Outside of the grotto and somewhere on a different spot, Madison, Sebastian and Flounder were all concern and sad for Ariel. Madison had her head down, but her eyes were in shock. That scene. That one scene she didn't like where King Triton destroy Ariel's collection. She felt sorry for leaving Ariel and didn't comfort her but then knew what would happen next.
"Poor Ariel." Flounder sniffed as he was in sadness.
"I didn't mean to tell; it was an accident." said Sebastian in guilt.
"Yeah right! You're such a tattle teller! You couldn't even keep your loudmouth shut!" Madison outburst as she glares at the crab.
"I swear... I- I didn't mean..." before Sebastian could say anything, all three saw shadows coming by above them.
They looked up and saw Ariel swimming with the two eels. Madison knew those characters. Flotsam and Jetsam. And now they are taking her somewhere.
"Ariel, where are you going? Ariel, what are you doing here with this riffraff?" Sebastian asked as he was near the mermaid.
"I'm going to see Ursula." she answered as she swam past him.
Sebastian gasp and held onto her fins, trying to stop her.
"Ariel, no! No, she's a demon, she's a monster!"
"Why don't you go tell my father? You're good at that." said Ariel as she swam away from him.
"But . . . But I . . ." Sebastian stuttered, trying to say something but looked at Flounder and Madison, "Come on."
Madison starts swimming with them as they were following Ariel and the eels. Madison swam past Flounder and Sebastian and try to go near her mermaid friend but also don't want to get caught by the eels.
Moments later, the sea was getting dark, but Madison kept on following them until she saw it. Ursula's lair. Looks creepy in person but need somewhere to hide in there so Ursula or the eels spotted her. Suddenly, her necklace glowed. Madison looked around and notice that she was invisible. Felt like a clever idea and starts going in.
She went inside to find her until she spotted Ariel, but she looked down to see the polyps who were all staring at Ariel but not at Madison because she was invisible until they heard a voice.
"Come in. Come in, my child. We mustn't lurk in doorways, it's rude."
Madison looked and saw her. Ursula, the Sea Witch, appeared out of the giant shell and heading towards her vanity.
"One might question your upbringing. Now, then. You're here because you have a thing for this human. This... prince fellow. Not that I blame you, he is quite a catch, isn't he?" she said as she put like moose gel on her hair and then starts putting on lipstick, "Well, angel fish, the solution to your problem is simple. The only way to get what you want is to become a human yourself."
"Can you do that?" Ariel questioned as she looked at her.
Ursula let a sly smirk on her face and turn to face her.
"My dear, sweet child. That's what I do - it's what I live for. To help unfortunate merfolk like yourself. Poor souls with no one else to turn to." she answered and then starts to sing.
Ursula: I admit that in the past I've been a nasty
They weren't kidding when they called me, well, a witch
But you'll find that nowadays
I've mended all my ways
Repented, seen the light and made a switch
True? Yes
And I fortunately know a little magic
It's a talent that I always have possessed
And here lately, please don't laugh
I use it on behalf
Of the miserable, lonely and depressed
(Pathetic)
Poor unfortunate souls
In pain
In need
This one longing to be thinner
That one wants to get the girl
And do I help them?
Yes, indeed
Those poor unfortunate souls
So sad
So true
They come flocking to my cauldron
Crying, "Spells, Ursula please!"
And I help them?
Yes, I do
Now it's happened once or twice
Someone couldn't pay the price
And I'm afraid I had to rake 'em 'cross the coals
Yes, I've had the odd complaint
But on the whole, I've been a saint
To those poor unfortunate souls
"Now, here's the deal." she said as she approaches to Ariel and lead her to the cauldron. "I will make you a potion that will turn you into a human for three days. Got that? Three days."
Ursula opened her cauldron and created images coming out of it, showing Ariel what she needs to do. Madison stays invisible but spotted Flounder and Sebastian coming in.
"Now listen, this is important. Before the sun sets on the third day, you've got to get dear ol princey to fall in love with you. That is, he's got to kiss you. Not just any kiss, the kiss of true love. If he does kiss you before the sun sets on the third day, you'll remain human, permanently, but if he doesn't, you turn back into a mermaid, and you belong to me."
"No, Ariel!" Sebastian spoke but he and Flounder were silenced by Flotsam and Jetsam. Madison looked at them but looked back at Ursula and Ariel.
"Have we got a deal?" Ursula asked.
"If I become human, I'll never be with my father or sisters again." said Ariel as she looked sad.
"That's right. But you'll have your man. Life's full of tough choices, innit?" she sneerly chuckled. "Oh, and there is one more thing. We haven't discussed the subject of payment. You can't get something for nothing, you know."
"But I don't have any..." Ariel tries to speak but Ursula shushed her with her tentacle.
"I'm not asking much. Just a token, really, a trifle. You'll never even miss it. What I want from you is . . . your voice." she spoke in a low tone.
"My voice?" Ariel asked as she place her hand on her neck.
"You've got it, sweetcakes. No more talking, singing, zip."
"But without my voice, how can I...?"
"You'll have your looks! Your pretty face! And don't underestimate the importance of body language! Ha!"
Ursula: The men up there don't like a lot of blabber
They think a girl who gossips is a bore
Yes, on land it's much preferred
For ladies not to say a word
And after all, dear, what is idle prattle for?
Come on, they're not all that impressed with conversation
True gentlemen avoid it when they can
But they dote and swoon and fawn
On a lady who's withdrawn
It's she who holds her tongue who gets her man
Come on, you poor unfortunate soul
Go ahead!
Make your choice!
I'm a very busy woman
And I haven't got all day
It won't cost much
Just your voice!
You poor unfortunate soul
It's sad
But true
Madison continued watching and saw the contract appear in front of Ariel.
Ursula: If you want to cross a bridge, my sweet
You've got to pay the toll
Take a gulp and take a breath
And go ahead and sign the scroll!
Flotsam, Jetsam, now I've got her, boys
The boss is on a roll
This poor unfortunate soul.
Ariel have already decided as she grabbed the pen and sign the contract. It floated to Ursula until it disappears. Ursula grinned sinisterly and start working her magic on her cauldron.
Ursula: Paluga, sarruga, come winds of the Caspian Sea.
Now rings us glossitis and max laryngitis,
La voce to me!
Now . . . sing!
Madison watched as those giant, green, magic hands appeared out of the cauldron and saw Ariel starting to sing.
"Keep singing!" Ursula commanded and Ariel kept on singing.
The giant magical hands came towards Ariel. They went inside her mouth and ripped the voice out of her as it was still singing and gave it to Ursula, in her shell necklace.
Ursula laughs as the magic begins around Ariel. Madison watched her tail transforming until she was struggling. As the necklace glow, Madison reappears herself from being invisible and looked at Flounder and Sebastian.
"Come on, we gotta help her! She can't breathe like that!" she spoke.
The three quickly got to Ariel and swam out of the lair, heading straight towards the surface.
Ariel's head popped out of the surface, breathing for air from being under the water. Madison, Sebastian, and Flounder helped her and carried her to the shore.
