Onerey asks for Day 1: 'Do You Know How To Take Care of a Sick Person' with Gordon taking care of Scott.
Scott had faced many, many things in the past. He'd literally been to hell and back…but he wasn't sure about this AT ALL.
Not only was he the eldest – which meant he was the one who cared for everyone else – but he was also the healthiest (which just meant he hid his sicknesses better than his brothers – a far harder task than it sounded or should be [see: Eldest]).
There was no way his brothers should be caring for him when he was NOT sick. Na ah. No way. Now…if only he could get his brain to give his body the memo.
Because right now it didn't seem that the message to get up and get dressed was working as he was still prone in bed at 6 am, one hour later than his usual rising time. And if he knew his brothers – which he did, sometimes better than he would like – Gordon would be noticing his absence right about…now.
*Knock Knock*
He groaned. Really, he couldn't cope with the Fish this morning. Even the knocking was too upbeat for Scott this morning.
'Scott? Scott? Scotty?'
Better answer before Gordon got it into his head to wake up the bear. Scott opened his mouth, but instead of words all he could manage was a dry squeak, and that triggered a coughing fit.
Gordon, concerned when Scott hadn't appeared as usual after his morning run to share breakfast, heard the coughing and opened the door. He hauled ass to get to Scott's bed and pulled him upright, rubbing his back until the coughing lessened. He passed his brother the water from the bedside table and waited until Scott was under control before assisting him to lie back down.
'Lie back, Scotty, and I'll take care of you.'
Scott cracked open an eye and squinted suspiciously at his brother.
'Do you even know how to take care of a sick person?'
Gordon's cackling laugh was not reassuring.
