The Loneliest Demigod

Chapter 1: The Discovery

Third Person PoV

Percy Jackson slammed his head on his desk as he waited for another 2 hours till the Latin test ended. He was currently taking a Latin Test at Yancy Academy. He had finished the test in 20 mins easily breaking his previous record of 30 mins. Yes, he was a genius yes, he gets straight A's but the reality was he hated finishing test quickly. The reason being he had to wait. But he couldn't WAIT at all. The reason for this is because he had ADHD. As well as that, he had dyslexia but that had been fixed since he started reading 1 hour in secret at the library every day without his abusive stepfather (Gabe Ugliano). It was a secret between his and his lovely mother Sally Jackson. She taught him everything and helped him get through his dyslexia. In Percy's eyes she was a goddess. She was the most kind-hearted person in the world with beautiful black hair and dazzling blue eyes. However, if you got her angry it was like dealing with the devil.

Grumbling, he took out his earphones and phone and started listening to music.

Music was the only thing that soothed him to be honest. His favourite types were Pop-rock, Rock and Hip-Hop. Disappointedly, he sighed. He wished that he could just run to the music room get a guitar and amplifier and start booming.

2 hours later of twiddling his thumbs…

Percy jumped for joy as he dashed towards Mr Brunner and handed his paper in. Before the class sprint outside for the end of school he shouted, "Don't forget tomorrow is the trip to the Metropolitan Museum of Art!"

As fast as lightning, he dashed towards the small apartment his mother owned and raced up the stairs. He entered the room and was greeted by the disgusting scent of beer and cigarettes. Sighing, he looked at the abysmal sight before him. Beer cans were littered everywhere, and cigarettes were lying on the floor. Gabe and his friends just spilt this trash everywhere and didn't even bother to clean up. They just sat their lazy asses down on the chairs and played poker.

But next to them was his lovely mother cleaning up all the litter. As her eyes laid on Percy a smile bigger that the moon broke out on her face.

"Percy!" she exclaimed hugging him tightly, "How was your day at school honey?"

"It was fine Mom." Percy grumbled pretending to be annoyed by being treating like a child but deep down he was ecstatic.

"Good and how was the Latin test?" she asked sternly.

"BORING!" Percy replied, "I wish I could have just got an electric guitar and amplifier and started booming. By the way when are you getting that?"

Her eyes looked troubled as she stared at him. Eventually, she sighed and said tiredly "Percy you know we have financial troubles. We'll get it in some time."

"No no it's ok!", Percy replied hurriedly worrying he had stressed her out too much.

Before she could reply, Gabe spanked Sally and said gruffly, "Bean dip. Now."

Rage filled his mind. 'He keeps spanking my mother. I WILL NOT TOLERATE THIS!', Percy growled inwardly, 'I'LL MAKE HIM PAY!' A gut wrenching feeling coursed through him and then…

BOOM!

The water pipes exploded, the apartment shook, and it became unnaturally windy all of a sudden. The water attacked Gabe ferociously as Percy roared, "NEVER SPANK MY MOTHER AGAIN!"

Somehow Percy felt as if he could control the water. But that went out of the window and as a loud THWACK! was heard.

"GO TO YOUR ROOM BEFORE I HURT YOU MORE!" Gabe said maliciously.

He said nothing in return he just glared in return and stormed into his room.

Percy PoV

I stared at the ceiling. Why did the water pipes burst when I got angry? None of it made sense… Unless I was supernatural. It sounded stupid but reasonable too. I mean look I can read and write Greek unreasonable well and aced those lessons at school. So maybe I was the son of a Greek Deity? But which one? The water pipes burst which means I'm the son of a sea deity, but the earth shook too. As well as that it became kinda windy...

My eyes widened as I realized who my father was.

I whispered, "I'm the son of Poseidon the god of the seas and father of horses. Also known as the Storm Bringer and the Earth shaker."
