Sorry for the long wait on this; real life keeps getting in the way. I have a couple follows now so I hope you guys enjoy!

Chapter 2

Marinette actually woke up on time to get ready for school. Once she got dressed, she grabbed her textbook and went downstairs. Her parents were eating breakfast. Grabbing a chocolate filled croissant, her father asked, "Did you get all of your work done?" Marinette nodded. "Atta girl! If you can show me some initiative for class attendance, you'll be able to go out this weekend!"

This perked Marinette up. "Thanks guys, love you!" Her parents waved goodbye as she walked out the door.

Adrien couldn't wait to get to school. He ate breakfast alone and had his whole schedule planned out through Nathalie. He just wanted to get out of there.

He arrived at school with the same bustle of students going about. He saw Nino, Alya, and Marinette near the staircase. "Hey guys!" He tried to call out, but was swamped into a hug.

"Adrikins!" It was Chloe.

He sighed, "Oh, hey Chloe, how are you?"

She smiled, holding onto him. "Oh, I'm better now that you're here!" He looked over at his friends. Nino had his face in his hands as he noticed Alya and Marinette shooting them the stink-eye. "So, Adrien, I was wondering if you wanted to hang out today after school?" Chloe raced her fingers along his chest.

"Oh, I don't think I'll be able to hangout today. I have Chinese practice after school." Her face pouted at his words.

"Well, if you can't hang out with me, then why not just hang out at lunch?"

He shrugged, "I guess that's fine."

She jumped with joy, "Alright then, I'll see you later!" She walked away after kissing him on the cheek; her friend Sabrina following close behind.

Adrien rushed towards his friends, "Sorry Nino."

He waved his hand. "Nah bro, I'm sorry you have to deal with that."

Adrien shrugged, "Look she was my first real friend." Nino nodded and motioned him towards class.

Thankfully Marinette did most of her homework, so the class seemed to go by super-fast. As soon as the bell rang, Adrien was immediately at the hands of Chloe.

"Come on Adrikins!" She looked behind her and told Sabrina, "Go have lunch somewhere else!" She nodded and left them alone. Chloe took Adrien into a room he had never been in before.

"What is this place?"

She walked over towards a large desk in a room full of computers. "This is supposed to be the new computer room once it gets ready."

Adrien looked around, "Wow, it's really nice!"

Chloe nodded and sat on top of the desk motioning him to come forward. "What is it?" He asked.

"Look, Adrien, I know you seem to only want to be friends with me."

He nodded, "I've known you forever Chloe."

She rolled her eyes annoyed. "Well, I was wondering, instead of being friends," she placed herself in a provocative pose. "Would you like to be amis aves des avantages?"

His face was flushed. "I-I'm sorry?" He stuttered.

"Friends with benefits, Adrien. It's where you promise to just be friends," she placed her hands on his hips, inching him closer. "But you also help them with their physical needs."

Adrien pulled himself away from her, "You mean have relations without being in a relationship?"

She got upset. "Yeah! I mean we would still be friends, just kiss, play, and have sex with each other."

Adrien shook his head, "I'm sorry Chloe there is just no way I could do that with you."

"Why not?!" Her face was red.

"Because, I know you would be in love with me, and I wouldn't be!"

She scoffed, got up, and said, "Well whatever, your loss then. I gave you the chance to get some pleasure for free. I guess you'll come around some other time."

Chloe went towards the door, walking out, she didn't even notice that someone was behind the other side. Alya ran away quickly after making eye contact with Adrien. His face was flushed and he himself rushed out towards the classroom.

"What about lunch?!" Plagg asked.

"I lost my appetite." Adrien replied slowly moving back into his seat, putting his head down. Calming himself was the best thing he could do right now.

"Oh my god girl!" Alya exclaimed, finding Marinette eating outside.

"What?!" Marinette almost dropped her food.

"You're never gonna believe what just happened." Alya explained to Marinette how Adrien rejected Chloe's advances.

Marinette's face was super confused. "Amis avec des avantages?" Alya nodded. "What's that?" Marinette asked.

"Girl, have you been living under a rock? It's where you stay friends but help each other out with you physical dependances." Marinette was still looking confused. "Masturbating, having sex, practicing kissing? You know, things you do in order to get better at the things you aren't good at? A friend who you're comfortable practicing on, having a little fun." Marinette's face was as red as a tomato. "You okay girl?" She couldn't move. "If it helps he rejected her!"

She came back nodding. "Y-yeah but," she stopped talking as Chloe was nearby.

Alya and her both just stared at the blonde girl. Chloe rolled her eyes and walked over to Kim. Grabbing him by the arm and urging him somewhere else. "Wow, looks like she already had a friend with benefits and was just wanting a new one." Alya shook her head. Marinette's face puffed out in anger. The bell rand and it was time to get back to class.

Once Nino sat down, he placed his hand on Adrien's shoulder. "It's gonna be fine. You did the right thing, dude."

Adrien sighed and looked towards the front of the class. "I can't wait for today to be over." He whispered under his breath.

Marinette looked at Adrien, feeling terrible and yet happy about what happened. "He rejected her." She thought, as a smile went across her face.

Suddenly, the whole class hear a girl scream. "Help!" It was Chloe. Everyone rushed into the hallway to see Kim akumatized.

"I can't believe you said that! You don't deserve love from anyone!" He pushed her into the wall. "Now where is Adrien?!" Everyone looked back but neither him nor Marinette were anywhere to be found.

Ladybug and Cat Noir showed up out of nowhere! "Everyone deserves love, no matter who they are! Cat Noir shouted, pouncing on Kim.

Ladybug lassoed him with her yo-yo. "I think you just need to calm down Kim." She held him tight in her grip.

"NO! TRUE LOVE DOESN'T EXIST!" He struggled holding something in his right hand.

"You can truly love someone without them loving you back. That's a harsh beauty of love." Car Noir's head went down for a moment.

Ladybug looked at him and yelled, "In his hand!" Cat Noir gave her an annoyed glance, and walked over to Kim, grabbing his hand and forcing it open.

Everyone in the room blushed, especially Cat Noir. "P-panties?!" He quickly dropped them. Ladybug rolled her eyes, picking them up and ripping them.

Kim turned back to normal and she got rid of the Akuma. "Woah, where am I?" He was surrounded by his whole class. He looked over at Chloe and just got up and left.

Ladybug did her thing and the panties were repaired again. She picked them back up and handed them to Chloe. "What did you do?" She asked sternly.

"Well I guess he found out I had asked someone else to take his place as my little friend."

Ladybug grunted, "You shouldn't play with someone else's emotions."

Chloe crossed her arms, "When he agreed we said we wouldn't get attached. If he did that's his own fault. He knew what I wanted."

Cat Noir looked over at Ladybug, realizing how upset she was. Ladybug just up and walked away from her. Cat Noir followed her, giving Chloe a disappointed look. Ladybug glanced back and saw him following her, "What?" He kind of just stopped walking, looking down.

"Why didn't you come?"

Ladybug felt her heart beat fast. "What are you talking about?" She pretended as she had forgotten.

"Why didn't you show up last night?" He sounded a little harsh.

"I told you I had plans Cat Noir. We aren't supposed to know anything at all about each other besides our occupation anyways." He sighed and looked away. "We are partners, Cat Noir. Not lovers. I'm sorry." All she could do was run. She had to run and transform back before she felt even worse.

Cat Noir went in a separate direction, heading to the boy's room to change back. Instead, he didn't. He just stood there. Cat Nor hadn't used his cataclysm; he wouldn't change back anytime soon. He decided to skip the end of class. Considering a kid was akumatized, it's really rare anyone would stay much longer. He left the bathroom, sneaking outside. He decided to sit up in the tree right in front of the school for a while.

Ladybug went to the girl's room on the other floor and changed back. "That was rough," Tikki said, going into Marinette's purse.

Marinette nodded, "But you have to admit that was the fastest we have ever defeated an akumatized victim."

Tikki couldn't help but laugh. "You have a point."

She sat down for a moment on top of one of the toilets. "You think Cat Noir will be okay? You think he will ever understand?"

Tikki looked down for a moment, then faced Marinette. "Maybe if you told him you were in love with someone else, or," Tikki stopped.

"What?" Marinette questioned.

"Maybe if you told him, you would rather wait until you finish defeating Hawk Moth to have a relationship?" Marinette looked away a moment in deep thought.

Next thing she knew, the bell to end the school day rang. "I guess an akumatization calls for early dismissal," Tikki said. Marinette got up and left the bathroom. She quickly went into the classroom to grab her things. After that, out the door she went.

Cat Noir was sitting in the tree playing with leaves when he saw the students leaving the school. "Early dismissal hm?" He looked around and saw Marinette running out; it looked like she was on her way home. She was already around the corner and hone. Cat Noir jumped out of the tree and used his staff to leap on to buildings.

He followed Marinette all the way to her place. "Does she usually go straight home after school?" He questioned leaping over to her balcony. He noticed her door was slightly ajar and heard the conversation going on faintly downstairs.

"We heard about the incident at school, are you okay?" That must be her mother.

"Yeah, I'm fine," Marinette said.

"You did a good thing coming straight home." That must be her dad.

"Well, I am grounded after all," Marinette's voice was really low.

"Grounded?" Cat Noir thought.

"Anyways, I'm gonna go up to my room now."

"Wait! Please take these few macaroons to cheer you up." Her mother seemed really nice.

"Thanks mom!" He heard her voice growing louder as she came up the steps. Cat Noir began to leave. "Cat Noir?" He froze. "What are you doing on my balcony?" Marinette had noticed her door open, she saw a black figure and only guessed.

"Uh, well, I was just taking in the scenary, ya know?" He started to act fly.

Marinette was confused. Why would he be here? "I saved your school from some crazy guy holding a pair of underwear and thought I might see if you were alright."

Marinette went outside and joined him. He was smiling wide, scratching his head in a nervous way. "You okay, Cat Noir?"

His smile faded a little. "Yeah, I'm fine. Why?"

Marinette shrugged. "I don't know, it's just odd. You coming here after saving someone. Usually, you and Ladybug split and go home to wherever."

He sighed. "I kind of called out Ladybug, trying to see why she didn't come last night." Marinette kind of just folded her arms with a sad look on her face. "She said we could only be friends. Partners. Nothing more." Marinette finally remembered what Tikki said.

She held up her finger to Cat Noir. "Hold that thought." She said as she went back into her room. He watched her return with a plate of macaroons. His face lightened a little. "Think about this Cat Noir." He took a macaroon and popped it in his mouth. "What if Ladybug doesn't want to be in a relationship because she is focused on the task?" He looked surprised. "What if, she would rather wait until you defeated Hawk Moth? That was if anything happens between now and then, she wouldn't break your heart. Especially if she didn't make it through the ordeal."

He looked worried for a moment. "To think we might not survive the battle, huh?" He looked out at the sky. "You really think she just doesn't want to break my heart?"

Marinette nodded. "If I know anything about you and Ladybug, it's that you both are the best superheroes in all of Paris. Things could happen. I think you both will succeed! Until then, partners are what you two should be."

Cat Noir smiled and looked at her, "Thanks Marinette." She giggled. "What?" He asked.

"You have a little bit of macaroon on the corner of your mouth." He blushed, wiping it away. They both laughed together for a moment.

Cat Noir got up on the railing, "Thanks again for all the help. You really made me feel better."

She waved and smiled. "Anything for a friend."

Cat Noir smiled sweetly, "A friend." He leapt away.

Marinette gave out a sigh of relief, heading back into her room. "Wow, you did great Marinette!"

She gave Tikki a macaroon. "I think he will simmer down a little now. As long as we are friends, I think everything will work out."

Tikki munched on her macaroon. "What if he decided he wanted to be more than friends with you?"

Marinette swirled around in her chair. "What do you mean?"

Tikki flew into her lap. "Like what Chloe tried to do to Adrien?"

Marinette blushed. "You mean like have a physical relationship with Cat Noir?" Tikki nodded. Marinette just stared at her. "I've never even done it to myself, how would I know how to have a physical relationship with another person?" Tikki looked surprised. "What?"

"Isn't it normal for a girl your age to experiment herself?"

Marinette shrugged. "I guess it never really became an interest of mine."

Tikki laughed. "You're a woman Marinette! Even I, as a kwami, understand that."

Marinette looked over at her computer. "Maybe I should look up more on this whole amis avec des avantages?"

Cat Noir went back to the school, changing back in a hidden location. He was just in time for his ride, and pretended like he just got out of school. "Like he would even notice," Adrien though. He got into the car and was quiet the whole way home.

When he finally got back to his house, Nathalie sat him down in the kitchen for dinner. He slowly picked at it, wracking his brain on all the events that happened today. "You will need to study Chinese in your room after dinner." Nathalie left him alone like always. He was always alone at home.

Plagg came out of hiding when the coast was clear, and stole some food off of Adrien's plate. "Whatcha thinkin' about?" He asked.

Adrien just fiddles with his meal. "The term 'Amis avec des avantages' keeps coming in to my mind."

Plagg nodded. "As a young man it's pretty understandable."

Adrien stopped playing with his food. "What do you mean?"

Plagg threw more food in his mouth. "Ya know, puberty, having tingling feelings, and trying to fix it yourself."

Adrien stared at Plagg, "What?"

Plagg looked surprised. "What, you mean you never had the talk?"

Adrien shrugged, "I know how babies are made, just nothing else in general. How it works and what to do?"

Plagg picked up a bunch of food. "We are going to your room right now."

Adrien got ip, "What are we doing?"

Plagg smiled, "we are going to fix that curiosity of yours."
