Now we will see how Eli's little misadventure (okay a big misadventure), how it plays out.

Chapter 2: Eli's Misadventure

Eli was on the fourth floor, taking out a goblin. He sighed and stared at the vastness of the dungeon. "I have to get stronger."

With him was Hedin, who is keeping an eye on him. He noticed the young werewolf being more aggressive as of late. "Hmm….you are doing well so far."

Eli nodded and kept going forward, when more creatures were being born on the wall. All he could recall was why he was pushing himself.

Flashback

Eli was given a solo mission from the Guild and that is delivering an item. Not enough details, but nothing illegal from it. He took it and was going to be paid a small amount, and he could use it to buy something for his aunt Freya. Or is it mom Freya now?

He arrived at the apartment and knocked on the door. He saw the door open and an older woman answered it. She saw the child and blinked.

"Hello ma'am. I am Eli, a member of the Hestia Familia and the person that took your job. What is it that I am delivering?"

She blinked and saw the innocent child. She noticed how the hair was nearly covering his eyes. "Sorry dear. Give me a moment to give you the item."

He nodded and waited.

Then the older woman returned with a small package. "Listen to me carefully, you are heading to the Entertainment District. The moment you enter, head straight down until you see a building called 'Drink Out'. Take the alley on the left and head straight down until you see a small building with a green door. If they ask who it was, just say "Marnie sent me." And you should be set from there."

He nodded and placed his cloak on "I will do my best, ma'am!"

He then ran toward the Entertainment District. It wasn't as bustling as it was in the evening, but people were still walking around. He was extra careful not being caught. His mother and a few other women told him to avoid that town or being noticed at all costs.

He kept moving, while going unnoticed. He saw a bit of a glance on women, wearing very little clothes to exotic clothing. He never understood that at all.

He arrived at the green door and knocked on the door.

"Who is it?"

"Marnie sent me."

The door opened and out came a woman. She stared at the child and he stared back. He gave her the package and he bowed "Have a good day."

He then ran, while she had a concern expression for the boy.

As Eli ran, he accidently bumped into someone. "Oh…sorry." He looked up and saw a woman, her hair covered in one eye, wearing a stash around her large breasts and see through pants. She tilted her head and stared at him "It's alright kid, hope you aren't hurt."

"No….just surprised you managed to not fall."

She blinked on that comment"Oh? I assume you're an adventurer then?" She had a coy smile.

He nodded "I am an adventurer in training. I took this mission to deliver something and I have to head back home, as my task is finished."

She thought it was cute how he tried to sound professional. She got on one knee and stared at the werewolf boy and noticed his blindfold on him after parting his eyes a bit. "What is your name child?"

"My…my mother told me not to give my name to strangers…."

She smiled at him "Oh? But we are talking, no harm done. My name is Aisha."

He stared at her for a moment and wondered what other thing he could say. She wasn't threatening at all, and did give her a name. He remembered his father saying 'It is polite to greet someone after introducing themselves, especially to a woman.'

"Ummm….I'm Eli."

She chuckled softly, "See, that wasn't so bad." She patted his hair, gently; this made his tail wag.

"Hey Aisha!"

She noticed some of her companions arriving. They noticed that the cute werewolf was chatting with Aisha.

One of them went up to him and smiled "Oh goddess, he is so adorable!"

She picked him up and hugged him. Poor Eli, while being hugged and smothering around, the scent of the perfume the Amazoness wore was becoming nearly too much for him, as he sneezed.

"Are you okay?" a concerned Lena looked at him.

"Sorry….My nose tends to get sensitive with a strong scent."

"Oh sorry, little one!" She patted his head, then another woman hugged him. Some weren't so bad, as some of them were gentle to him. One of them pressed his face on her breast, and his face was getting redder from each hug.

"Umm…can…can I go home now?"

"Oh, you have a family waiting for you?" one of them asked.

He nodded "I have to go. I don't want my mom and dad to get worried about me."

"Oh, but stay a little longer. We have delicious fruits to try." The Amazoness had a sly smirk.

Aisha raised her eyebrow "Wait. Isn't he too young for-"

"We could just cuddle with him and take care of him. Nothing too serious. Maybe when he is older on the other hand-"

They felt the ground shake a bit.

For Eli, a familiar scent hit his nose. A scent that he couldn't forget when he was captured. He grew frightened, as his tail was in between his legs.

One of the girls, Lena, was now shielding him. Aisha whispered "Take him and go. Now!"

She nodded and made a run for it in another direction.

However, her eyes widened when she was blocked by the large toad woman.

"Well, well, well. What do we have here?" She snatched the werewolf boy, making him yelp.

"Give him back!" Lena, trying to save the child, but was held back by one hand by the larger woman. Then she was shoved hard on the ground as Lena realized this was hopeless.

"Oh no." her grin became predatory "I will enjoy eating up this cute little werewolf~"

Eli didn't want to be with this scary person. He was captured by her and said things that frightened him. He took a chance and bit her hand down hard.

Normally it wouldn't do anything for a Level 4 vs. Level 1. However, she let her guard down and lowered her level to the equivalent of a regular person. The problem is that Eli, being near mid Level 1 and his fangs has started to become sharper, caused the most immense pain that Phrynne has ever felt. It was enough to let him go and he made a run for it.

"Ahhh! My hand! My beautiful hand!" she was holding it while jumping up.

The girls saw him running deeper in the city. They provided a longer distraction, hoping that he managed to escape. They saw the large woman recover and pushed the other Amazoness out of the way, but Aisha was going to make it harder for the large woman.

"Move out of the way, bitch!"

"I won't allow you to hurt an innocent boy."

The fist came in fast, knocking the air out of Aisha as she crumbled on the ground.

She began to try to find the child, as she ran on the streets.

Eli kept moving, frightened and hoping to find a way out of the place. He then noticed a carriage was nearing him. He rolled quickly, avoiding it as it bided him more time to find someplace to hide. He saw a district in which the buildings, more or less, reminded him of Freya's home. He went into one of the larger buildings and kept running through the hallway, while looking for a place to hide. He then picked a door and went inside.

He closed it immediately and was trying to catch his breath.

"Who's there?"

He turned and saw a beautiful woman, wearing clothes that reminded him somewhat of a princess in those tales. Long brown hair, beautiful face and body. "Please…hide me….a bad person is after me….she said she will eat me"

She then felt the place shake a bit, knowing who it was. "Hide under the bed and whatever you do, don't breathe too much." He nodded and went under the bed. She then sprayed a good amount of perfume and then used her fan to allow it to go all over.

She then sat on the bed and opened a book.

The door slammed open and saw it was Phrynne. "Have you seen a werewolf here?!"

"No."

She took a sniff around the air, looking for that specific scent. She kept sniffing and walked over to the place. She then looked at the woman "Get off the bed."

She did her best to hide her nervous face. She got up, and prayed.

She lifted the bed and noticed there was nobody there. She placed the bed down and looked into the closet. And nothing.

She gave a huff of frustration and closed the door hard, heading to the next room.

She went under and noticed him climbing down. She whispered "Wait for a while longer." The boy nodded as he was holding his knees together, praying she would be gone. She waited for a while and then felt the heavy footsteps and the door opened again. "Nothing?!"

"No, ma'am."

Her eyes narrowed and said "If you see him, bring him to me. If I find out that you hid him, I will make sure that Ishtar will find you to keep the dogs happy!"

She nodded in understanding as she saw the large woman leave. She waited for a while until she went out the window. She sighed in relief that she was gone to another place. The woman went under the bed and gently said "It's okay, she's gone now."

He looked up. She saw he was in small tears. She went to slowly grab him and hug him.

"She kidnapped me once and wanted to eat me….then my adopted father saved me….and he took me in….now this lady is coming….after me again…"

"Shhh….we will both wait here until you are in the clear to leave."

He nodded as he felt his back being caressed. He sniffed a bit and felt embarrassed crying in front of this princess. He should have been brave, but he wasn't strong in stopping her.

"I…I wish I was brave enough to face her….but…"

She kept caressing his hair. "It's okay. You will get stronger one day. Plus" She made him see her "You were able to escape her grasp, which isn't easy."

She took off his blindfold and dried his eyes off. She saw beautiful red eyes, though it lacks pupils, she thinks of it as beautiful. She then placed it on him again.

"Y-you're right. Thank you." He smiled as his tail wagged a little.

She then lays him on her lap "Rest for now."

He yawned a bit and felt exhausted. He loved being caressed, and hearing her saying a few words in whispers helped out. His eyes closed and he finally began to sleep. She smiled softly "Rest, little wolf. Rest."

Her rare ability is putting to sleep by her words and comfort, hence why she was popular with people suffering from deprived sleeping.

She has avoided any man touching her, and this came upon a blessing in disguise for her. She didn't like have any man or woman having any kind of physical contact involving sex. Sure, a hug and holding is there, but that is all she could go for.

She got up to get something to eat and drink.

She came back with a small meal and drink, and set it close by her desk.

As she looked at the list of people, and thankfully, no one today. She ate quietly, while going through what to do today.

As she finished her meal, she grew curious about the young werewolf. She went over and gently turned his back. She took a peak under his shirt and saw his name.

"Eli…cute name."

She yawned and decided to nap. She held him close and closed her eyes. It's better than a body pillow.

Few hours later

He woke up and looked around. He saw the 'princess' looking on his side, while he was being caressed.

"Hey little one."

He smiled and cuddled. He then heard a giggle. He turned and saw an amazonian woman with a gentle smile. He blushed at the attractive woman.

"Aww. He is blushing. Hehe~" She then saw him get up.

He stretched and asked "Is it safe now?"

She nodded "She will escort you out of the place."

"What about you? You're a princess, I should take you out of here from that evil toad."

She giggled "I can't exactly leave." She showed a collar on her "If I leave, they will find me and bring me back and punish me."

He then had a determined look "I will rescue you."

She wanted to explain what she really was, but he was too young to understand what her work was. However, he had this aura of determination she can't explain. "Don't make any promises."

"My dad told me to never make promises, but keep your word" he went and kissed her hand "I promise I will rescue you princess….ummm…"

She smiled "Marie…Marie Ann…"

"Princess Marie Ann. I, Eli Cranel, will rescue you out here one day. I will guarantee it."

He then looked at the Amazonian woman "I'm ready, miss."

He was surprised as he was carried up by her and they left through the window. She giggled and thought he was adorable.

Flashback ends

He managed to take out the four monsters and moved on. He kept pushing himself, determined to save the princess from that evil toad somehow. He will do everything in his power to do it.

In the Entertainment district, Marie Ann stared at the sky.

She felt sad when she touched her collar "A prostitute can't be saved. We bring nothing but misery to any hero. I don't want to see something that is pure being destroyed." A few tears escaped in her eyes. She hugged the pillow he was sleeping on and took his scent.

"I do want to get free….but I don't want him to get hurt because of me…."

In Welf's Forge

Welf was repairing Bell's armor and sighed.

"Your offer seems very promising, Bell….although that means I won't see Hephaestus more often."

He was given a deal to join Hestia's Familia. He was given an oath, not to tell about a particular skill he has. He showed it and realized it can help his partners grow in their levels at a faster rate. The drawback: he has to convert.

He saw this as a way to level up and gain the skill he needs: Blacksmith. It will help him on his goal to be able to create something without the use of his unique Crozzo Blood ability.

He looked at the armor and sighed "What do I have to lose?"

In all honesty, he could visit her, and show his improvement. He looked at the hammer and anvil for a moment. Thinking of number of times he

"Screw it, I will chat with Hephaestus about it."

He looked back at the armor and went to finish it off.

Once done, he went and knocked on the office. A red haired woman with an eyepatched answer.

"Welf?"

"Lady Hephaestus, we need to talk."

Unknown Location
A fox masked man looked in front of Royman. Two other people were also there.

A woman, dressed in regal clothes, looked at the older elf "We avoided a few of Ganesha's familia raiding, but they are getting bolder each time."

Royman didn't like hearing this at all. "I assume you are leading them to a wild goose chase."

The fox masked man replied "What does that look like, old elf? I am doing my end of the bargain, what have you done?"

He then placed a letter down "I have made directives of some of our friends outside of these walls in Orario, with the information that I got. It seems that our operation in Melen is doing well, with one of the connections that I have there, feeding me more details."

An older man snorted, "It better. I would rather not let my investment go all for nothing."

The masked man looked at the older man. "Don't forget, I am putting my own money on my end."

Then in came a woman with short pink hair, looking annoyed.

The masked man looked at her "Where is the girl?"

She huffed and sat on a chair "I lost her, during an ambush."

"Bellerophon?" The regal woman asked.

She shook her head "No, just some rogue monsters. Took out all of the team, and she ran off while I was busy fighting an enhanced Bugbear."

He went to get a drink and said nothing. Once it was poured out on the glass. It was a silent moment as he took a drink. The other two stared at one another.

"I see."

She felt like she was being scolded "I didn't expect it to happen."

He waved it off "No matter. We will just keep an eye around, and I know she will be here for sure."

"What makes you certain about it?"

He drank some more "Call it….a calling."

She had a frustrated look "Calling?! That's all you have to say?!"

He finished his drink and pulled his mask back down. "Yes….just watch. She will be here. In the meantime" he grabbed his cloak "I have a few things to take care of."

"Hmph." She had an annoyed look at this point.

He stopped and went to pat her head. She was ready to slice his hand off as she had her hand on a dagger.

"Ah, ah. Don't even try it. Do try to find something to do in the meantime, just like I am." He then left the place.

Royman shook his head "I miss working in the office. At least I don't have to deal with psychopaths."

Unknown Floor

A red haired woman swallowed another magic stone. She felt her strength increase a bit. She stared at the wall.

"Aria….Oh how I want to feel you again on your wind."

She heard footsteps and saw a cloaked person. She raised an eyebrow.

"Yes?"

The cloaked person gestured to follow it. She tried to get a sense of it, but found nothing. She decided to follow the cloaked person, wondering what it wanted.

After the walk, the person spoke in a distorted voice "You are interested in Ais Wallenstein."

She was surprised to hear this and nodded.

"We can make a deal."

A/N: Yep. I believe that should end it. Eli would play a bigger role here later on this story. You'll see why. And yes, Welf decided to jump early on than in canon, and it will give him a bigger advantage to his abilities.

I know the lack of Bell is there, but not to worry, his appearance will be more in the next chapter. He will still be prominent for a lot of reasons and of course, the other characters will jump in. So that is all we have.
