Answers, Explanations, and Fun Things
Yeah, Sona is really in for a hard time, especially considering a lot of the things that will take place this chapter. It will be told through flashbacks, bouncing from present day, which is a few days after the three go to school. The flashbacks will just be random little things, like interactions with Sona and his girls.
It is Lucius Tiberius's sword, albeit an alternate one, but still his. It will have some pretty cool functions, partially because Flora is like an overeager puppy who wants to please Shirou. Sacred Gears are known to react to the wishes of the wielder, and Florent and Flora are now tied to his reality marble. Flora, who is a goddess, who can make miracles happen.
I did put Mordred in there to kind of show how she was changing, but also to show how smart she can be, considering she led a successful rebellion against Arturia. She is still all about going all in, something she passed to Shirou a bit, hence Sona having to try and pick up the pieces for her newly acquired fiancee.
Shirou in Vanadis does know magecraft, but he wasn't a part of any kind of organization. He did help a few of them when they came to a battlefield to hunt targets down, but he mainly focused on helping people as a mercenary who wandered around when things got really bad. More will be explained when I start it, which will be happening soon. As for his romance options, I want to keep the original polygamy route, since in the multi crossover I did a few chapters back, he showed he had access to two of the vanadis weapons. He has those through a special NP known as "affection of the war maidens". It allows him to use those weapons. So yeah, he'll have multiple. I will say it won't be completely the same, since Shirou is different from Tigre. Some meetings will happen earlier and such. Also, yes, he was married to Ayako, who will be featured in plenty of flashbacks.
No teaser this time around. Focusing on writing a chapter for one of the crossovers. Though, I am pretty happy with the way some of the teasers have been received.
This chapter, we see the side to Shirou that he falls into when he ends up enjoying himself and when he starts to panic. (The side he inherited from Archer, Mordred, and even Cu.) The new character was for the sole purpose of causing Shirou to sweat, considering what happens. She's a bit extreme, then again, its High School DxD, everyones a bit much sometimes.
Now, once again, on to the story.
Chapter 8
Shirou could be seen jumping from rooftop to rooftop, his black Kuoh jacket and red hoodie had the sleeves rolled up, his rune enhanced gloves were on both hands. Admittedly, Shirou felt a bit too much like Bazett at the moment, though he figured that was the least of his worries. "Get back here! Face me like a man."
"No thanks, I'm not a fan of solicitors." He said as he jumped to another roof, heading for the church. A sword flew out of no where and nearly cut his arm. "Hey watch it, I just bought this!" He stopped and dodged a punch thrown at his head, countering with his own punch to the ribs of the giant man chasing him, sending him flying into a nearby wall.
"Ha, I actually felt that. You are someone worthy of joining us." The grey haired man said. Shirou idly noted that he was one of the biggest people he's seen that wasn't a summoned servant. 'Those explosions of his are a bit annoying though.'
"Seen that movie already, I know how it ends. No, thanks." He scoffed. His eyes widened as he ducked a spear attempting to swipe his head off. He let out a small growl, "And I was having such a good day today." Another spear came forward, attempting to skewer him. He quickly dodged, not allowing it to touch him. He looked around, realizing he was on top of an abandoned warehouse, before punching the ground right in front of him. The ground gave way, causing the purple haired girl to fall through. "Thank you, Bazett."
He grabbed two of his black key handles from his sling bag, throwing them into the shadow of the grey haired man. Suddenly, a sword point came at him from the back. He quickly called Florent to his hands, spinning around and knocking the sword off course, only for another sword to come swiping at him. He leaned backwards, extending his foot forwards to kick his assailant, who wasn't expecting his quick reflexes, nor the power he generated from his rune enhanced shoes.
She was sent flying into another building. He winced, before letting out a groan. "I'm sure Sona will forgive me for that." He said offhandedly. He quickly began to run towards his destination again. He wasn't lying about having a good day today, though honestly, when compared to the past few days, that wasn't really a hard thing to do.
A few days ago, Shirou and the girls had just finished the placement tests. Admittedly, the tests weren't to tough, even considering he was from a different world. Though, something was starting to bother him. Some members of the student council had stares that lingered a bit too long. He wondered if it was because they could sense Florent within him, but noticed that their looks were more filled with awe, and jealousy from a certain blonde haired kid.
He decided he wasn't going to worry about. He didn't want Shirone and Asia to start worrying over nothing. They had just walked out the front gates when Shirou felt another gaze on him, though this one was a bit different. Considering it was accompanied by a sweet smell that reminded him of Sakura's Rider, he felt he should at least see who it was.
He followed the direction the smell came from and noticed a girl standing in front of window of an old looking building. She was certainly beautiful, with long, crimson hair, and impressive 'assets'. Shirou then thought she was more like rider than he thought, though she seemed to be more impressive. Not that Shirou really cared about that kind of thing.
Shirou simply gave her a small wave and smile before continuing to walk with Asia and Shirone. He decided to take the two somewhere. Considering the two girls seemed to be in a great mood, he decided to take them to an ice cream shop. A quick guestion and answer, and the three were off. Shirone once again riding on top of Shirou's shoulders.
As the three were on the way there, a woman had walked by. She had purple hair and red eyes. Shirou took note of her unusual clothes before shaking his head slightly. As they walked by each, a small smirk could be seen on the girl's face. Shirou noted that she smelled different than most humans he had met so far.
He kept his guard up, but nothing happened after she passed by him. It was a strange experience for him at the time. Though, now he figured he found out what she was doing. He continued running towards the church. Normally, it wouldn't be a place he would consider fighting in, but it was the only place he knew of that Sona wouldn't get mad at him for destroying on accident.
As he landed on the ground and began to run up the steps to the top of the hill, he felt a chill run up his spine. He turned his head as he continued running and saw the woman with purple hair. "Man, she is relentless. Very well, a head to head confrontation in front of the church then." He began leaping up the steps with enhanced steps, until he reached the top. He stopped at the steps of the church and turned around.
He saw her walking up the steps, until she finally reached the same solid ground as him. "You know, it's considered rude to just attack someone without letting them know the reason."
"Hmm,..." The girl simply spun her spears in her hands until she stabbed them both into the ground. She put one hand underneath her elbow, while her other hand came up to cup her chin in a thinking pose. The pose actually making Shirou's eyebrow twitch a bit. "We were supposed to scout your abilities, I think." She said with a wide smile on her face, though it didn't match the look in her eyes.
"I see, well, I think you and the dynamic duo can leave now. I already put the two of them through walls and you through a roof." He honestly didn't know what he was expecting, but he sure wasn't expecting her to start giggling. That didn't bode well for him at all.
"Oh, did I say 'we'? I meant the two of them, I tagged along because I was looking for someone, and here you are, I think." She said, once again, keeping that same sweet smile on her face. Her words set Shirou on edge, considering he didn't really have anything the girl could want. Besides maybe Florent, but no one knew he had it before today.
"Well, I hate to say it, but I doubt I have anything you want. Considering I'm just someone who wishes to live a normal slow life." He said with a smile. 'Okay, not technically a lie, but I do know thats no longer in the cards for me anymore. Tch, stupid chess match, I knew something fishy was going on with it.' Or so he was telling himself.
"Oh, don't say that, you see, you are right that you don't technically have what I want. What I want, is you, I think." Shirou opened his mouth to retort, but nothing came.
'Okay, I wasn't expecting that.' "Sorry lady, your a few days too late, already got myself a betrothed." 'I feel like a jerk using that as an excuse when I didn't really buy it when I heard it.' Shirou's eyes narrowed as the girl's expression didn't change in the slightest.
"Hmm, I see, but you don't seem to understand, what I want is for you to fight me. No matter what happens, I plan on getting that fight, I think." Shirou realized the girl was odd. He wondered who she was and why she wanted to fight him so bad. "So, are you going to get ready? Or are you just going to let me beat you to a pulp?"
She sounded way to happy when she said that. Though, Shirou did secretly want to fight someone who could keep up. The single paired winged fallen angels he faced so far were nothing special. The devils that he knew had some power, were all on friendly terms with him. One lived with him, while the other insisted they were engaged. He let out a sigh at that thought. 'Medea's going to kill me if she ever finds out how stupid I've been lately.' "Fine, at least tell me who you are. I still want to know who attacked me."
He didn't think her smile could get any scarier, but he was wrong. The smile she showed him after saying that sent a shiver down his spine. "Yes, very well. We are a part of the Hero Faction of the Khaos Brigade. Though, the heroes I've met so far haven't caught my interest. Too many rely on their sacred gears, especially the leader. Though, I suppose it was worth putting up with it. Most of us are reincarnations or descendants of heroes."
Shirou was suddenly interested in her words. If they were reincarnated, then that meant there was no throne of heroes here. Interesting. She continued, "The blonde sword girl is Jeanne and the brute who likes to blow things up is Heracles." Shirou actually brought a hand to his mouth to stop himself from laughing. That guy was supposed to be Heracles? The girl he understood slightly, she was pretty good. But Heracles? He was doing nothing but trying to punch him or blow him up.
Where was the sword skill, the legendary bow skills, the pelt of the Nemean Lion. Heck, Shirou put him into a wall earlier. He let out a disappointed sigh. He hoped the other heroes weren't as disappointing. Though that brought a question to mind, who was she? "I see you think the same as I do. You are unlike the others. You are no reincarnation. You are a modern day hero. Exactly the type of person I was looking for. My name, is Scathach."
'Oh, come on.' Shirou immediately began to feel like he was ill equipped to face this opponent. He was glad he dodged those spears earlier. She seemed to be glad that Shirou was a bit shocked. 'Okay, so if she is Scathach, then that means she must have been killed in this world. Which means she can be killed again.' Shirou closed his eyes, before letting out a deep breath. His eyes opened up with determination.
"I am Shirou Emiya-Von Einzbern, and I will gladly face you." Shirou knew this was going to be an extra addition into the list of the stupid things he's done, but he'd be lying if he said he didn't miss fighting against real heroes. Even if he only managed to beat two by himself. Heracles was won by the thinnest of margins, and he had Medea reinforcing him to the level of a servant.
Her smile remained, but her eyes were sharp. Rather than grab her spears, she simply charged forward. Shirou responded in kind, both readying a punch to throw.
After finally managing to buy the uniforms for Asia and Shirone, and getting his own, the three were finally ready to head to school for the first time. Well, first time for them. It was for that reason that he was a bit worried. Though, he supposed that they both would have no trouble with making friends.
The three walked to the gates of the school, Shirone on her usual spot on his shoulders eating candy. "Shirou, isn't this exciting? I always wanted to go to school and to meet other people my age. Do you think they'll like us? Oh, I'm nervous now, I'm not sure if I'm ready for this." Asia said quickly, obviously letting her nerves get to her. Shirou just lightly smiled at her, putting a hand on her head.
"I wouldn't worry about it too much, Asia. You and Shirone will do just fine. Just be yourselves and I'm sure you'll make friends with your whole class. If you start to feel overwhelmed, just remember God is always there for you, and that Shirone and me aren't that far away." He wasn't too worried about Asia, or Shirone, he was pretty sure by the end of the day, they'd both most likely have fan clubs or something.
Asia's face slightly reddened, before nodding once. Shirou only smiled, before letting out a small chuckle. "What about you, Shirone? You worried at all?" He said as he tapped her foot.
"As long as Shirou and Asia are there, I'm okay." She spoke in her usual tone. Honestly, he was the least worried about her. Even with her quiet nature, it wouldn't be hard for her to interact with anyone. Though, he was a bit worried about anyone who got on her bad side. She tapped the top of his head, causing Shirou to reach into his hoodie jacket underneath his black jacket uniform to retrieve a lollipop. He promptly unwrapped it before lifting it up, letting her take it.
"Well, there you have it, Asia. As Shirone said, as long as we're all together, it'll turn out just fine." Shirou gave her a big smile, which Asia returned. Obviously feeling much better. Just as they reached the gate, a girl with knee length, black hair and had two different colored eyes, one violet and one brown. Her glasses made him think of Souna a bit.
"Excuse me, Emiya, I'm afraid that the student council present would like to speak to you before you head to class today." Shirou quirked an eyebrow at her. "She claimed it was for an important matter." Shirou let out a sigh, signaling Shirone to hop off. After reassuring Asia and Shirone that it was probably about classes, he headed to the student council room.
Punch after punch, kick after kick, and counter after counter, the two were involved in a dance of violence. Neither managing to land a blow on the other. A right hook from Shirou was quickly ducked under, followed by Scathach throwing an uppercut at his chin. Shirou quickly spun, following his momentum to dodge the uppercut, while also throwing a spinning back hand. Scathach leaned back, just barely avoiding the blow, before winding a straight and throwing it towards Shirou.
He quickly responded in kind, both managing to land a clean hit on each other, blasting each other back. Shirou quickly used the momentum of his roll to push himself up, jumping upwards before landing on his feet. He quickly noticed that Scathach was already standing, waiting for him. The smile still present on her face. He took in a deep breathe before exhaling calmly.
"You really are something Shirou. Even if neither of us is going all out, it is still impressive. I wonder, if you can handle me when I use these." She said as she grabbed both of her spears. "I'll admit, I thought you'd be nothing without your sacred gear, but you were able to prove me wrong. Can you do it again I wonder?"
Shirou thought she was crazy. Even though he wasn't enhancing himself and only relying on his runes, he was barely keeping up, relying on the experience he gained from Archer. Without it, he wasn't sure if he'd be able to take her. Now, she wanted to fight with weapons. "I know you won't take no for an answer. So, I suppose I'll just have to do my best. Trace on." He figured with an opponent like this, he'd rely on the classics.
In his hands appeared two swords, one black and the other white. The married blades, Kanshou and Bakuya, two swords he didn't pull out too often. Instead, trying to rely on the skills he had been attempting to hone himself. Though, against her, he'd have to use old tricks. Her eyes narrowed when they noticed the two swords. Knowing they weren't his sacred gear.
"Oh, a fellow dual wielder? And they aren't even your sacred gear. If I wasn't familiar with Blade Blacksmith, then I'd assume thats what you possessed. However, I can tell those are different. How very exciting. You continue to surpass my expectations Shirou." She said as she charged forward. Shirou assumed the stance of Archer, the stance that used a concept present in all of Shirou's fighting styles. Though, if Shirou had to be honest, it was only when using these two swords was it perfect.
A spear came at his heart, it was batted away, the second came at his thigh, that two was parried. Shirou then delivering a kick to the girl's midsection. Thus began the second dance of Shirou Emiya and Scathach.
"I apologize for calling you here on such short notice Shirou." He looked at Souna with a slightly raised eyebrow. 'Didn't she call me Mr. Emiya the other day?' He was slightly puzzled, considering she seemed like such a stickler for the rules. In fact, she reminded him of his friend Issei, just a bit more strict.
"There's nothing to apologize for Ms. Shitori, in fact, I find it a bit flattering really. If you wished to play another game of chess, you only needed to ask." He said, unknowingly donning a certain Archer's smirk. Souna's face became a bit red with embarrassment, before she turned her head and cleared her throat.
"Eh, sorry, as much as I'd like another match sometime. The matter I called you here for is something far more important, though I do suppose it isn't entirely unrelated." Shirou's eyes slightly narrowed for a moment. He didn't understand what important problem could arise from such a thing. "I suppose before I tell what it is, I should inform you of a few things." Souna then opened one of the drawers on her desk, before placing a file on the table.
"This is a file about you Shirou, from your time working for the church" Shirou's eyes were now narrowed, assessing the situation and the possibilities that said situation could turn into. He readied his trigger holy trigger, knowing the situation would call for such a thing. "While, it may seem like a threat, it isn't. When I found out you were here with your companions, I was a bit worried. I wished to understand what your motives for. Then I read this file."
She held it out to Shirou, who took it into his hand before opening it and looking it over. "It talks a lot about you, but something in there really caught my eye. It was your temperament. You only wished to protect your two companions, doing most of your duties together. All of which included assisting others, though the times you were sent to act as an exorcist, or rather a knight of the church, you were efficient and completed the job with the least amount of innocent casualties. None of the targets were innocent."
"What kind of exorcist would I be if I hurt those who didn't deserve it. I'm not someone who cares about one's background. The whole reason I was with the church was because I could help people with greater ease then anywhere else. In the end, that's all I wanted, to inspire hope in others. To grant the wishes of those in need. It is something all three of us did. Though, I suppose it is also true that I refused to allow any danger to come to them as well. I'm a guardian, first and foremost. A knight second."
"Yes, that is the whole reason why I wished to speak with you after I found this out. I wanted to wait until you were more comfortable around school, but I never expected you to win a chess match against me." She said in a slightly quiet voice. Though Shirou was still in his analytical state of mind, he allowed himself to quirk a brow and let out a small smile.
"I apologize if that somehow offended you Ms. Shitori. While it was my intention to win, I didn't mean to cause you any trouble with that." Shirou was honestly apologetic with his words, something that Souna picked up on. She gave him a small smile in response.
"You haven't offended me Shirou, the trouble is actually my own doing rather than yours. Allow to me formally introduce myself. My name is, Sona Sitri. I am the heiress of House Sitri and I'm a devil." Shirou silently cursed, reminding himself to find some way to punish Kuroka when he got home. 'I feel like this is something I should have known. She just said that the area was controlled by two great devil families. She didn't tell me the heiresses were in the school.'
Shirou, rather than react the way she thought he would, simply bowed in front of her in a way that reminded her of the etiquette taught to her when she was young. "It is a pleasure to make your acquaintance Lady Sitri. I suppose it is only fair I introduce myself in turn. My name is Shirou Emiya-Von Einzbern, Knight of Saint Martha."
Shirou never thought he'd be using the formal etiquette training Sella forced onto him, yet, here he is. He inwardly sighed. 'I haven't had to do this in forever, I hope I didn't mess it up.' While Shirou was worrying over his etiquette, Sona was puzzled by and slightly relieved by the revelation of Shirou's name. If his name was anything to go by, then that meant this would be a lot easier to explain to not only him, but her family when it came time for that.
"Well, Shirou, I suppose we both hid something from each other it seems." Sona said with a smile on her face, though Shirou noted it seemed more relieved than anything. "Judging from your actions and your name, I can assume you know something of how the politics of nobility are handled."
"I know a bit, though I will admit, I never really had to deal with such things." He said in a calm voice. He wasn't lying, since while he had the name, it wasn't exactly recognized. Though, that didn't stop some magi from trying to come after him for one reason or another.
"I see, then I suppose I should come right out with it then. I was once in an arranged marriage." Shirou's eyes slightly narrowed at that. "However, I managed to get out of it by beating the man in question in chess. An old tradition in my family it seems. Needless to say, I told my family that I wouldn't marry anyone unless they could beat me in a chess match." Shirou wasn't sure he liked where this was going.
"This wouldn't have been a problem in and of itself, especially since I haven't been defeated by anyone who has challenged me. That was until you." 'Please, no.' "I called you here to inform you that because of your victory over me, in accordance with tradition, you, Shirou Emiya-Von Einzbern are now my fiancee." 'And there it was.' Rather than say anything, Shirou just stayed silent. Before relying on his most tried and true method, one he learned from Archer over his countless years as a counter guardian.
"You'd usually take someone to dinner before proposing such a thing." Inwardly, Shirou was cursing Archer. He knew that Archer would love seeing him in this situation.
Swords and spears clashed, one parrying and countering, the other relentlessly attacking and dodging. It wasn't long before Scathach saw the pattern. "I see, you leave yourself open on purpose in order to guide the strikes. That way you know where they will be coming from. A dangerous and suicidal tactic for most, though it seems you are someone who is able to make it work. Truly fascinating Shirou. Are you positive you aren't a reincarnation? Such skill would take a lifetime to learn."
Shirou was standing across from her. Despite managing to hold her off, his black jacket had cuts on it in numerous places. He had been cut on his legs, arms, chest, and even a cut on his cheek. That's not to say that Scathach was unharmed, she herself was bleeding from a few places on her body. Though, she was more bruised than cut, considering Shirou's counters.
"I'm more than positive I am no reincarnation. Descendant? Hard to say, anyone who would know died in a fire when I was young. Though, thanks for the compliment. You aren't too bad yourself." Shirou said, 'definitely an understatement.' "So, how long are you wanting to keep doing this Scathach?"
She was positively elated at the battle the two were sharing, truly, she didn't want such a thing to end. Though, she knew that Shirou had allies coming to his aid. Though, so did she. However...
"There you are Red. It took us awhile to get here, especially with that trick you pulled." Heracles said as he finally showed his face. Shirou dematerialized his married blades. Calling forth Florent. If one was paying attention, they'd see some of Shirou's wounds healing faster than normal. "Scathach, we got what we needed. We confirmed the kid has a sacred gear and has talent. Why haven't you captured him yet?"
Shirou's eyebrow twitched at being called a kid, but he decided to let it go. "Because Heracles, before you rudely interrupted, Shirou and I were having a most wonderful dance together. Something I did not want ruined." She replied sharply, her smile vanishing and her eyes turning cold. Jeanne could be seen walking on the other side of Scathach.
"We get it Scathach, you like the way he fights, but we were given orders. Orders that need to be kept. You know how important this is." Jeanne said in a calm voice. Shirou was a little let down by the saint's reincarnation. He expected the holy woman he saw from La Pucelle's memories, but instead, he got someone who was following the whims of a terrorist. Why wasn't she with the church? He had many questions.
"Hmph, your orders are not my orders Jeanne. I only follow you all because I wanted to find someone to dance with. I finally find him, and your glorious leader only wants to turn him into a mindless drone to die off on the front lines. I say we report to Cao Cao and tell him we could not capture him. He is under the protection of the devils, that should be enough of a deterrent." Shirou was slightly confused by Scathach. He knew why she was helping him, but it was still weird.
"Ha, as if I would fail to capture a target. He got the drop on us when we weren't even trying. Besides, he told us to find both users in the city, Cao Cao wants the twilight healing. Failure is not..." Before Heracles could finish, a pressure began exuding from Shirou that put Jeanne and Heracles on edge. Scathach only smiled in response, excited to see what he would do. Shirou however, was now in no mood to drag this out, and Florent was now nowhere to be seen.
His magic circuits burst to life, their rotation was as great as it was in Fuyuki. "I am the bone of my sword." A grand spear with six branches extending from the sides stabbed itself into the ground, followed by seven other blades of differing makes. He extended his hand and took the spear from the ground. In his left hand appeared Ushiwakamaru's sword, the Usumidori. "Steel is my body and Fire my blood."
The spear in his hand began to emit crackles of electricity, the other weapons likewise activating with different effects. "You come after Asia,..." Shirou spun the Usumidori into a reverse grip while lifting the spear up into a thrusting position. The lightning becoming even more violent and unmanageable. "And I'll kill you." His voice was cold and emotionless. It was obvious that Scathach was more than happy with the development, though both Heracles and Jeanne seemed to be wary. "I have been remade by a dozen blades."
For a moment, a hill could be seen in their heads, filled with legendary weapons. It was obvious that Heracles had said something wrong at that point. Before anything else could happen though, a water dragon landed right on top of the area where they were standing. The three just barely managing to get away. Scathach, rather than pay any attention to the intruder was only looking at Shirou. "Shirou, I had a lot of fun dancing with you. Be sure to visit me at my castle if your ever around." She said in a happy voice, before stabbing her two spears into the ground, runes appearing on them, and a gateway appearing between them.
The three quickly made their way into the door, however, before Heracles could completely get away. "Nine Lives Blades Works." He only had enough time to turn and activate his sacred gear, causing explosions at different points on his body. Though, he wasn't fast enough for all nine blows. His body was hurled into the gateway, before it promptly shut, disappearing.
Shirou let Heracles's sword disappear, before using Usumidori to hold himself up. He didn't use it to it's full capabilities because of his injuries, but he was sure that if that guy wasn't dead, he would more than likely wish he was. "Sir Shirou, please try to remain still for awhile. The flowers will try to heal you." He heard the worry in Flora's voice, wondering why she was so worried. He didn't think his injuries were that bad. Though, he had bigger problems to deal with at the moment. He turned his head and saw his fiancee making her way over to him.
"Shirou, what were you thinking?!" Sona yelled, Shirou knew that was coming. "Asia is already on her way here, so just try to stay still for a moment." She let out a frustrated sigh. "Look at you Shirou, did you have to go that far? You're injuries were exacerbated by whatever technique you just used."
"I'm fine Sona, don't worry about me. This isn't anything to be worried about." He said, managing to smile at her. Though, from the look on her face, it wasn't the reply she was looking for.
"Nothing to be worried about? Shirou, if I wasn't used to seeing injuries like this, I'd probably be panicking right now. You have lost a lot of blood. When you get home, you are going to rest. I don't care what you say. I'll tell Asia and Shirone to make sure it happens." Shirou let out a sigh, before nodding his head.
"Good. Now, onto the other matter. Tell me Shirou, why was there a damaged street, a hole in a roof, two holes in the walls of the buildings, and multiple broken swords laying on the ground like breadcrumbs? Explain to me how you managed that." Sona spoke, placing her hands on her hips in a very Rin way, which only made the desire to answer her in his chosen way even greater.
"It was a slow day." Shirou smiled, Sona's face turning red and her eyes looking like they were about to burst into flames.
"No, none of your jokes, or snarkiness. You could have been kidnapped Shirou, or worse, killed. So, don't start with me. Don't think I know about you fixing the things around school either. I told you, We have people to do that. Also, I want you to stop encouraging the pervert trio." Shirou slightly snorted at that one. It was on accident. The way they phrased their question made it seem innocent enough. How was he supposed to know they would actually do something crazy and listen to him.
Sona's eyes narrowed, Shirou inwardly sighed. "Alright, you win. I'm sorry. I'll try to not take on terrorists alone. And the other stuff. Just, don't glare at me so much." Shirou had an idea, though he knew he'd be paying for it afterwards. He wanted to alleviate the worry in her eyes. He managed to put a smirk on his face. "You know, if you don't smile more, you'll never get a boyfriend you know."
"I'm going to hit you."
