Rise Of Immortal King
As the sun began to set over Hogwarts, its most famous student was sitting outside by the shore of the lake contemplating the events of the previous few days. 'Well, this year is down a little bit earlier than normal, and I'm lonely this time too,' thought the boy with a sad smile. This young man was Harry Potter.
Harry Potter, Gryffindor's fourth year, was sitting outside by the shore of the lake and he didn't feel good about himself at all. This year was supposed to start good, it was supposed to finally be the one year where he didn't have someone trying to kill him. The first year it was trolls, three-headed dogs, and Quirrell who were possessed by the dark lord Voldemort, the dark lord whom he had stopped when he was a baby and was the reason for his fame. The second year it was a well-intentioned but rather idiotic house elf plus a seventy-foot basilisk and an evil diary belonging to Voldemort that possessed Ginny Weasley.
In his third year, it was soul-sucking demons, because it unaffectedly never got easier, plus a werewolf attack just after discovering the escaped mass murderer that he believed killed his parents was innocent and his godfather and escaped to get the actual mass murder and traitor who was disguised as a rat and pet of the boy who was his best friend.
It didn't help him to return to see his family every year.
At the start of this year, he thought it was possible for him to have a good year, it was the second time he had a defense teacher who was good at teaching defense and he would have hopefully been able to watch the Triwizard tournament along with the others.
Unfortunately, that year had already picked up momentum. The previous night his name had come out of the Goblet of Fire, although he had never put it in. Thinking about the Weasley twins' unsuccessful attempt to enter the contest he wondered how such a thing was even possible. As bad as that night had been, today was even worse. No one, not even his best friends Ron and Hermione, believed him when he insisted that he had not put his name in the Goblet of Fire. Neville seemed to be closer to believing it, and it was only because he replied with a confused look and a shrug saying "I don't know, Harry".A huge screaming match had broken out at lunch when Harry tried to talk to Ron and convince him to see it from his point of view, and as a result, he doubted that he would be on speaking terms with his alleged 'best friend' for quite some time. It also cost him 20 points, thanks to Professor Snape. Hermione didn't scream at him, but let it be known that she didn't believe him and was upset with him for blatantly breaking the rules. Harry was trying to avoid them, along with his classmates.
he was angry. Then he realized that getting angry won't help. He decided to cause big problems, he was going to create havoc by making a mockery of Hogwarts and the Triwizard tournament. He wasn't going to just cause problems for the committee, the champions, or the task, he was going to disrupt the school, along with the whole wizarding world. His second problem was how to cause problems.
Harry decided to use his cloak and go for a walk, hopefully, something would come to him. As he walked around the castle, one thing occurred to him: how many portraits there were, not to mention, how many statues and armor decorated the hallways. He would need to study up on that to see if he could find something to work. Another thing he noticed as he walked was dust and dirt just seemed to disappear. One minute it was there, like the cobwebs in the corner, the next it was gone. Then, Harry realized how he could destroy the tournament and have a lot of fun doing it.
Harry found a deserted corridor on the fourth floor, 'Dobby,' he called quietly. The little elf appeared before him, then Harry almost toppled over as Dobby hugged his legs, 'Hello Dobby.'
'The great Harry Potter called Dobby.'
'How would you like to work for me Dobby?'
'Dobby would be honored Harry Potter sir.'
'Okay, we'll work on wages and everything later if you want. But do you know of any other free elves that might want to work for me?'
'Dobby knows lots of free elves Harry Potter, but they want family, they do not want to pay.'
'Well, I suppose they could become my elves. I could make them the offer.'
'Can Dobby belong to Harry Potter?'
Harry knelt in front of the elf, 'I thought you liked being free.'
'Dobby does because I no longer have mean master, but it makes my magic weak Harry Potter sir. House elves need to be bonded to a master so his magic stays strong.'
'I never knew that,' Harry took Dobby's hand, 'Okay, you can bond with me if you want. But we'll work on a way for you to have fun clothes without me freeing you, and there will be no punishment from me, nor are you to punish yourself. Now, how do we bond and how can I get you uniform or fun clothes without freeing you?'
'You be just holding your wand and saying you want Dobby as your house elf. All house elves can make clothes Harry Potter sir, all we need is the material which is not clothes.'
Harry grinned, 'Perfect. Now, one other problem, first is I will need money so you can get material and a few other things I might need, but I can't get to Gringotts.'
'An owned house elf can go to Gringotts for their masters Harry Potter sir, we shop for our masters as well. Old nasty master and his family were lazy, they made Dobby do everything.'
'You are wonderful Dobby. So let's bond then I will get you to help me so we can find more house elves. I'm going to need a lot to help with my plans, then I'm going to need to fix my family's house so we have somewhere to live. I'm never going to return to the Dursleys, not when I have enough money to live on.'
Dobby told Harry what to say, then he recited the words. A flash of light which turned into a golden thread passed between Harry and Dobby. Both of them couldn't stop smiling. Harry asked Dobby for a room in the castle he could use but stay hidden from everyone. Dobby told him about the come-and-go room, then dragged Harry to the seventh floor to show him.
Harry knew the moment he stepped into the room that he would be using this room often. He decided to stay there and have some lunch, which Dobby provided. It gave harry time to think up some way to live through this whole nonsense. Once Harry began to eat, Dobby went to find all the free house elves to ask if they wanted to bond with a new master who is great and kind to house elves.
Harry spoke kindly to the house elves and then explained his rules, like not punishing themselves. If they feel like they did something wrong they were to come to Harry and talk to him. They could ask a question or ask for something without fear of being given clothes or punished. The main thing Harry wanted was loyalty so no one would find out anything Harry didn't want anyone to know.
Harry spoke for a good twenty minutes and many of the house elves looked curious. They had never met a wizard who would want them to be more friends than master and servant. But when Harry said they could work all they wanted as well as have time to themselves, they all wanted to bond with him.
Dobby would introduce each house elf then Harry would recite the bond. It took a while and he knew he would forget many of their names, so he would have Dobby always remind him. Winky was one of the elves that did the bond and the only thing Harry said to her, for now, was to get sober and look after herself. One thing Harry did was have Dobby write down all their names and then Harry could find out what types of things they might like to wear. He explained they could be classed as uniforms for the Potter house, but he wanted clothes that they would like but also fun clothes, along with being practical.
It was about halfway through the end of the day when Harry had an idea. Why not ask Sirius for some advice? Harry felt that with shit like this going on he needed to come from an adult's perspective as well. Just before dinner, Harry made his way to the Owlery with a hurriedly written note clutched in his fist. In it, Harry had written:
Dear Padfoot,
Hope you're okay, the last few days back here's been terrible, I'm sure you heard it or not but my name came out and Now I have to participate in this fucking shit.
And my former friends have abandoned me in this shit. I am glad at least now I don't have to worry about another peter Pettigrew. Anyway, I am writing because I need help and you are the only one whom I can trust for my life. Please Give a list of some books and also can you please tell me about what house potter is. When I was bonding with the elf they told me that the house potter is an Ancient and Noble Family, what does that mean? I tried to search in the library but nothing came up and I can't even ask others. And please don't come back to England, you should stay where you are and I am safe here apart from this Triwizard tournament.
Please write back quickly.
Yours, Harry James Potter
Despite Sirius's insistence on changing owls, he decided to attempt to appease Hedwig by using her instead of one of the school owls. Harry watched her taking flight with his note attached to her leg, wondering how quickly his godfather will get back to him. He didn't have to wait very long, however, as Sirius' reply was delivered the following morning just before breakfast ended. Deciding to read it later, Harry stuffed it into his pocket and waited until he was well-shot of anyone before opening it.
He broke the Black seal.
A small ring fell out and landed softly in his lap. Harry ignored it, for now, too curious to find out who had sent him a letter.
When he started reading, He'd recognized the handwriting as soon as he laid eyes on it. It was from Sirius.
Dear pup
May you be blessed with a bright future.
And whatever happened, know that I am always with you, and thanks for your trust. There's no need to feel afraid. Godfather doesn't bite (unless I happen to be a vampire). The best advice I can give you is to get in touch with your Gringotts and meet there your manager and check for inheritance and get a full body checkup because I believe there are some blocks on you because when you were a child you were very powerful and from what Remus tells me you are only above average. And it's impossible because you see children inherit abilities from parents. James And lily were Already mage class level wizards and you were as powerful as the first year at age of one.
I fear that no one will inform you of this information and you need to know. I would've taught you everything I know myself if I wasn't on run, but unfortunately, I'm, so you will have to work hard to make up for it. There is a list of books you need to get from your vaults and another one of what you have to buy.
You are, as you well know, the Potter Heir. Though I hope that he explained everything and got you, tutors, I'm afraid that Dumbledore left you without information about your position.
I also named you the Heir of the Most Ancient and Noble Family of Black. There is a letter addressed to Gringotts confirming this. You will have to bring it to them and ask them to perform an inheritance ritual. I'll explain more about that later.
Let me get to the point.
Before an Heir of an Ancient and Noble Family turns fourteen, he can more or less behave the way he likes. Of course, there are some expectations from their Family. The best examples you know are of course Draco Malfoy, who is encouraged to behave like he is superior to everyone because everyone thinks he is heir black, and Neville Longbottom, of whom you probably only know that his Grandmother is demanding. Each Family, especially the Ancient and Noble or most Ancient and Noble ones, has certain values that have to be respected by its members.
The most important one is the Family motto. Toujours Pur is the motto of the Black Family. It means 'Always Pure'. It seems very shallow nowadays, but there was a time in which every Ancient and Noble Family had no choice but to marry Purebloods.
The fact that our Motto is Toujours Pur, merely meant back then that they would do everything to uphold the Family honor. The Blacks are known for cunning (which shouldn't be a problem for you. You are more Slytherin than you think, Harry) and poise (I'm sorry, Pup, this means you have to learn pureblood wizarding etiquette).
The Potter Family's credo is Pura Sequi. It means 'To follow purity is my delight'.
The Potters are renowned for their honor. No one will ever doubt the word of a Potter. It even has value as court evidence. This also means that you can't break your promises without shaming the Potter Family.
They were also the protectors of Europe and its people. And let me tell you they were a very private family they were alive your birth would remain secret till you reach Hogwarts.
Another Family value is their huge number of allied Families. You are friendly with the Longbottoms, the Abbots, the Bones, the Blacks of course, and the McGonagall's.
And you have several non-ancient Families under your protection, a complete list can be found in the Potter vault.
The Blacks have alliances with the Lestranges and the Malfoys through marriage. I would advise to annul them, but maybe we should wait and see with the Malfoys. I'll explain why.
Draconis Lucius Malfoy, whom you know as Draco Malfoy, is the Heir secondary of the most Ancient and Noble house of Malfoy. He is also the next in line for the Lordship of Black after you.
He is your heir, Harry.
Only for the Blacks, don't worry, he can't touch the Potter heritage. You could disown Narcissa and by her, Draco, but I wouldn't do that.
As soon as the world hears of a new Lord Black, Narcissa and Draco will ask for an audience. They are required to pledge loyalty to their house and you as their Lord. If they refuse, they will be disowned. If they pledge, Draco has to obey you as much as he does his Father.
In exchange, he is under your protection.
I can't tell you how to do it, but maybe you can still save Draco. The Black Family is way more influential than the Malfoy one.
I can't explain more to you in this letter. You are on your own now, with the books on the list. I can give you a short to-do list to start with as a last help. It is on one of the additional parchments I have enclosed. Learn the information in this letter by heart and burn it all.
With all my love
Padfoot
Your Godfather
Sirius Orion Black
Lord of the most Ancient and Noble House of Black
Harry put down the letter. He had a mission now, and a list to get him started.
Harry was able to make it out to the Room of Requirement without any issues. Harry called dobby to inform him about the room and Dobby explained how the room worked, he thought to himself, "I need a room where I can plan and study in private." "Perfect," he said to himself as he look up to see several spell dummies, some shelves of books, a comfortable-looking couch, and a simple desk with ink and parchment on it. he realized this would be the perfect place to learn and to catch up on subjects he hadn't done well in before.
- Learn about Magical Contracts, and test his theory on the contracts and the confound charm.
- Get in touch with Gringotts.
- Capture Wormtail (Scabbers) he did want to free Sirius as soon as he could.
–- Get the Marauders Map from Fred and George without them knowing. He figured this wasn't stealing because it was rightfully his anyway.
- Get some growth and health potions from Gringotts when he visits them to counteract 10 years of malnutrition and starvation.
Harry realized that he never really explored the limits of this room and decided to take a few moments to do just that. "I need a way to ask questions about the capabilities of this room," he said, hoping that he wouldn't have to leave and come back in every time he wanted to make a small change. Luck was on his side yet again as a large blackboard appeared in front of the couch. After sitting down he read the script that was near the top of the board:
State your question out loud, and it will be answered. I am only able to answer 'yes' or 'no' questions. If the question is not answerable with a 'yes' or 'no' the response will be 'explain further.
Harry had some experience with this type of questioning as it was very similar to someone responding when under the influence of veritas serum. Harry began his questioning:
"Can I remove items from the room that are created here by the room?" - 'No'
"Can I remove items from the room that I conjure, transfigure, enchant that is not created by the room?" - 'Yes'
"Can the room assist me in making my conjurations, transfigurations, and enchantments stronger or even permanent?" - 'Yes'
"Can items mentioned in the previous question be removed from the room, keeping all of their room-assisted properties?" - 'Yes' Harry was excited about that answer as he could start to see the possibilities of that one.
"Can I permanently, with the room's help, duplicate items that the room creates and remove them from the room?" - 'Yes' "Thank God for magical loopholes!" Harry exclaimed before continuing his questioning.
"Can the room create edible food?" - 'Yes
'
"Will the food disappear from my stomach if I eat and then leave the room?" - 'Yes'
"If I first duplicate the food using the room help to make it permanent, will it disappear from my stomach if I eat and then leave the room?" - 'No'
"Can I create a time bubble in the room so that time inside the bubble travels faster than on the outside?" - 'yes'
"Same question as the last but with time moving slower in the bubble?" - 'yes'
"yes!". He knew time was short and he had a lot of work to do, but he had one more question that he wanted to ask.
"Can the room create instructions or the means for me to create another room of requirement at a different location?" - 'Yes'
That was all the answer he needed. "I need a method of creating another Room of Requirement." Boom! A large book dropped in his lap. The cover said, "Creating a Room of Needs by Rowena Ravenclaw". Harry paged through it and found that it was chock full of spells, enchantments, construction materials, and rituals that he would need to perform if he wanted to recreate the Room of Requirement from scratch. Well, he quickly decided that it might be useful in the future, but he didn't have time right then to give it much thought.
"I need the room to assist me in casting the following spell. I need it to be a permanent and exact copy including all magical properties and enchantments." He paused a second to take a breath. And pointed his wand at the book "Gemini" Harry had never felt such power before! He could feel the magic pouring through his arm and into his wand. The spell seemed to take three times as long to finish, but the result was a perfect copy of the book sitting next to the original. With the amount of power that he felt going into the spell, he was sure that it worked. "I don't need the original book anymore," he said to the room, and instantly it was gone, leaving only the copy.
By this time Harry decided to alter his plans a bit. He originally was planning on going for a shopping spree once the summer started, but he figured the room could help him out. He did decide to wait and shop for clothes in a store however because he had no idea what was fashionable, and would need the help of a salesperson.
"I need books on the following: years 2-7 for all classes that Hogwarts offers, Masters in Charms, Masters in Transfiguration, Masters in DADA, Occlumency and Legilimency, Animagus Transformation, Metamorphmagi, Wand Crafting, Broom Crafting, Wards, Fidelius Charm and other ways of hiding an area, Portkey theory, and creation, Apparition theory, Floo Network theory, Common Household Spells, any books written by the Hogwarts founders or Merlin, Magical Contracts, Martial Arts, Enhancement Rituals, and the Dark Arts." Harry wasn't sure about the last two, but he figured it would be good to know about them, and then once informed he could decide whether to use them or not. As he was talking a bookshelf appeared and the books he requested started appearing on the shelves. They were very clearly labeled and organized into categories. Harry felt like that was plenty for now, and would certainly keep him busy through the summer. He was excited to see that there were a few books from each of the founders, but disappointingly there wasn't anything from Merlin. One book he was excited to see was "Parcel Magic" by Salazar Slytherin. Harry figured that there might be some spells in that book that had been lost for a thousand years, assuming of course that Voldemort didn't have a copy. Again Harry asked the room for help and permanently duplicated the entire bookshelf with a single spell. He then decided that he would need something to transport all of his new books, amongst anything else.
After some thought, he decided on creating two items. One would be a standard backpack that would be charmed to be bottomless, and weightless, and would only allow him to remove items from it. All he would have to do would be to stick his hand in the bag and think about the item that he wanted out of it. He could also ask the bag for a list of everything that was currently contained in the bag so that he didn't end up forgetting about things. The second item would be his new trunk. It would have the standard charms of unbreakable, fireproof, and waterproof. It would have two compartments. The first would have the same properties as his backpack, and the second would be a completely furnished manor. The manor would contain 3 master bedrooms, a full kitchen, a living room with a half bath next to it, a library, a potions lab, a practicing/dueling/exercise room, a self-expanding dungeon that would always have at least one cell available, a large storage area about the size of the great hall, and a room of requirement just off of the library. It would be keyed so that only Harry could open it or enter unless he escorted others in. It would also have an auto shrink option as well as an invisibility generator that would even fool Moody's magical eye. Both of these features could be activated from either inside or outside, but again only by him. Harry wasn't very confident that the room would be able to create the items with these specifications, especially the trunk with the Room of Requirement built in, but he figured he would aim for the top and then tone it down from there if the Room failed him.
After announcing to the room his needs along with the descriptions of the items the room seemed to pause for a second as if thinking. Before he had to wait too long, the magic in the room flared up. It was similar to the feeling he got when having the room help him duplicate something, but in this case, it consumed the entire room. He could feel it on his skin and he could sense it on every object in the room and even in the air itself. 20 seconds later it was over, the room went back to normal and before him was an elegant-looking trunk and a black backpack. The trunk looked like it was made out of Rosewood and had a deceptively simple-looking latch to open the first compartment, however, he was not able to see how to get into the manor or activate the shrinking or invisibility functions. "Looks like you failed me didn't ya room?" Harry said mostly to himself. He then started thinking about what features to take out of the trunk for his second attempt. Out of the corner of his eye, he noticed writing appear on the chalkboard.
'No'
Harry couldn't believe it, he didn't even mean to ask the question, but it seems that the room had a sense of pride and answered anyway. "Are you saying that the trunk I asked for was fully created?" - 'Yes'
"Holy Crap! Okay uhh, I need an instruction manual for the usage of the trunk." And just as easily one appeared. The manual wasn't very thick and simply told him to say "I Harry James Potter set the password to _ for the shrinking feature." There were similar statements about invisibility and entering the manor. It said that anything or anyone that he was holding onto when he said the password would enter the manor along with him. He quickly set the passwords to enter the manor, exit manor, invisibility on, invisibility off, shrink, and grow all in parseltongue. He knew that the passwords would only work for him regardless but he didn't want people to know them all the same. Harry decided it was time to test the backpack and the trunk.
"I need a bunch of junk to test my backpack with." Assorted gadgets, quills, parchments, potions, books, and strangely enough a TV remote appeared in front of him. He quickly put them into his backpack and reached his hand in. Thinking about wanting a list of all items, a parchment appeared in his hand. It contained the full list of everything that he had just put in. With his hand back in the bag, he thought about getting the TV remote and immediately felt it in his hand. The parchment glowed blue and he saw the TV remote removed from the list. The bag seemed to be working so he grabbed a few more items and after opening the trunk's main compartment he tossed them in. Reaching in he again thought about and retrieved the TV remote, he followed up by asking for the list of the trunk items. He had earlier tossed the backpack's list into the backpack deciding that would work best instead of leaving lists of his items all about. When he read the trunk's list he noticed that it contained everything from both items. On a whim, he tossed the TV remote into the trunk, reached into his backpack, and asked for it. He was very pleased when it appeared in his hand. Having the two storage areas could become very handy so he wouldn't have to try and keep track of what he had put in which container.
"Shrink" he hissed, followed by a "grow." He also tested the invisibility feature and he was able to see an outline of the trunk, but a quick question to the blackboard confirmed this was because he was the owner, and anyone else would not be able to see anything. It was time to test the Manor feature so after a quick hiss of "enter manor," he appeared in the foyer of his new manor. After a bit of exploring in which he gave himself a quick tour of the entire manor, testing the furniture and the Room of Requirement, he decided that he was quite pleased with what would end up being his new home. The manor was well decorated and the furniture was very comfortable. The bathrooms were extravagant and all had jacuzzi-style soaking tubs along with large separate showers. Every room contained large windows that let in fake 'natural' light and carried an illusion of looking out over a sandy beach. Harry was very happy with his home and figured that anything he needed and didn't include could be covered by the built-in Room of Requirement. So he left the manor and quickly had the room help him permanently duplicate the trunk and the backpack and then allowed the room to reclaim the originals.
A quick tempus spell to check the time and Harry realized that it was already one in the morning! He didn't feel that he had been wasting time as it felt like he had gotten a lot done, but he knew that it was time to get cracking on those books otherwise he wouldn't be able to accomplish everything that he wanted to get done before he had to leave. He asked the room for some tea and a sandwich to help him stay awake and after duplicating both and banishing the originals he was ready to study. He then requests room to create a time bubble to slow time inside the room equivalent to 10 days to 3 years.
