Nino lets slip to Alya about Adrien's Celebrity Crush. (set post season 4)

"Babe, come on, stop laughing," Nino pleaded.

"I'm -hicc- sorry -hicc- it's just too–" Alya's eyes were squinted with tears as she was laughing so hard. "It's just too funny!" she barely finished.

"Ok it's not that funny, lots of people have celebrity crushes!" Nino defended.

"HE is a celebrity!" Alya shot back, still holding her stomach trying to stifle her laughter.

"Ok I know it seems like a long shot, but I'm serious, Adrien has a MASSIVE crush on Ladybug, he has like a whole shrine to her in his room!"

"HE HAS A SHRINE!" Alya screeched, covering her face with a couch cushion.

"Oh come on," Nino argued back. "Like Marinette didn't have a cork board of Adrien photos in her room for months!"

"She did finally take it down," Alya countered, trying to control her breathing.

"That's what I'm trying to say!" Nino raised his eyebrows, gesturing vaguely at the air like he was making a presentation. "Marinette was starting to move on when he was dating Kagami–"

"Babe that relationship lasted like two minutes," Alya cut in.

"Yeah so she didn't have time to fully put to rest her feelings for him! But now we know he for sure only thinks of her as a friend, so maybe…"

"Maybe what?"

"Well we are –were– superheroes, babe, we have connections."

"You cannot be serious right now."

"Well kindaaaa… I mean we could, ya know? Like–"

"Let me get this straight," Alya stopped him. Her hands were pressed against each other and held in front of her mouth in contemplation.

"You think we should stop trying to set up Marinette and Adrien, and instead should set up Adrien with Ladybug?" Alya's lips were curled entirely into her mouth as she tried to hold back laughter.

"I really don't know why you think this is so funny," Nino repeated, starting to get annoyed. "I'm best buds with Adrien, I just want my dude to be happy! And you're super close with Ladybug, and you're always saying how she needs to unwind and focus on non-superhero things sometimes, especially these days."

"Ok," Alya said calmly.

"Ok what?"

"Ok, I'm in"

"Just like that?" Nino looked at her with surprise. "I thought you would be harder to convince. I mean I feel bad about Marinette…"

"Marinette will be fine," Alya waved him off. "You're right, it's time she moved on. But how are we going to set up Adrien with a superhero? How do we even start that conversation?"

Nino looked at his girlfriend, a little shocked.

"To be honest," he said, "I didn't think I'd get this far. I was just trying to think of ways to convince you to help, but you came around pretty quick. Suspiciously quick."

An unreadable expression flashed across her face before she quickly covered it with a wide grin.

"You're just so good at convincing people!" Alya exclaimed, her voice pitching up ever so slightly.

Nino narrowed his eyes, clearly not buying it.

"And…" Alya gritted her teeth, as if bracing herself for what she was about to say. "A little birdie might have told me… that Ladybug has a celebrity crush too."

Nino's draw dropped.

"On Adrien?!"

Alya nodded.

"DUDE! NO WAY!" Nino shouted.

"Shhh, keep it down!" Alya shushed him. "Ladybug told me this in confidence!"

"But this is perfect!" Nino replied in an audibly loud whisper. "They both like each other, we can just set them up on a date!"

"Do you think they'd agree to that?" Alya asked.

"We just have to present it in the right light," Nino answered with a mischievous grin.
