I do not own Vampire Diaries

Despite all the powers Death held, he's never done anything even close to this before so he warned her that he may not be able to heal all her injuries no matter how much he wanted to. Anastasia swallowed slightly, she remembered the pain, it was more intense than anything she's ever felt even though she had a higher tolerance for pain compared to others. Pain was the norm to her and yet the burning sensation combined with the agony of having a knife literally rip through her skin was not something she wished to relive. But if this was the one chance she had of living a normal life with her daughter, then she'd do it in a heartbeat so she looked at Death resolutely and thought it'll be worth it, knowing he'll be able to hear it.

Death nodded solemnly at her before he said, "I now must bid you goodbye Anastasia Grace Williams. I wish you and your daughter the best and just remember that where you will wake up was not my decision, blame my older sister Life." The annoyed look on his face made Anastasia giggle, he sounded like any other younger brother complaining about their elder sister even though they were literal entities deciding their fate.

Death heard her thoughts and if he could, he would have rolled his eyes, apparently humans use the action to express their frustration and his sister frustrated him to no end. God, if she had it her way then he wouldn't be doing what he was. It was ironic really considering that life was seen as the benevolent entity and he a merciless one, when in fact his sister was more apathetic than he ever would be.

Anastasia was busy thinking about what TV show she could end up in, there was Merlin, Sherlock Holmes and oh my god, the Vampire Diaries, The Originals or even Legacies. She was so excited, she didn't even notice Death coming towards her until she felt the brush of a cold finger against her forehead and she in the span of an hour at most, again felt herself succumb to the darkness.

Death smiled down at his favourite, before he used his powers to transfer her and her daughter to the new life they will live together with better results than this one. He had made sure that when she woke up there would be a ring on her finger, that would prevent her from burning in the sun, since she had forgotten about that and he couldn't blame her after what happened, he had also made a few other changes which she will find out later. So with a few choice words, Anastasia's body disappeared as did the terrified young girl whose life was put on pause the second her mother was taken. He had done that in an effort to keep her safe from the hands of that man for as long as it took for Anastasia to agree. He had known she would and he also knew what she would ask for so he had personally made sure the little girl would remain safe. He knew that when Anastasia would wake up, she'd curse the living daylights out of his sister, which he chuckled at, that girl was a firecracker when she wasn't being controlled left, right and centre and he knew this experience would be life-altering for the both of them especially with a curious Damon Salvatore. He couldn't wait to see this play out, it was going to be entertaining.
