Chapter 8: The Trade

While Keith has been dragged through the hallway, Keith keeps on looking side to side as they passed by. The hallway is covered in deep red with a mix of gray. I don't like this, Keith thought as his gut is feeling about something while he still been dragged and walking and passing by any doors that they go to. Keith tries to keep his guard up as they continue to walk.
While Phobos continued dragging, Keith has started to notice that the hallway has started to get wider and wider. Suddenly, Nephrite has led both Keith and his captors to the bridge of the ship. At the mid-center of the bridge, they have fully stopped. "On your knees kid," Thanatos ordered as he and Phobos forced Keith to be on his knees.
"Mph," Keith struggled as he has brought down to his knees. Suddenly, Phobos and Thanatos let's go of Keith and stepped away from him. In front of Keith, Nephrite kneeled.
"Mistress," Nephrite bowed his head. "The package is here."
"Excellent," a female voice has whispered throughout the bridge.
Keith jumped as he has stated to look around. Suddenly, he saw something has swiftly moved throughout the bridge. Within a tick, a dark shadowy mass has appeared right before them. "Mph?" Keith raised a brow. What? Keith wondered. A shadow? Keith tried to examine the shadow. But all he can see that it has an upper body of a woman, flowing hair, arm, hand, and glowing yellow eyes. He cannot see the face or the rest of the body. All that he can see is a shadow with no legs or feet. Moving and floating all around them. Suddenly, Keith has started to get the picture of a genie in the bottle similarity from his prospective. But never get the reason to know why.
"Well done for bringing the package here," the shadow female voice spoke. "Here as it is safe and unharmed. And I have gotten constantly tiring of worrying about now."
"Like wise, ma'am." Thanatos spoke.
"Indeed, we have brought him unharmed to you." Phobos added, "As promised."
Keith turned to Phobos. So, she's the one who hired these guys? Keith thought. But…but I thought…
"Excellent," the female voice has brought out a smile. "Now, for my part of the promise." The female shadow snapped her fingers, suddenly, a door on the left has swung open. As the door opened, two teenaged boys and a girl has come forth with something in the girls' arms. As Keith looked, he saw a round, sphere shape that is been carrying carefully in the girls' arms. Suddenly, it has hit him.
What? Keith raised an eyebrow. An egg? Why would they trade me for an egg? As Keith watched the teenaged kids walked towards Phobos, the girl stood in front of him.
"As too that I have promised," the shadow figure woman has spoken. "There has no harm done that have come upon to your unborn sibling."
"Mph?!" Keith nearly jumped within his bonds. Sibling? Keith wondered. Before he knew it, the teens grabbed Keith and forced him to get onto his feet. Keith struggled as they dragged Keith away from Phobos and Thanatos. Keith watched the girl give the egg to Phobos.
"Now the trade has been done," Phobos spoke. "We will now go on to our separate ways."
"Indeed, we are." The female shadow nodded.
"What about the boy?" Thanatos nodded towards Keith.
"We will take care of him," the female shadow replied. "We will treat him as if he was one of our own family, so there is no need to worry about."
"My apologies" Thanatos spoke as he bowed. "Curiosity has got the best of me."
"Apology accepted," the female shadow bowed in return. "Nephrite," the shadow turned to him. "Escort our guests back to their pod, and don't even dare to think about to break the second promised that we have made with them."
Nephrite nearly jumped.
"Do I make myself clear, Nephrite?" the female shadow hissed.
Hesitantly, Nephrite lowered his head. "Yes, mother."
"Good," the female shadow hummed.
Keith raised an eyebrow, as he watched Nephrite stood up and walked towards Phobos and Thanatos.
"Follow me," Nephrite has started to lead Phobos and Thanatos back to the hanger.
Keith struggled as he watched them passed through the doors and disappeared into the blood-red, shadowy hallway.

While Nephrite, Phobos and Thanatos are gone. Keith continues to struggle but he soon realized how strong the teenaged boys really are. What are these two made of? Keith wondered. Rocks? Or something like that? Before anything, the teenaged boys forced Keith to turn to the shadowy figure.
"What do you want us to do with this one, Mistress?" the teenage boy on Keith's right asked.
"Just get him ready for tonight and bring into my lab," the female woman hissed. "I have special plans for him around that time."
"Yes mistress," the teenaged boys replied as they held a tight grip on Keith.
"Let's go," the teenaged boy on Keith's left ordered as both has started to drag Keith.
"Mph umph!" Keith struggled with his might as he has started to be dragged away once again. Knowing that the boys are leading him out of the bridge.
The shadowy woman figure giggled within the sight that she like to see. "I will see you tonight, fellow blade." Suddenly, she has disappeared. Without a trace.
Within the hallway, Keith continues to struggle. But within the feeling of his gut, he doesn't like the feeling of what it is going to come.
