Hermione walked straight to the eighth-year common rooms. When she first arrived at school, she'd thought that having this space only for the eighth years was great since there would only be a handful of them, therefore there would be less noise. Now she was thinking about how she had nowhere to go that Draco couldn't also access unless she went to the Gryffindor common room. If she went there, though, she would have to be let in by another Gryffindor since she was no longer living in those rooms, and she didn't want to deal with Ginny or her friends right now.

As she walked into the common room, she was disappointed to see that nobody else was in there, which meant there was even more of a chance that Draco was going to try to talk to her. She sped her walk up a little more and headed for her room. "Granger!" She heard Draco yell behind her and ignored it, speeding up more so that she was more jogging than walking at this point. "Dammit, Hermione, stop!" She felt his hand close around her arm, effectively stopping her movements.

Hermione looked met Draco's eyes and turned her nose up. She would never admit it, but worse than being bound to him was the inevitable rejection that she knew must be coming. Just because he'd been nice for all of ten minutes didn't mean he'd changed his views on who she was. With her binding herself to him, accident or not, it must have made him hate her even more. "What do you want Draco?" She sighed. She figured they might as well get this conversation over with.

He stared at her, his expression showing a combination of anger and confusion, "Don't you think we need to talk about this? I don't know about you, but I'm right scared."

Hermione rolled her eyes at him, "There is nothing to talk about. Professor McGonagall is going to find a way to fix this, we'll break the binding and everything will go right back to normal." She tried to pull her arm out of his grasp, but he held it just tight enough that she couldn't wiggle loose.

"And what happens if she can't find a way to reverse it, Granger? Don't you think we should prepare for every scenario, even just talk about it?" Hermione couldn't figure out why this was so important to him. If the Headmistress couldn't figure it out, they would find another way out of this mess.

She breathed out a sigh and looked up at him, "Look Draco, I understand that you don't particularly care for this situation, and neither do I. This has been an emotional day; I just want to go lay down for a bit. Can we please wait to talk about this? We have three days before any decisions need to be made."

Draco looked as though he wanted to argue with her, to demand that they talk about it now, but as she mentioned wanting to lay down, the throbbing behind his eyes that screamed their exhaustion became more painful. "Alright," he said, nodding his agreement. "A bit of sleep, then we talk."

Hermione nodded and took off to her room, knowing that despite her exhaustion, she wouldn't be getting much sleep.
