~Salvatore Boarding House~
In the Attic Bedroom belonging to the Younger Salvatore Brother, the Ravenette Vampire could be seen standing in the doorway with two steaming mugs of coffee in his hands before making his way towards the slumbering couple cuddled together on the Panel Bed where the Chestnut Haired Vampire had wrapped himself around the Mahogany Haired Fae that had fallen asleep cradled against his broad chest the night prior.
"Rise and Shine, Love Birds!" Damon Salvatore declared with an enthusiastic smile etched across his lips as he approaches the Salvatore/Gilbert Couple.
"What the Hell do you think you're doing?" Stefan Salvatore questioned with an arched brow as he glowered darkly at his Elder Brother even as he deftly lifted the duvet slightly to cover his Fae Girlfriend as an audible whimper escaped her lips at the sudden disturbance, causing he and Damon to glance towards the Gilbert Daughter that had begun to slowly rouse from her slumber.
"Peace offering..." Damon retorted with an unconvincing smirk as he extended one of the coffee mugs in his hands towards his Younger Brother even as his Icy Blue Eyes fought not to openly gawk at the oversized dark Button Down Shirt that practically dwarfed the Doe Eyed Girl's adorably petite figure.
"Not interested." Stefan countered with narrowed eyes as he deftly stood from the Panel Bed without disturbing his Fae Girlfriend before sidestepping the Ravenette Vampire as he made his way towards his Ensuite Bathroom without another glance backwards.
"Alright, I'm sorry..." Damon admitted with an exasperated tone of voice before falling silent as the Gilbert Girl eventually shifted herself into an upright position as she gently rubbed her eyes with her tiny fists, not yet aware of the unyielding Icy Blue Eyes that briefly observed her tired actions with apparent fondness lingering in his gaze. "I've diverted the Founders Council away from suspicion but I will admit that I may have gone about it the wrong way... And to make amends, I'll abstain from Feeding directly from the vein. I'll adapt to Blood Bags for at least the rest of the month in recompense if it'll keep the Ripper buried as he should be..."
"As he should be...?" Amaya Gilbert interjected with an innocent tilt of her head in idle curiosity as to why the Elder Salvatore Brother would insist on such when he himself had been taunting his Younger Brother into Feeding on Human Blood for decades. "That's incredibly dangerous... Repressing his Alter Ego to such an extent as he had when he should have been learning to control the adverse effects of his Ripper Persona is precisely why he struggled so much to begin with... The Ripper of Monterey is as much apart of him as his Humanity. And I'm proud of him for coming to terms with that after so long of denying the truth. As should you, Damon."
As silence descended once more between the Elder Salvatore Brother and the Younger Gilbert Daughter, Stefan spontaneously reappeared from the Ensuite Bathroom in the blink of an eye with one of the embroidered bath towels wrapped firmly around his waist as his lips suddenly connected with her own. And after having allowed themselves to bask in the blissful feel of their passionate embrace, Amaya wavered ever so slightly with the sudden influx of air even as Stefan straightened to tower over her petite figure with an eerie darkness lurking in his Forest Green Eyes that signaled the Ripper of Monterey had surfaced at the unyielding faith the Doe Eyed Girl had in both himself and his Humanity.
"I'm done pretending to be what I'm not, Damon..." Stefan declared with narrowed eyes as he turned his attention towards his scowling Elder Brother even as his fingers deftly threaded through her Mahogany Brown Waves tenderly, causing Amaya to lean into the gentle caress of his hand as her Navy Blue Eyes fluttered closed at the feeling as though she were unwittingly submitting to the Green Eyed Vampire. "And if you make the foolish decision to cross me as you have in the past... Well, I'm sure you can remember quite vividly how brutally that had ended." Stefan paused as his head tilted ever so slightly with an uncharacteristic smirk etched across his lips that caused Damon to visibly stiffen at the reminder of his prior encounters with the Ripper of Monterey when he would deign to reveal himself during an altercation between he and his Younger Brother which more often than not had been less than pleasant for him. "Now... Unless you are willing to divulge whatever diabolical scheme has brought you to Mystic Falls, Maya and I have more pressing matters that are begging for our undivided attention..."
Without further explanation, the Chestnut Haired Man gathered the Mahogany Haired Girl into his arms before flitting into the Ensuite Bathroom at Vampire Speed without another word to the Raven Haired Man that remained rooted to his spot with an expression of bewilderment written across his ageless features as an angelic gasp of surprise echoed through the otherwise silent Attic Bedroom even as the sound of fabric falling to the floor filtered into his sensitive ears followed by the sound of running water and an almost inaudible sigh of contentment that prompted him to flee from the room within the blink of an eye before his rising jealousy urged him to do something he would surely regret with the Ripper of Monterey to contend with.
Meanwhile, within the spacious confines of the Ensuite Bathroom, Stefan had been extra careful when removing his Button Down Shirt from his rather docile Fae Girlfriend as Amaya found herself leaning further into his comforting embrace when he deftly lifted her from the ground until her slender legs wrapped tightly around his waistline even as the towel that had been covering his endowment silently dropped to the tile flooring. However, neither the Gilbert Girl nor the Salvatore Man seemed all too concerned with their indecency at the moment when Stefan entered his Steam Shower as he supported her weight with his arms braced beneath her soft bottom as Amaya rested her head into the crook of his neck without bothering to acknowledge the warm water that had suddenly poured down upon her sensitive skin.
And as the Green Eyed Vampire gently lathered his Doe Eyed Fae in the Cherry Scented Soap that he had invested in for moments such as this, Amaya allowed an almost inaudible hum of sincere contentment to emit from her slightly parted lips as Stefan gently messaged the cleanser into her sodden Mahogany Brown Waves with intimate precision that both calmed her senses and aroused her most intimate elements. Though the gentlemanly Chestnut Haired Man never once allowed his hands to wander no matter how much his most Basic Instincts urged him to mount the Mahogany Haired Girl until the only name she could actively remember were his own...
But there would be time for that...
~Mystic Falls High School~
Later that Morning, the Salvatore/Gilbert Couple had found themselves conversing quietly with the Forbes Daughter as they waited patiently for their joint Third Period Lesson to begin with the shrill sound of the Final Bell. Meanwhile, the Elder Gilbert Twin could be seen sitting towards the back of the classroom by herself as she glowered darkly at her Younger Twin Sister with barely suppressed jealousy for the obvious affection between she and the Younger Salvatore Brother, who had his hand resting gently on her exposed thigh as she spoke happily with her Childhood Best Friend without an ounce of concern for the animosity that she could sense emanating from her Elder Twin Sister.
However, with the Final Bell piercing through the quiet chatter that had long since filled the History Classroom, Amaya tilted her head with idle curiosity when the Recently Awakened Bennett Witch practically sprinted into the room with the Newly Appointed History Teacher trailing calmly behind her with an aged leather satchel hanging from his shoulder as he made his way towards the Teacher's Desk.
"Good Morning, Everyone..." Alaric Saltzman greets politely as he makes his way towards the chalkboard at the front of the classroom before pausing briefly as he writes his name on the blackboard for the benefit of his new students. "Before we begin... My name is Alaric Saltzman... Doesn't exactly roll off the tongue, I know..." Alaric jokingly comments with an authentic smile etched across his lips that had never once graced William Tanner's features his entire career at Mystic Falls High School. "Saltzman is of German Origins. My Family emigrated here in the Mid 1750s to Texas. However, I was born and raised in Boston. Now, the name Alaric comes from my very dead Great-Grandfather, who I'll never be able to thank enough. You'll probably want to pronounce it Al-arick but it's Alar-ick. Alright? But you can call me Ric... I'm your New History Teacher."
With that announcement, Alaric paused momentarily to graze his eyes across his Third Period Class for the briefest moment before finding himself meeting the Navy Blue Eyes of the Younger Gilbert Daughter as she smiled welcomingly towards the Mortal Man. And as the History Lesson officially begins, Amaya reclines further into her Desk Chair as an almost imperceivable tremble wracks through her body at the gentle brush of fingertips against the apex of her spine, causing the Doe Eyed Girl to glance towards her Vampire Boyfriend as the smirk etched across his lips makes an immediate blush appear on her delicate cheeks before she attempts to refocus her attention onto their New History Teacher.
However, it would seem that Stefan were finding immense delight in subtly teasing his Fae Girlfriend as he pretended to pay the utmost attention to their current lesson even as his smirk widens at the faint shivers that his gentle caress induced in her. Though when his fingers deftly trailed to the tender skin of her dainty collarbones, an almost inaudible growl of approval had wrenched itself from his lips when Amaya wavered ever so slightly as her eyes fluttered closed at the titillating sensation that coursed through her entire being. Suffice to assume that, for the Human Doppelganger that had developed an unhealthy obsession with the relationship between the Immortal Fae and Sired Vampire, the amorous behavior constantly exhibited by the Salvatore/Gilbert Couple were more than infuriating to bare witness to.
Once their Lunch Period had come around, the Forbes/Gilbert Best Friend Duo had excused themselves from the Younger Salvatore Brother's presence as Stefan briefly returned to the Salvatore Boarding House to ensure that his Elder Brother were not causing any unnecessary havoc. Meanwhile, Amaya and Caroline had exchanged glances between themselves when the Bennett/Gilbert Best Friend Duo had joined them at their normal Picnic Table in the School Courtyard as the Newly Awakened Ancestral Witch explained the hauntings that she had been enduring since receiving an Antique Crystal Necklace from the Monroe Daughter.
"Then I ended up at the remains of the old Fells Church before I woke up back in the woods..." Bonnie Bennett explained with an audible sigh of exhaustion as she glanced fleetingly between her Childhood Best Friend and the Forbes/Gilbert Duo.
"And your Ancestor, Emily Bennett, has been in every vision since the nightmares begun...?" Amaya queried with an innocent tilt of her head in curiosity as she examined the Bennett Girl with vigilant eyes, immediately noticing the poorly concealed dark circles that had etched themselves beneath her Caramel Brown Eyes.
"Yeah." Bonnie muttered with an affirmative nod of her head towards the inquisitive Younger Gilbert Daughter before averting her gaze towards her Elder Twin Sister once more. "Do you believe in Ghosts?"
"Two weeks ago, I'd say no but now..." Elena Gilbert retorted with an absentminded shrug of her shoulders as she threaded her fingers through her straightened Mahogany Brown Hair in slight frustration.
"Yes." Caroline Forbes interjected in tandem with her Immortal Fae Bestfriend before pausing as she and Amaya exchange amused glances between themselves.
"I think I'm being haunted." Bonnie admitted with an obvious desperation lilting her tone of voice as she basically pleads with her Caramel Brown Eyes for the Gilbert Twins and Forbes Daughter to believe her.
"I don't understand though... Why Emily?" Caroline questioned with furrowed brows of genuine confusion as her Sky Blue Eyes darted from the frightened Ancestral Witch towards the contemplative Immortal Fae while the suspiciously quiet Human Doppelganger remained silent for the most part of their discussion.
"Grams said she was pretty powerful back in the Civil War days and that this medallion was hers... Some kind of Witch's Talisman." Bonnie explained with an absentminded shrug of her shoulders as her hand grasped tightly onto the Antique Necklace around her neck.
"And it all started when you got the necklace...?" Elena countered with an apparent frown of suspicion etched across her features as she glanced towards the Amber Crystal with distaste.
"I think she's using it to communicate with me." Bonnie retorted with an affirmative nod of her head in agreement with the assertion as her own Carmel Brown Eyes darted towards the Antique Necklace with an obvious fear lingering in her gaze.
"Mmm..." Amaya hummed with an unfocused glimmer within her Navy Blue Eyes as every ounce of her being tensed as an eerie sense of darkness emanated from the Amber Crystal that had been causing the Newest Bennett Witch such problems. "Have you spoken with your Grams about the visions that you've been having...?"
"I can't tell her. She's just gonna tell me to embrace it... I don't want to embrace it. I want it to stop." Bonnie retorted with unabashed desperation lilting her tone of voice as she glanced briefly towards the Younger Gilbert Twin with tired eyes before directing her attention towards her Childhood Best Friend once more as Elena silently nodded her head in understanding.
"I think you should speak with your Grams, Bonnie..." Amaya insisted gently with an innocent tilt of her head as she gazed at the Bennett Daughter with apparent concern that would not persist long if the previous history between the Ancestral Witches and the Immortal Fae were any indication. "Paranormal Activity, such as Spiritual Hauntings, are quite uncommon... Even amongst the Supernatural Factions-"
"You don't understand, Amaya." Bonnie interjected angrily with narrowed eyes as she glowered darkly at the Doe Eyed Fae, causing Amaya to pause momentarily with slightly widened eyes at the sudden animosity directed towards her by the Young Bennett Witch. "You're no Witch."
"You are absolutely correct..." Amaya declared strongly as her Navy Blue Eyes darkened ever so slightly at the unwarranted attack on her character. "I'm not an Ancestral Witch. But I do happen to have far more knowledge of the Supernatural Element than you could ever fathom... So, you could either accept my advice and speak with your Grams about the experiences that you've been having with Emily Bennett's Magick Talisman... Or you could continue to suffer due to your inability to recognize that someone other than yourself has more insight on matters such as these... It's your choice."
Without further comment from the Doe Eyed Fae, Amaya promptly stands from her seat at the Picnic Table as she places her satchel onto her shoulder while Caroline silently follows her lead as they ignore the sudden tension from the Bennett/Gilbert Duo. Meanwhile, Bonnie cannot help openly gawking at the uncharacteristic outburst from the Younger Gilbert Twin even as Elena blatantly glowers at the Forbes/Gilbert Duo as they take their leave without uttering another word. And as the Younger Gilbert Twin approached the School Entrance with the Forbes Daughter at her side, their path happened to cross with that of the Donovan Son as he made his way towards the Student Car Park with some of his Varsity Teammates.
"Hey." Matt Donovan greeted as he nodded his head towards the Forbes/Gilbert Duo without stopping on his journey to the Parking Lot.
"Hey..." Caroline muttered with an obvious dejected glimmer in her Sky Blue Eyes before she suddenly turned to be facing Matt, causing Amaya to pause momentarily with an innocent tilt of her head in idle curiosity of the weird tension between her Childhood Best Friend and her Elder Twin Sister's Ex-Boyfriend. "What is that?"
"What is what?" Matt questions with furrowed brows of confusion as he paused in his journey towards the Student Car Park to glance towards the Forbes Girl.
"Hey...? That's twice now... Do you have any other words in your vocabulary?" Caroline retorted with an arched brow as she crossed her arms before her chest while Amaya remained silent in the background, offering moral support for her Lifelong Best Friend on such occasion that she would need it.
"What's wrong with 'Hey'...?" Matt queried with furrowed brows of confusion as to why the Forbes Girl suddenly seemed so upset.
"It reeks of awkward subtext... You spent the night in my bed! There was cuddling! And then you sneak out before Dawn so you wouldn't have to face me, which I can only assume is some kind of Lame-Guy-Move that I did not appreciate. And now with the 'Hey'...? Seriously?" Caroline ranted with an exaggerated flourish of her hands in frustration of the unexpected tension between she and Matt since he had rescued her from being taken advantage of during the High School Party at the Mystic Grill that Weekend.
"I heard your Mom coming home the next Morning and I didn't want to get you in trouble so I went out the window..." Matt admitted with an absentminded shrug of his shoulders as he stepped closer towards the irate Varsity Cheerleading Captain.
"You went out the window? Another Lame-Guy-Move." Caroline countered with an unimpressed scoff as she crossed her arms before her chest once more as an annoyed scowl etches itself across her features.
"Your Mom's the Sheriff! And as for the "Hey"... I'm pretty sure it's what I've said to you everyday since the First Grade." Matt interjected with an arched brow directed towards the Forbes Girl as Caroline visibly deflated in embarrassment. "Trying to read something into it? Lame-Girl-Move."
Without further comment from the Donovan Son on the matter, Matt resumed his prior journey towards the Student Car Park once more while Caroline turned around to face her Immortal Fae Best Friend with an obvious sheepishness to her expression as an immediate blush tinted her cheeks, causing Amaya to smile reassuringly towards her Mortal Companion before nodding her head in the direction of the School Entrance that they had been approaching moments earlier.
However, as the Forbes/Gilbert Duo were making their way through the crowded corridors with their arms intertwined, Amaya suddenly stiffened as her Navy Blue Eyes are immediately ensconced in an iridescent swirling Pure White Whirlpool that indicated she had been swept away into an unexpected vision, prompting Caroline to glance towards the rowdy teenagers that were surrounding she and the Younger Gilbert Girl. And once having managed to maneuver the immobile Doe Eyed Fae into an alcove that were barely hidden from view, the Forbes Girl deftly retrieved her mobile from her satchel before dialing the phone number of the Younger Salvatore Man as she continues to glance between Amaya and the bustling crowd of Humans with worry.
"Hello?" The voice of Stefan Salvatore filtered through the cellphone with an apparent tone of confusion, causing the Forbes Daughter to breathe an audible sigh of relief when he answered within seconds.
"Stefan?" Caroline whispered ever so quietly as her Sky Blue Eyes continued darting between the entranced Doe Eyed Fae and the encroaching threat of possible onlookers. "Amaya was startled by her Foresight triggering in the middle of the school and there is an entire crowd of students that are seconds away from discovering us."
"Where are you?" Stefan countered as he begun making his way towards the School Entrance from where he had been waiting to meet with his Fae Girlfriend and her Human Best Friend.
"An alcove between the Geometry and Chemistry Labs on the 300 Hallway." Caroline retorted with an anxious tone of voice as her nerves continued to waver with the lingering panic of their chances at being discovered by an overly curious High School Student.
"I'm on my way." Stefan declared with an apparent fierceness lurking in the depths of his Forest Green Eyes at the mere thought of the threat to his Fae Girlfriend should someone happen to learn of her Mystical Heritage.
Meanwhile, the Doe Eyed Fae had been momentarily swept away into the spontaneous vision as it would seem that her Foresight had been quite determined to warn her of the altercation that would be happening between the Newly Awakened Bennett Witch and Elder Salvatore Vampire.
~Vision~
In the School Courtyard on the edge of the Junior Student Car Park, the Bennett Daughter could be seen making her way towards her vehicle with her schoolbooks clutched tightly to her chest as she seemed to glance around at her surroundings in search of an invisible threat. However, as she turned her attention towards the direction she had been walking once more, the Recently Awakened Ancestral Witch were suddenly confronted with the sight of the Ravenette Vampire as he appeared directly in front of her with his crossed before his broad chest as the corner of his lips upturned at the corners into an amused smirk.
"Last chance..." Damon Salvatore taunts with an innocent tilt of his head as the Bennett Witch flinches away from him with widened eyes.
"I'm gonna scream." Bonnie Bennett threatens as her arms tighten ever so slightly around her textbooks before sidestepping the Elder Salvatore Vampire and resuming her hurried journey towards her vehicle.
"Let us not make empty threats..." Damon retorts with an exaggerated eyeroll as he immediately follows after the frightened Caramel Eyed Girl. "I do believe that you have something that is mine..."
"I don't know what you're talking about and even if I did... I wouldn't give it back to you." Bonnie snips with narrowed eyes of resentment directed towards the Icy Blue Eyed Man.
"And that would be your mistake since I only want to help you-" Damon countered with feigned sincerity as he easily followed the Bennett Daughter through the nearly empty Student Parking Lot before being rudely interrupted.
"I don't need your help." Bonnie denied with finality as she turned her head slightly to glower darkly at the insistent Elder Salvatore Son that refused to leave her alone.
"And that would be yet another mistake you've made and you haven't even realized it yet. And you know why, Little Witch...?" Damon paused briefly as he effortlessly blocked her access to her vehicle by maneuvering himself between the inexperienced Ancestral Witch and her vehicle that she had made an immediate beeline for. "Because you've stumbled into something that you shouldn't have."
"Just leave me alone or I swear-" Bonnie threatens once more with narrowed eyes of barely suppressed fear before being interrupted by the Sired Vampire as he cornered her against the neighboring car.
"No. No. No... Not threats." Damon interjects with an enigmatic smirk as he presses his hand against the car door, effectively trapping her between himself and the vehicle behind her in such manner that passersby would assume to be an intimate moment between Lovers. "A. I promised my Little Brother and his Darling Amaya that I'd be on my best behavior. B. I truly wish to do you no harm... Believe it or not, Bonnie... I'm protecting you. If you'll allow me, I would be more than willing to help you rid yourself of Emily Bennett."
"How do you know about her?" Bonnie counters with furrowed brows of confusion as she stares into his Icy Blue Eyes with apparent suspicion for how the Raven Haired Man knew that she were being haunted by her Distant Ancestor.
"I know more than you realize... And I know that she's been using that Amber Crystal around your neck to burrow her way into your mind without you even knowing it..." Damon taunts as the smirk on his lips broadens ever so slightly at the blatant fear that had appeared in the depths of her Caramel Brown Eyes. "You feel how scared you are...? And you should be... Because I will have that crystal. Even if I have to wait for Emily to bring it to me herself... So, the next time she makes an appearance, you remind her that we had an agreement... And I expect her to keep her word as I have mine."
Without further comment from the Elder Salvatore Brother, Damon reaches behind him to open the Driver Side Door for the Bennett Girl before resting his forearms against the doorframe as he deftly nodded his head towards the vehicle, indicating that Bonnie were more than free to enter her car now that their brief conversation had come to an end. And once having settled behind the wheel, Damon calmly stepped back as the vehicle backed out of the Parking Space before quickly disappearing from the Junior Student Car Park in her desperate bid to escape his threatening presence.
~Vision Scene Change~
Shortly after the altercation between the Ravenette Vampire and Caramel Eyed Ancestral Witch, the Elder Gilbert Twin could be seen sitting in the Passenger Seat of her Childhood Best Friend's car as the Bennett Daughter recounted her recent encounter with the Elder Salvatore Son in the Junior Student Car Park at Mystic Falls High School.
"He's bad news, Elena. He really scared me." Bonnie Bennett admitted with an expression of unabashed fear as she glanced briefly towards the GIlbert GIrl before directing her attention towards the road in front of her once more.
"You need to stay as far away from Damon as possible." Elena Gilbert suddenly declared with apparent urgency lilting her tone of voice as she gazed worriedly at the Bennett Girl for the odd interest that the Elder Salvatore Brother seemed to have in the Bennett Family Talisman that the Monroe Daughter had nicked from him during the Founders Council Celebration.
"I'm trying! He just keeps showing up!" Bonnie interjected with an expression of combined panic and frustration etched across her features as she struggles to focus on the road before her.
"I don't want you to be alone. You're sleeping at mine tonight. We can make an entire night of it." Elena suggested with an unconvincing smile of reassurance directed towards her obviously hesitant Childhood Best Friend.
As silence descended between the Bennett/Gilbert Duo once more, Bonnie found herself gazing down at the Antique Crystal Necklace that were resting against her chest before abruptly pulling her car onto the side of the road with an expression of sheer determination etched across her features.
"What are you doing?" Elena questioned with furrowed brows of confusion as she gawked at the Caramel Eyed GIrl in complete shock.
However, the Bennett Witch seemed none too concerned with answering the Gilbert Girl as she promptly exited the Driver Seat of her car before making her way around the front of the vehicle in the direction of an empty field that lined the backroad that she had veered off. And without an ounce of hesitation, Bonnie silently wrenched the Amber Crystal from around her neck in one quick fluid motion and tossed the troublesome piece of jewelry as far into the open pasture as she possibly could, after which she heaved an audible sigh of relief as she returned to her car once more with an apparent satisfaction etched across her features.
"Are you okay...?" Elena queried with uncertainty lilting her tone of voice as she watched the Bennett Girl silently fasten her seatbelt.
"I am now. All my problems were because of that thing... I can't believe I didn't do that sooner." Bonne retorted with an absentminded shrug of her shoulder as she grasped onto the steering wheel as she prepared to resume their journey towards the Gilbert Family Residence.
"What's your Grams gonna say?" Elena asked with an arched brow as her thoughts whirled with how inisitent the Elder Bennett Witch had been on the importance of the Amber Crystal if what she had heard from the Younger Bennett Witch were any indication.
"Grams isn't the one being haunted by the 150-Year-Old Ghost, is she...?" Bonnie interjected with an unconcerned glimmer in her Caramel Brown Eyes as glanced towards the Gilbert Girl before averting her gaze towards the road once more as veered away from the gravel pulloff.
"Okay then..." Elena muttered with an audible sigh of resignation as she turned her eyes towards the window, not knowing how else to respond to the unexpected actions of her Childhood Best Friend.
And without further comment from either the Newly Awakened Ancestral Witch or the Human Petrova Doppelganger, silence descended between the Bennett/Gilbert Duo once more as Elena found herself glancing towards the Caramel Eyed GIrl with obvious suspicion as Bonnie silently continued to steer them towards the Gilbert Residence seemingly unconcerned for the looks she were garnering from the Dark Eyed Girl.
~Mystic Falls High School~
Once having been released from the spontaneous vision, the Doe Eyed Fae tilted her head in idle curiosity for that of which she had bore witness to while the Green Eyed Vampire and Blue Eyed Mortal silently observed her for the briefest moment, allowing her the chance to gather her wits about herself before addressing whatever events had been important enough to bypass her Mental Shields.
"Amaya... Baby...?" Stefan whispered gently against the shell of her ear in an attempt to divert her attention from her rampant thoughts, causing the Gilbert Girl to glance towards him as her eyes fluttered in the aftereffects of her Foresight. "What happened?"
"Damon..." Amaya retorted with an uncharacteristic frown etched across her angelic features as her thoughts whirled with that of which she had been made aware of. "He seems suspiciously interested in Bonnie as of recently."
"What could he possibly want with Bonnie?" Stefan queried with furrowed brows of confusion as he averted his Forest Green Eyes away in thoughtful contemplation.
"She had this Antique Necklace. Amelia had apparently stolen it from Damon after the Founders Party and she gave it to Bonnie. And now he's wanting it back." Caroline explained as she looked between her Childhood Best Friend and her Vampire Boyfriend as she recalled having heard of the conflict between the Monroe Daughter and the Bennett/Gilbert Duo during the High School Party at the Mystic Grill the Weekend prior.
"He's tormenting her, Stefan..." Amaya interjected with an annoyed scowl etched across her angelic features as her Navy Blue Eyes connected with his own Forest Green Eyes, causing Stefan to thread his fingers through her Mahogany Brown Hair in an effort to calm her frustration with being unable to discern the motives behind the Elder Salvatore Brother's actions.
"Over some necklace...?" Stefan queried with furrowed brows of confused disbelief as his mind whirled with the disconnect between what he knew of his Elder Brother and what he had recently learned.
"It's not just any necklace. It had to do with Bonnie's Family Heritage... It apparently belonged to one of her Ancestors that lived here during the Civil War-" Caroline explained with an expression of thoughtful contemplation as she wracked her brain for the minimal details that she had garnered from the conversations she had overheard between the Ancestral Witch and Human Doppelganger.
"When you and Damon had lived here as Humans." Amaya interjected with an innocent tilt of her head as she glanced towards her Vampire Boyfriend with widened eyes at the sudden realization.
"Her name was Emily Bennett. She had been Katherine Pierce's Primary Handmaiden... And an Ancestral Witch." Stefan admitted with an affirmative nod of his head in silent acknowledgement of the lingering gazes of his Fae Girlfriend and her Human Best Friend.
"Why would Damon care so much about some necklace?" Caroline questioned with furrowed brows of confusion as she glanced between the contemplative Younger Gilbert Twin and silently brooding Salvatore Brother.
"Could you describe it for me?" Stefan suggested as he connected his Forest Green Eyes with his Doe Eyed Girl's own Navy Blue Eyes.
"It's an Antique Iron Setting with an-" Amaya responded with an idle tilt of her head as an image of the Antique Necklace filtered through her mind before being drawn away from her thoughts rather abruptly.
"With an Amber Crystal... I've seen it before. Emily had gifted it to Katherine on the Morning that Fells Church burned during the Battle of WIllow Creek." Stefan divulged with an audible sigh of resignation that everything always seemed to revert to their Ex-Lover/Sire.
"What does Damon want with the necklace?" Caroline reiterated with an arched brow as she and Amaya exchanged brief glances at the constant reference to the Gilbert Twins' Vampire Ancestor.
"I have no idea..." Stefan admitted with complete honesty as he threaded his fingers through his Chestnut Brown Hair in frustration before shaking his head as though to clear his mind of rather troublesome thoughts. "Let me speak with Damon..."
"But-" Amaya begun with furrowed brows of concern as she recalled vividly how vindictive the Elder Salvatore Brother could be when the matter pertained to Katerina Petrova.
"I'll be fine, Baby..." Stefan assured with an affectionate smile etched across his lips as he gazed down upon his Doe Eyed Girl with fondness, his hand coming to brush the fallen strands of her Mahogany Brown Hair behind her diamond pierced ear.
At the gentle reassurance of the Younger Salvatore Brother, Amaya allowed an uneasy smile to spread across her features as she silently nodded her head in acceptance before allowing her Navy Blue Eyes to flutter closed as Stefan leaned forward to brush his lips against the soft skin of her forehead, lingering longer than were ultimately necessary but otherwise not caring too much as he savored to content sigh that had filtered through her slightly parted lips. And once the Green Eyed Vampire had disappeared from the alcove that had hidden their rather abrupt rendezvous, Caroline intertwined her arm through the Doe Eyed Fae's own as she smiled comfortingly at AMaya as they resumed their journey through the crowded corridors once more.
~Mystic Grill~
At the Open Bar of the Mystic Grill, the Elder Salvatore Brother could be found sipping from an idling tumbler of Aged Bourbon as his Younger Brother approaches him from behind without any semblance of emotion to be seen on his ageless features. And when the Younger Salvatore Brother settled onto an empty barstool at the counter, his Elder Brother merely glanced towards him with an arched brow before returning his attention to his glass as the Temporary Bartender made his way towards the new customer.
"Bourbon. Neat." Stefan requested casually as he leaned his forearms against the Bar Counter as his Forest Green Eyes dilated with the minor Compulsion, prompting the slightly dazed Barman to nod his head in acknowledgement of the unspoken order as he placed an empty tumbler onto the counter in front of the Younger Salvatore Brother that had directed his emotionless gaze towards his Elder Brother. "Taken to Day Drinking, have you?"
"I'm on edge...Change in diet... An honest endeavoring to stay below the radar at the moment... Assuage suspicion so to speak." Damon retorted with an obviously sarcastic smirk etched across his lips as he tipped his glass towards his Younger Brother in mock salute.
"You could always leave, Damon... Find another town to turn into your own personal Gas 'N' Sip..." Stefan suggested with an arched brow as he turned slightly on his barstool to be facing the Raven Haired Man.
"I'll manage... You need not keep an eye on me, Little Brother." Damon taunted with an annoyed scowl etched across his features as he glanced towards the Chestnut Haired Man. "I'm sure you have much more pressing matters to attend to... Perhaps by the name of Amaya...?"
"Why would I be keeping an eye on you...?" Stefan queried as an uncharacteristic smirk spread across his lips as his Elder Brother watched him somewhat cautiously after the earlier revelation of just how close to the surface the Ripper of Monterey had come as of recently.
Without uttering another word, the Younger Salvatore Brother snatched the bottle of Bourbon from the countertop before turning and making his way towards the Dark Boards at the back of the Bar & Grill. And after several moments of consideration, his Elder Brother eventually stood from his barstool with his partially emptied tumbler grasped in his hand as he made to follow him towards the darkened alcove that he had headed in the direction of with an amused tone lingering in the depths of his Icy Blue Eyes.
"I'm onto you... Reverse Psychology... Somewhat transparent but I admire your effort." Damon taunted with an enigmatic smirk etched across his lips as he leaned himself against one of the unclaimed Standing Tables that had been placed near the Dart Boards.
"Would you prefer the more brutal tactics in my repertoire...?" Stefan retorted with an arched brow directed towards his Elder Brother before tilting his head to the side ever so slightly with gratification as he noticed the Ravenette Vampire's expression wavering almost imperceptibly at the subtle threat.
"Alright... What exactly are you playing at?" Damon countered as he actively avoided reacting to the rhetorical question that had been posed to him by his Younger Brother even as he attempted subtlety at distancing himself from the slightly unhinged Chestnut Vampire.
"That's an ironic question... Considering I've been asking you that for months now... Frustrating, is it not?" Stefan retaliated with an amused tone of voice as he crossed his arms before his broad chest while leveling his Elder Brother with an amused smirk.
"Touché..." Damon quipped with an unimpressed glower directed towards his Younger Brother as he pushes himself away from the table to approach the Dart Board.
~Gilbert Residence~
In the Gilbert Family Kitchen, the Forbes/Gilbert Duo could be seen silently distributing the Take Away Dinner that had been ordered from the Mystic Grill for the quartet of teenage girls while the Bennett/Gilbert Duo observed their actions from where they had perched themselves at the Kitchen Island. And suffice to assume, the thick tension that seemed to weigh quite heavily in the air could only be contributed to the earlier conflict between the Immortal Fae and Ancestral Witch.
"Okay... There is just way too much drama in this room." Caroline declares rather abruptly as she rested her forearms against the surface of the Kitchen Island with an exaggerated eyeroll in an attempt to lessen the strain between the Younger Gilbert Twin and the Bennett Daughter. "Are we doing Manicures or what...? Who has their kit...?"
"Mine's in my bag." Bonnie retorted with an almost unnoticeable nod of her head towards the Dinner Table where she had left her school bag earlier that Afternoon.
As the Forbes Daughter makes her way towards the Adjoined Dining Room, Amaya tilted her head to the side in idle curiosity of the unrelenting glare being directed towards her from her Elder Twin Sister as well as the Bennett Daughter, prompting the Younger GIlbert Twin to arch her brow at the petty Human Doppelganger and Ancestral Witch that were evidently trying to intimidate her into apologizing for her comments during their Lunch Period earlier that day.
However, when an audible gasp of alarm filtered through the otherwise silent Kitchen Area from the Attached Dining Room, the Bennett/Gilbert Duo were abruptly distracted from their futile glaring at the Younger Gilbert Girl as all attention turned towards where the Forbes Girl had found herself staring into the unzipped inner pocket of the aged leather satchel belonging to the Bennett Witch with widened eyes of frightened disbelief.
"What?" Elena queried with furrowed brows of confusion as to what had elicited that kind of reaction from the Honey Blonde Haired Girl.
Without responding to the Elder GIlbert Daughter in words, Caroline silently reached into the inner pocket of the leather bag before revealing the all too familiar Antique Crystal Necklace with trembling hands, causing the Bennett Daughter to stumble backwards with widened eyes of unabashed fear lingering in the depths of her Caramel Brown Eyes as she openly gawked at the Witch Talisman that had thought would no longer be able to haunt her.
Meanwhile, the Forbes Girl found her Sky Blue Eyes connecting with the Navy Blue Eyes of her Lifelong Best Friend as Amaya tilted her head to the side ever so slightly as her Fae Magick surged with the reappearance of the Amber Crystal that had been causing the Newly Awakened Bennett Witch such trouble. And for reasons unknown to the Immortal Fae, every ounce of her being were urging her to be cautious of the Earth Magick that were permeating the very air that surrounded the Bennett Family Heirloom.
"What the Hell?" Elena suddenly whispered beneath her breath with an expression of confusion etched across her features as she glanced from the Antique Necklace towards her frightened Witch Best Friend.
"No... This can't be happening." Bonnie muttered with apparent desperation lilting her tone of voice as she actively avoided coming anywhere near the piece of jewelry. "How...?"
"Emily...?" Amaya interjected with an arched brow as she directed her inquisitive gaze towards the inexperienced Ancestral Witch.
"No, it can't be her..." Bonnie denied with an almost unnoticeable shake of her head as her Caramel Brown Eyes remained focused on the Amber Crystal before suddenly glancing towards the Elder Gilbert Daughter with pleading eyes. "Why won't she leave me alone?"
With an absentminded shake of her head in response to the fearful desperation of her Childhood Best Friend, Bonnie visibly trembled as she abandoned the Take Away Dinner that were sitting on the Kitchen Island as she made her way into the Adjoined Sitting Area with Elena following behind her. And once the Forbes/Gilbert Best Friend Duo had exchanged brief glances between themselves, Caroline deftly deposited the Amber Crystal onto the countertop before she and Amaya cautiously entered the Family Den to find the Bennett/Gilbert Duo seated together on the sofa.
"Okay, there is way too much fear and tension in this room... So, what do you guys want to do?" Elena questioned with an arched brow as she glanced from the obviously frightened Bennett Witch towards the suspiciously calm Immortal Fae and partially rattled Mortal Girl before sitting forward suddenly as an idea crossed her mind. "I know... Why don't we have a Séance?"
"Elena-" Amaya begun with furrowed brows of uncertainty as she exchanged hesitant glances with her Mortal Best Friend before finding herself looking towards the Kitchen Island where the Amber Crystal had been left sitting on the countertop.
"Oh, come on... Let's summon some Spirits. This Emily chick had some serious explaining to do." Elena interjected with an amused smirk etched across her lips at the apparent fear that lingered in her Younger Twin Sister's gaze while completely disregarding the sudden stiffening of her own Witch Best Friend's posture at the mere suggestion.
~Mystic Falls High School Football Field~
Once darkness had descended across Mystic Falls, the Salvatore Brothers had found themselves visiting the High School Football Field with the Ravenette Vampire carrying the bottle of Aged Bourbon that they had nicked from the Mystic Grill while the Chestnut Vampire tossed an old football between his hands.
"What are we doing here?" Damon asked with an apparent boredom lilting his tone of voice as he followed his Younger Brother across the green turf.
"Bonding..." Stefan retorted with an enigmatic smirk etched across his lips as he turned to be facing his Elder Brother until he were walking backwards across the field. "Here. Catch!" Stefan paused briefly as he threw the football through the air in the direction that Damon were standing with minimal use of his Enhanced Strength. "Well... What are you waiting for?"
"Need I remind you who taught you this game...?" Damon queried rhetorically after having caught the ball with no effort before stopping momentarily to place the bottle of Bourbon in his hand on the ground, after which he adjusted his hold on the football as he walked across the turf in his Younger Brother's direction.
When the Elder Salvatore Brother tapped into his own Enhanced Strength to propel the football towards the opposite Goal Post, Damon flitted across the Football Field in the direction that the ball were soaring with his Vampire Speed before suddenly being thrown roughly to the ground by his Younger Brother. And while the Ravenette Vampire groaned in pain from where he had landed, Stefan towered above his Elder Brother with his arms crossed before his broad chest as an amused smirk etched itself across his lips at the disappearance of the usually cocky demeanor that had caused more than one altercation in the past.
"I'm impressed, Stefan... Distraction by booze and darts. Sentimental with football. And now...? Starry Night." Damon taunted with an exaggerated flourish of his hands towards the glittering sky above before suddenly pushing himself into an upright position as he leveled his Younger Brother with an arched brow. "What do you want?"
"It hadn't been real, Damon... Our feelings for Katherine... She Compelled us. We had no choice in the matter... I spent decades working through that to truly understand what she had done to us." Stefan admitted with an emotionless tone of voice that did nothing to hide his displeasure at having to broach the subject of their Ex-Love/Vampire Sire when all he wanted was to leave that part of his existence to the depths of history.
"No. No. No... There is no way in Hell we are not hashing that out tonight, Stefan." Damon denied with an annoyed scowl etched across his ageless features as he forced himself to his feet as he glowered darkly at his Younger Brother before turning to make his way towards the edge of the Football FIeld.
"What do you want with the Amber Crystal that Katherine received from Emily Bennett?" Stefan demanded with eerie harshness hidden in the depths of his Forest Green Eyes for the unyielding chaos that always seemed to follow the Ravenette Vampire.
"How do you know about that?" Damon retorted with an arched brow as he turned his Icy Blue Eyes towards the Chestnut Vampire that had not moved an inch from his rigid place several feet behind him.
"Come now... You must have suspected that Amaya would find out one way or another..." Stefan countered with an eyeroll without bothering to withhold the Younger Gilbert Girl's involvement since he knew that his Elder Brother held his Fae Girlfriend in high esteem and would never truly endeavor to cause her harm.
"How did you know it belonged to Katherine? Emily had given it to her mere hours before Fells Church burned... I had been with her. Not you." Damon taunted with an unconvincing smirk etched across his lips as he actively avoided thinking about the Doe Eyed Girl that tested his restraint more than anyone ever had before.
"I had been with her when she were captured, Damon..." Stefan admitted with complete honesty as the forced smirk that had been on his Elder Brother's features abruptly disappeared at the admission. "Now... What do you want with the crystal...?"
"You mean she never spoke with you about what she were planning behind closed doors...?" Damon queried with an arched brow of feigned smug satisfaction as he stepped towards his genuinely unconcerned Younger Brother.
"We were otherwise distracted, Damon..." Stefan retorted with an absentminded shrug of his shoulders that did nothing to lessen the prominent scowl that had immediately appeared across the Ravenette Vampire's features mere seconds before he flitted towards the Chestnut Vampire at Vampire Speed until their faces were only centimeters apart.
"I could rip your heart from your chest and not think twice of it." Damon threatened as his Icy Blue Eyes glowered darkly into his Younger Brother's own Forest Green Eyes with unabashed resentment.
"I've heard that before..." Stefan countered with an uncharacteristic smirk etched across his lips as he stepped forward to tower over his Younger Brother, causing Damon to clench his jaw with the mere restraint needed not to withdraw from the intimidating aura that currently surrounded the Green Eyed Man.
"I have an even better surprise, Stefan..." Damon admits with an exaggerated flourish of his hands as he subtly retreats from the threatening atmosphere that were emitting from the Younger Salvatore Brother. "She's not truly gone."
"What do you mean she's not truly gone...?" Stefan queried with furrowed brows of confusion as he followed his Elder Brother across the Football Field towards the School Courtyard.
"Before Fells Church burned... Do you remember how life had been in Mystic Falls...?" Damon questioned as he turned to face his Younger Brother with an accomplished smirk etched across his lips.
"I remember the fear and hysteria." Stefan admitted with an affirmative nod of his head as his mind whirled with memories of his Human Life that he had long since buried.
"The Founding Families were targeting Vampires one by one... When rumors begun circulating the town of what the Founders Council were planning, I bargained with Emily Bennett to protect Katherine by whatever means necessary... Long story short, she hadn't needed much convincing to agree." Damon confessed with an absentminded shrug of his shoulders as he leaned against an empty Picnic Table with his arms crossed before his chest.
"How...?" Stefan begun with furrowed brows of confusion as to why Emily Bennett would have willingly agreed to what had been asked of her when she had never truly approved of Vampires.
"She used the crystal to perform some kind of Protective Spell that would prevent Katherine from being burned alive when Fells Church had been set ablaze..." Damon explained as the smirk etched across his lips broadened ever so slightly at the sight of the shocked disbelief that had appeared on his Younger Brother's features.
"If she survived that night... Then where is she?" Stefan queried with an arched brow as he considered why he had not seen nor heard from his Ex-Lover/Vampire Sire if she were indeed alive.
"The way the Protective Magick worked was by creating an underground tomb beneath Fells Church... And when the spell activated, Katherine had been sealed inside that cavern which protected her." Damon explained as his thoughts drifted towards what Emily Bennett had told him of the Spelled Tomb before her demise at the hand of the Founders Council.
"Meaning she's alive..." Stefan surmised with an expression of displeasure written across his features as he glowered darkly at his Elder Brother, despising the mere fact that the woman that had ruined his Human Life and forced him into his Eternal Afterlife had survived the burning of Fells Church.
"More or less..." Damon retorted with an affirmative nod of his head in acknowledgment of what he wrongly were whirling through his Younger Brother's mind, having assumed that he were genuinely curious as to how their Ex-Lover/Sire had not perished during the Battle of Willow Creek as he had always thought. "She's been trapped in some mystical holding cell for the past 145 years but you're an expert on starving Vampires... How do you think she's fairing, Stefan?" Damon questioned rhetorically before pausing momentarily as the Green Eyed Man processed the information that he had gathered. "Did you know that Witches can use Celestial Events to draw power into their Magick...? Neither did I. But in order for the crystal to have the power required for the Protective Spell, Emily had used the comet passing overhead to summon the energy needed for her to perform that level of Defensive Magick... And for the spell to be broken..."
"The comet had to return." Stefan deduced with an expression of thoughtful contemplation as he begun aligning the seemingly unrelated details that he had garnered rather recently, now understanding what his Doe Eyed Fae had meant by there being underlying reasons behind his Elder Brother's actions since his reappearance in Mystic Falls.
"Downside...? Long time between comets... Not to mention the few hiccups I've had along the way with the crystal. But the comet passed and I found the crystal..." Damon countered with an exaggerated flourish of his arms as his smirk broadened minutely before suddenly disappearing from his features. "Then Amelia had the crystal and now Bonnie has the crystal... And here we are."
"I don't understand... Why would Emily do this for you?" Stefan questioned with an arched brow as he crossed his arms before his chest once more, silently wondering what the Blue Eyed Man had agreed to in exchange for protecting their Ex/Lover/Sire.
"Because she knew they would come after her as well... And she made me promise that her lineage would survive." Damon admitted with an absentminded shrug of his shoulders as though that detail mattered very little compared to the rest of his grand scheme.
"I remember... You saved her Children." Stefan muttered with an affirmative nod of his head as his thoughts whirled with the memories that had not made any sense to him at the time.
"That being the only reason I haven't ripped into that Little Witch's throat yet to retrieve my crystal... Oh, well..." Damon commented with an agitated glimmer within his Icy Blue Eyes as he directed his attention towards his Younger Brother once more with an arched brow. "So... Shall we throw some more?"
~Gilbert Residence~
In the Second Floor Bedroom belonging to the Elder Gilbert Daughter, the Forbes/Gilbert Duo found themselves sitting on the ground around an array of partially melted candles with their hands clasped with the Bennett/Gilbert Duo as they prepared to summon the Spirit of Emily Bennett as per suggestion of the Petrova Doppelganger, much to the chagrin of the Recently Awakened Bennett Witch that had been suffering at the behest of her Maternal Ancestor for days now.
"What are we doing?" Bonnie questioned with uncertainty lilting her tone of voice as she glanced between the Gilbert Twins and the Forbes Daughter.
"I have no idea." Amaya muttered beneath her breath with furrowed brows as she surveyed her surroundings with vigilant eyes, feeling as though she were being watched from the depths of the darkness that surrounded her.
"Be quiet and concentrate..." Elena interjected seriously as she glanced from her Childhood Best Friend towards her Younger Twin Sister and her own Lifelong Best Friend. "Now, close your eyes. Breathe in then out. Now... Call to her, Bonnie."
"Emily...? You there?" Bonnie intoned into the darkness of the Upstairs Bedroom with apparent hesitancy, causing the Gilbert Twins and Forbes Daughter to glance towards her with furrowed brows of confusion and/or disbelief.
"Really...?" Elena queried with an exasperated tone of voice as she opened her Dark Brown Eyes to gawk at her Witch Companion. "Emily? You there?" Elena paused briefly to arch her brows at the Bennett Girl with an unimpressed glimmer to her lingering gaze. "Come on."
"Fine. Gees..." Bonnie muttered with an audible sigh of slight reluctance as she adjusted herself on the ground before allowing her Caramel Brown Eyes to flutter closed once more. "Emily... I call on you. I know you have something to tell me. I'm here to listen."
Meanwhile, the Doe Eyed Fae found herself stiffening as she sensed someone standing over her as her Navy Blue Eyes remained closed. And when the flare of the candles that were sitting in the middle of the circle of teenage girls, Amaya abruptly flinched backwards as she exchanged worried glances with her Childhood Best Friend as Caroline looked towards her in apprehension once the grouping of candles had returned to their soft flickering.
"Did that just-" Caroline begun with apparent uncertainty lilting her tone of voice as she stared fearfully at the partially melted candles.
"Yeah, it just happened." Elena muttered with slightly widened eyes as she glanced towards the clearly frightened Bennett Witch.
However, the Younger Gilbert Twin were abruptly distracted from the quiet muttering from her Elder Twin Sister when her Fae Blood suddenly chilled with the sensation of an anonymous person towering above her as they observed the impromptu Séance that were being conducted. And as the Doe Eyed GIrl glanced over her shoulder, her Navy Blue Eyes briefly flashed an iridescent Pure White Hue as she sensed the activation of one of her many Fae Abilities, allowing her to perceive the Spiritual Apparition of Emily Bennett standing directly behind her as her eyes remained fixated on the Newly Awakened Bennett Witch.
"It's just the Air Conditioning." Bonnie assured with an obvious desperation lingering in her Caramel Brown Eyes as she glanced briefly towards the Younger Gilbert Twin that had suddenly fallen silent as she stared into the encroaching darkness with widened eyes.
"Ask her to show you another sign... Ask her." Elena demanded with an affirmative nod of her head at the Bennett Girl, only for Bonnie to rapidly shake her head in denial of the urgent suggestion until she had no other choice than to do so herself. "Emily, if you're among us, show us another sign."
"See? It's not working..." Bonnie muttered with barely suppressed relief when several moments passed without anything happening before suddenly being startled by the windows behind her flying open to crash into the walls of the Bay Window Seat. "I can't! I'm done!" Bonnie shouts as her hand grasps tightly onto the Amber Crystal around her neck as she raises onto her trembling legs and wrenching the piece of jewelry from her chest to be thrown to the floor followed by the candles flickering until the Second Floor Bedroom were swallowed by darkness. "Get the lights! Please! Get the lights!"
"I got it. Hold on." Elena muttered beneath her breath as she stood from her place on the ground to make her way towards the light switch, causing light to suddenly flood the Upstairs Bedroom within seconds to reveal the quartet of frightened teenage girls standing rigidly around the melted candles.
With narrowed eyes of apparent caution, Amaya allows her Navy Blue Eyes to search her surroundings for the Spiritual Apparition of the Bennett Ancestor that had disappeared within the mere seconds that darkness had obscured her vision. However, when her Omniscience were abruptly activated in the aftereffects of the impromptu Séance, the Doe Eyed Fae tilts her head ever so slightly in idle curiosity as her Gift of Infinite Knowledge alerts her to the spontaneous triggering of another of her Fae Abilities known as Astral Communication that allows her to perceive and interact with Supernatural Creatures that have crossed over to the Spiritual Purgatory commonly dubbed the Other Side.
"Guys...?" Bonnie whispered with horrified disbelief etched across her features as she stared down at the formation of candles at their feet. "The necklace... It's gone."
As silence descended across the Second Floor Bedroom once more, Amaya snapped her head towards the Upstairs Landing that were currently shadowed by darkness as she notices an eerie shadowed figure pass by the doorway, causing her Mortal Best Friend to glance between her and the darkened hallway with furrowed brows of apprehension as to what had caught the Immortal Fae's attention.
"What? What happened?" Caroline questioned with an expression of hesitancy as she turned to gaze into the everlasting darkness lurking beyond the threshold that had Amaya making her way towards the doorway with cautious footsteps.
"I'm not entirely sure..." Amaya admitted as her Navy Blue Eyes remained fixated on the Upstairs Landing where she had seen someone or something mere moments earlier. "Jeremy, are you home?"
With her Elder Twin Sister following her lead at the mention of their Younger Brother, Amaya slowly made her way towards the shadowed Upstairs Landing with Elena mere steps behind her as they searched the neverending darkness that lingered throughout the entire Gilbert Family Residence. However, as the Gilbert Twins stepped partially into the hallway with the Forbes Daughter standing just inside the threshold as she surveyed their surroundings cautiously, Bonnie found herself glancing into the Ensuite Bathroom that the Elder Gilbert Daughter shared with the Gilbert Son to find that the AMber Crystal that had disappeared had somehow come to be on the ground barely inside the doorway.
"Guys..." Bonnie muttered beneath her breath with furrowed brows of confusion as she made her way towards the Ensuite Bathroom with slow footsteps.
However, as soon as the Newly Awakened Ancestral Witch had touched the Amber Crystal that had been lying inconspicuously on the bathroom rug, every door leading into the small space suddenly slammed closed before either the Gilbert Twins nor the Forbes Daughter had the chance to enter the washroom. And when the Bennett Daughter begun screaming from within, Elena futilely attempts wrenching the door leading into her Second FLoor Bedroom open while Caroline and Amaya sprinted towards the door leading into the darkened hallway as they yanked against the doorknob in slight desperation to rescue the frightened teenage girl that had been trapped inside.
"Bonnie! Open the door!" Elena screamed with an obvious panic lilting her tone of voice as she banged against the wooden door in an attempt to garner some kind of response from her Childhood Best Friend.
"What's happening?! Bonnie?!" Amaya shrieked with an expression of unabashed panic etched across her ethereal features as she continuously knocked against the wooden panels of the door.
"Bonnie! Unlock the door!" Caroline cried in desperation as she futilely twists the doorknob over and over again despite knowing that more than likely nothing would work.
As the Gilbert Twins and Forbes Daughter continue their futile attempts to rescue the Bennett Daughter, the lights begin flickering throughout the Gilbert Family Household as the panicked screams emitting from the Upstairs Bathroom seemingly increase in volume as the seconds tick by. However, within seconds of the panicked outcries having abruptly ceased from the trapped teenage girl, every door leading into the cramped space suddenly swung open to reveal the Young Ancestral Witch standing in the middle of the room with her hands covering her face.
"Are you okay...?" Elena questioned rather breathlessly as she stands in the doorway of her Ensuite Bathroom with furrowed brows of concern for her Childhood Best Friend.
"What happened?" Caroline and Amaya queried in tandem with one another as they stand in the hallway threshold of the Upstairs Bathroom as their eyes remained fixated on the suspiciously calm Bennett Girl.
"Nothing..." Bonnie assured with an uncharacteristic polite tone of voice as she straightens her posture and clasps her hands together before her abdomen. "I'm fine."
"Bonnie...?" Amaya interjected with narrowed eyes of suspicion as she observed the Caramel Eyed Girl's peculiar behavior.
"I'm fine..." Bonnie repeated with an affirmative nod of her head towards the Younger Gilbert Twin before directing her gaze towards her Elder Twin Sister once more. "Everything's fine."
Without further explanation from the Bennett Daughter, Bonnie stepped across the threshold of the Upstairs Bathroom onto the Second Floor Landing before calmly making her way towards the staircase with her posture straight and her hands clasped in front her abdomen even as the Elder Gilbert Twin followed her through the darkened corridor with furrowed brows of avid confusion. Meanwhile, the Younger Gilbert Twin had extended her arm to prevent the Forbes Daughter from doing so as well, her Fae Magick surging restlessly in the presence of the Bennett Witch in ways it never had before.
"Are you okay?" Elena questioned once again as she followed her Childhood Best Friend down the staircase while Amaya ensured that she and Caroline maintained enough distance from the Bennett Girl to assuage her otherworldly senses even slightly.
"I must go." Bonnie intones with an emotionless glimmer within her Caramel Eyes as her gaze focused on the Front Door.
"What? You can't leave." Elena denied with furrowed brows of confusion as she watched Bonnie continue down the staircase as though she had not spoken.
"Thank you for having me... I'll take it from here." Bonnie commented with an affirmative nod of her head in acknowledgement towards the Gilbert Twins and Forbes Daughter before making her way towards the Front Door without waiting for any response from the teenage girls.
"Where are you going?" Elena queried with an exasperated tone of voice as she paused halfway down the stairs as she gawked openly at the Bennett Witch.
"Back to where it all began." Bonnie muttered beneath her breath as her expression shifted into that of stern determination.
"Bonnie!" Elena shouted after her Childhood Best Friend with furrowed brows as she continued to make her way down the staircase when the Bennett Daughter made no indication that she were listening. "Bonnie!"
"Oh my God." Caroline muttered with widened eyes at the sudden realization as to why the Newly Awakened Bennett Witch were acting so strangely.
"Emily!" Amaya interjected with narrowed eyes as she descended onto the Lower Landing of the staircase as the Witch Ancestor that were currently possessing the Bennett Girl.
"I won't let him have it. It must be destroyed." Emily declared with finality as she paused before the Front Door to glance briefly between the Gilbert Twins and Forbes Daughter.
"Wait!" Elena shouted with slight panic lilting her tone of voice as she hurriedly descended the rest of the staircase in quick succession, followed closely by her Younger Twin Sister and her own Lifelong Best Friend.
Moments after the Possessed Bennett Witch had crossed the threshold into the surrounding darkness, the Front Door abruptly slammed closed behind her only seconds before the Elder Gilbert Twin had reached the Downstairs Entryway with her Younger Twin Sister and the Forbes Girl joining her almost immediately.
"What's happening?" Caroline questioned with furrowed brows of confusion as she and Amaya notice the Human Doppelganger futilely wrenching against the doorknob.
"I don't know. The door won't-" Elena muttered beneath her breath with an obvious frustration lilting her tone of voice as she struggled with the magically sealed door.
However, the Gilbert Twins and Forbes Daughter are suddenly startled when the Front Door swings open, causing the trio of teenage girls to emit screams of frightened alarm as the Gilbert Son crossed the threshold into the Downstairs Entryway before glancing confusedly between his Elder Sisters with furrowed brows of confusion.
"What the Hell?" Jeremy Gilbert commented with an arched brow directed towards his Immortal Fae Elder Sister in silent inquiry as to what had prompted that kind of reaction before receiving an almost imperceivable shake of her head in indication that she would speak with him later, causing him to nod his head in acceptance of the silent assurance before making his way through the Entrance Corridor into the Adjoined Dining Room.
"I'm calling Stefan." Amaya announced with an apparent wavering to her tone of voice as she deftly retrieved her cellphone from her skirt pocket before dialing the Emergency Contact Number that she had previously assigned to her Vampire Boyfriend.
"Amaya? Baby?" The voice of Stefan Salvatore filtered through the speakerphone almost as soon as the dial tone had been emitted, the apparent confusion lingering in the sound of his voice as he knew that she and Caroline were having Girl's Night with the Bennett/Gilbert Duo. "What's wrong?"
"It's Bonnie..." Elena suddenly declared before her Younger Sister had the chance to respond even as her breaths continue to come in shallow pants.
"Emily Bennett seems to have possessed her." Amaya interjected with an anxious tone of voice as she threaded her fingers through her Mahogany Brown Waves in frustration before pausing abruptly as her mind whirled restlessly with what had happened. "Wait... She had spoken rather briefly before leaving."
"What did she say?" Stefan queried with an underlying urgency as he glanced over his shoulder to find that his Elder Brother were eavesdropping on the current conversation.
"She said 'I won't let him have it. It must be destroyed.' And then she just left." Caroline imputed as she and Amaya exchanged brief glances between themselves while the Elder Gilbert Sister found herself pacing across the Downstair Entryway in panicked concern.
"Where do you think she would've gone?" Stefan questioned as he turned his attention away from the Raven Haired Man that were listening with obvious interest to focus on what his Doe Eyed Girl had to say on the matter.
"I don't know." Elena muttered as she shook her head in the negative as her thoughts whirled unrelentingly in the aftermath of her Childhood Best Friend being possessed by her own Witch Ancestor.
"Fells Church..." Amaya interjected with slightly widened eyes of sudden realization as she and Caroline exchanged brief glances as their earlier conversation with the Bennett Daughter came to the forefront of their mind.
"That's where she took Bonnie in her dreams." Caroline agreed with an affirmative nod of her head in silent confirmation that she and the Immortal Fae had come to the same conclusion.
"We have to help her, Stefan." Elena pleaded with obvious desperation lilting her tone of voice as she ceased her pacing long enough to glance towards the cellphone in her Younger Twin Sister's hand.
"Stay where you are... I'll find her." Stefan assured before promptly ending the phone call and turning around to be facing the Picnic Table that his Elder Brother had been sitting atop moments earlier only to find that Damon had disappeared into the darkness that surrounded the School Courtyard.
Meanwhile, the GIlbert Twins found themselves exchanging brief glances with the Forbes Girl before Amaya suddenly snatched her car keys from the wall mount beside the Front Door while Elena and Caroline retrieved their jackets from the coat rack in the corner. And without further contemplation, the trio of teenage girls crossed the threshold onto the shadowed Front Porch before making their way towards the Pristine White Chevy Camaro belonging to the Immortal Fae since she were the only one among them that knew where Fells Church were located due to her Omniscience.
~Ruins of Fells Church~
On the edge of the Mystic Falls Cemetery, the Possessed Bennett Daughter could be seen making her way through the dense foliage in the direction of where Fells Church had once stood with an expression of sheer determination etched across her young features. And as the Caramel Eyed Girl approached the barely recognizable ruins that had long since been overtaken by Nature, the Elder Salvatore Brother appeared from the opposite direction with an unconvincing smirk on his lips as he actively refrains from glaring heatedly at the Newly Awakened Ancestral Witch.
"Hello, Emily..." Damon greeted with an emotionless tone of voice as he walked along the edge of the ruins that separated him from the haunted teenage girl. "You sure have changed."
"I won't let you do it." Emily interjected with finality as her head tilted upwards ever so slightly in defiance.
"We had an agreement." Damon practically growls with barely contained fury shimmering in his Icy Blue Eyes as he stepped threateningly towards the Bennett WItch.
"Things are different now... I need to protect my Family." Emily denied fiercely with an almost indiscernible shake of her head as she stares down the impulsively volatile Ravenette Vampire.
"I protected your Family. You owe me." Damon snarled with narrowed eyes as he glowered at the Possessed Bennett Daughter in resentment for the unexpected betrayal.
"I know. I'm sorry." Emily intones with genuine remorse lilting her tone of voice as she gazed at the Elder Salvatore Brother that seemed to become even angrier the more she spoke.
"You're about to be much more than sorry." Damon threatened heatedly as his Human Facade faded away to reveal his Vampiric Features.
Without uttering another word, Damon suddenly charges at the Possessed Bennett Witch with his Vampire Speed before being thrown backwards with nothing more than an effortless wave of the hand from the Caramel Eyed Girl, causing the Blue Eyed Man to be brutally impaled through the abdomen by the branch of an idling tree as he is then forced to watch as Bonnie prepares for an unknown spell by etching an eerie pentagram into the ground.
Not long after the confrontation between the Elder Salvatore Brother and Possessed Bennett Daughter, Stefan appears from the encroaching darkness within the blink of an eyes as he makes an immediate beeline for his Elder Brother at the sigh of Damon suspended several feet away from the ground by the wooden branch that were protruding rather gruesomely from the wound in his stomach. And with very little effort on his part, the Chestnut Haired Man rather effortlessly freed the other person from his grotesque perch before crouching slightly with furrowed brows of concern for the groaning Raven Haired Man that had immediately collapsed to the ground in agony.
"That seriously hurt... This is why I prefer Feeding from the vein." Damon complained with an audible moan of pain as he allowed himself to sprawl across the ground as his Enhanced Healing Factor mended his wound within seconds until only the phantom aches remained.
"Stefan." Emily greeted rather politely as she turned to be facing the Younger Salvatore Brother from her place within the pentagram that she had drawn into the dirt.
"Hello, Emily." Stefan countered as he straightened once more to be standing at his full height before deftly nodding his head towards the Possessed Bennett Witch in acknowledgement.
"This town doesn't deserve this. They should never have to know such evil." Emily declared with finality as she focused her Caramel Brown Eyes onto the suddenly perplexed Green Eyed Man.
"What do you mean by evil?" Stefan retorted with furrowed brows of avid confusion as to what he were missing, causing him to glance between his scowling Elder Brother and the suspiciously calm Bennett Girl.
"Emily, I swear to God... I'll make you regret this." Damon snarled with such ferocity that an animalistic growl had wrenched itself from the depths of his chest as he forced himself onto his feet.
"I won't let you unleash them into this world." Emily countered with an emotionless tone of voice as her Caramel Brown Eyes connected with his own Icy Blue Eyes in an obvious test of wills.
"Wait... Them...?" Stefan queried with an arched brow as he turned to be facing his Elder Brother with an infuriated glimmer lurking in his Forest Green Eyes as he suspected where this would soon be leading. "What am I missing here, Damon?"
"What does it matter?" Damon quipped with an agitated scowl etched across his features as he glowered darkly at the Possessed Bennett Witch while actively avoiding meeting the rapidly darkening gaze of his Younger Brother.
"What have you done, Emily?" Stefan demanded with barely suppressed fury burning in the very depths of his being as he turned to be facing the Caramel Eyed Girl that had directed her focus to preparing for the predetermined spell once more.
"To save her... I had to save them." Emily admitted with genuine regret for having allowed herself to be cowed into protecting such Demonic Creatures in her desperate bid to protect her Family Line.
"You saved everyone that had been inside Fells Church that night?" Stefan countered with an incredulous tone of voice as he gawked openly at the Bennett Witch even though he had been suspecting that were where the current discussion was heading.
"With one... Comes all." Emily intone somberly with an affirmative nod of her head towards the Green Eyed Vampire in confirmation.
"I don't care about the others... I only want Katherine." Damon pleaded with slight desperation lilting his tone of voice as he stared at the Possessed Bennett Daughter imploringly.
"I knew I should have never believed you... This has nothing to do with love, does it...? This is about vengeance." Stefan surmised with his Forest Green Eyes narrowed dangerously as he found himself stepping threateningly towards his Elder Brother. "You cannot do this, Damon."
"Why not?!" Damon suddenly snarled with such fury that his Younger Brother had struggled to suppress his lethally defensive nature. "They used the cover of the nearby War Battle to murder more than two dozen people... They deserve whatever misery befalls them."
"Vampires,Damon! They were Vampires!" Stefan snapped furiously as he suddenly grasped the lapels of the Ravenette Vampire's leather jacket amidst his rapidly surmounting rage.
"This town deserves this." Damon declared with unyielding ferocity lurking in the depths of his Icy Blue Eyes as he jerked himself away from his frighteningly irate Younger Brother.
"You're condemning innocent people for something that happened 145 years ago-" Stefan retorted with an enraged tone of voice as he stepped threateningly towards his Elder Brother yet again as Ripper of Monterey fought to gain complete control of himself amidst his anger.
"There is nothing innocent about these people and do not think for one second that it wouldn't happen again! They know too much as it is!" Damon snarled viciously as he foolishly bowed up against the visibly trembling Chestnut Haired Man that were struggling to suppress his Alter Ego at the moment. "What do you think would happen to your Precious Amaya if they were to find out about her...?"
With that troubling notion whirling through his mind, Stefan forfeited whatever semblance of control he had over his Alter Ego as varying scenarios filtered his thoughts rather restlessly as the Ripper of Monterey pushed to the forefront of their being. And as his Human Facade were suddenly overtaken by his Vampire Features, Damon promptly hunched over with an audible groan of sheer agony as the Ripper plunged his hand into his chest cavity before clenching his hand around his heart as his dangerously quiet voice emitted into the otherwise silent night.
"Whether you intended that to be an actual threat or not, I could not care less... Do not ever insinuate that I would allow something to happen to Amaya again... Or I swear to whatever Higher Power exists that I will destroy you. I will tear you limb from limb and scatter your remains to every corner of this wretched planet... And if you think for even one second that I would lose sleep over your demise... Think again, Brother." The Ripper snarled as an animalistic growl wrenched itself from the depths of his chest before he abruptly released his hold on his Elder Brother, allowing Damon to promptly collapse to the ground on his knees as he inhaled desperate breaths for several moments in an attempt to assuage the pain coursing through his body.
"Things are different now." Emily declared with finality as she stepped into the center of the pentagram that had been etched into the dirt, causing the Younger Salvatore Brother to glance towards the Possessed Bennett Daughter even as his Vampiric Features remained on display as his Elder Brother forced himself to his feet once more with an apparent grimace of pain.
"Please..." Damon pleaded with an imploring glimmer within his Icy Blue Eyes as he stepped towards the Bennett Daughter.
"I can't free them... I won't." Emily declares with finality as her head lifted ever so slightly with sheer confidence before allowing her Caramel Brown Eyes to flutter closed as she summons upon her borrowed Ancestral Magick. "Incendia!"
"No!" Damon shouts desperately as the pentagram that the Possessed Bennett Daughter had been etching into the ground moments earlier ignites with an inferno of flickering flames preventing the Salvatore Brothers from entering the Ritual Site. "No. Please."
"Bonnie!" The panicked voice of the Elder Gilbert Twin suddenly sounds through the otherwise silent night, causing the Younger Salvatore Brother to glanced towards the edge of the Fells Church Ruins to find that his Fae Girlfriend emerging from the dense foliage with her Mortal Bestfriend mere steps behind the Human Doppelganger.
Mere moments after the Doe Eyed Fae had paused her approach, Amaya suddenly found herself ensconced in the Green Eyed Vampire's embrace as the Ripper silently wrapped his arms around her abdomen before deftly pulling her against his broad chest as their eyes remained fixated on the Possessed Bennett Daughter that were currently being forced to wield her Ancestral Magick against her will.
However, only seconds after having stepped into the clearing where Fells Church had once stood proudly, Amaya were startled by the rather abrupt activation of yet another of her Fae Abilities in such quick succession with the triggering of her Astral Communication less than an hour earlier. And when her Gift of Infinite Knowledge had been kind enough to supply an explanation for the occurrence, the Doe Eyed Fae tilted her head ever so slightly in idle curiosity in regards to the most recent of her otherworldly gifts to appear that were evidently known as Ancestral Magick Suppression. Which provided her with the ability to prevent an Ancestral Witch from accessing the Familial Magick of their Hereditary Lineage.
So, when the Younger Gilbert Daughter silently raised her dominant hand from where it had been resting against the Younger Salvatore Brother's forearms that were wrapped tightly around her slender waistline, no one could have been prepared for the swirling Pure White Mist that filtered across the ground from her fingertips as she concentrates on the connection that existed between the Newly Awakened Bennett Witch and the Ancestral Magick of her Familial Bloodline.
And with the Sired Vampires present being the only ones that noticed the otherworldly vapor that were slowly sweeping across the dirt towards the flaming pentagram due to their Enhanced Sight, the Salvatore Brothers immediately snapped their lingering gazes towards the Younger Gilbert Twin as she seems to guide the Pure White Mist through the flickering flames towards the Possessed Bennett Daughter with her iridescent swirling Pearly White Eyes focused intently on the Caramel Eyed Girl even as her tiny fingers flexed gently in an inadvertently sensual manner than had been intended.
Within mere seconds of the Immortal Fae having accessed her Newly Awakened Fae Ability, the Possessed Bennett Witch suddenly gasped in apparent alarm as she sensed her connection to the Ancestral Magick of her Familial Lineage fade into nothingness, causing the flickering flames that had once separated her from those that were gathered just beyond the barrier to slowly disperse as her borrowed power were buried far beneath the surface with no way of freeing it.
And as darkness descended across the clearing once more, the swirling Pure White Mist that had long since wrapped itself around the struggling Bennett Witch eventually becomes apparent to the Elder Gilbert Twin and Forbes Daughter when the harsh glare of the flames were no longer hindering their view. Though while the Honey Blonde Haired Mortal seemed relieved that the currently Pure White Eyed Immortal Fae had intervened, the Mahogany Brown Haired Doppelganger had found herself staring at her Younger Twin Sister with widened eyes of combined confusion and horror.
"Amaya?" Elena muttered beneath her breath with furrowed brows as she glanced towards her Childhood Best Friend with concern. "What are you doing?! You're hurting Bonnie!"
"I am not causing harm to the Bennett Witch..." Amaya countered with an innocent tilt of her head as her swirling Pure White Eyes remained fixated on the Caramel Eyed Girl even as the angelic tone of her voice elicited an unintentional fascination from the Sired Vampires that were staring at her with unyielding interest. "I am merely severing her connection to her Ancestral Magick... Emily Bennett can no longer use her power to achieve her own goals."
"Fae." Emily muttered with widened eyes of frightened realization as she stared fearfully into the eyes of the Younger Gilbert Twin, causing everyone present to hesitate momentarily at the sheer dread that practically seeped into the very air between the Ancestral Witch and Immortal Fae.
"Witch." Amaya countered with an uninterested lilt to her angelic tone of voice as she tilted her head ever so slightly in thoughtful contemplation as it would seem that at least one Bennett Witch were wise enough to be cautious in her presence. "I suppose your fear is well founded if one were to consider the ongoing conflict between the Ancestral Witches and Immortal Fae that had been waged more than 10,000 years ago... How unfortunate that the newer generations were never apprised of the Infinite Superiority of the Fae Species."
At the mention of the lethal animosity between the Ancestral Witches and Immortal Fae, Emily Bennett visibly flinched even as her borrowed body remained rooted to the spot while those that were bearing witness to the tense interaction merely watched in either avid interest or complete confusion. And suffice to assume that, for the Elder Gilbert Twin that had found herself staring between her Younger Twin Sister and Possessed Best Friend, the obvious apprehension that Amaya had been regarded with by the once confident Witch Spirit did nothing to lessen her prior caution.
Meanwhile, Amaya found herself tilting her head ever so slightly in momentary interest as she senses the activation of yet another of her many Fae Abilities to aid her in the current dilemma that she were facing as to the best way to restore the Young Bennett Witch to her former self. And as her Gift of Infinite Knowledge alerted her to the triggering of an ability referred to as Astral Obstruction that allowed her to prevent Supernatural Beings that resided on the Other Side from communicating and/or interacting with the Mortal Realm.
"Hmm..." Amaya hummed quietly in thought before focusing her swirling Pure White Eyes on the Possessed Bennett Daughter once more as she urged the otherworldly vapor to tighten around the Caramel Eyed Girl. "Since you were so very determined to warn us of an impending threat... Might I suggest you make your peace now before you are confined to the Other Side once more."
"There is evil in that Tomb... It must not be opened." Emily declared with an imploring tone of voice as she directed her gaze towards the Younger Salvatore Brother that were standing behind the Younger Gilbert Daughter with his arms wrapped firmly around her slender waistline.
With that lingering comment from the Bennett Ancestor, Amaya concentrated on the Mental Link that she had created between herself and the Possessed Ancestral Witch as she tapped into her Gift of Astral Obstruction to ultimately force Emily Bennett to vacate her unwilling accomplice. And as the swirling Pure White Mist seemed to tighten around the Caramel Eyed Girl yet again with the Fae Magick that were coursing through her being, Bonnie Bennett suddenly collapsed to the ground with an audible gasp of immeasurable pain after having regained control over her body as her widened eyes surveyed her surroundings frantically before landing on the Elder Gilbert Twin when Elena promptly rushed to her aid.
Meanwhile, the Younger Salvatore Brother found himself tightening his arms around his Doe Eyed Girlfriend when Amaya wavered ever so slightly as an aftereffect of several of her Fae Abilities being triggered within such quick succession while the Forbes Daughter made her way towards her Childhood Best Friend with furrowed brows of concern even as the Pure White Hue that had been lingering in her gaze faded away to reveal their usual Navy Blue Color.
"I don't understand, Elena. What happened to me?" Bonnie questioned with an expression of frightened confusion as she and the Elder Gilbert Twin stood towards the edge of the clearing across from the Forbes/Gilbert Duo that were speaking quietly with the Salvatore Brothers as the Younger Gilbert Twin handed the Raven Haired Man the Amber Crystal that had been around her neck not too long ago. "Why can't I remember how I got here?"
"How do you feel? Are you okay?" Elena retorted with furrowed brows of concern as her Dark Brown Eyes surveyed the Bennett Daughter with an apparent caution.
"I feel fine..." Bonnie muttered with uncertainty lilting her tone of voice as she sensed something deep within herself had changed but unable to discern exactly what. "What's going on, Elena?"
"I'll explain everything, Bonnie. I promise. Okay? Let's just get out of here." Elena urges with an unconvincing smile etched across her lips as she rested her hands on the Caramel Eyed Girl's shoulders when she noticed that Bonnie had found herself staring at the singed pentagram with an expression of sudden horror as she realized she must have been responsible for whatever had happened. "No. No. No. Bonnie, look at me... Trust me."
Once the Elder Gilbert Daughter had managed to successfully coax her Childhood Best Friend into the Passenger Side of the Bennett Daughter's own car, Elena paused momentarily as she rounded the front of the vehicle to find that her Younger Twin Sister had approached with the Younger Salvatore Brother following behind her with his arms wrapped firmly around her tiny figure. And despite the feigned confidence with which she regarded the Vampire/Fae Couple, the Human Doppelganger could not refrain from chancing cautious glances towards Amaya due to her casual display of immense power not even an hour earlier.
"I'm gonna tell her the truth..." Elena declared with finality as she glanced between the Doe Eyed Fae and Green Eyed Vampire with false courage. "I can trust her... I need someone to know, I need someone that I talk to... I can't live in secret."
"You never had to, Elena... You were only ever prohibited from speaking about the Supernatural Community with someone that had no business knowing..." Amaya interjected with an arched brow as she crossed her arms before her chest, causing her Elder Twin Sister to glance towards her with an apparent warriness lurking in the depths of her gaze. "Bonnie had long since been confirmed as an Ancestral Witch of the Bennett Lineage... Therefore, you could have divulged what you had known at your own leisure. It were your choice to withhold what you've learned." Amaya paused momentarily as she darted her Navy Blue Eyes to the Caramel Eyed Girl that were currently watching them from the Passenger Seat of her own car before directing her attention towards Elena once more. "Though I would like to make something very clear, Elena... She is solely your responsibility from this moment on... As you have witnessed here tonight, the Immortal Fae do not associate themselves with the Ancestral Witches often and when we do... More often than not, such rare occasions primarily end in bloodshed... And regardless of our history together, I will protect myself and those that I care for first and foremost. Be sure that she knows that."
Without further comment from the Younger Gilbert Daughter, the Doe Eyed Gilbert Girl and Chestnut Salvatore Man make their way across the darkened clearing towards where the Blue Eyed Forbes Girl and Ravenette Salvatore Man awaited their return perched on the crumbling stonework that had once been Fells Church. And as the Younger Sired Vampire Brother deftly guided the Immortal Fae towards her Mortal Bestfriend, Amaya allowed an exhausted smile to spread across her lips as her Navy Blue Eyes briefly met the unyielding gaze of the Elder Sired Vampire as he stared at her with an indiscernible glimmer of emotion in his Icy Blue Eyes.
