The larval Battra was found in the Indian ocean and killed by Godzilla. The Gorath asteroid was discovered and was on a collision course with, but as it was about to destroy the planet, Godzilla used a crimson spiraled variant of his atomic breath and completely obliterated Gorath, now the United Earth's long term plans were changed drastically as migrating to the moon and Mars were out of the question a Godzilla could still target them. After searching the remains of Gorath, it was discovered that it was a vessel for a space monster, and after studying the creature's DNA, now named Monster X, it would have been theoretically would have been able to defeat Godzilla, and that it had a second form, but what that form would have looked like is unknown.
