Madison waited and waited and felt like she could take a nap. But she couldn't. Madison looked at one of the sea flowers and plucked it off the ground.
"Let's see. Will Sebastian tells Triton what happen? He will. He won't." she said as she plucked one of the petals until she came to the last petal and knew the answered. "Yep. He will. Obviously, of course." she said and threw the petal and steam away.
Madison groaned as she was getting boring but then looked at the flowers again and looked at her necklace. She picked another flower and sigh.
"Should I tell her the truth or not?" she asked softly. She plucked the petals one by one until she stopped at the last as it was her answer.
"I'll tell her soon. When the right moment comes." she said until she heard a swishing sound.
She looked up and saw Ariel and Sebastian coming by but didn't see Flounder.
"Hey guys. Where's Flounder?" she asked but Ariel shrugged as she sat down on the flat rock. She spotted the flowers and slowly plucked the petals off.
Madison looked at her as she was still daydreaming about Eric but looked at Sebastian, who was pacing in worry.
"Okay. So far, so good. I don't think the king knows. But it will not be easy keeping something like this a secret for long." he said to himself.
"You're starting to stress yourself. You know that?" she spoke as she looked at him.
"I am not stressing! I am perfectly fine. I'm just... concern and worry."
"Still. It's stressing." she replied until a flower petal floated down to her nose. Madison brushed it off and looked at Ariel.
" He loves me . . . hmmm, he loves me not. . . " she said to herself as she plucked the petals off until she got to the last petal and smiled happily. "He loves me! I knew it!" she giggled.
Madison smiled as she looked at her friend but heard Sebastian saying...
"Ariel, stop talking crazy." he said as he swam up to her.
"I gotta see him again, tonight! Scuttle knows where he lives." said Ariel as she thought of the idea and starts swimming around, but Sebastian was holding onto the fins of her tail.
"Ariel, please. Will you get your head out of the clouds and back in the water where it belongs?" he asked sternly.
"I'll swim up to his castle. Then Flounder will splash around to get his attention, and then with..."
Madison watched Ariel around until he hears the crab's outburst.
"Down HERE is your home! Ariel, listen to me. The human world, it's a mess. Life under the sea is better than anything they got up there." he said.
Madison smiled as she knew it was song time and hear the crab sing.
Sebastian: The seaweed is always greener
In somebody else's lake
You dream about going up there
But that is a big mistake
Just look at the world around you
Right here on the ocean floor
Such wonderful things surround you
What more is you lookin' for?
Under the sea
Under the sea
Darling it's better
Down where it's wetter
Take it from me
Up on the shore they work all day
Out in the sun they slave away
While we devotin'
Full time to floatin'
Under the sea
The blue lobster begins playing with the clams like drums and Sebastian plays along with him.
Sebastian and the Lobster: Down here all the fish is happy
As off through the waves they roll
The fish on the land ain't happy
Sebastian: They sad 'cause they in their bowl
But fish in the bowl is lucky
They in for a worser fate
One day when the boss gets hungry
Fish: Guess who's gon' be on the plate
Sebastian: Under the sea
Under the sea
Nobody beat us
Fry us and eat us
In fricassee
We what the land folks loves to cook
Under the sea we off the hook
We got no troubles
Life is the bubbles
Under the sea
Under the sea
Since life is sweet here
We got the beat here
Naturally
Even the sturgeon and the ray
They get the urge and start to play
We got the spirit
You got to hear it
Under the sea
The newt plays the flute
The carp play the harp
The plaice play the bass
And they soundin' sharp
The bass play the brass
The chub plays the tub
The fluke is the duke of soul
(Yeah)
The ray he can play
The lings on the strings
The trout rockin' out
The blackfish she sings
The smelt and the sprat
They know where it's at
And oh, that blowfish blow
Madison moved her shoulders as she move to beat. She actually like the song and it was catchy until she saw Flounder coming by. He approaches to Ariel and whispers something in her ear. Madison looked at the two, swimming away. She looked at the band and looked back at the two and decided to follow them.
"Guys, wait up!" she said to them until she continues humming the song. She wished she didn't have to leave but she has to but yet that song was stuck in her head that she couldn't help but singing.
Madison: (sings softly a little) Under the sea
Under the sea
When the sardine
Begin the beguine
It's music to me
What do they got? A lot of sand
We got a hot crustacean band
Each little clam here
Know how to jam here
Under the sea
Each little slug here
Cuttin' a rug here
Under the sea
Each little snail here
Know how to wail here
That's why it's hotter
Under the water
Ya we in luck here
Down in the muck here
Under the sea
Moments later, as the three kept on swimming, they finally came to the grotto as Ariel opened the rock and the three entered.
"Flounder, why can't you just tell me what this is all about?" Ariel asked.
"You'll see. It's a surprise." Flounder answered until the three stopped. The girls looked surprised at what they saw but Ariel looked even more surprised. It was the statue of Prince Eric. The same statue from the ship.
"Oh, Flounder. Flounder you're the best! It looks just like him. It even has his eyes." she said as she hugged her friend and swim around the statue.
Madison smiled at that moment until she heard a swishing sound from behind. Madison felt her heart pounding and slowly turned her head around. She gasps and quickly hid behind a large vase.
"Uh... A-Ariel..." she stuttered, trying to get her attention but Ariel didn't listen.
"Why, Eric, run away with you? This is all so... so sudden. . ." she giggled and twirl around.
"Ariel!" Madison spoke up and pointed.
Ariel looked at Madison and then looked at to where she was pointing until...
"Daddy!" she gasped.
It was King Triton and he looked very furious at her. Flounder quickly went into hiding beside Madison and looked at the Sea King.
"I consider myself a reasonable merman. I set certain rules, and I expect those rules to be obeyed." he spoke very sternly at his daughter.
"But daddy..."
"Is it true you rescued a human from drowning?"
"Daddy, I had to..."
"Contact between the human world and the mer-world is strictly forbidden. Ariel, you know that! Everyone knows that!"
"He would have died..."
"One less human to worry about!"
"You don't even know him!"
"Know him? I don't have to know him. They're all the same. Spineless, savage, harpooning, fish eaters, incapable of any feeling..."
"Daddy, I love him!" Ariel outburst but gasped at what she just said.
Madison held onto Flounder, and both become more scared as they saw the King who looked shock but become rage.
"No... Have you lost your senses completely? He's a human, you're a mermaid!"
"I don't care!" said Ariel as she hid behind the statue.
"So, help me Ariel, I am going to get through to you. And if this is the only way, so be it!" he said as his triton began to glow.
Madison quickly hid and heard the objects destroyed.
"Daddy! No . . . No, please... Daddy, stop!" Ariel cried out.
Triton continues destroying her collection and hit the large vase where Madison was hiding. It made her scream and swam out of the way.
Ariel tried to stop her father but saw that the triton was now pointing at the statue.
"Daddy, no!" she cried until beam blast the statue and it was completely destroyed.
Madison looked up and saw Ariel crying in devastation but didn't look at the king as he was leaving.
"Ariel, I..." Sebastian spoke until he heard her answer.
"Just go away."
Sebastian felt guilty and ashamed and starts leaving along with Flounder.
Madison wanted to comfort her friend but realize she needs to be alone. She starts swimming out of the grotto and follow Sebastian and Flounder.
