"Hey Neeks," Will said, walking into the small apartment that he shared with his boyfriend.
"Yeah Will?" Nico asked, looking up from his book.
"You want to go play laser tag tonight?"
"I'm kind of busy right now, Will," The son of Hades replied.
"Too late. I already signed us up and invited everyone else."
Nico rolled his eyes at his blond boyfriend. "Fine, I'll go."
They got to the laser tag arena around ten. For some reason, Will had asked his father to rent out the arena for the twelve of them for the night.
Other than Will and Nico, there were ten other people: Hazel, Frank, Percy, Annabeth, Jason, Piper, Leo, Reyna, Thalia, and Grover.
"You're insane Will," Nico said. His boyfriend only laughed.
"Come on Neeks, it'll be fun."
"Fiiiiine."
A few minutes later, they were in the briefing room to the arena getting their vests and guns.
Nico was on a team with Annabeth, Hazel, Piper, Reyna, and Grover. He glanced over at Will as he pulled a green vest over his head. The taller boy was pulling an orange vest over top of his camp t-shirt.
"You ready to lose Neeks?" His boyfriend asked, walking up to him and smirking.
"You wish," Nico replied, chuckling as they walked into the arena together and Nico ran towards the back corner.
*Time Jump, five minutes later*
Nico hadn't seen anyone from the orange team yet, but he had seen Annabeth and Piper running towards the front and shooting at someone.
He heard someone behind him and turned, aiming his gun before someone grabbed his wrists and pushed the gun away.
Nico looked up to see who had cornered him and stared into the light blue eyes of his boyfriend. "Hey, Will."
"Hello Sunshine," Will replied, pushing Nico further into the corner. He slowly raised his hand, cupping Nico's face. The son of Hades leaned in to his boyfriend's touch as Will leaned forward and closed his eyes.
Nico's eyes closed as he felt his boyfriend's lips press softly against his own.
Will backed away from Nico and looked him up and down before raising his gun and shooting the smaller boy in the chest.
"Hey!" Nico complained, a small smile appearing on his face.
"You fell for it." Will laughed before getting shot in the back by Reyna.
"And now you're both out,"
"Come on, Nico," Will said, grabbing his boyfriend's hand. "Let's go."
They exited the arena and removed their vests, seeing Grover sitting in the corner.
"Are you the only one that's out?" Will asked him.
"Nah, Jason, Thalia, Annabeth, and Reyna are still in there." The satyr replied. "Everyone else went to get food."
Just then Jason walked through the door and took off his vest. "Annabeth got me." He said, putting his gear down. "Who's left?"
"Right now, it's Thalia versus Reyna and Annabeth." Nico answered as the rest of the group returned with the food.
"Hey Nico," Hazel said, walking up to her brother, I got you nachos.
"Thanks Hazel," Nice responded as Thalia walked out of the arena.
Annabeth and Reyna quickly followed, smiling. "Victory for the green team!" Annabeth yelled, grabbing a slice of pizza off of Percy's plate.
"Hey!"
"Shut up, Seaweed Brain, you lost and I'm hungry."
They were back in the parking lot now, about to leave.
"Hey Nico, can I talk to you for a sec?" Will asked.
"Yeah, what's up?" Nico asked, following his boyfriend to the side of the building.
"We've had so many adventures together, and I was wondering if you'll take the next one with me as well."
"Will, what are you talking about?" Nico asked.
Will reached into his back pocket and pulled out a small black box. Kneeling down, he continued, "Look, I guarantee that there'll be tough times. I guarantee that at some point, one or both of us is going to want to get out of this thing. But I also guarantee that if I don't ask you to be mine, I'll regret it for the rest of my life, because I know, in my heart, you're the only one for me. So, Nico di Angelo, will you marry me?"
He opened the box, revealing a small black diamond set into a silver ring.
Nico could barely make himself talk, so he just nodded as Will slid the ring onto his finger and stood.
He threw his arms around his fiancé's neck and kissed him.
He heard the rest of the group cheering and looked up to see Hazel holding a small camera.
Nico walked over to them and hugged his sister, still holding Will's hand, before turning to head back to the car.
