Chapter One: Unexpected Sleepover

"Phone, purse, staff... Ready to head home!" Craig says as he and Alexis are preparing to head home.

"Everything ready Craig?" Alexis asks as she is sitting in wolf form.

"Yep. Tonight's the night. Sloppy Joe night. Gonna sip the slop on the drippity drop. Jason!" Craig shouts in alarm as he and Alexis see Jason.

"What are you doing here?" Alexis asks.

"Trying to get your jump scare badge?" Craig asks.

"Craig." Alexis says as she looks at Craig.

"Jason Uh... No." Jason says.

"Well then are you gonna write us up for something?" Craig asks.

"No! Though I should point out you are storing water balloons too close to a domicile. But I'll let it slide this time." Jason says.

"Thanks. Well have a good night. Come on Alexis." Craig says as he and Alexis begin to walk off before stopping upon hearing a whistle blow.

"Craig, Alexis! I know you and I have had our differences but I need to ask you a favor." Jason says.

"A favor?" Alexis asks as she shifts to human form.

"That's correct." Jason says.

"What kind of favor?" Alexis asks.

"Would it be possible for me to spend the night at your house?" Jason asks.

"At our house?" Craig asks.

"Why?" Alexis asks.

"Yeah. Isn't it a school night?" Craig asks.

"It's just that I forgot to grab my keys this morning and now I'm locked out of my house. And when stuff like this happens I usually ask Tony or Boris if I could stay at their houses. But Tony went home sick after getting that sewing badge removed from his chest and Boris is on vacation at his family's ox farm. And I don't really uh have anyone else I can ask." Jason says nervously.

"Um...Uh well..." Craig says nervously.

"Forget about it. I'll be fine. I'll just spend the night in the Creek. This is the perfect chance to earn my survival shelter badge! Hmm let's see. I just need a few saplings and some leaves for insulation. Ooh! And maybe a little walk-in closet. Ahh! Perfect!" Jason says as he makes a poorly looking stick shelter.

"No Jason. You can come with us." Alexis says as she elbows Craig in the side.

"I guess I could ask our parents when they get home." Craig says.

"I'm fine. Really!" Jason says as his shelter falls apart.

"Yeah. Let's just go to our house." Craig says in disbelief and annoyance.

*Timeskip*

"Uh you want some?" Craig asks as the group arrives home before he grabs a granola bar.

"I don't know. I wouldn't want to spoil my appetite." Jason says.

"Fair enough." Alexis says as she grabs some grapes from the fridge.

"Suit yourself." Craig says as Bernard walks into the room.

"Hey Craig, Alexis who's your friend?" Bernard asks.

"Oh we're...We're not really friends. We're more like um... co-workers." Craig says nervously.

"I have to go help Gibson with the homecoming float. He lost it... in a race... with a motorcycle gang." Bernard says as he looks at his phone.

"Again?" Alexis asks.

"Yeah. So I need you to do the dishes for me before Mom gets home." Bernard says.

"What? That's your chore. Just ask Jessica to do it." Craig says annoyedly.

"I am very busy." Jessica says as she is coloring.

"Jessica doesn't wash dishes. She just runs water over the food." Bernard says.

"That's how you do it." Jessica says proudly.

"I'm not quite sure there correct but at least they're in water and getting a little clean." Alexis says as she smiles slightly.

"Alright fine. I do the dishes for you then you have to take the trash out for me... tonight! 'Cause it's sloppy joe night,

and the only mess I'm tryin' to deal with is the mess on my plate." Craig says as Alexis hears the water running and sees Jason washing the dishes.

"You can't just do me a favor one time?" Bernard asks.

"Trash! Tonight! Take it or leave it!" Craig says.

"This is an emergency!" Bernard says annoyedly.

"Do you know what it's like to get garbage juice on your legs?" Craig asks annoyedly.

"Gibson's life is at stake Craig!" Bernard says angrily.

"And... done." Jason says as he finishes with the dishes.

"Huh?" Craig and Bernard ask confusedly.

"Well works for me." Bernard says as he leaves.

"Jason why did you do the dishes?" Craig asks.

"Yeah. You didn't have to do that." Alexis says.

"I just wanted to save you guys the arguing. Besides it's what a good house guest does." Jason says as he smiles.

"Ahhh. Is it now?" Craig asks as Alexis looks at him.
