While Jaune looked around for Ren and Nora, Pyrrha approached and greeted him.

"Hello again," Pyrrha said. "Is there anything I can help you with?".

"Pyrrha!" Jaune said, surprised. "What are you doing here? I thought you were from Mistral?".

"I'm from Mistral, that's true," Pyrrha said. "But just because I'm from Mistral doesn't mean that I'll pick Haven Academy. Especially when I want to get away from all the people that have put me on a pedestal".

"Right! I remember you tell me that," Jaune said. "So, Beacon, huh? Could it be you picked Beacon because I told you that I planned to get into Beacon? Pfft! Yeah, right".

"He-he-he…" Pyrrha laughed awkwardly. She had nothing to say to Jaune since he was the deciding factor for her attendance at Beacon. "Anyway, are you looking for someone?".

"Yeah, I'm looking for Ren and Nora," Jaune said. "They're friends that I made during the exam for people who didn't attend combat school".

"Well, if you like, I can help you find them," Pyrrha said. "How do they look like?".

Jaune then described Ren and Nora. Not long after looking for the duo, Jaune and Pyrrha spotted them in the sea of students. Jaune waved his hands, and Nora responded.

"Jaune-Jaune!" Nora said. She then looked at Pyrrha and brought her hand out. "My name is Nora Valkyrie".

"Pyrrha Nikos," Pyrrha said. "And I'm guessing the person beside you is Ren?".

"That's right!" Nora said with surprise. She then grabbed onto Pyrrha's hands. "How did you know?!".

"J-Jaune told me about you two when we were looking for you earlier," Pyrrha said. "And his description of you two are apt".

The four teenagers then started conversing and sharing some stories about each other. However, their conversation was interrupted by Glynda and Ozpin's speech. The speech was good, but Jaune didn't care much for it. Speeches do nothing for Jaune. He had never been motivated by speeches before. This was no different.

Later that evening, after changing clothes, Jaune looked for a spot in the ballroom to sleep. He saw a free space and took it. Moments later, Nora, Ren and Pyrrha arrived in the ballroom and saw Jaune. They decided to set up their sleeping bag next to him since it was better than sleeping next to a stranger.

The group got to know about each other. For example, Ren and Nora didn't know that Pyrrha was a four-time Mistral champion. Pyrrha was afraid of them knowing, by after seeing their reaction, Pyrrha sighed with relief that the duo didn't care for her fame. Meanwhile, Pyrrha learned of Ren and Nora being orphans and that Jaune has seven sisters. This talk went on till midnight.

The following morning, it was finally time for the initiation. Jaune and the other students were at Beacon cliff. Ozpin was making giving out instructions on what they needed to do. After that, all the students were flung one by one.

As Jaune landed on the Emerald Forest, he felt someone was watching him. It was a bird. However, Jaune knew it wasn't a bird, and he didn't care. Why? Because he heard Scáthach, who's hiding in his shadow, laugh. Hiding in Jaune's shadow is something all Jaune's summon can do.

"You're planning to mess with him, aren't you?" Jaune asked Scáthach. And all he received was a giggle. Jaune then sighed. "Well, have fun. I'll go kill Grimm and look for a partner".

Jaune drew Arifar and used Verni to increase his already ridiculous speed. Jaune would quickly and easily bisect any Grimm that he came across. Not long later, he was met with a red-haired spartan, Pyrrha Nikos.

"Hello again, Jaune," Pyrrha said. "I guess we're partners".

"Yup!" Jaune said. He was happy that he was partnered with someone he knew. "Come on, let's explore the Emerald Forest".

"Uhm…" Pyrrha didn't know what to say to Jaune. "Shouldn't we be looking for the temple and retrieve the relic?".

"Don't worry about it. I already know where the temple and relic are," Jaune said. It's true. With Wind sense, Jaune could easily locate the place. Being friends with the wind is a godsend. "So? Are you coming with me to explore the Emerald Forest?".

"As long as you're sure you know where the temple and relics are," Pyrrha said. "I wouldn't want to fail initiation due to not finding the temple and retrieving the relic".

"If you like," Jaune said. "We can head there first, then we can explore the Emerald Forest. How about it?".

"That would be lovely!" Pyrrha said. "Come on! What are you waiting for? The sooner we get the relic, the sooner we can explore the Emerald Forest".

While Jaune and Pyrrha were heading to the temple to retrieve the relic, Scáthach stood close to a bird that was spying on Jaune. The bird was unaware of her presence. Scáthach then grabs the bird. She used her rune to ensure that he didn't transform back to being human for a while.

"Now, now, little birdie," Scáthach said. Then she continued with a threatening voice. "What gave you the guts to spy on my master?".

Qrow was looking at Scáthach, and he was shaking. He felt dread. He felt as if he even twitched for a second. He would be dead. Qrow didn't know what to do. He couldn't speak in his bird form. And if he doesn't talk, he believes he will be killed.

"Oh, don't worry," Scáthach said. "I never expected you to reply. Being a bird and all. All you have to do is listen to me, okay?".

Qrow, who was still shaking, nodded his bird head. He did so with immense fear of death.

"Now, I know for a fact that you are not the one calling the shots," Scáthach said. "Tell that old man to stop spying on my master, or else things will be ugly. Then again, I don't really have to do anything. Not like any of you can harm Jaune in any way. You all are too weak to do anything to him".

Scáthach giggled at her last sentence. However, to Qrow, this giggle was very menacing. All he wanted to do was get away from the person in from of him, but he couldn't since he was in her palm.

"Tell the old man to be careful who he messes with," Scáthach said. "There are people in this world beyond his understanding. And two of those people happen to be both me and my master, Jaune. Now, run along and go back to the old man and report everything that happened here. And if he insists on spying on my master or me, I will make sure that my spear impales you and that old man".

Scáthach then let go of Qrow, who flew away from Scáthach as fast as possible. He didn't want to stay anywhere near Scáthach. The damn woman was too scary. He's never been this scared in his life.

Back with Jaune and Pyrrha, the duo was now at the temple to pick up their relic. Once they were done and ready to leave, Yang and Blake arrived. The pair was quite funny. Yang called the knight a cute little pony. Once Yang picked her 'relic' piece, she saw Jaune and Pyrrha.

"Hey! You're Jaune, right?" Yang asked. Jaune then nodded at her. "My sister Ruby has been talking about you a lot since yesterday. I wanted to meet you since then, to know what kind of 'friend' my sister made".

"Okay…" Jaune said awkwardly since he knew what Yang was implying. "Look, I don't know what type of relationship you think Ruby and I have, but I assure you, we are only friends".

"Right, friends," Yang said. She then sounded serious. "Listen here, Jaune, I don't know what you're up and how you convinced Ruby that you knew who Summer was, but I swear-".

Yang couldn't complete what she was about to say since there was a loud rustling in the trees nearby. Not long after the rustling, out came an Ursa that dropped dead. On top of said Ursa was one Nora Valkyrie. She was using her explosives to make the Grimm move forward.

"Hey, Jaune-Jaune! It's good to see you!" Nora said. "It's too bad that my Grimm mount is now dead. I would have loved you to take a ride on it with Ren and me".

Nora saw the rook chess piece and repeatedly sang, 'I'm queen of the castle'. She only stopped when she heard Ren shout her name. But not long after, a Nevermore few by everyone and they heard Ruby.

"Heads up!" Ruby shouted. When Jaune saw that she was falling, he used Arifar's Verni to make her float and descend slowly. "Thank you, Jaune. Now, do you mind doing that to my partner that is falling as well".

Jaune looked in the sky and saw that someone was falling again. Once more, Jaune used Verni to make her float and descend slowly. This was Weiss Schnee, a pompous heiress. Jaune didn't like her due to her high and mighty attitude in the locker room. But he wasn't so petty that he would allow her to fall to her death.
