[With light of the beginning Sparkle, sparkle

The light of the end lu la la li la

The hourglass El Ragna that does not turn

Time does not flow from it lu la la li la

The flames of countless lives,

fall through and become stars

They fly beautifully and fade away

in the cradle of life and death

Sing, sing, the two wishes are now,

strongly strongly, shining in heavenly gold

It speaks of eternity-

Shine upon me El Ragna Upon everything,

it spins and spins lu la la li la

Sadness and happiness are both

part of my hazy destiny

All of this is the dream works of a minutes time

When God blinks, we are already dead and gone again

Resonate, resonate, now as your true from

Fleetingly, fleetingly, the visions of men recede

It prays for eternity.] - Angelise Ikaruga Misurugi, Eternal Story ~Song of Light~

In a world where humans with mana are dominating the world and humans without them, as known as 'norma,' are being discriminated against to the point of being cast away, a world was left in peace when those outside are facing a huge struggle against their targets.

Outside from miles away from the world of mana, bloodshed and explosions are all over the battlefield as those dragons, called DRAGON, are up against a group of large jets and humongous humanoid mechas that are only run by norma females.

Miles away from the battlefield is an isolated island that is only populated by norma which there's only female population inside.

Arzenal

Arzenal is a place where only norma was casted to, meaning their only survival is to fight and gain bounty.

They sometimes have peace too if DRAGON's hadn't come over and attacked humanity altogether.

While many are fighting outside, no para-mail mechas are around and the residents are bidding the girls some luck.

Barking, a dog sits down as his middle-aged owner rubs his back and then moves her head up towards a mature brunette woman in a lab coat who was approaching said middle-aged woman.

"Fancy seeing you here, Maggie." The middle-aged woman called.

"Indeed. You seem to have more concern for those girls, haven't you, Jasmine?" Maggie asked.

"Well, you see, we're living a life where we're nothing but tools to hunt down those DRAGON's." Jasmine lets out a stressful sigh, knowing how awful this world treats the normas.

As Maggie takes her seat and hands out the documents about a certain norma, Jasmine can tell what Maggie is speaking to her about the one who took most of the DRAGON's down.

"Ah. This girl. She spends a lot on her repairs and anything the least luxurious. Angelise Ikaruga Misurugi, or as told by us all, Ange."

"That's right. The former princess of the 'Empire of Misurugi,' a country where they claim for it to be 'perfect' when it's far from it."

"True." Jasmine agreed.

With both women drinking together along with the dog, Vulcan, eating his meal, Maggie and Jasmine are looking into the records of Ange.

"It all started with her being arrested for being a norma, her parents are killed and her siblings are ruling the kingdom together. Those were the times that changed her life forever." Said Maggie.

"Indeed. Also, what happened to Coco, Miranda and Zola had changed Ange to become stronger, willful and a bit greedy. Not that I have a problem with that, it's just business." Jasmine points out while puffing smoke from her pipe.

"Unsurprisingly." Maggie agreed.

Before they discuss something, Jasmine slides some fuel for a young maintenance foreman, Zhao Mei, leading Mei to catch it and take it to fuel para-mails once they return.

Jasmine sighs and turns her head with smoke coming out of her mouth. "AW-CBX007 Villkiss, that's the para-mail Ange was capable of using. It's also useful for us to repel the DRAGON's and give me some more cash."

"Yeah. I also had to check up on her everyday, considering she does some stupid stunts which could be considered suicide. But can I blame her?"

"Sometimes you do and sometimes you don't." Said Jasmine.

Maggie slowly turns towards the battlefield from afar and then drinks her coffee.

"Nobody likes her guts. Even Ange tends to be distrustful of others, and that's before she went missing for days."

"Well, the damage was due to the engine that caused Villkiss to lose location, meaning Villkiss went missing. Luckily Ange and the para-mail were found. It was after the time Hilda bought Zola's quarters and I accepted that payment."

"Yes. You couldn't help yourself." Maggie sighs while staring at Jasmine for her gypsy antics.

"Hey, can't this old lady have some money."

"Fair point."

Jasmine continues while releasing another document which shows a short dark haired girl. "After her return, a maid from an empire named Momoka Oginome has come over to see Ange again and wasn't as hostile as we thought of her being."

"Well, humans with mana are terrible, but this girl is one of the rare few that shows how different humans are. The opposite of Emma." Said Maggie before turning towards a bespectacled woman. "No offence."

"Hmph. Whatever. Once you two finish your chit-chat, get back to your positions, filthy vermin!" Emma Bronson scowled at the norma duo.

Before Emma leaves, Jasmine picks up a half kettle.

"More coffee?"

"Thank you very much." Maggie accepts with her mug being refilled, causing Emma to be flabbergasted.

"Hey! Don't ignore me!" Emma snaps.

"What? We're just having an adult conversation. And shouldn't you be doing your job?" Jasmine called out without a hint of anger.

This had Emma banging her foot on the floor and growling while holding in her rage.

"Just do as you're told! And if I catch you do something stupid, then I'll make sure to have you both punished!"

After warning the norma duo, Emma storms out and leaves the duo alone.

Afterwards, Maggie sips her coffee.

"Where were we?"

"Momoka's arrival and her permanent living at Arzenal." Jasmine answers.

"Ah yes! Hm, Ange never gives up, even when she's ill. Honestly, that girl, but at least she came back covered in blood." Maggie sighs in happiness at the sight of blood from both normas and DRAGON's.

Jasmine has no words while watching a horde of para-mails in flight mode returning which means another victory for them.

"Well. I'm off. It's for the best not to tell Jill about this." Said Maggie.

"I'm aware of this. Remember Libertus?"

Maggie remains silent as their mission from a long time ago has failed.

Then they split off as Jasmine expected something from Ange.

Then Jasmine catches some cash that was tossed and then opens her eyes to see a blonde girl, Ange.

"The usual?"

"The usual." Ange answered, knowing that she requested some repairs, refuelling and some polishing for Villkiss.

"Honestly, you do it all the time. Just because you selflessly protect others, doesn't mean you can take all the kills."

"Relax, old lady, I got plenty to go around. Besides, I'm giving out some cash for others as daily compensation." Ange flips her wrapped up notes while holding out a bunch of letters to her comrades.

Jasmine sighs and hands out a bottle of water.

"The vending machine's broken. It's currently being repaired."

"Huh. Thanks." Ange took 2 as the second one is for her maid, Momoka. "So what's Jill up to?" Ange asks while taking a swig.

"Dunno. Probably be something important. Anyways, you should rest for now." Jasmine requested.

"Well, that's what I'm planning on doing. See ya."

Afterwards, Ange waves while handing out some compensation for her allies, despite not wanting to do it.

Jasmine then drops some beef jerky in order to feed Vulcan.

Inside a dorm, a maid, Momoka, is watching the sky as she sees some doves flying past.

A door opens as a bottle is tossed towards Momoka, leading her to catch it.

"Ah! Angelise-sama! Welcome back." Momoka bows while being respectful to the former princess of Misurugi.

Ange is no longer in a revealing blue pilot suit, but is now in an Arzenal uniform and a black skirt.

"Hey, Momoka. So, what's going on back here?" Ange leans down on her bed and lets Momoka sit down next to her.

"I know it sounded silly, but I had a talk with Jill."

"Really? Doesn't seem silly to me." Ange then relaxes as she's about to fall asleep until lunchtime happens.

"She told me about Libertus." Momoka spills it out which leads Ange to open one of her eyes out of confusion.

"Libertus? What's that?"

Out of curiosity, Ange is interested to know what Jill told Momoka about earlier.

Momoka regrets telling Ange the truth about Jill and her plan on Libertus.

While Momoka whispers to Ange about what Jill told her about that plan, Ange then gasps while jolting up from her back, realising that Jill is planning on something suicidal, even killing her comrades and innocent people.

"When?"

"I don't know. After summer." Momoka assumed.

That's plenty of time for Ange to get some answers from Jill, her own Commander.

Even if it's hard to believe, Ange wants proof.
