Chapter 1: Krolia and Keith ~ Mother's Request
Deep within space; a planet occurs within a star that is formed by two black holes. Protecting a planet that is stationed with a Galra colony, known as the Blade of Marmora. Living peacefully with allies on their side, everything will be in order.
But something within the base has a different side of the story.
Within the base, in the control room. Two figures are scanning every planet from their supercomputer. Make sure that there's no upcoming uprise. One Blade Marmora member is a man who has raven-colored hair that has a style of a mullet, his light tan skin shimmering against his hair. He has a mark on his right cheek that is close to a mix of a scar and a Mark of a Galra. His violet eyes shimmered as a fierce warrior itself. He is wearing Marmorian armor as a fierce soldier as a recruit on the front line. Keith Kogane, a retired paladin of Voltron is now living in his heritage home. The Blade of Marmora. Along with him are his mother Krolia and his Cosmic Wolf, Cosmo. Krolia is a Senior Marmorian member, who once was a perfect spy of the outer field. She has violet and orchid hair mix, her skin and marks are purple for Galran heritage, and her bright orchid-violet eyes shine brightly against her yellow cornea.
Both Keith and Krolia are scanning carefully along with galaxies. Making sure that no threat would come to either the universe or to them. "Looks like that everything is well organized within the universe," Keith sighs in relief.
"It better be," his mother replied. "We don't want chaos to be thrown into the galaxy again."
Keith's eyes saddened, "Mom," Keith spoke.
Krolia turned to her son with her eyebrow arched.
"No one with the galaxy," Keith continued. "They haven't seen or heard from the Lions of Voltron for over a year now. Within the galaxy, it is all at peace."
"Perhaps," Krolia spoke. "But…"
Keith turned to his mother in curiosity.
"There will be a time that the galaxy will need Voltron again," Krolia continued. "By then, the Lions of Voltron will return on their own time. And choose their either original or new paladins to appear again."
To choose huh, Keith thought.
"Just try to have a little faith Keith," Krolia pleaded to her only son.
Keith sighed in deep thought, "I know that you are right," Keith rubbed the back of his neck.
Krolia's eyes saddened. She has been observing Keith for over half a year since the paladins have gone separate ways. Keith sure has happiness and has shown kindness toward others ever since he moved into the Blade of Marmora. Krolia is happy for her son, but she still sees sadness in his eyes. Suddenly, a thought has come into her mind. "Tell you what," Krolia crossed her arms. "Maybe you should take a break, or in other words. A vacation to be exact."
"Huh?" Keith jumped. A vacation? Keith wondered. Why do I ever get the feeling that I don't like where this is going?
"It is not like an everyday thing for a member to have a day off," Krolia explained.
"But you had a time off a long time ago," Keith spoke up. "Heck, twice if I counted right." Keith fully remembered that he encountered Krolia's memories about her past during their pass missions. Keith remembers seeing Krolia's past mission before he was born, and she has started to have a life back on Earth after he was born. And another memory of his is when he and Krolia, along with Cosmo. They spent two years together on the back of a Space whale.
"Keith," Krolia narrowed her eyes as *animated* sweat dropped upon her brow. "Those two memories are a lot of different sides of the story," Krolia still believes that those memories are still part of their missions. "But however," she started to change the subject. "If that happens, you will find someone that you could cherish for the rest of your life. Just like Lance have once had before this day."
Oh no, Keith thought nervously. When she has brought out Lance's name and the sentence 'cherish for someone' that…that could mean… Keith gulped for a bit. "Mom," Keith nearly mumbled his word. "Are you saying that…?"
Krolia smiled, "Well, if I've done my calculations correctly." She leans her head on her hand, "Back in Earthly times, I'm supposed to be a grandmother right about now."
"MOM!" Keith's face exploded to ruby red.
"What?" Krolia shrugged. "It's only a suggestion," Nearly cracked a smile on her face, knowing that she is right about Keith's feelings.
"But mom," Keith cooled down for a bit. "I won't be with anyone, because of the rules here of the blades. Plus, I'm not ready to search for that matter right now. Not just yet."
"I understand Keith," Krolia replied. "But before I get too worried about you. Please reconsider what I have said to you before it gets any worse." Keith looked away from his mother for a bit. Knowing that his mother doesn't want her only son to die as a virgin. All she wants to see is that he is to be happy about something instead of one thing.
Instead of arguing, Keith sighed, "I will think about it…and…I will let know my answer by then." Knowing how overprotective and worried his mother is. It's the only way to satisfy her.
Krolia smiled, "And I'll be waiting for that answer around that time Keith."
Keith smiled as his mother fully understood of his decision will be made in time. For each other's future and all.
