Moments have gone by; Madison was in her new bedroom that she and Ariel be sharing. She was wearing a blue bathrobe after she got out of a good bath and brushing and curling her hair but after that, she explored the new surrounding from her room.
She felt how nice and comfy the bed is, a big closet full of beautiful gowns, and a balcony to see a good view. She felt like how she remembered back at France with Belle in the enchanted castle until she heard a door open.
Madison turned and saw Ariel entering the room with a green bathrobe.
"Enjoyed your bath?" she asked and Ariel nod, but her expression change as she looked at Madison's legs. "You're wondering how I got them?"
Ariel nod but heard a maid entering the room. Madison looked and saw the familiar maid and that was Carlotta as she went to the closet, looking through the dresses.
"I'll tell you about it later." Madison whispers to her and Ariel slowly nodded.
"Now let's see what we should dress you." said Carlotta as she kept looking through the dresses. "Ah! These are the ones."
Carlotta brought out two beautiful gowns. One was the iconic pink, and the other was a sea green color with gold.
"Oh, they're beautiful." said Madison as she looked at the sea green dress.
"I think you like this one dear." said Carlotta as she shows Ariel the dress.
Ariel smiled with excitement.
The girls start putting the dresses on along with Carlotta helping them. Madison looked at herself in the mirror and twirl around in her dress. She looked at Ariel as she was now in her iconic pink dress.
"You look amazing." she said to her. Ariel nods her head as a thank you and she gesture her hand to Madison as sign that she looks great too. "Thank you."
"Now, come on girls, let's go. We don't you two be late for dinner." said Carlotta as she along with the girls exit the room.
"Um... Carlotta, I hope you don't mind if I ask you this but... what are we having for dinner?" Madison asked as she looked concern.
"The chef is cooking some specials today, miss. stuffed crab and roast beef." she answered.
"Oh... good." she replied but look at Ariel as she looked shock to hear stuffed crab.
Madison wasn't really a seafood person but at least she can eat roast beef.
As the made it to the dining room, Madison entered the room a bit but looked at Ariel as she was nervous.
"Come on honey. Don't be shy." said Carlotta as she chuckled and gently drag Ariel in the room.
The girls slowly walked in, looking at the dining room but spotted Eric and Grimsby. They both gave them a smile and heading straight towards them.
"Oh, Eric, aren't they a vision?" Grimsby spoke to the prince as they girls got close to them.
Eric looked at them with surprised glance but smiled. "You both look wonderful." he said to them, but his eyes were mostly at Ariel.
"Thank you." Madison replied and Ariel nod as a thanks.
"Come come come, you two must be famished. Let me help you my dear." said Grimsby as he escorted the girls to their chairs. "There we go, ah, quite comfy?" he asked.
Madison sat down on her chair as Ariel starts sitting beside which Eric helped her.
"Uh. It's - It's not often that we have such a lovely dinner guest, eh Eric?" Grismby asked him as he sat on his chair.
Ariel looked at the fork and smiled with gleam. She picked it up and starts combing it until she looked at Eric and Grismby. They were looking at her dumbfounded.
"I'm so sorry. She's having trouble between a comb and a fork." said Madison as she was trying to make an excuse as Ariel felt embarrassed and put the fork down.
Ariel looked up to see Grimsby as he was about to smoke his pipe, which brightens her up.
"Uh, do you like it?" Grimsby asked as he handed the pipe to her, " It is rather fine . . ."
Ariel blows the pipe hard, and a large smoke covered Grimsby's face. Madison giggles as Eric starts laughing.
"Oh my." Carlotta chuckled as she saw the scene.
"So sorry, Grim." said Eric as he cleared his throat.
"Why, Eric, that's the first time I've seen you smile in weeks." said Carlotta.
"Oh, very amusing." said Grimsby as he was wiping his face with his handkerchief, "Carlotta, my dear, what's for dinner?"
"Oooh, you're gonna love it. Chef's been fixing his specialty, stuffed crab and roast beef." she answered.
"Well, while we wait, why not you tell us about yourself and your friend." said Eric as she looked at Madison.
Moments later, Madison told her about herself and where she was from and made up a story of how she met Ariel on the ship. Ariel looked at Madison. Her expression was meaning that it wasn't true at first but realized that she was keeping the whole mermaid secret.
Suddenly, they all heard a huge crash that was coming from the kitchen. Carlotta looked concern.
"I think I'd better go see what Louis is up to." she said and hurried off to the kitchen.
There was silence in the room but as Carlotta came back with a tray full of covered plates and placed them in front of all four.
"You know, Eric, perhaps our young guest and her friend might enjoy seeing some of the sights of the kingdom. Something in the way of a tour?" Grimsby asked.
Eric was only looking at Ariel, he had no idea what the caretaker was saying.
"I'm sorry, Grim, what was that?" he asked as he looked at him.
"You can't spend all your time moping about, you need to get out. Do something, have a life." he said as he lifted the lid, "Get your mind off..."
"Easy, Grim. Easy."
Ariel and Madison spotted Sebastian on Grimsby's plate. Ariel quickly lifts her lid and gesture her hand to Sebastian to come quickly. Madison watched the crab going but notice that he spotted her too but kept on going as he made it to Ariel's plate, Ariel closes the lid and the girls looked at Eric like nothing happened.
"It's not a bad idea. If they're interested." said Eric and looked at the girls, "Well, whaddaya say? Would you two like to join me on a tour of my kingdom tomorrow?"
"We like that." Madison answered and Ariel nod vigorously, leaning heavily on her plate's cover.
"Wonderful, now let's eat, before this crab wanders off my plate." said Grimsby as he was about to eat but saw that his plate was empty except a lettuce. Madison covered her mouth trying not to laugh, cause the crab has already wander off.
After the dinner was done, the girls headed back to bedroom with Sebastian who was hiding in Ariel's dress. As they made it and went inside, Ariel brought Sebastian out and placed him on the vanity.
"Oh! I can't believe I have been through all that!" Sebastian cried out and then looked at Madison. "You! How in the world did you have human legs?! You didn't make a deal with the sea witch!"
Madison rolled her eyes and picked him up with his fingers.
"I think you've done enough right now crustacean. This time this a girl chat between me and Ariel and you're not allowed." she said.
"Hey!" Sebastian cried as Madison placed him in a jewelry box and shut the lid.
She turned to face Ariel, as she looked at her in concern.
"I hope you're ready to hear what I say." she said and Ariel nod.
"I'm not really a mermaid, Ariel. I'm a human." she spoke and starts showing Ariel the necklace. "This necklace here gave me the power to transform. In fact, it has other powers too."
Ariel couldn't believe her ears as she just heard her friend and say the truth and looked at the necklace as she touched the sapphire gem.
"You see, a while ago like a couple of months, a good witch gave me this necklace. At first it was emerald cause it belongs to an evil witch, but when she gave it to me, it turned sapphire. She told me that the necklace have powers and I did discover a few but it makes me think there's more."
Ariel looked at her with a different expression which was curious.
"You're wondering what powers I discover so far, right?" Madison asked and Ariel nod her head. "So far as I remember was protection, transformation- which it was today, go invisible, healing, lights up like a beacon, blast beams, change the color of the gem- on account of wearing different colors, and of course traveling which it can take me anywhere I wish to go."
Ariel was so amazed to hear such powers.
"I'm sorry I lie to you, Ariel. I guess that holding a secret won't keep that long from friends."
The little mermaid looked at Madison and smiled softly as she placed her hand on her cheeck.
"Thanks Ariel." she smiled and the two hugged each other until they heard the sound coming from the vanity.
All turned to see that Sebastian has already open the lid and heard everything.
"Seriously? Your eavesdropping?" Madison asked which a serious look and Sebastian smiled in a sheepish way.
Later that night, as the girls were already in their nightgowns, Madison was already fast asleep while Ariel was out in the balcony looking at Eric as he was playing with Max. He looked up as he saw her and wave to her. Ariel smiled and wave back and went back in.
"This has got to be, without a doubt, the single most humiliating day of my life." said Sebastian as he was cleaning himself.
Ariel was combing her hair with a fork. She put it down on the vanity and patted Sebastian on the head as she was heading towards the bed.
"I hope you appreciate what I go through for you, young lady. Now we got to make a plan to get that boy to kiss you. Tomorrow, when he takes you for that ride, you gotta look your best. You gotta bat your eyes like this. You gotta pucker up your lips like this." the crab said as he was demonstrating from batted his eyes and puckering his lips but then he saw Ariel, already asleep with Madison. He smiled. "You are hopeless child. You know dat? Completely hopeless . . ."
Sebastian blew the candle out hopped on Ariel's pillow until he fell asleep.
