Everyone finally got out of the living room as the vines kept on growing and growing. Alan closed the doors and used a loose vine to tie up the knobs.
"Uh, Alan." said Madison.
Alan looked up and saw Sarah running.
"Sarah!" he shouted and starts chasing her.
Sarah was trying to escape as she was heading to the door, but she screamed as Alan caught her.
"Ooh, get your hands off me!" Sarah commanded.
"The game is not over yet, Sarah." said Alan as he was dragging her away from the exit.
"It is for me. You are not in the jungle anymore. Stop this! You don't treat people like this!"
Alan continues dragging Sarah but stopped at a moment as he looked at Madison.
"Would mind care to explain?" he asked as he looked at the necklace.
"I have a feeling you're gonna ask that." said Madison and showed them the necklace, "The necklace is magic. Just like the game but it only does good things when I'm wearing it."
"Does it have other powers like how it blasts beams at that... thing?" Peter asks as he looked at the window where the living room was and saw the vine moving.
"It does." said Madison.
"Why didn't you tell us?" Judy asks.
"Well, I thought of keeping it as a secret but when Peter was in trouble, I felt like I had to do something."
"You think your necklace could help out on whatever comes out?" Alan asks as he still holding onto Sarah.
"I guess." Madison spoke with an honest but unsure answer, and everyone starts walking.
Moment later, all five went inside the library as Alan put Sarah down in a seat and the rest sat down with game set on the table.
"Anybody up for iced tea? I'm gonna make some tea." said Sarah as she was about to leave but Alan stopped her as he stabbed the sword on the floor, making her to sit back down. "Alan, please. Last time I played this game, it ruined my life."
Alan chuckled. "It ruined your life?" he asked, "In the jungle you must wait, till the dice read five or eight."
"l was a little girl, Alan. You disappeared. And a bunch of bats surrounded me and chased me down the street. l was afraid. I'm sorry, Alan. No one believed me. l was all alone."
"So was I. For twenty-six years, Sarah."
"Me too."
"It's okay, Sarah. We're scared too." said Judy, "But if we finish the game, it'll all go away."
"What if l get stuck in the game?" Sarah asked in worry.
"You won't. Because l won't stop playing." said Alan.
"And neither will l.," said Judy.
"I won't either." said Peter as he brought his hand out in a fist.
"If the game wants me to play, I won't play." said Madison and gently place her hand on Peter's along with Judy and Alan except Sarah.
"Come on, Sarah." said Alan.
"Please?" Judy pleaded.
"Do it for us." said Madison.
Sarah wasn't so sure but knew she had no other choice. She closed her eyes and placed her hand on top of everyone's.
"l knew this was gonna be a bad day." she whispered.
"Hey, come on. We'll be fine. We just have to keep our heads." said Alan as everyone let go but Alan was holding onto Sarah's for comfort, "Roll with the punches."
Alan grabbed the dice and starts rolling as it land on the board with certain numbers. As the elephant token move, they all leaned to see the words on the glass and Alan read:
"A hunter from the darkest wild. Makes you feel just like a child." he said as he got up with fright.
"What is it?" Sarah asked.
"Van Pelt." he whispered until they heard a gunshot as it hit the globe.
"Get down! Everybody down!" Madison shouted as all four went under the table, but Alan starts running.
Madison looked up and saw the hunter himself. Van Pelt. He was continuing to shoot at Alan.
"You miserable coward! Come back and face me like a man!" the hunter shouted.
Madison quickly got up and grabbed a hold of his arm.
"You leave him alone!" she shouted until the hunter pushed her down to floor and walked off.
"You alright?" Sarah asked as she checked on her.
"I'm fine." she answered. She quickly got up and exit the library.
Down the hall, she saw Van Pelt about to shoot Alan but almost got hit by the sword that Alan threw.
"Not good enough, Sonny Jim. Coming, ready or not." said Van Pelt.
"Run Alan, run!" Madison shouted until Alan and the hunter were gone.
Sarah, Judy and Peter came by as they caught up with her.
"Where are they?" Sarah asked.
"They just left. Hope Alan be alright." said Madison.
"Let's go to the other room. See if they're there." said Sarah.
All four came to a room, and Madison and Sarah looked out at a small window.
"You think Alan made it?" Madison asked.
"I don't know. Even if Alan gets out of this, the same kind of thing's gonna happen over and over again. When you carry around so much anger, it attracts a lot of negative energy. And things happen, like ending up in the jungle. That was no accident. There are no accidents." said Sarah.
"Whose turn, is it?" a voice asked.
Everyone turned and sigh with relief to Alan alive.
"It's my turn." Judy answered.
"Really? Great."
"You might have told us there was a man in there with a rifle that hunts people." said Sarah
"Well, I didn't know, okay? It's just the roll of the dice." said Alan.
"ls he the reason you didn't wanna play?" Judy mocked as she walked away.
"Judy!" Madison spoke in hushed tone.
Sarah couldn't believe what she just heard and looked at Alan.
"You didn't wanna play either Mr. We-Started-Something-26-Years-Ago- And-Now-We-Gotta-Finish-It?" she asked as everyone were heading back to the library.
"What's the deal with you and this guy?" Sarah asked as they all came into the library. The kids and Madison sat down at the table while Alan and Sarah argued.
"He's a hunter. He kills things. Right now, he wants to hunt me and kill me."
"Why you?"
"Why me? l don't know. Everything about me he finds offensive. You think it'd be a waste of his time. Maybe he needs something for his wall."
Judy looked at Madison and Peter as they kept arguing.
"It's your turn." said Peter.
Judy was about to take the dice but look back at the two.
"You ever thought about sitting down and talking about your differences?" Sarah asked.
"What, are you crazy? The man has a gun."
"Don't ever call me crazy, Alan. Ever. Cause everyone in this town has called me crazy ever since l told the cops you were sucked into a board game."
"Maybe I should roll." said Judy.
"Yeah." said Peter.
"I think you should." said Madison
"You know what it's like to be known as the little girl who saw Alan Parrish murdered? You think anybody showed up at my 14th birthday party?" Sarah asked as she and Alan were still arguing.
"Hello, I'm rolling now. I'm gonna roll." Judy spoke to them.
"Billy who?" Sarah asked as she looked at Alan.
" Are you an owl? Dig into your higher consciousness and find the memory of your old boyfriend."
"Here, just roll." said Peter as he handed her the dice.
"Just pay no attention to them arguing." said Madison.
"The kid who stole your bicycle?" Sarah asked.
"No, the kid who took you to movies." said Alan.
Judy rolled the dice and landed a five and a one on the board, the crocodile token moved six spaces. She leaned towards the game and read something that was on the glass.
"Don't be fooled. It isn't thunder. Staying put would be a blunder."
Suddenly, Madison and the kids felt the floor vibrating and shaking and heard something on coming from behind the bookcase. Alan and Sarah continued bickering until Alan stopped for a moment.
"Do you feel that?" he asked, "Listen."
Everything was quiet but yet they heard something pounding. Alan went close to the bookcase and saw a small statue on the shelf fell and broke into pieces on the ground. Books were now falling out of the shelf and Madison's heart was pounding.
"Alan..." she tries to speak until Alan turned to face everyone.
"Run! It's a stampede!" he shouted.
Everyone quickly ran out of the library while Alan quickly grabbed the game.
Madison could hear the sound of crashing and pounding as she knew a lot of animals were behind her.
"Don't look back!" Alan yelled and Sarah scream as she saw the animals.
"Quick in the living room!" said Madison as she and Judy went to the other room along with the others.
They all turned and saw rhinos, elephants, and zebras running, and pelicans were flying. Madison was in awe to see so many animals in a group but also very dangerous in a stampede.
As all of the animals were gone that crashed through a wall, a pelican landed in front of them and the game.
"Hah!" Alan shouted, trying to scare it.
"Shoo! Shoo!" Madison screamed until she saw it grabbed the game, "No!"
"Not the game!" Alan cried out as she and Madison tried to grab but it was too late, the pelican flew off somewhere.
"Stupid bird!" Madison cried out.
"Why didn't you grab the game, Peter?" Alan shouted as he ran off to chase it. Peter felt offense.
"Ignore him, honey. He's a Libra." said Sarah and then shout to Alan, "Where are you going?"
"He'll head for water!" he hollered as he was off.
"We better follow him." said Madison.
"Here we go. Come on." said Sarah as three start leaving.
Madison heard the phone ring and Judy answered it. She remembered it was Nora calling but Judy made an excuse. While they were running, Judy quickly ran to catch them up but what they didn't know was that the vine was growing out of the house.
