Chapter 4: The Escape Fight

Within the hanger, the Ca' Raptor Demon has finally made it. Keith struggled a bit, but the green Ca' Raptor held Keith tightly. "Better get the cage ready," said the green Ca' Raptor ordered.
"Hmph?" Keith nearly jumped. Cage? Keith wondered.
"Once we get him in," the green Ca' Raptor began. "We'll take off."
"Right," the red Ca' Raptor nodded.
"Not without a fight, you are not!" A familiar growl spoke from behind them. Both Ca' Raptor turned around and saw the similar Galra from before. Keith lifts his upper art again.
"Mmph!" Keith shouts through his gag. Seeing his mother, Krolia is in full rage right now.
Krolia loudly growls at the Ca' Raptor Demons.
"This Galra woman is very stubborn," the red Ca' Raptor hissed.
"She seems to be." The green Ca' Raptor nodded.
"It's started to annoy me," the red Ca' Raptor hissed deeply.
"You have no idea," the green Ca' Raptor calmly sighed. "Here," the green Ca' Raptor slipped Keith down from his right shoulder. The red Ca' Raptor caught Keith and held him onto his left shoulder. "Get the boy into the cage and get started to take off."
"What about you?" the red Ca' Raptor asked.
"I'll take care of this Miss Delay over there," the green Ca' Raptor hissed. "I'll be right behind you once I'm done."
"Alright," the red Ca' Raptor replied as it and Keith are entering their escape pod.
"Nu-mph!" Keith struggled as the red Ca' Raptor enters the ship.
Krolia growled, "Don't you dare," she charged as she swings her blade. Suddenly, the green Ca' Raptor has blocked her attack.
"Oh, but we do dare." The green Ca' Raptor chuckled.
Krolia snarled as she and the green Ca' Raptor began to battle.
While the green Ca' Raptor is battling against Keith's mother, Krolia. The red Ca' Raptor has entered into the escape pod, before turning it on. The red Ca' Raptor opened a dog kennel cage door and threw Keith inside. "Mmooph!" Keith landed hard on his side. Suddenly, the red Ca' Raptor closed the cage and locked it. Keith slowly went to his knees and glared at his captor.
"Now that's done," the red Ca' Raptor spoke. "I better get this thing ready to launch," he walked towards the bridge and started to turn it on.

Before the engine even started, Keith still glares at the red captor. Suddenly, he heard swords clashing outside of the escape pod. Keith looked through the bars of the cage, he saw his mother, Krolia. Is fighting against the other captor.
A little bit that Keith has watched his mother battling, Keith struggle through his bounds to get free. Hoping that he could get out in time to help his mother.

Outside of the escape pod, Krolia continues to battle against the green Ca' Raptor. She heaved with all of her might as she moves her blade swiftly against the Ca' Raptor Demons' blade. Okay, Krolia thought. The Ca' Raptor Demon is faster than I used to remember, Krolia growled wildly as she clashes her blade once again. Before she could swing it for a second time, the green Ca' Raptor has suddenly disappeared. Krolia growled. Now, where did he…? Krolia wondered. Suddenly, she heard a sound. Krolia turned and saw the engine of the escape pod has fully turned on. Oh no, she gasped. The ship is about to take off. In a panic, she began to run towards it. I've got to… suddenly, a painful attack has slashed her left side. "Uh…" Krolia gasped in pain as she dropped her blade.
Within the cage, Keith's eyes widen in horror. Watching the important woman of his life, the one that has given him life. His mother is falling to the ground. "Mmmmph!" Keith called out to her as he watched his mother fully collapse to the floor.

While Krolia is on the floor, she is motionless and the left side of her hip towards her abdomen. Her blood slowly paints the floor. Suddenly, a loud chuckle is sounded right next to her. "That will teach you a lesson," the green Ca' Raptor stands before her as he put his blade up. "For being a delay," he chuckled in relief.
"Partner," the red Ca' Raptor called out. "The members are approaching, we got to go."
"Right," the green Ca' Raptor nodded. Before he could move, he felt something has grabbed his right ankle. He looked down and saw a hand holding his ankle. His eyes traveled from the hand to the arm and towards the body that was grabbing him. All at once, he realized something a pair of eyes are staring at him. "What?!" He jumped as he saw those pair of eyes are galran eyes. And they are staring at him in pain. "Your…you're still alive?" This Galra, he thought. Something is keeping her going to live, instead of death. But what?
"…please…" Krolia's voice was weak but almost strong enough to be heard. "…please…let him go…if…if there's anything…that you…want from him…please…take me…instead…"
"Why?" the green Ca' Raptor hissed. "Why should a Galra? Such as you to say such words?" She better have a good reason before… he thought as he listened.
"…because…" Krolia began, "…he's…he is…my son…"
The green Ca' Raptor jumped in shock. Her son? His eyes widened. So that's why she's determined. He stares blankly at Krolia. She...she just wants her cub back.
"…please…let him go…and…take me…instead…please…" the green Ca' Raptor looked at the cage where Keith was. Staring in horror while his mother is down. All at once, the green Ca' Raptor has started to see the resemblance that is upon both of their faces.
The green Ca' Raptor sighed as he turned to Krolia, "Once we're done with him," he spoke in a pitiful voice. "I assure you, that you and your son will see each other again. Till then," he shakes her hand off his ankle.
Krolia cried out in pain.
"I shall spare your life, to see that day." The green Ca' Raptor walked away from Krolia.
"…n-no…" her left hand stretched out, towards the escape pod. "…Keith…"
"Mmmph!" Keith called out through his gag as the green Ca' Raptor entered the escape pod.
"Let's go," the green Ca' Raptor ordered.
"Right," the red Ca' Raptor replied as he pushes a button.
Before the ship is taking off, the door of the escape pod has starting to close. "Mmmph!" Keith cried out as tears are streaming down his cheeks. "Mmmph!" suddenly, he lost the view of his mother once the door has fully closed. Mom... Keith tries to calm himself down as he leans against the cage. Please...please be okay, Keith prayed as his tears continues to fall. He suddenly heard the ship has taken off from the hanger.

Outside of the ship, Krolia tries to move. But her body slowly weakened as she bleeds out. "…Keith…" Krolia's world started to blacken. "…uh…Keith…" suddenly, her world has blackened out. All that she heard is the engine fading from the distance. All at once, it has become absolutely quiet.
