the glass pieces with the cloth, held all four ends of the cloth together, and shakes it a couple of times while holding on to the bottom.

As she shows a few tricks to Saiki, he began to feel quite interested in how her power works in her favor. If Yuki can imagine what she wants or need, she could alter herself and obtain such things with ease.

Once she finishes demonstrating her power, Yuki slumps down on her armchair and sighs once before doing some jazz hands to him, "Ta-da... Are you impressed now?"

'After seeing it all... Yes, I'm impressed,' Saiki said, 'In fact, you would become a threat should we have met on differently than today,'

"Well, I'm glad you see it that way," Yuki bluntly said, and kicks her feel up,

'Which reminds me, is it possible for you to alter yourself to remove powers?' Saiki inquired,

"Hold your horses there, Saiki. I showed my power to you, it only fair you show me yours as well," Yuki stated,

'Do I have to?' Saiki said,

"Come on, I show my power. It's only fair you show me yours," Yuki said,

'Fine,' Saiki reluctantly agreed,

Thus, Saiki reveals his powers to her as well as provides a summary of them. The basic ones were Telekinesis and Telepathy.

Next was X-ray vision, and Yuki teasingly covered herself much to Saiki's disdain. Then he explained his Clairvoyance, Precognition, and Invisibility ability.

Then he showed his Pyrokinesis, Teleportation, and a few other abilities that he possesses. He also added that his powers grow stronger as the years go by.

Once he finishes, Yuki claps her hands at the end of his demonstration, "That's some power, Saiki. In fact, you'd make yourself an even worse threat than I am,"

'Now tell me, can you alter yourself to remove powers?' Saiki questioned,

"I can... But then I would have to hold you 24/7," Yuki said,

'Hold me? Can't you just remove them entirely?' Saiki questioned,

"That isn't the case, Saiki," Yuki said, "I tried to do it before,"

'Tried?' Saiki repeated,

"You see... I'm not the only one with powers in this household," Yuki revealed,

'There's another?' Saiki curiously questioned,

"Yes," Yuki replied, then a wall with a dimensional one-way mirror appeared just meters to the right, "And she's right there,"

Saiki turns to the mirror and his eyes widen when he saw Yuki's sister on the other side of the mirror.

'Her?' Saiki mentioned,

"Yep, but her power is different than mine," Yuki said, and alters herself once more, "Try using your Psychometry on me,"

Saiki stands up from his armchair, went to her side, and placed his hand on her shoulder as he looked through the one-way mirror.

Moments later, he sees something in Yui. A white glowing orb hovering in mid-air and a line connecting between her and the orb.

'What is that?' Saiki questioned,

"That's her power, Saiki," Yuki said, "An entity that only she can see and use..."

'What are its capabilities?' Saiki questioned,

"A few of its abilities closely resemble to yours, except it has full control of them," Yuki explained, "But she can't use them all at the same time since it exhausts her physically and mentally,"

'But what does this have to do with your attempt in disabling powers?' Saiki questioned,

"I tried to use it on her once. I did manage to nullify her powers, but once I pulled my hand back, it came back a few seconds later," Yuki explained, "In conclusion, I can't take away the powers of people who are born with it,"

'Guess I was wrong to keep my hopes up with you. Though I can't let you hold me all the time since that would only drag a lot of attention,' Saiki said,

"You sure hate attention, don't you?" Yuki inquired, while the one-way mirror disappears

'I despise it,' Saiki remarked,

"And what about your relationship with Nendou?" Yuki questioned,

'He's a nuisance, and he keeps bothering me whenever he pleases. Not only that, but I also can't read his thoughts and that makes him invisible to me,' Saiki said,

"Really? You can read people's thoughts. But you can't read Nendou's?" Yuki said, "That's quite odd if you ask me,"

'Indeed, though I am quite curious. Could you somehow try to pull it off?' Saiki said, 'I hate him being left out of my radar,'

"I'll see what I can do," Yuki promised,

'Which reminds me, when did your powers first manifest?' Saiki questioned, 'Mine came two weeks after I was born,'

"Your powers manifested when you were two weeks old? Man, you're way earlier," Yuki commented with a bit of surprise in her tone, "Mine manifested when I was just four years old. Though I did make a huge mess when I almost played God with my power,"

'Played God? What happened?' Saiki asked,

"The power of Alternation combined with a Child's Imagination can be a dangerous combination," Yuki said with a sweat drop, "In the end, my parents stopped me before I reached the point of no return, and raises me went to avoid such a thing happening again,"

'Guess you're not the only one who was stopped by loving parents' Saiki commented,

"You too?" Yuki asked,

'Nothing like your scenario. But My Mother pretty much did most of the work when I was growing up. Kept me away from falling into the dark side,' Saiki admitted, 'As for my father... He's been there, but not always since he's heavily reliant on my powers these days,'

Yuki sighs at the term 'Father' and slouches on her chair with a bitter look on her face.

'What now?' Saiki questioned

"Oh, it's just that... I envy you for having a father around," Yuki admitted, "Even if what you say is true, you still have him around,"

'What about yours? Surely, he must be around for you,' Saiki inquired, 'Or maybe...'

"It's not that like that, Saiki," Yuki retorted, "He's just not around due to... circumstances back to where I was born,"

'Overseas, you mean,' Saiki said,

"Yeah," Yuki admitted and looked miserable, "I still miss him, though..."

Though Saiki doesn't really care for people's problems, Yuki had become a sole exception as they have some similarities in life. But having a parent absent in your life can affect children, and he wouldn't dare to try to imagine a life without his parents.

Even though they can be a bit of a bother sometimes...

'Changing the topic now, did you show your powers to people before or is it just me?' Saiki questioned,

"Huh? Oh, it's just you, Yui, my brother, and my parents," Yuki listed, "I don't like to show off my powers to anyone since that would only bring an awful lot of attention. You?"

'Never in a million years,' Saiki said,

"Guess we're on the same boat then," Yuki admitted,

'But you still show off,' Saiki remarked,

"Talents, yes. Powers, Never," Yuki pointed out, "But don't worry, I won't get close to you when a crowd gathers around me,"

'Good to know,' Saiki said, 'And can you turn off your power whenever you wish?'

"I've tried that too, doing so had caused me to suffer a concussion," Yuki answered, "And that's a scenario that I would want to avoid,"

'Then that means your powers are always active' Saiki assumed,

"Pretty much," Yuki said,

After that topic, the two soon heard a few loud knocks around them and Saiki wanders his head around the empty room.

'Where is that coming from?' Saiki questioned,

"We may be in a different room, but the door that connects from here to my room is still linked to one another," Yuki explained, "Therefore, someone can interact with my door even if we're in this room,"

'Interesting...' Saiki remarked, and stands up from his chair, 'Guess there's more to your powers than it meets the eye,'

"Thanks, but enough chatter. let's get going before this noise gets any louder," Yuki declared and the same door appears from the floor,

Yuki then opens the door, and it reveals her room from the other side. Saiki walks through the door and Yuki closes the door after she passes through it.

Then she alters her room back to its standard settings and opens the door to reveal Miyako standing just outside her mom.

"Yes, Mom?" Yuki asked,

"Kurumi is looking for her son and..." Miyako trails out as she spots Saiki inside her daughter's room, "Oh, did something happen why you two were here?"

"No, Mom. We just talked, that's all," Yuki said,

"Are you sure?" Miyako teasingly questioned,

"Yes, mom. Nothing out of line," Yuki said while trying to hide her embarrassment, "Now can you please tell me why Saiki's mom is looking for him?"

"Kurumi said that she'll be going home and asked me to look for her son," Miyako explained,

"I see," Yuki understood, then turns to Saiki, "Well, I guess we'll talk some other time then,"

'Sure,' Saiki said, and nods his head,

Saiki then leaves the room and Yuki follows behind as Miyako escorts him to the door. Once Kurumi and Saiki are together, the former gave a smile and said her goodbyes to her former senior.

Once she and Saiki left the house, Yuki and her mother stood just a few meters from the door. Then, the latter teases her daughter one last time, "Are you sure nothing happened between you two while I wasn't looking?"

Having reached her limit, Yuki snaps at her mother, "I told you that it wasn't like that!"

Miyako just giggled at her reaction and returned to her chores...

Meanwhile, in the living room. Yui was finishing her homework and she drops her pencil as soon as she answered the last question in her notebook.

She then puts her things inside her bag and sat down on the couch before turning on the television to watch her cartoon shows.

But as she paid attention to her show, her backpack suddenly hovered on its own and it hung itself onto a hook.

Yui glanced at her bag, and smiles as it was hanging by the hook, "Thank you,"

Yui would continue with her show feeling unbothered while her mother and sister went on with their daily activities in the house...

That is it for this chapter, Guys. As for what comes next, I might skip the part where Teruhashi tries to get Saiki to notice her since I'm not letting my character be all over the place.

But she will encounter Teruhashi in the future, and I'll try to make it as fun as possible.

Second, there are going to be a lot of Original Characters and Chapters. But rest assured, my character will 'alter' the canon plot as well. (Get it? Cause Yuki's power is Alternation and... Okay, now I'm just feeling a little corny today)

Third, Yui's powers are a reference to a game. Feel free to guess what it is. But if you do, you get a pat on the back!

And lastly, I plan to reveal more of Yuki's history as well as families such as the circumstances between her and her father, Yui's entity, and Miyako's history outside of Japan.

If you have questions, let me know and I will reply in the next chapter.

So, stay safe from the virus, and I'll see you all in the next one!

P.S.: I've decided that the average word count of these chapters is 2000 - 3000 words.
