Inside the store, everyone were in panicked and grabbing a few things off the shelves and floors. Madison, Sarah, Peter, and Judy all walked together to find the game. Through every aisle of the store, they kept on looking to see if Van Pelt were around until they saw the game on the counter.
"There it is." said Judy.
"Wait here." said Sarah as she was about to get the game, but Madison stopped her.
"Wait a minute, Sarah. It could be a trap. I don't see the hunter anywhere." she said to her.
"How can you possibly know that Maddie?"
"I just do. Look we'll get the game together." she suggested and Sarah nods.
They slowly walked towards the game but as they quickly got there and grabbed it, Van Pelt popped out and grabbed Sarah's arm.
"Gotcha, girlies." he spoke.
"No." Sarah tried to get away but the grip was strong.
"Let her go!" Madison growled as she was trying to break Sarah free, but the hunter ignores her.
"When Alan hears of your predicaments, he'll come."
"Yeah, right."
"You know, he doesn't even know we're here. So, this isn't gonna work. Your plan's ruined. We're gonna get going." said Sarah as the two were about to leave but Van Pelt blasts some bullets from his gun to the ceiling. Causing the two to scream.
The entire people in the store heard the gunshots and flee.
"Don't move or I'll blow your blinking brains out!" Van Pelt screamed.
"Okay. Okay." said Sarah.
"Call the cops." the woman in the store shouted.
Madison tries to move but saw Peter coming towards the hunter.
"That should do the trick, don't you think?" Van Pelt as he looked at Sarah.
"Oh, yeah." Sarah replied softly.
Suddenly, Peter crept behind Van Pelt and bit his leg. The hunter screamed in pain that cause to let go of Sarah and Madison. The two started to flee as Sarah quickly grabbed the game and ran. Judy runs in, grabs the price scanner then points it at Van Pelt's eyes.
"Price check!" she screamed.
The hunter groan on bright red light and the display says, 'No Sale.'
"Judy come on!" Madison shouted and Judy ran off.
Madison and Sarah kept on running until they heard a gunshot. They turned around and saw the Van Pelt pointing the gun.
"Let's split up." said Madison as she whispers to Sarah.
"Right." said Sarah.
The two started to split in different directions but Van Pelt was chasing after Sarah, for she has the game in her hands.
Madison kept on running but still hear the gunshots until she bumped into Sarah.
"Give me the game. Quick!" said Madison.
Sarah quickly gave her the game and Madison starts running again. She kept running but saw Peter pulling a boat with a mannequin. She only knew one thing; he's setting a trap for Van Pelt.
Van Pelt tries to shoot at Madison but still missed again and keeps following her. Madison kept on running but as she saw a shopping cart. She quickly put it in the cart and push it with her. While kept on pushing, she saw Sarah again.
"Sarah! Here!" she hollered and pushes the cart away from her, towards Sarah.
Sarah managed to grab the shopping cart and runs off with it while Madison was catching her breath from running.
Sarah kept on running with the shopping cart to keep the game away from Van Pelt.
"Judy!" she hollered and passes the cart to the girl while Peter was dragging two scuba tanks with him until he saw Madison.
"Maddie! I need your help!" he spoke.
Madison looked at the boy as he was still working on the trap. Makes her think like how Kevin did in the Home Alone movies.
"Alright, Peter." she said and help him with the scuba tanks.
Once Madison helped him set the trap, at the sports aisle, Peter tied the scuba tanks on the boat and then looked at her.
"Stay here. I'll be right back." he said and then ran off.
"Where are you going?"
"To put the last touch!" he said.
Madison waited for him to come back but then saw him again from the distance as he was pouring the laundry detergent on the floor and then ran back.
"Okay. Now we wait for him to come." said Madison as she saw him return.
"And this is when I set the trap off."
"Right." she said until he saw Van Pelt, "Here he comes. Get ready, Peter."
"I was born ready."
They saw Van Pelt coming back until he starts to slip on the detergent and trying not to fall. When he finally kept his balance, Van Pelt notices Peter and Madison further away from where he's standing, wondering what they're doing.
"Ready, Peter?" Madison asked.
"Ready." he answered as he put his helmet down.
Van Pelt's eyes starting to grow wide.
"Fire!" Madison commanded.
Peter grunts as he pulls the chain to set the weights on the ends of the scuba tank and sends the boat towards Van Pelt. He got shoved as he was now on the boat, looked up to see how far they are and then screamed until he crashed into a wall.
The group witness what they saw as they were together but right now, they can't watch that long.
"Here's the game." said Judy as she handed it to Sarah.
"Come on. Get outta here." she said and all four kept running.
As the four kept running and running, they heard a gunshot that was aiming at the tires. Another gunshot hit and the tires were loose, head towards them.
"Look out, everyone!" Madison screamed.
All four tried to run from the tires but they got tripped by them and fell to the ground. Madison groaned, feeling her bottom sore from the fell.
"Ow... Anyone alright?" she asked to the others.
"Yeah..." Sarah replied with a groan.
Judy was about to get up until she saw Van Pelt. With a small gasp, she got close with Sarah in fright and Madison quickly scoot in front of the two to protect them.
"Stop your cringing, women. I could have shot you two at any moment." he said.
"Then why didn't you?" Sarah asked as she was protecting Judy.
"You didn't roll the dice, Alan did."
Secretly, Madison remembered from the beginning of the movie in 1969 that Sarah did roll the dice before Alan and realizing Van Pelt can only hunt the player, who rolled the dice first. Sarah would've been the one Van Pelt is after and Madison wouldn't let it happen if she says nothing to him.
"He should be here any moment." he said.
Then there a crashing sound like a car has come through the store glass. Madison looked at the direction to where Van Pelt was looking and heard like shelves tumbling over like a domino until she saw the last shelf which was carrying cans of paint. She saw it going straight towards the hunter and the cans tumbled over him.
"Ouch. That's gotta hurt." Madison said to herself.
Sarah got up and found the game, buried in the paint cans before picking it up.
"Sarah!" a voice shouted. Everyone looked up and saw it was Alan as squeezed through the gap from the other aisle.
"Alan! We're glad to see you." said Madison as she smiled.
"Are you alright? Is everyone alright?" he asked.
"Yes." Sarah replied.
"We're all alright." Madison answered.
"Where's Peter?"
"I'm here." he answered.
Alan took one look at Peter and was shocked to see him turning into a monkey. Knew what the game has done to him.
"Oh great."
"We better go quickly." said Madison.
"Right. Let's go. Come on." he said, and everyone quickly made a run out of the store.
