"Ahh. The sound of my kids doing their chores. Hoo-hoo! Now that's what I like to hear." A voice says revealing to be Nicole as she walks into the room and sees the group.

"Hey Mom!" Craig says.

"Mom you're back." Alexis says as she is laying in wolf form next to the couch.

"Welcome home Mother!" Jessica says happily.

"Well if y'all are watching TV then who's vacuuming?" Nicole asks confusedly before she sees Jason vacuuming.

"Jason! Don't forget to get under the coffee table." Craig says.

"Craig! What is going on here? It looks like this boy is doing your chores." Nicole says.

"No, no, no, no, no, no, no. Jason here is teaching us about vacuum cord safety. Right Jason?" Craig asks as Alexis gives him an annoyed look before Jason stops vacuuming.

"Now you explain to me what's going on with your little friend here." Nicole says as she looks at Craig.

"Well you see he's not really our... our friend. Um Jason's more of an associate who got locked out of the house and wants to stay the night." Craig says nervously.

"I'm sorry ma'am. A scout never means to put anyone out. If my presence is a burden I can be on my way. You wouldn't mind if I set up camp in the backyard would you?" Jason asks.

"Hold on. Jason was it? Do you have a number of someone I could call?" Nicole asks.

"Oh! Uh... sure." Jason says as he hands Nicole a paper.

"I'll see what's goin' on." Nicole says as she walks out of the room.

"Should I put the vacuum back?" Jason asks.

"Probably a good idea." Alexis saysa s she glares a Craig.

"Family! Oh. Family!' Duane says as he comes into the room and sees Jason.

"Daddy!" Jessica shouts as she runs over to Duane.

"Hello sir!" Jason says kindly.

"Hey baby did we get a house cleaner? Who is a child? I thought the scouts just sold cookies..." Duane says confusedly.

"You have cookies?" Jessica asks as she looks at Jason.

"No cookies Jessica. It's almost time for dinner." Alexis says as Jessica gives an annoyed look.

"This is Jason. He's just a colleague." Craig says.

"He's spending the night!" Jessica shouts.

"Spending the night huh? That's funny 'cause last time I checked it was a Tuesday. Baby it's still Tuesday isn't it?" Duane asks as Nicole comes over.

"Thank you. That's fine. We can take him in tonight. Good night. It's actually a special Tuesday." Nicole says as she gets off the phone.

"Sloppy Joes." Craig says happily as Alexis looks at him.

"So we're having a special guest." Nicole says.

"Sloppy Joes!" Craig shouts.

"Jason how do you feel about...eggplant Parmesan?" Nicole asks.

"Slop... Wait what?! But I thought we were having sloppy Joes tonight!" Craig says disappointedly.

"Since we're having a guest I was thinking we'll have more of a home-cooked meal." Nicole says.

"It sounds delicious Mrs. Williams." Jason says.

"Alright y'all! Let's eat!" Nicole says.

*Timeskip*

"Where you going Jason? Sit down. Stay a while." Duane says as everyone is sitting down to eat.

"Don't play with your food Craig." Nicole says as Craig is playing with his food.

"Do you always eat together at the table?" Jason asks curiously.

"Always. Why?" Alexis asks curiously.

"Well... Boris and Tony's families both eat on the couch and watch TV. And I usually just eat in my room." Jason says.

"Oh. Can I go eat in my room?" Craig asks.

"No." Nicole says.

"Why are they called eggplants?" Jessica asks.

"Because they look like chicken eggs." Bernard says.

"Pfft! You don't know what you're talking about Bernard. You really think a chicken would lay a purple egg? I thought you were taking AP courses. Where did that go?" Craig asks as he chuckles.

"Actually Bernard's right." Jason says as Alexis looks at him.

"Does that mean there are purple chickens?" Jessica asks curiously.

"Well no. There's lots of different sizes and colors of eggplants. Some are small and white and they look just like chicken eggs. So here in North America we call them eggplants. But in other places like Europe they call them aubergines." Jason says.

"Wow. That's pretty cool Jason." Alexis says.

"Yeah Being a scout is great. They teach you all kinds of stuff. Like kayaking, how to tie knots, even how to set up a tent and make a campfire. I like it 'cause you're supposed to help people. But also... if you don't have anyone helping you they teach you how to help yourself." Jason says.

"Heh yeah well, I could never be a scout. I'm too much of a rebel. I don't need no group to tell me how to play outdoors." Craig says as Jessica and Bernard make fun of him over past stuff as everyone but Jason laughs.

"Thanks for dinner Mom." Bernard says.

"Yeah. It was really good." Alexis says.

"Alright y'all go clean up." Nicole says.

"Jason have you met Small Uncle yet?" Jessica asks.

"I've met a big uncle." Jason says as he leaves with Jessica and Bernard.

"Unh-unh. Not you two. Craig why are you being so rude to your friend? Alexis seems to be being nicer than you are right now." Nicole says.

"I told you. He's not our friend. Or at least not mine. And it's super weird that he's here. We don't even know each other like that." Craig says.

"That doesn't matter. He's still our guest." Alexis says as she looks at Craig.

"Alexis is right. Maybe tonight's your chance to change that." Duane says.

"And if you're not gonna treat him like a friend at least treat him like a guest." Nicole says.
