Chapter One: New Adventures

"Okay. This shouldn't take too long. Most Gems come around pretty quickly when I invite them to Little Homeschool in person." Steven says as he, Alexis and Lapis are walking around on a new planet.

"What a gorgeous planet." Lapis says as she looks around.

"It truly is beautiful." Alexis says as the group then sees a mysterious flower bud creature.

"Woah." Steven says as he proceeds to touch the creature making it retreat into a bush with other flower creatures.

"They seem shy. Perhaps a different approach Steven?" Aledos asks as she looks at Steven who nods.

"It's okay little guy. Hahaha." Steven says as he pets one of the creatures before they all crawl on him.

"Wow Steven. It took you a whole five seconds to make a new friend. You're getting rusty." Lapis says as she chuckles.

"Yeah. You might wanna practice a bit on that or the others will run circles around you." Alexis says.

"You know I never used to notice creatures like this. Before Earth and you two I used to terraform planets without thinking twice. I wonder what I destroyed. Life like this is so precious." Lapis says as she looks at one of the creatures before Alexis hears something and shifts to wolf form sniffing the air.

"Guys." Alexis says as the group walks onto an edge to see what's going on and sees destruction.

"Ah. So the rumors are true." Steven says.

"You think they didn't get your message that we're not destroying planets anymore?" Lapis asks.

"From the looks of this place I'd say not." Alexis says.

"I'm sure they did. Everyone did. But I'll get them to stop." Steven says.

"This might be harder than you think." Lapis says as something flies by.

"There they are." Steven says as the group sees two other Lapis's.

"It's okay. Stay calm." Alexis says as she sees the destruction is scaring the flower creatures.

"Hey! Stop!" Steven shouts before the Lapis's throw a tidal wave at the group before Lapis protects the group.

"That was close." Alexis says in relief.

"Well what do you think? We're almost done with this world." A lighter Lapis says as she and the other Lapis come over.

"And who's this? We don't need the extra help." A darker Lapis says as she looks at Lapis.

"You must have heard about our exemplary work. That's why you're here I presume." The lighter Lapis says proudly.

"Yeah. Well no. Look the empire is over." Steven says as Alexis nods.

"We know." The lighter Lapi says.

"The Diamonds don't control you anymore." Steven says.

"That's right." The darker Lapis says.

"So you don't have to terraform planets for them anymore." Steven says.

"So you're free to do whatever you like. You don't have to do things like this." Alexis says.

"Why don't you come on down to Little Homeschool where you can-" Steven then gets cut off by the lighter Lapis.

"Oh I see. This is just a misunderstanding." The lighter Lapis says.

"Terraforming is what we like." The darker Lapis says.

"Here we go." Lapis says as Alexis looks at her.

"Uh okay wait. You're free to do whatever you like... as long as it's not destroying a world." Steven says.

"That's not what you just said a second ago." The darker Lapis says.

"Why would we stop?" The lighter Lapis asks.

"Because it's wrong!" Lapis shouts.

"Wait, wait, wait, wait, wait. How can the thing we've always done just suddenly be wrong? At the very least we've got to finish this world! We're almost done!" The lighter Lapis says.

"Team huddle?" Steven asks.

"Team huddle." Alexis and Lapis say in union.

"One moment please. You're right. This is harder than usual." Steven says as he, Alexis and Lapis retreat away from the two gems.

"You've just got to force them to stop. This is going to be a fight. They're not nice like me." Lapis says.

"I think Lapis maybe right. They don't seem like they'll listen." Alexis says.

"Uhmm..." Steven says unsurely.

"Exactly." Lapis says.

"They just don't understand that they're doing harm. Y-you get it. What made it click for you?" Steven asks.

"A cycle of horrible torture. But other than that living in nature, getting creative and getting to know special people in my life." Lapis says as she and Alexis blush.

"Yeah. Come on! We can do that for them." Steven says confidently.

"Okay. Let's give it a go." Alexis says.

"Okay. Just a little torture." Lapis says.

"N-no. Just the other stuff." Steven says as Lapis sighs.

"Fine. We'll try it your way." Lapis says as the group returns to the two other gems.

"Hey so why don't we explore the many things that you can do that don't involve destroying worlds?" Steven asks.

"Should we listen to him?" The darker Lapis asks as she looks at the lighter Lapis.

"He is half-Diamond. Maybe we should half-listen." The lighter Lapis says.

"I'll take that as a yes. Let's go." Steven says as he smiles.
