Sasuke sighed as he stopped typing on his keyboard. The book he was supposed to translate wasn't as interesting as he thought and he needed to stop. He wasn't late anyway.

His phone vibrated as the name of Naruto appeared on the screen. He picked up, wondering what was happening, "yes, Naruto?"

"S'ke! I already told Gaara, but I will get home late tonight, we have to go to dinner with a client."

"Okay," he simply said, not able to hide his disappointment. Naruto was a brilliant business manager and loved his job, but it also meant that a lot of times, he was coming home late. Sasuke was staying at Naruto's and Gaara's flat for the week because Naruto said his week was supposed to be a light one and that he wanted to see Sasuke more, so he couldn't help being unhappy by the turn of events.

It hadn't been really hard to convince him to say with them for the week. He loved waking up from Naruto's kiss on his forehead and to sleep next to him every night and having sex with him every night too. Also, he couldn't deny that he liked Gaara's company, more and more. It scared him a bit, not really understanding what he was exactly feeling. He remembered how hard it had been to accept that he had fallen in love with someone who was already with someone else, but Naruto was worth it. He never forced him to do or accept something Sasuke didn't or couldn't do. Naruto was even ready to let him go if Sasuke wasn't happy.

He had thought of it at first. To stop and remain single, but Naruto made him feel things he never thought he could feel, every day was interesting and new, he was not bored anymore, it was easier to tolerate his narrow-minded family. And Gaara… Well, Gaara really wasn't bad at all.

He was smart, calm, but not shy and Sasuke liked the redhead's humor. Of course, he had been jealous at first. The love between Naruto and Gaara was real, it wasn't a whim from Naruto, their relationship was working very well, nothing was missing. Sasuke wasn't an object, a thing to fill a void or to escape reality. Sasuke was there because Naruto loved him, loved him enough to introduce him to one of the most important people in his life, the person Naruto was sharing his life with.

Sooner than he expected, Sasuke loved the time the three of them were spending together, even kind of missed Gaara if he wasn't there. Of course, he loved having his time with Naruto, just the two of them, but more and more, he wanted Gaara to be there too.

"S'ke, please, don't be sad."

"I'm not."

He heard Naruto chuckled, "yes, you are. I promise I will be in bed with you in the morning."

"You better be," he muttered without conviction, happy to hear Naruto laugh even more.

"Yes, Mister Uchiha, I will be there, even naked if you want to."

"I do."

"Okay, naked then," the amusement and the arousal in Naruto's voice made him smirk, "besides, you won't be alone, Gaara is on his way home, he already finished work!"

"Good."

"You like him being around, don't you?"

His cheeks flushed, "I don't hate it."

"I… You know, it means a lot, Sasuke. Thank you."

"You don't have to thank me."

"But I want to. I gotta go, S'ke. I love you."

"I know," he answered, "see you tonight," he added before hanging up.

He stretched out his arms and legs before getting up and going to the kitchen, opening the fridge which was desperately empty. He sighed as he looked at the clock. It was almost 6 PM and he really didn't want to go outside, especially for shopping groceries.

He sighed once again and he felt his phone vibrating once more and he froze when he read the name that was flashing.

Itachi.

It had been a while and their last conversation didn't end well.

He hesitated, but he finally picked up, his heart in his throat, "Itachi."

"Hi, Sasuke. How are you?"

"Fine."

"Good. I'm calling because Mom and Dad are throwing a party next week, on Friday and they will be very happy if you come."

His grip on his phone tightened, "why do they want me here?"

"Sasuke, don't act like this. What they said last time was because they were worried about you."

"Yes, calling their own son a failure because he does a job that they don't approve is a very normal way to say to your son that you are worried about him."

"Sasuke…" Itachi sighed wearily.

"I won't go."

"Don't be a child."

Sasuke tightened his lips in a thin line. He loved his brother as much as he hated him. Itachi was infuriating. Sasuke knew how perfect he was, especially in the eyes of their parents and he couldn't put up with it anymore.

"I won't go," He repeated before hanging up.

Itachi called him back several times before he just shut his phone down, anger making his body shiver. It had been a long time since his family had pissed him off that much. He didn't want to hear about them or to talk to them. He was fed up with their expectations, fed up with the fact they couldn't accept him. When he had told his parents he wanted to be a translator, because he loved books, because he loved writing and giving people the opportunity to discover an incredible story, his parents almost laughed at him, saying it wasn't a real job which in their mouth meant he was earning too little to be a decent person.

He had told them to fuck off, in his own way which meant he studied what he wanted, had the job he wanted, even had his own flat and doing good, as good as he could, but it would never be enough.

He heard the front door open and Gaara was in the living room, looking surprised, "is everything okay, Sasuke?"

"Yes."

"Is it because Naruto won't be here tonight?"

"No, I'm good."

The redhead didn't ask more and Sasuke felt grateful. Gaara always knew when he had to leave someone alone.

"Was your day okay?"

"Yes. The book I'm translating isn't as interesting as I hoped, though."

"Oh?"

"Hm. But it's fine. There will be other books, better ones. You?"

"Same as always," Gaara replied emotionlessly and Sasuke wondered if the redhead was happy with his job. Gaara never really complained, but he didn't seem very interested in it either. He was working in his dad's company and it was very boring. It was as much as Sasuke knew and he never tried to learn more, as he didn't want to force Gaara to talk about something he didn't want to?

The fridge's door opened and he heard Gaara sigh, "what about ordering some take-out tonight?" Gaara suggested.

"Good idea. Want something in particular?" Sasuke asked, taking his phone to look for something interesting on the application.

Gaara sat next to him and leaned toward the screen, his shoulder touching Sasuke's and it made his heart twist in a very strange and knowable way. He could feel his cheeks reddening, but he didn't move, enjoying the touch.

"What about some Indian food? It's been a while."

"It's fine by me."

They quickly ordered some cheese naan and butter chicken and Sasuke almost whined when Gaara distanced himself from him. He felt cold now, but he couldn't just stick to the redhead without a good reason.

"Are you sure you are okay, Sasuke?"

He just groaned. He couldn't say that he just wanted to cuddle and forget about his family and that Naruto wasn't with them, "yes. My brother just called me," Gaara just looked at him, waiting for him to keep going, "my parents want me to go to the party my parents are throwing, next Friday. My parents and I aren't really in good terms."

"Why?"

"They think my job isn't good enough for me and my sexuality… They are disappointed I won't give them grandchildren."

The redhead sighed, looking a bit annoyed, "you do a great job. You also can give them grandchildren. There are many ways."

Sasuke couldn't help but smile, "thank you. They just consider that blood is more important than anything else. My brother doesn't help either, just doing what they want without questioning any of it. They are… Too much."

"I understand. My siblings are too much too," Gaara put a comforting hand on Sasuke's knee, "and I work with them."

"Tough," he replied without thinking, just moving closer to Gaara to feel the touch more.

"Yes."

They stayed like this a few seconds, before many questions crossed Sasuke's mind, "have you told them?"

"Told what to whom?"

"That you… You are polyamorous. To your family."

"I told Temari and Kankuro, yes."

"How… Did they react?" Sasuke asked.

"Temari just asked me how many boyfriends and girlfriends I had and Kankuro didn't understand at first. He's kind of old fashioned, but with time, he just accepted it. He really likes Naruto, now."

Sasuke wondered if Gaara had someone else at the moment and the thought made him feel sick. He really didn't like the idea. Like at all.

He pushed the idea in a corner of his mind. He didn't want to think about it, "what about your parents?" He asked, trying to think about something else.

A sad spark appeared in Gaara's eyes, "They passed away."

"Sorry. I shouldn't have asked."

"You couldn't know. I told Naruto not to say it himself. I want to choose whom I want to talk to about it."

Sasuke took Gaara's hand that still was on his knee and pressed it gently, "thank you for trusting me."

Gaara still looked sad, but gave him a small smile and it warmed Sasuke's heart. Gaara rarely showed emotions and he had one of the sweetest smile Sasuke ever saw. Naruto's smile was bright and warm and Gaara's smile was sweet and shy and he didn't even control his body when it leaned to Gaara, pressing their lips gently together.

It was quick as Sasuke pulled away, feeling ashamed, "I'm sorry, I'm so sorry," he rambled as he tried to get away from Gaara, but the redhead cupped his head and kissed him passionately. Sasuke whimpered, closing his eyes and letting himself go. He could think about what it all meant later, all he wanted to focus on was how Gaara was invading his mouth gently with his tongue.

It was weirdly not sexual. Not once Gaara's hands left his face, not once did his lips left Sasuke's. Gaara seemed to taste him, explore him and nothing more. Not that he minded, as he thought he was going to be rejected, but he never thought this would be all so… Innocent.

The doorbell ringing made him jump a little and he felt disappointment as it meant that whatever was happening had come to an end. He signed when Gaara's pulled away, getting up to get their food.

He could feel his cheeks burning and he noticed the proud look on Gaara's face as he came back in the living room.

"Time to eat."

"Hm," he just shrugged.

The rest of the night was nice. They had watched some movie that he couldn't remember, too occupied looking at Gaara's lips and flushing as he was getting caught. His heart went wild when Gaara took his hand and settled on his shoulder. He felt like an adolescent all over again and he was a bit embarrassed, but also happy to just cuddle. Once again, Gaara didn't make another move and Sasuke didn't know if he was a bit upset about it or not. He wasn't sure he was okay with having sex with Gaara yet, but was he that unattractive to the redhead for him to not even try? Or was he overthinking things again? After all, they just kissed, not telling that they were now something else than Naruto's boyfriend, but…

His thoughts shut down as Gaara captured his lips once again, "you're loud," he whispered against Sasuke's lips, "don't think too much. We have time."

Gaara kissed him again and Sasuke hummed happily. Gaara was right.

They had all the time to think it through.
