I do not own Vampire Diaries

Anastasia opened her eyes slightly as she tried to turn over in her bed before she groaned at the sensation that spread throughout her body. She felt a pain in her abdomen and in random other places before suddenly everything came rushing back, James killing her, meeting Death, the ultimatum and then her eyes widened, her little angel. She frantically began searching around the room as she pulled herself up trying her best to ignore the agonising pain as she's always done to get to her daughter. And then her heart began to steady as her breathing rate calmed down considerably as she saw her little angel curled up next to her and clutched in her arms was her favourite teddy, the one James had thrown in the fire right in front of her little angel no matter how much her baby had sobbed or how much she had begged him not to. She was shocked at how it had got there before she actually took a good look around the room, it was her room, in her Dad's house, she hadn't been here in a long time. What the hell was she doing here? She had thought it was going to be in a TV show? Is this what Death meant when he said that where she was going to wake up was not his idea but apparently his sister's. God, no wonder he was annoyed by her, she already felt the same and she hasn't even met her yet. She couldn't believe she was back here though she had to admit she would choose her Dad over James any day but still that didn't mean she wanted to be here she thought as she repeatedly cursed Life to hell and back. Unbeknownst to her, a certain entity was laughing uproariously as his sister huffed in irritation crossing her arms over her chest as she stalked away from leaving him in his amusement.

Anastasia had then looked down and noticed that there was a ring on her finger, where on earth did that come from she thought as she pulled it off for a second before she nearly screamed at the burn she felt on parts of her body, what the hell? She thought before she put the ring back on to experiment if that was the problem and as soon as she did, the burn faded away as did the wounds on her body. She was so confused until she saw that everywhere she had felt the burn had been facing the window, where she saw the rays of light coming through, so instead of sparkling in the sun, she burned instead, wonderful. She internally thanked Death who had obviously been the one to give her this nifty ring, otherwise she'd probably be ashes by now.

Just as Anastasia was about to get out of bed, she heard a knock on her door and when she called out for who she knew to be her father to come in, she paused at the sight of him, it brought back a lot of unpleasant memories for her so she just turned away from him and set to getting out of bed, waiting for him to say whatever meaningless he had to say as she winced in pain. She noticed her father's eyes glance down at her hand over her abdomen before he looked up at her with an unidentifiable emotion in his eyes that disappeared as soon as it came, going back to its regular emotionless expression as it always did whenever he talked to her. He then said, "Have you got packed yet?"

"Packed?" Anastasia asked confused, what the hell did he mean by that as she paused rummaging around in her closets for something to wear, desperately wanting to get out of these clothes. She turned around to him as he looked at her with clear irritation on his face.

"Yes. Packed. I already told you about the new job I've got near this town called Mystic Falls so we're moving there tomorrow. Now get packed and don't even think about making me late, I need to be at the job at 8 in the morning so we'll leave at 6 from here, Understand?" Her dad asked curtly, not even waiting for a response from her before he shut the door behind him, the slam causing her little angel to wake up and start crying. She immediately was at her side pushing down the pain for the sake of her daughter as she cuddled up next to her making sure Liana wasn't near her abdomen, as she rested her head on top of hers. She didn't want her to see the tears running down her face as she clutched the most precious thing in the world, her little angel. She felt a certain familiarity with the town her father had mentioned but she couldn't remember anything to do with it, apparently Death had did what he said and removed her memories of whatever show she was in, though she felt inside that she should know everything about it but she didn't, it was a weird feeling. She shook her head to clear it of her confused thoughts because right now the bad didn't outweigh the good but she did hope that things would change for her, but more importantly for her child.

Once her little angel stopped crying she said, "Hey Liana, baby, are you okay?"

Her baby looked up at her with teary eyes as she said, "Yes mommy but you weren't. Bad man hurt you. Do you wan me to kiss it better like you do for me?"

Anastasia felt a sob about to come out her throat as she realised that her baby remembered everything, she wondered how exactly she had come here in this world but she could hardly care less, all that mattered was that her baby was ok. She felt uncomfortable though as she realised that from the glance from her dad, it was clear he knew the gist of what happened which she just pushed aside to deal with later, right now she needed to focus on her baby so she replied, "No baby, I'm ok or at least I will be," for once truthful about her feelings.

Her little angel nodded at her with slightly sleepy eyes so she set her back in bed cuddled up with her teddy bear but as she was about to turn and get out of these clothes, she felt a small hand grasp the end of her shirt so she turned around as her little angel said, "Stay mommy, please, I'm scared."

Anastasia nearly flinched at the similar words from before, swallowing slightly, she actually took a careful look over her daughter and she noticed that she could see a few marks on her little baby's neck, a few bruises on her face and a busted lip. God she must have really been out of it to have missed that she thought as she moved back in bed and hugged her baby close to her as tears fell down her cheek for the hurt her baby had gone through because of that damned man.

A few minutes later once she was sure Liana was asleep she wanted to practice her powers before going to Mystic Falls tomorrow so she willed all of her stuff, besides two outfits for both her and her baby along with shoes, to be packed, and in an instant the rest of her and her baby's clothes, shoes and basically every possession was put in the suitcases she had in one of her cupboards and she gasped as she looked in the mirror on one of her cupboards opposite her, her eyes were gold just like Merlin's. She felt a giddy smile stretch across her face as she digested the fact that she could actually be an animagus, apparate wherever she wanted, have premonitions of what was to come and be a vampire, which she was confused about, why would she want to be a vampire, the only vampire thing she's ever watched was Twilight and she hated the series, maybe it was something to do with this world, she had perhaps forgotten why because it had something to do with the show she was in. She felt like a child and it was a lighter feeling than anything she's felt in the past 5 years of her miserable life, though as she looked down at her little angel, she vowed this would be a fresh start for them. Her daughter deserved better as did she.

She then thought of something else to do so she looked down at Liana and waved her hand over her face and with one thought all her bruises seemed to vanish out of nowhere. She sighed in relief as her little angel cuddled closer with a content smile on her face, clearly the lack of bruises had made her more comfortable and she was beyond glad for that because she hated seeing them on her baby's face. She realised though that her dad would ask how the bruises had healed overnight since he had already seen it so she waved her hand again and made the bruises appear back on her baby's face but making sure that Liana wouldn't be able to feel anything. She then tucked a strand of hair behind her angel's ear as she kissed her forehead before she tried summoning a few things to her, that would help her treat her little angel's injuries. In an instant they all came towards her so fast that she quickly willed them to stop and they all dropped on her bed thankfully, that was a close one. A few minutes after she did what she could, putting the necessary ointments on her daughter who stayed fast asleep, she picked up the things and got off the bed putting them in her purse just in case she forgot to take them tomorrow.

She then moved in front of the mirror in front of their bed. She lifted her shirt from the bottom to see the bandages covering her lower torso which she carefully started to unravel all the while wondering how they had gotten there. Once she was done she looked at where the stitches were placed and closed her eyes as she sobbed slightly, she knew exactly where the knife had hit, she could feel it and she was a professional doctor, she just knew these things, it was too deep of a cut to have missed it after all. She could never have children. Wait! What if she heals it as she did her daughter's? She waved her hand over her abdomen as she thought about what she wanted but nothing happened, she tried again and again only to get the same result. What on earth? Did the powers stop working or something, she thought as she went back to her child and removed the bruises before putting them back again and it worked. Why wouldn't it work for her then? She then remembered that in one of the Merlin fanfics she read, Merlin's magic would allow him to heal others but never himself, which is shown in the TV show a few times too. When Merlin got shot with an arrow for instance, he couldn't heal himself, it was Kilgharrah who did. A tear then feel down her cheek as she realised that she'll never have children again and that James had not only been the reason for the death of her firstborn but now any future children she might have had as well. However as she looked at her little angel sleeping peacefully for the first time in a long time, she thought that it would be a good thing, she refused to get close to another man again, it would only end badly, her little angel was enough for her and she always would be.
