Lucario was at the front door of Shinjitsu's house, pressing the doorbell and waiting for an answer. Inside of his house were pictures of flowers on the wall next to the door, along with a picture of fruits next to the kitchen door, and a table with an ice bucket on it.

Shinjitsu, wearing his suit and pants but without a hat, walked to the front door and opened it for Lucario. Lucario glanced at him with a look that Shinjitsu knew too well, and he smiled nervously.

Well, Shinjitsu, I made it. Despite your directions, Lucario said with a tinge of annoyance. Shinjitsu chuckled nervously and scratched the back of his head.

''Sorry about that, boss,'' Shinjitsu said.

You are forgiven, he said in a neutral tone.

Shinjitsu regained his composure, cleared his throat and put on a happy face. ''I hope you're prepared for an unforgettable luncheon!'' Lucario entered the house, but stopped when he started sniffing. Shinjitsu cocked his head.

''What's wrong, sir?'' Lucario turned around and looked at Shinjitsu.

You should take a look at your oven, Shinjitsu. The smell of smoke is coming from your kitchen, which means that your roast is ruined.

Shinjitsu scoffed and then laughed. ''What? Oh, come on, sir,'' he said, entering the kitchen through the other door. When he went to his kitchen, he said, ''I'm sure it's not that b-OH YE GODS!'' Shinjitsu shrieked. He saw smoke coming from his oven. He ran toward the oven, opened it, and saw the roast burning in flames. Lucario was right.

Shinjitsu closed the oven door and saw Lucario with his arms crossed. He bowed to him and said, ''G-Gomennasai!'' I'm sorry. Lucario sighed and shook his head.

I'll handle it, Shinjitsu. He stepped aside for Lucario to open the oven door, and used the move Life Dew to put the fire out, and sure enough,

it worked. Now the roast was nothing more than burnt meat. Shinjitsu sighed in relief, but when he saw Lucario glaring at him, he gulped.

''I'm really sorry, sir. I promise I'll make up for this.'' Shinjitsu looked around and saw some wheat flour, salt, water, and kansui beside the stove and got an idea.

''What if I were to cook some ramen instead? Delightfully delicious, huh, boss?'' Shinjitsu asked. Lucario looked at the ingredients beside the stove and back at him.

Alright. But promise you won't mess it up, Shinjitsu.

''I won't, sir. I promise.'' Lucario nodded and left the kitchen. And so, Shinjitsu would spend a few minutes cooking ramen noodles. Once it was done, his tail lashed and he grabbed two bowls with chopsticks on the ramen. He left the kitchen and he put the bowl on the table in front of Lucario.

''Lucario-san, I hope you're ready for mouthwatering steamed ramen noodles!'' Lucario cocked his head as Shinjitsu put his own bowl of ramen on the table.

I thought we were having spicy ramen noodles.

''Oh no, sir, I said steamed ramen noodles,'' he said, sitting down. ''That's what I called ramen.''

Lucario raised his eyebrow.

You called ramen steamed ramen noodles?

''Yes, sir. It's a regional food.''

Uh huh. What region?

''Uh, at Maekyo.''

Really? Well I've been at Kurosaka and I never tried steamed ramen noodles.

''Oh no, sir, not at Kurosaka, no, it's a Tenkyo food.'' Lucario nodded.

I see.

The two began to eat the steamed ramen noodles using the chopsticks. When Lucario slurped it, his eyes widened and his body froze. He glanced at the bowl and then at Shinjitsu. The texture from the ramen was something that caught Lucario's attention.

You know, Shinjitsu, these ramen noodles were cooked to perfection. I'm impressed. He said, smiling. Shinjitsu smiled with excitement.

''Oh, thank you so much, sir! It's an old family recipe!'' Lucario smiled more, sensing just how proud Shinjitsu felt about his recipe.

You certainly are a great cook, Shinjitsu. After a few minutes of eating, Shinjitsu felt his stomach growling. Lucario could tell that it wasn't from hunger, but from something else.

Shinjitsu's eyes widened and darted left and right. ''Uuuuuh, sir, may I uh...'' Lucario nodded. Shinjitsu stood up and said, ''Thank you, boss.'' then ran to the bathroom door. Lucario finished the ramen noodles and smiled. He used the napkin to wipe off the mess on his mouth and face and waited for a minute.

Shinjitsu came out from the bathroom door and yawned. ''Well, that was wonderful. Good time was had by all, I'm pooped!'' Lucario stretched after he stood up.

Yes, well, we should be- His eyes widened when he saw something on Shinjitsu's tail. Good Arceus, what is that on your tail!?

''Huh?'' Shinjitsu looked behind him and gasped when he saw that a yellow tail was shown on his tail. The tail moved and it turned out to be Pikachu hiding on his tail. He smiled and said, ''Pikachu!'' His tail was warm!

Lucario smiled and chuckled while Shinjitsu shrieked. ''Ah! Get it off! Get it off!'' He ran which made Pikachu jumped off from his tail. Shinjitsu hide behind Lucario and panted.

Calm down, Shinjitsu. That's Pikachu. He's not going to hurt you.

Shinjitsu sighed in relief once more when Pikachu waved at him smiling. ''I'm sorry, I misjudged you.''

Shinjitsu and Lucario left the house, but they stopped when they heard Pikachu's voice.

''Pika... Pika bi... Pikachu?'' Lucario, is he a brown Pachirisu?

No, Pikachu, he's just a squirrel.

He glanced at Shinjitsu and said, Well, Shinjitsu, you did screw up when you made the roast, but I'll forgive you for that mistake. Besides... Lucario flashed a smile at Shinjitsu.

You steam a good ramen. Shinjitsu gave him a thumbs up and the two walked along with Pikachu.
