A bearded man wearing a grey shirt and a green cap appeared on the screen.
The Hall bust into noise with everyone asking what the hell this was they were watching about Voldemort coming to Hogwarts.
"Hey, Brother! Jay, we have said it many times but never, I repeat, never hire Voldemort to plan your Wedding."
Most of the Hall flinched at Voldemorts name, making Harry roll his eyes. How would they ever fight him when people nearly wet themselves over saying his name.
Fred and George broke down laughing. "Why im sure He who Must Not be named is amazing for flower arrangement" They managed to gasp out at the laughed as Mrs Weasley shouted at them for daring to make fun of Voldemort.
"I mean, you probably wouldn´t anyway as far as I gather he doesn´t really understand like the whole love thing but you probably wouldn´t anyway because he´s dead so there´s that.
Most of the Hall broke into confusion. They had just seen a death eater summoning He Who Must Not Be Named, yet this person is saying that he is dead.
But most specifically you shouldn´t hire him because he sucks at planning stuff."
Harry noticed that Mr Malfoy and the kids of Death eaters all looked angry at their so-called Lord being disrespected by a muggle but wisely kept their mouth shut, which surprised Harry as Draco usually couldn't wait to tell everyone what he thought as if anyone actually cared.
"Was it really necessary for Harry to win the Tri-wizard Cup for him to kidnap him?
Many of the people looked unsure of what to think.
"How else would he get Harry?" Someone asked.
"Well, seeing as Barty Crouch was pretending to be Mad-Eye Moody and we bumped into him a few time's in Hogsmeade, he could have just slipped him a portkey via a switching spell, or he could just ask to talk to him alone and then stun him and apparate to where Voldemort was. Those are just of the top of my head," Hermione said as most of the hall turned to look at her.
"Well, thankfully, your not a Dark Lady, or we would be really screwed," Neville said as Ron and Harry nodded, and some of the other student's gave Hermione a slightly scared glance.
Harry couldn't help but smirk when she saw the kids of the death eaters face when Hermione came up with two better plans off the top of her head than Voldemort did with weeks or months of planning.
It seems like there would have been easier ways to do it but then again the Plan doesn´t exactly go smoothly so maybe the real issue is that we don´t know his entire plan, but today we think we have figured it out.
"I am curious what he would have done if the Dragon had killed me in the first task," Harry asked aloud, seeing people giving him nervous looks.
"What he seemed to want to use my blood no matter what, and while Moody did give me a hint to use the summoning charm, he could have also just given me a book and said that I may find it useful," Harry said with a shrug. As although the tip Barty had given him was indeed helpful, Harry was sure that Hermione would have thought of the same thing or another good plan.
"Okay so to be fair to Voldemort the fact that he pulled off anything at all is pretty dang miraculous."
Most of the hall flinched again, with most of the hall looking uneasy as if by simply pointing out his plan was stupid, he would magically appear before us in the presence of Lady Hecate. While some of the people like Mad-Eye Moody, Madam Bone's, Sirius, Remus and Tonks all looked like they were thinking about how true that was and in truth, Harry had to agree.
"First he send Barty Crouch Jr. who has just spent one year in Azkaban Prison and then over a decade under the Imperius Curse with his Father to overpower none other than Mad Eye Moody."
Harry noticed that Madam Bones was looking angry when she heard about Barty Crouch Sr using the Imperius Cruse and glared at Fudge. And everyone looked at Moody when his name came up and quickly looked away, seeing him glaring.
"You know just Mad Eye Moody the insanely tough battle-tested War Veteran best Auror of his time Mad-eye Moody. Obvious target for a guy who hasn´t practiced Magic in like 15 years."
Harry heard many people around the hall whispering about how Moody was subdued now that the video pointed out that the person who did it had spent 15 years not being able to practice magic, but no one dared to ask Moody this seeing the look of fury on his face and him mumbling about dirty dark wizards.
"Somehow that works though and then his Job is just to impersonate the guy for you know an entire year on the fly.
"How did Barty Crouch manage to impersonate a lifelong friend of Dumbledore without him noticing?" Hermione asked to Harry and Ron.
"Maybe he tortured it out of him," Harry said, remembering the pain of the torture curse with a shiver down his spine. Harry was sure that a combination of the torture curse and the Imperius curse would be able to get information out of everyone.
Just impersonate a guy who has two Major disabilities, missing an eye and a Leg. How hard could it be to get used to that very quickly?"
Harry heard many people asking each other how hard that must have been. The loss of one eye would be a massive problem, let alone the loss of the eye and leg.
"But after that all he has to do is you know bewitch a super powerful Magical Artefact, the Goblet of Fire, get Harry´s name to come out of it and then get him to the Center of the Maze first."
"How did he trick a powerful magical artefact?" Harry heard a girl he recognised called Su Li, a best friend of Cho.
Harry noticed that no one seemed to have an answer to that, and Harry never was told how his name was entered and how a magical contract was applied to him. Then again, he never even saw the contract or the rules of the Triwizard tournament.
"By the way, he totally acts like Harry needs to actually like do well at the first two Tasks which he definitely doesn´t."
"They didn't?" asked Cho, confused.
"Why have three tasks if the first two didn't matter" Harry heard a few others call out.
Which made him think about the third task. They said whoever got to the cup first won, so was the first two tasks really pointless or was the cup just worth a set amount of points? In hindsight, the whole thing wasn't really thought out well.
"All that matters to him in the end is that he touches the Cup first. Harry actually has to compete in the Tournament because of a binding Magical Contract and Crouch just like zaps the other Contestants while he is in the Maze anyway. So what does it matter where Harry stands at that point?"
"But whatever, even if that´s the plan and even if that´s a little convoluted. That´s not even the biggest problem, the biggest problem is the Triwizard Cup. If you recall earlier in the book JK Rowling sets up the idea of a Portkey when Harry and the Weasleys travel to the Quidditch World Cup."
"What hand on book what the hell do you mean, books?" Harry asked to Lady Hecate.
Lady Hecate turned al looked at Harry. "The Multiverse is larger than you could ever begin to imagine. As for who JK is, she is a clairvoyant, and she has in her dreams seen your world and turned it into a book she had no idea that was she saw was actually real." Lady Hecate said before gazing off after explaining to Harry.
"Anyway when Portkeys are first explained to us it works a little bit like this: If you are touching a specific Object at a specific Time you will be transported to a specific place."
"But alas The Triwizard Cup, the Portkey at the center of the Maze, does not exactly follow these rules. It is basically just waiting for the first person to touch it and that is actually how most Portkeys work. Instead of needing to touch it at a specific time it´s more just for security purposes if there´s tons of people heading to one Location like the Quidditch World Cup."
"So are there different types of Portkeys then?" A student asked.
"They are more like subtypes. They can work on contact with the Portkey or at a set time, and the final one is using a codeword.
"Either way, that´s not what is weird about it. What is weird about it is the fact that it is enchanted to work TWICE and not back and forth from the same place."
"Why was it enchanted to come back from the graveyard?" Susan Bones asked, looking more confused after it was pointed out.
"Maybe You Know Who wanted to make a statement with Harry's body", Someone else said.
"The first time Harry grabs it he is transported to the Graveyard (A scene of Harry standing up in front of some graves was shown with one Grave clearly having the Letters RIDDLE on it.)
Many of the people in the Hall shivered at the look of the graveyard as it was one of the most creepy looking graveyards that anyone had ever seen.
Harry noticed Mr Malfoy looking away when the graveyard was shown.
But the second time he grabs it (Harry was shown next to Cedrics corpse and the Cup flew into his hand) he is transported back to the school (Harry bowed over Cedric as Dumbledore runs towards him followed by Students.) but not to the center of the Maze at the entrance of the Maze."
Harry heard Cho break down in tears at the sight of Cedric's body, and Harry himself winced, remembering that had he not told Cedric to share the cup with him, then he would still be alive.
"This is kind of interesting because it could suggest that the Triwizard Cup was intended to be a Portkey the whole time. As in the Triwizard Tournament aka the Most Boring spectator Sport in all of history. Would be the most boring at the most exciting moment. Which is when someone actually wins."
"It was always a portkey and was meant to bring the champion back to the entrance of the Maze." Fudge said.
"So if you can imagine cannon fires, contestants enter the Maze, somewhere deep in the Maze you can´t look into someone wins the Tournament."
Harry heard many of the students agree that it was boring to watch as all they could do was look at a bunch of hedges. That the only good event was the first one. Harry rolled his eyes at that. Yes, it was all fun and games for you as it wasn't you forced into fighting a dragon. Harry was sure none of them would like to have been in his position.
"Also would probably suck having to find your way like back out of the Maze to show everyone your fancy new glowing Cup."
"How were the other people meant to get out of the maze?" Harry heard Seamus ask Dean, who shrugged.
"But if it was intended to be a Portkey the whole time it could be so much more exciting. Everyone enters the Maze, someone finds the middle of the Maze and boom. There they are holding the Cup at the Entrance of the Maze. And the Crowd goes wild. (The Crowd was shown with Mr Diggory clapping enthusiastically.)"
Everyone in the hall flinched at the video, knowing that Mr Diggory was about to see his dead son, and Cho started crying again, seeing his lifeless body on the projection as Su Li started to console her once more.
"It would make sense but doesn´t yet explain how Voldemorts plan could have been a little more elaborate than what we saw. And besides that even if that was the plan, Barty Crouch Junior is the last person to handle the Cup before Harry and Cedric touch it. So clearly he programmed it to go off twice. What gives?"
"Maybe he couldn't remove the first Portkey Charm", Hermione said more to herself than to anyone else.
"Must be Voldemort wanted his return to be secret," Harry told her.
"Why might Voldemort want to come back to Hogwarts?"
"He wouldn't even as strong as he is her couldn't fight off all the teachers of Hogwarts at once, including Dumbledore," Sirius thought aloud with several people nodding to what Sirius thought.
"Because again, worst case Scenario for Voldemort and his return is everyone learning that it happened. Especially Dumbledore and people at the Ministry (Dumbledore, Cornelius Fudge and the Hogwarts Teachers were show in succession) all of whom are currently at Hogwarts."
Harry snorted loudly and saw most of the people in the hall looking at him. "What the Minister had Barty Crouch Jr tell him Voldemort was back under truth potion and not only ignored him but had him killed via the Dementor's kiss so no one else would be able to interrogate him," Harry explained and saw that Madam Bones seemed to look furious Harry wondered if she had even been told about Barty.
"Harry" Hermione angrily whispered to him, no doubt angry about him talking bad about the Minister but Harry hadn't liked him since the 2nd year when he showed to be in Mr Malfoy's pocket and sent Hagrid to prison without trial so that it looked like he was doing something.
"I mean he must have wanted to send someone back then though, but who?"
"Even if he sent someone back, they wouldn't be able to pull off being Harry for long," Ron said in an annoyed tone.
"Maybe he would want to send Harrys body back to flaunt his Victory, and yet, that´s no good for one. He keeps promising Nagini that she can eat Harry after he has killed him, and two again, he wanted to return in secret.
"Not sure why he cared. The Ministry is full of his people, and those that aren't his people refused to believe he is even back," Harry mumbled in a snarky tone. Harry remembered how he gave a list of people to the Minister, and he just ignored it, saying they are all good upstanding wizards. Harry was sure that by good and upstanding, the Minister meant they paid a good amount of money in bribes.
the fact that Harry is able to return and alert Dumbledore and Fudge that he´s back is a huge problem for his plan or atleast it should be, except Fudge is the frickin worst."
Snorts sounded throughout the room, and Fudge turned a shade of red.
"Maybe he wanted to bring his entirely newly formed body and his Army back to Hogwarts and stage a surprise attack? But again, same problem. Wants to return in secret not in front of Dumbledore."
A lot of people in the room shivered at the idea of Voldemort making a sneak attack on the school with so many of the students there. After all, something like Fiendfire would cause horrific amounts of damage.
"So why the return function if sending back anyone at all basically reveals your return and you fully plan to kill Harry? Because, not sending Harry back is almost just as bad as revealing yourself."
"Ya, the entire country would be demanding to know what happened to the boy who lived," Ron said to Harry while everyone else within hearing distance nodded.
"If Harry just disappears into the Maze and never returns. Maybe not everyone would figure it out but I have a feeling Dumbledore would. And in any case, Harry is kind of famous and I have a feeling the entire Wizarding World would sort of be interested in wondering why he disappeared."
"I would certainly suspect death eaters and that Voldemort would have something to do with it," Dumbledore said as he seemed to be thinking deeply.
"The media wouldn't rest either, and im sure there are ways to find where the Triwizard cup went, and the fake Moody would be the prime suspect, and his cover would be blown pretty quick," Susan said to Hannah.
"So how do you kill Harry without anybody finding out that he´s dead and also not letting anyone know you returned?"
"Polyjuice", Hermione quickly said aloud, and Harry noticed Madam Bones and the man called Scrimgeour giving her impressed looks.
"They wouldn't be able to trick me, and you thought we would know it isn't as if they would have time to learn every little face about Harry", Ron said.
The man stroked his beard mockingly.
"Only there was a way in the Wizarding World to look like someone else... Oh yeah wait (Snape was shown a flask in his hand before saying "Polyjuice Potion")"
"I can look like anyone as well," Tonks said, looking miffed.
"Yes, but thankfully you are on our side, so we don't have to worry about a Metamorphgus looking like us to spy," Remus said.
"The exact thing that your secret agent has been using all year to great effect (Moody was shown sipping from his flask)."
Yes, yet again something Snape blamed me for even though he calls me a mediocre wizard, somehow I was meant to have broken into his store cabinet that he put spells on. Part of Harry wondered that if Snape didn't have it out for him, would they have caught the fake Moody before the end of the third task.
"Its perfect really nobody can see what is happening inside the Maze because it is the worst Spectator sport ever and there is no time limit so it doesn´t matter how long it takes. Harry goes into the Maze, touches the Cup, gets murdered, someone takes a piece of his hair, returns to the front of the Triwizard Tournament exactly where it´s supposed to end looking exactly like Harry."
"Didn't this man say the He Who Must Not Be Named was bad at planning as it seems this was a good plan and would be a perfect plan had it had some tweaks?" The masked man said that Harry had forgotten all about and seeing most people looked shocked, Harry guessed that they had also forgotten about him.
The strangest reaction came from Dumbledore, who seemed to be looking at the masked man with a mix of horror and disbelief. Before looking back at the projection, Harry could have sworn that Dumbledore wanted to say something but then decided not to, which made Harry even more curious about who the masked man was.
"AND Nagini gets to enjoy a nice dinner. Which actually sounds kind of delightful (Nagini was shown gliding over a table at which Lucius and Draco could be seen sitting, before she snapped at something) or morbid maybe I always get those confused."
Almost everyone in the Hall glared at the Malfoy family, and Harry saw Draco flinch back and saw that Madam Bones, Kingsley and Scrimgeour were whispering to each other while giving looks at the Malfoys, which made Mr Malfoy squirm in his seat. Harry hoped that they would actually have to face justice this time, but given his experience with the Ministry, he doubted it.
"Now Miraniel thinks that Voldemort himself would come back as Harry and this is where we start to disagree. We don´t think Voldemort quite wants to join the fray yet. I mean after all he just got converted from being like a weird Infant-Slug thing."
Harry shivered at the reminder of the repulsive thing that Voldemort was before his resurrection. As the rest of the hall whispered what the projection meant by infant-slug thing, not being able to imagine anything as grotesque as what Voldemort looked like.
"Plus there is no way that he could fool Ron, Hermione and Dumbledore as a Fake Harry. But you know who might be able to?"
"No one, we are best friends. We would know if someone was pretending to be Harry," Ron said, rolling his eyes.
Harry had an idea of who could have, and it filled him with hate.
"The guy who literally lived with Ron, Harry and Hermione as a Rat for three years: Peter Pettigrew (A scene of Peter Pettigrew was shown)."
"Fithily rat, I should have killed him when I had the chance", Sirius snarled out at the image of Peter Pettigrew. Part of Harry agreed. He wonders if he had let them kill Peter a year ago, would Voldemort have even been able to come back or would someone else have taken Peters role.
"Not only is he the best person for the job but he is actually the one person Voldemort absolutely knows (A scene of Pettigrew with a silver hand and Voldemort was shown) is going to be in the Graveyard with him and is one of his most trusted Servants."
"Not to mention he spent three years at Hogwarts, so he knows how I act and talk, and he tricked my parents into making him their secret keeper," Harry said with a small amount of venom in his voice.
"And that is what I believe is Voldemorts true and Complete Plan. For Harry to absolutely arrive at the Graveyard through the Cup so that he is able to kill him and then have Pettigrew return as an Imposter and get whatever Information or possibly even kill Dumbledore."
"I doubt a coward like Pettigrew would ever be able to kill Dumbledore", Sirius sneered as the rest of the hall paled at what could have happened. Harry noticed that Dumbledore was still distracted while taking glances at the masked man. The Malfoys were doing their best to not draw any more attention to themselves.
"That is, if Wormtail could get past Crookshanks WHICH I DOUBT."
"Did I ever say I love your cat, Hermione?" Ron said to Hermione.
